I'm previously on record that Daps is the best brunch in Chs. This was the case 3-4 years ago but due to their new menu this just isn't the case. Recently, I ordered nearly the whole menu for my fam and found myself disappointed in the changes made. The ingredients have degraded in quality, the flavor has shifted poorly, and the menu has become much more quotidian. Their Cinnamon Toast Crunch sticky bun used to be colorful, buttery, and crunchy from a layer of cereal. Now...well it's visually bland and without texture. The mushroom and spinach hash was legitimately bad. In all fairness THE DONUT IS AMAZING AND PUTS KRISPY KREME TO SHAME. BRAVO. Fruity pebble pancake slaps as usual. The cortado was also made well. The service came without smiles or patience.. I used to love this place, buy their merch, and recommend this spot to all my out of town friends. That is no longer the case for me but perhaps you'll find better luck.

DAPS Breakfast is a quaint neighborhood breakfast restaurant. Locate in the West End neighborhood in Charleston SC. DAPs breakfast menu offers you an arrange of breakfast items from Chorizo Gravy to DAPS Brunch Burger and everything in between. DAPS also offers you a variety of vegan choices. Their price's are on point and portions sizes are worth every penny you spend. Although inside seating is limited, they offer outdoor seating. If you are unable to make it to the restaurant, they do offer delivery through Uber Eats. I really enjoy their pancakes, one will fill your belly. DAPS Breakfast Plate is amazing. Their potato hash is amazing. I recommend this wonderful little neighborhood restaurant.
Okay, so let me start off by saying, if you come on a rainy day expect to standing, atleast for a little. There are only about 5 tables inside, and then outside they have some picnic tables. Because it was raining, and people were standing, people who had the tables tried their best to eat and leave, and not just hang around - which I think displays the kindness of both the customers and staff! By the time I got my food I was able to sit down and eat, which worked out perfectly! I got the big meaty hash (add spinach and cheese sauce) w/ wheat toast and a black currant mandarin mimosa. The meaty hash is sooo good and so filling, make sure to get extra extra of the cheese sauce, it just really ties everything together, and the spinach because it makes me feel a tiny bit healthy lol. For the toast I asked for jam, and usually I wouldn't just leave a review about the jam but OMG it was really good! If you're like I don't need jam for my toast, get it anyway, trust me lol. For the mimosa I was going back and forth on whether I wanted to try a classic (orange or pineapple) or try something different, the cashier talked me into trying something different and I'm glad he did! If you like the flavor of sangria then you'll love this mimosa! The mimosa was $12 for one but I was feeling tipsy 1/4 of the way in so they give you your moneys worth lol. All in all I will definitely go by this place again next time I'm in Charleston, if you're staying downtown, it's worth the drive!!!
Daps Breakfast & Imbibe is literally one of the reasons I had to come back to Charleston, it's that good! The Big Meaty Hash with cheese sauce is absolutely incredible. Trust me, once you try it, you'll want to order an extra cheese sauce on the side. The Fruity Pebble Pancake is a nostalgic treat, bringing back memories of Saturday morning cartoons with its sweet, fun flavor. And to top it all off, the Prickly Pear Lime Mimosa was the perfect balance of tart and refreshing, making it the ideal way to wash everything down. It's a really cozy place with only a few seats to sit down, but it's jammed packed with how good the food is. This spot is a must-visit for brunch lovers. Can't wait to come back again!
A solid breakfast spot. Not too much indoor seating but some fun menu options. I didn't order the breakfast banh mi but I'd come back to try it for sure! Pancakes were perfectly fluffy and bacon was crispy. That's all you could really ask for!

