Let me start with I have never been a fan of fried chicken for breakfast and I don't think much of grits, but I heard good things so we went. This place changed my opinion of both. It was so delicious we went back the following day. Super friendly staff and delicious food. So many options, everything my wife and I had was great! read more

Oh. Em. Gee. You definitely get what you pay for. My husband and I lucked up and only had to wait about 5 minutes to place our order and I would have waited 55 minutes! On our way out of town, the line to get in was lined out to the road. That is saying something. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing, the biscuits were out of this world, everything was delicious. This was the best place we have been to for breakfast and we can't wait to go back! read more

Absolutely delicious!!! Go with an empty stomach because you wouldn't believe the portions! Great menu options for all as well as a nice brunch cocktail selection . Service was great and the food was quickly delivered. The only down side was the amount of people that also loved this place because it was packed so, definitely don't go during peak times! Bravo for a job well done!! read more

Been to vicious biscuit a few times since it opened. Usually, the food is pretty good and service is fast. However last time I went, around 11 am on a week day, they were out of gluten free biscuits and said they weren't making anymore for the day, even though they didn't close for 4 more hours. Very inconvenient for I'm sure a lot of customers with allergies. read more

The food and service were awesome. It explains why the line was out the door, which I here is normal. We had three different orders and everyones food was great! Watch out for some of the jams, the blackberry and blueberry are Vicious! read more

Food was great. Food was served not as warm as we thought it should've been, but was still very tasty.

Fantastic breakfast! Casual, seat yourself after ordering at counter. Line was long but moved quickly. Coffee was tasty and hot. They have whole milk and half and half to add. Grits were some of the best from a restaurant I've had. Creamy, hot, and not too salty. Biscuits are huge and they have a choice of serve yourself jams. We can't wait to go back! read more

So delicious and worth waiting in their line! The best biscuit on this side of the Cooper River!

This was the first stop on our Charleston trip and it did not disappoint! There were so many biscuits to choose from but I couldn't say no to bacon jam and pimento cheese. The biscuit was perfectly flaky and buttery. The chicken filet was fried with just amount of crisp and not oily. I also got a mimosa (not pictured) which they used fresh orange juice. I love fresh orange juice mimosas read more

Vicious biscuit was a very nice surprise. The biscuits were made from scratch and very good. I ordered the chicken biscuit with gravy on the side and syrup. Didn't enjoy the gravy it had a sweet undertone that I didn't like. The chicken, biscuit and syrup were great! read more

As the name would suggest, the biscuits were AMAZING! There's a butter and jam bar with some delicious toppings. Make sure you try the apple jam, strawberry jam, and honey butter. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very clean inside and had cute decorations. Getting any fried chicken biscuit is recommended as those are the best. The beignets are also very good, as long as you like cinnamon. Coffee was somewhat mediocre. Overall, though, a very good breakfast place! read more

The food was excellent and very good. Once the food was Ordered it did not take long to receive. The staff was very nice and accommodating. You need to expect a while to Order given the popularity of the restaurant and the fact they only take one Order at a time. Orange juice was freshly squeezed and delicious. Food was even better. read more

Oh. My. God. If you haven't been here, run don't walk to Vicious Biscuit. First of all, everyone who works there is super friendly and sweet. Their biscuits are the size of my head. Perfectly soft in the middle, salty and buttery on the outside. I cannot rave about this place enough. As soon as we left I pulled up their website to see if I could order some biscuits to be shipped home to me back in Ohio. Maybe someday, haha!! read more

My husband doesn't even like biscuits very much, and this was our best meal in Charleston. Of course, if you're a biscuit shop in the south, your biscuits need to be on point... and these absolutely were. Try the maple bourbon butter-the hubby practically wanted to eat it with a spoon. read more

We are here this morning and it was great! I ordered The Flame Thrower. It was really good. Not too much heat, just really good flavor. Service was fast and the people were extremely friendly and helpful. When you make the wise decision and decide to eat here, do not neglect The Scotlyn! You'll thank me! read more

We were visiting Charleston and loved this place for breakfast! It was a nice indulgence to eat these delicious biscuits in large, southern portions and flavors. The kids loved their PB and J one, and we enjoyed the crab Benedict and shrimp and grits, a staple and tradition to the beautiful state of South Carolina. Generous portion, will definitely fill you up. read more

I wish we had a Vicious Biscuit in our home town. Every time we come to mount pleasant, we come to vicious biscuit. I've seen lines out the door on weekends, but we've only ever gone early on a week day, and we've never had an issue with a line. I love the Silence of the Ham. The manager suggested we smear strawberry jam on the biscuit, and it was out of this world. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed, and it's the best orange juice I've ever tasted. I highly recommend. read more

Viciously good biscuits! Only one thing you need to know--Get The Vicious! It's the first biscuit on the menu and the best thing you'll ever put in your mouth for breakfast or brunch. Don't be discouraged by the line. They move people in and out quick. I was a little worried when I went with a larger party of friends because it is seat yourself and was so busy but by the time we were through the line we found a table to fit us all without issue. Just go and treat yo self! You won't be disappointed. PS. Their drinks are amazing too! read more

Nice people nice place and good food. The bacon was cooked to perfection. Enjoy your breakfast.

We had the fat boy and vicious and both were exceptional. Daughter got a plan biscuit and sausage and my son had bacon and a waffle. All was very good and portions were large which is appropriate as it's $8-10 per person before beverages. Big fan and we will be back read more

Four of us enjoying a Saturday breakfast before our boat to Fort Sumter. Great biscuits and really lovely cinnamon sugar butter. Cheerful staff and nice seating outside made a fun start to the day Stop in soon! read more

Went in midweek about 11am. I had the Mater and my sweetie had the Benny. The biscuits were nice and flaky, everything you want in a biscuit. The Benny had way too much hollandaise sauce and the Mater, well, I could hardly find the tomato under all the bacon relish and pimento cheese. So I guess that could be a plus for some people. It wasn't for me. The thing that I keep coming back to though is the waste from the plastic cups. The staff told us 'oh we don't wash these we just throw them away.' That is so wasteful and all that plastic going to the landfill is disgusting. read more

Great breakfast spot, don't let the line dissuade you it moves fast. The biscuits are larger and very moist. We had the ranchero (just okay) and the crab Benny (out of this world good). They also have a self serve bar with different flavor butters to finish off your extra biscuit. Oh, the fresh squeezed OJ is a must! I'd go there just for that. Super good! read more

Two-thirds of the way through an order of a viscous biscuit, a hair came out of the biscuit and gravy when cutting a forkful. I took it up to the cashier, who called a gentleman over, who then offered me a completely new order of same. Yuck after discovery. Probably a rare occurrence, but that was enough for me. You must go to cashier to order, though your order is delivered to your table. I was there around 11. VERY NOISEY. Sure wouldn't want to try to have much conversation. There is outside dining too. read more

Great biscuits. Definitely worth the wait and traveling outside of Charleston for. Service was great and the prices were reasonable.

My husband is originally from Mt Pleasant and we were visiting for the week. They have amazing biscuits, delish bacon, yummy maple gravy (seriously- this Canadian loved it) and fantastic grits! We will definitely visit again!!!! Thanks for also bringing out more powdered sugar for our 8 year olds waffle ! read more
