You could drag yourself out of bed and with your dog saunter in here and fit right in. We started with mimosas that are hand squeezed right at the bar. It was interesting to see what a difference fresh squeezed really enhanced the flavor. The standard Hash has great Waffle House vibes which is a good thing. The potatoes are fresh, the cheese sauce blends in providing a nice binding agent and the onion to potato ratio is just about perfect! The breakfast burrito is one of their most popular items and I could see why. Served West Coast style it has potato, chorizo gravy, eggs, and cheese sauce with a hatch chili sauce on the side. It is just the right size, filling but not too much to eat. The ingredients are super fresh and that Hatch Chili sauce is mandated for maximum tastiness. The Fruity Pebble pancakes will transport you back to your childhood with a generous pancake topped with the sugary cereal. It is sweet and decadent. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch sticky bun is the stuff of sweet dreams! Brown butter maple glaze, Hawaiian roll, mint cream and of course lots of crunchy toast crunch cereal. It will make you smile with every bite. But if you want to reach Nirvana, take it home, heat it up in the microwave and add a nice dollop of vanilla ice cream! It will send into sugary bliss. I'm previously on record that Daps is the best brunch in Chs. This was the case 3-4 years ago but due to their new menu this just isn't the case. Recently, I ordered nearly the whole menu for my fam and found myself disappointed in the changes made. The ingredients have degraded in quality, the flavor has shifted poorly, and the menu has become much more quotidian. Their Cinnamon Toast Crunch sticky bun used to be colorful, buttery, and crunchy from a layer of cereal. Now...well it's visually bland and without texture. The mushroom and spinach hash was legitimately bad. In all fairness THE DONUT IS AMAZING AND PUTS KRISPY KREME TO SHAME. BRAVO. Fruity pebble pancake slaps as usual. The cortado was also made well. The service came without smiles or patience.. I used to love this place, buy their merch, and recommend this spot to all my out of town friends. Okay, so let me start off by saying, if you come on a rainy day expect to standing, atleast for a little. There are only about 5 tables inside, and then outside they have some picnic tables. Because it was raining, and people were standing, people who had the tables tried their best to eat and leave, and not just hang around - which I think displays the kindness of both the customers and staff! By the time I got my food I was able to sit down and eat, which worked out perfectly! I got the big meaty hash (add spinach and cheese sauce) w/ wheat toast and a black currant mandarin mimosa. The meaty hash is sooo good and so filling, make sure to get extra extra of the cheese sauce, it just really ties everything together, and the spinach because it makes me feel a tiny bit healthy lol. For the toast I asked for jam, and usually I wouldn't just leave a review about the jam but OMG it was really good! If you're like I don't need jam for my toast, get it anyway, trust me lol. For the mimosa I was going back and forth on whether I wanted to try a classic (orange or pineapple) or try something different, the cashier talked me into trying something different and I'm glad he did! If you like the flavor of sangria then you'll love this mimosa! The mimosa was $12 for one but I was feeling tipsy 1/4 of the way in so they give you your moneys worth lol. Stopped in to Daps for a quick lunch. It was pretty slow near their closing time (we came around 1pm), so no trouble getting a seat and didn't have to wait long for the food. Went with their cheeseburger, which is a patty melt with an egg on white bread. Pretty good overall, it had pickled, grilled onions, sauce, an egg, and was served with a cheese sauce which was different (and good). Also had the banh mi - which was just ok, wouldn't order again. The pork belly was too sweet - it was a maple glaze (menu just says glazed). Needed more pickled veggies (they needed to have more acid as well) to offset that sweetness, but the pork mousse helped a bit. Anyway, I see what they were going for but it missed the mark if we're gonna call it a banh mi. The hash browns were great - I like the long thing strands of potato, like spaghetti almost. I also tried the patty melt which was great, but the hash was the shining star. Coffee was great and I love that they have their own unique cups! You order at the counter and seating is no order come first serve. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to come out, and a few tables opened up by the time it was ready. It's not often that I prefer the sweet breakfast over the savory but Daps' Fruity Pebbles Pancakes are both cute + delicious! Not too sweet, its a nostalgic flavor pancake. Also got the pork cake which was okay, not my favorite. With the work "cake" in the name, I expected something more juicy, but the pork cake was crunchy and dry. Came on the weekend so the wait was a while, we sat outdoors, and their seating is too cute. I finally got to try daps, I always want to try but always tend to go to my regular spots but today I really wanted a breakfast burrito so I sought out a new spot for me! I ordered online because I heard that it can get really busy and it was easy to do so, I went and picked it up at the counter. I ordered the classic breakfast burrito and it was really yummy, I will say I am more of a spicy breakfast burrito kind of person but this was savory and cheesy! They put a cheese sauce inside and it was yummy, the eggs were very fluffy and the onions and potatoes were yummy! I think if I had a hot sauce or something to put on top it would be a 10/10 for me they give a green sauce on the side but it wasn't spicy. I still loved trying this place and I think next time I'll order a breakfast sandwich. Also their drinks looked so yummy. Definitely will be back for one of those. read more

I wasn't expecting this place on the corner of a neighborhood and only because I'm not from here and we found parking easily. The staff was very friendly upon walk in. The food (I had the veggie hash) was as I make it at home ... literally exactly as I make it at home so they hit home for me. My son ordered the chickpea patty on English muffin (no egg) and he devoured it. It was a large portion. My ice Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte was perfect in sweetness and flavor. Once we received our food (she wasn't lying about the 45 minutes lol), we immediately went to devour our food. Mom loved her hash. She ate every piece of food in the dish. My sister loved her breakfast sandwich - it filled her up very quickly. My ham and Brie was good, but I guess just not what i was expecting?? There was more Brie on the sandwich than anything else. I also didn't know it was going to be scolding hot. The sandwich wasn't hot to touch but as soon as I took a bite, I burnt the roof of my mouth so bad it immediately peeled. Best breakfast place in Charleston hands down. They're food is so fresh and doesn't taste like the frozen garbage you find at many breakfast spots. The flavors are so creative and a lot of love is poured into each dish. It's also super affordable and worth every penny- I hate paying for a bad breakfast and they never fail me here! The cashiers are also always super welcoming and remember you which is nice. Daps it's probably one of my favorite spots for a brunch and mimosa! They make their own mimosas in house on draft and they also can them for you to buy their cans to go! You can also find their cans around town! They're known for their amazing, huge, fantastic pancakes in French toast along with their killer hashes! Truly I love the hash. It's one of my favorites. It's just a great hearty breakfast perfect with a mimosa. They usually offer a regular version and a different seasonal mimosa whenever you're going! My husband loves the Bloody Mary! Scrambled eggs cooked to perfection, cheesy sauce in the middle, chorizo gravy, and the added bacon, all wrapped in a tortilla that was then press-grilled made it perfect. Add a flavorful hatch chill sauce on top and you have everything you need. The meaty hash was a bit disappointing compared to the burrito. First of all I asked and paid for 2 eggs and they gave me 1. Came here with a group of friends for Sunday brunch. I ordered the spinach mushroom hash and it was rather delicious. I loved the option for different types of eggs on top. Portion size was perfect and price was also good. They have such a cute outdoor seating area which was perfect for my four friends and me.