Some mornings you need a quiet, cozy place to sip your coffee and enjoy a great breakfast and Daps fits that bill to a tee. Nestled in a small older home it has a very laid-back atmosphere. You could drag yourself out of bed and with your dog saunter in here and fit right in. We started with mimosas that are hand squeezed right at the bar. It was interesting to see what a difference fresh squeezed really enhanced the flavor. The standard Hash has great Waffle House vibes which is a good thing. The potatoes are fresh, the cheese sauce blends in providing a nice binding agent and the onion to potato ratio is just about perfect! The breakfast burrito is one of their most popular items and I could see why. Served West Coast style it has potato, chorizo gravy, eggs, and cheese sauce with a hatch chili sauce on the side. It is just the right size, filling but not too much to eat. The ingredients are super fresh and that Hatch Chili sauce is mandated for maximum tastiness. The Fruity Pebble pancakes will transport you back to your childhood with a generous pancake topped with the sugary cereal. It is sweet and decadent. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch sticky bun is the stuff of sweet dreams! Brown butter maple glaze, Hawaiian roll, mint cream and of course lots of crunchy toast crunch cereal. It will make you smile with every bite. But if you want to reach Nirvana, take it home, heat it up in the microwave and add a nice dollop of vanilla ice cream! It will send into sugary bliss. Service was excellent and it was a place that just makes you feel at home. A must breakfast try if you haven't already! read more
+1 for good service and +1 for allowing furry friends. I haven't been let down by a Yelp pick in a minute, but this one does it. It's overrated. They command a high price for food that's not even served on a plate. It's served on a tray with butcher's paper as if it were from a BBQ joint. They do this for their hash, eggs, pancakes and I'm assuming everything else. No silverware to eat your food with either, just plastic. No table service, it's all self serve except for when they bring the food out. Not even mugs for the espresso or drip coffee. It's served in paper cups, even if you dine in. For reals. All this for when other nearby places offer silverware and table service for a similar caliber? I don't know, this one left a lot to be desired. The burrito was more of an egg and hash brown burrito with a light cheese roux that had the essence of chorizo. It's like having a LaCroix except it's an even bigger letdown. Vibes were alright. Again, about the only standout was the great service and dogs being welcomed. I'd pass on this in the future, unfortunately the nice folks up front can't carry the rest of the shortfalls. read more
Wanted to try something that wasn't immediately downtown. I got the breakfast burrito. It's a 3 out of 5. A lot of egg in the burrito. Super soft egg, but the burrito itself isn't very flavorful. The chorizo is there in name, but not there in texture or flavor. It came out super hot, which is good. The staff is super nice, but the burrito is a 3 out of 5. The donut itself was a 5 out of 5: super soft, really good flavor, really good glaze, nice weight especially for its size. The coffee was a 3 out of 5. The staff was really nice. There was no one else in there but us when we came to eat. read more

Daps never lets me down. Great service, good vibes and I could eat pounds of their toast and never be sick of it. People often complain about pricing but I think the portions are worth the pay. read more

Stopped in to Daps for a quick lunch. It was pretty slow near their closing time (we came around 1pm), so no trouble getting a seat and didn't have to wait long for the food. Went with their cheeseburger, which is a patty melt with an egg on white bread. Pretty good overall, it had pickled, grilled onions, sauce, an egg, and was served with a cheese sauce which was different (and good). Also had the banh mi - which was just ok, wouldn't order again. The pork belly was too sweet - it was a maple glaze (menu just says glazed). Needed more pickled veggies (they needed to have more acid as well) to offset that sweetness, but the pork mousse helped a bit. Anyway, I see what they were going for but it missed the mark if we're gonna call it a banh mi. The hash browns were great - I like the long thing strands of potato, like spaghetti almost. Wish there were more well done parts - those were the best with added texture. This was also served with the cheese sauce, onions, and a piece of toast. read more
This place is nestled near downtown Charleston. There is a patio, diner seating on the inside and a few booths as well. For breakfast we ordered two lattes, the OG pancake and the spinach and mushroom hash. The service is cool too they were welcoming and provided insight on their menu. read more
Order the hash!!! Just do it!! It was so fresh and had tons of flavor - not your average breakfast food. The half portion was huge. I also tried the patty melt which was great, but the hash was the shining star. Coffee was great and I love that they have their own unique cups! You order at the counter and seating is no order come first serve. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to come out, and a few tables opened up by the time it was ready. Might be hard if you're bringing a large group, but you could always take it to go and bring it to hampton park (just down the street). 10/10 experience - best brunch I've had in CHS! read more
It's not often that I prefer the sweet breakfast over the savory but Daps' Fruity Pebbles Pancakes are both cute + delicious! Not too sweet, its a nostalgic flavor pancake. Also got the pork cake which was okay, not my favorite. With the work "cake" in the name, I expected something more juicy, but the pork cake was crunchy and dry. Came on the weekend so the wait was a while, we sat outdoors, and their seating is too cute. Lots of flies (which isn't their fault it smells so good) so table fans to help swat it away would have been nice (hint hint) Grabbed a drink while we waited for food, super cute place overall. read more
I finally got to try daps, I always want to try but always tend to go to my regular spots but today I really wanted a breakfast burrito so I sought out a new spot for me! I ordered online because I heard that it can get really busy and it was easy to do so, I went and picked it up at the counter. I ordered the classic breakfast burrito and it was really yummy, I will say I am more of a spicy breakfast burrito kind of person but this was savory and cheesy! They put a cheese sauce inside and it was yummy, the eggs were very fluffy and the onions and potatoes were yummy! I think if I had a hot sauce or something to put on top it would be a 10/10 for me they give a green sauce on the side but it wasn't spicy. I still loved trying this place and I think next time I'll order a breakfast sandwich. Also their drinks looked so yummy. Definitely will be back for one of those. read more
I wasn't expecting this place on the corner of a neighborhood and only because I'm not from here and we found parking easily. The staff was very friendly upon walk in. The food (I had the veggie hash) was as I make it at home ... literally exactly as I make it at home so they hit home for me. My son ordered the chickpea patty on English muffin (no egg) and he devoured it. It was a large portion. My ice Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte was perfect in sweetness and flavor. This is a great casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend. read more

Absolutely incredible brunch/cafe hub in Charleston! Parking is a bit hard to find, but it's truly worth it. The food was delicious and filling, staff were friendly, and the merch inside was so precious. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and this would be a great spot to work remote. Can't wait to return! The mimosa carafe was delish, and you even get to take home the cups! read more
Had them once and really wanted to check out their shop. Space is cute they do have some tables outside and a small bar area. My girlfriends and I had such a good time we split a massive pancake it was so good! I tried the BEC before so I went with the Bahn Mi sandwich was sooo good. And the staff super nice. I've been told by numerous friends I just HAD to try this place - so i finally did the deed and drove my little butt there. Walking in, the place was BUSY. That's good, right? The server immediately informed us it was about 45 minutes turn around time from placing your order to receiving food (as expected). I really appreciated that bit of information tbh. Once we placed our order, I fully expected to have to stand around and wait for a table but surprisingly one opened up fairly quickly. The 3 of us received our beverages (brown sugar cinnamon cappuccino for me - AMAZING, orange juice for another, and the third ordered a dirty chai - didn't taste as expected but also not bad). Once we received our food (she wasn't lying about the 45 minutes lol), we immediately went to devour our food. Mom loved her hash. She ate every piece of food in the dish. My sister loved her breakfast sandwich - it filled her up very quickly. My ham and Brie was good, but I guess just not what i was expecting?? There was more Brie on the sandwich than anything else. I also didn't know it was going to be scolding hot. The sandwich wasn't hot to touch but as soon as I took a bite, I burnt the roof of my mouth so bad it immediately peeled. After that I sort of lost my appetite. I ate half of the sandwich and called it quits. I'd love to give this place another visit and try one of the MASSIVE pancakes. read more

If you are looking for an amazing breakfast place downtown I have your answer. Daps Breakfast & Imbibe. First time but will not be our last. I never realized eggs could taste that amazing. Food and service were stellar. I had the ham and Brie sandwich. The ham was salty yet sweet. The eggs were so fluffy. My husband got the breakfast burrito and he said it was amazing. Little things like their hot sauce and hatch chili added that special something. read more
RUN, don't walk, for their coffee!!! They have a cayenne honey syrup that will literally knock your socks off. I had half cayenne honey and half vanilla syrup in an iced latte to help balance the kick. It's been almost a week since I had it and I still can't stop thinking about it! To eat, I ordered the standard hash (half order) add spinach. It was good! Their sandwiches looked way better though, so I would check out one of those. read more
Small little restaurant on the corner of a neighborhood. We went here for brunch in the middle of the summer in the middle of the day... it was toasty out but we sat outside at a picnic table. They had lots of fans and water! We ordered coffee drinks first which were all very good, if you're a coffee connoisseur! Then we each ordered a meal and the fruit pebble pancake for the table! Everything that we ordered was delicious, and the service was great too! Would definitely recommend for brunch if you're looking for some good coffee and food!! read more

Daps it's probably one of my favorite spots for a brunch and mimosa! They make their own mimosas in house on draft and they also can them for you to buy their cans to go! You can also find their cans around town! They're known for their amazing, huge, fantastic pancakes in French toast along with their killer hashes! Truly I love the hash. It's one of my favorites. It's just a great hearty breakfast perfect with a mimosa. They usually offer a regular version and a different seasonal mimosa whenever you're going! My husband loves the Bloody Mary! It is a smaller location with a few spots inside they did expand their outdoor seating to now have a few more tables so there is some more options to fitting but quickly find a table once one opens up! If it's nice outside, it's an amazing brunch downtown super casual great for groups and all ages! read more

Came here for a quick breakfast while on the road, and it was pretty good. When we arrived, there was a huge line, but it moved fast, so it was not too bad. We ordered the BLT and the hash. The food took quite some time to come out, and when it did, it was pretty good. The BLT came with homemade herb toast, which was perfectly crisp. My boyfriend really enjoyed their hash. Overall, I'd return, but I would be ready to wait long for my food to come out. OH, the staff was very welcoming and friendly! read more
