We came here on a weekday afternoon and there was already a 15-minute wait to be seated. We ordered the chicken and waffle salad, the grits, the pimento cheese and crackers and the avocado toast. Everything was pretty standard and there was not something that we absolutely loved. The grits were a heavier dish while the avocado on the toast was more like a spread. The chicken and waffle salad had waffle "croutons" but it kind of just tasted like an older waffle dried up. The chicken in the salad was a little thicker than it should have been. The pimento cheese and crackers were very tasty. The ambiance is fast casual and it is very hush there. Our server Hamilton was very kind and helpful.
We went to Millers All Day on a recommendation from our hotel concierge and Yelp. The place is very cute giving old school diner vibes! The food is good and service is a bit slow but nothing that stands out as an exceptional experience. My husband's biscuits and gravy did not come out of the kitchen until we were almost done eating what is pictured here.
Miller's All Day was fantastic from start to finish. We ordered the Blueberry Pancake Latte, the cinnamon roll, and the Hot Honey Chicken Bacon Egg & Cheese, and every single item was outstanding. The cinnamon roll was huge. We split it among four people and still had plenty to go around. The Blueberry Pancake Latte was creative without being overly sweet, and the Hot Honey Chicken Bacon Egg & Cheese was easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in Charleston. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made an already great experience even better. The only thing to keep in mind is the wait. This place is popular for a reason, so expect at least a 45 minute wait during busy times. It's worth it, but plan accordingly.
I loved this place! The atmosphere is very friendly and modern. The service was excellent! The selection of menu items leaves nothing to be desired! The food was great! I will be back!!
I was part of a party of 3 that came here for breakfast on a Sunday a little after 9:30am. They do not have an online waitlist, so we had to go in-person and hope for the best with the wait. We were quoted about 25 minutes for the wait. The hostess took my phone number down and said she would text me to let me know when our table was ready. Since this location is in downtown Charleston, it was easy to wander around outside and keep ourselves entertained until I got the text that our table was about to be ready and we had 10 minutes to check in. Once I checked in, we were seated immediately and told to scan the QR code at the table to see the menu. A few minutes later, our server came by and asked if we wanted coffee or other drinks. After she came back with drinks, she took our order. I got the cornmeal pancakes. They are made of cornmeal so they had a different taste than what I was used to with pancakes. It wasn't a bad taste. They tasted like a combo of sweet, but also savory. They also felt very light so I didn't feel overstuffed after eating them. Because of how busy they are, they got us in and out in less than 40 minutes. There are signs at the table to not stay longer than 90 minutes, but this was no problem here. Just something to keep in mind to not hang around if you're done with your meal and you see a giant wait outside. As we were leaving, other people were being quoted about a 45+ minute wait. Since it's in downtown Charleston, there is no dedicated parking lot. However, there is street parking available nearby. As someone that cannot parallel park, I went the safe route and parked in a parking garage that was close by. I paid $4 for that. Overall, great breakfast place and quick service!
We visited Charleston for the weekend and our last meal was at Millers All Day. They unfortunately do not take reservations so we got there early in hopes that the wait wouldn't be too long. We were quoted an hour when we put our name in, then got a text update saying it would be up to 1.5hrs and we ended up waiting almost 2. We were all very excited about the lucky charms latte so almost our entire table ordered it, some hot, some cold. It was very visually pleasing but unfortunately taste wise, it wasn't anything special and did not taste like lucky charms aside from the actual marshmallows on top. We ordered a cinnamon bun to share as well as entrees. The cinnamon bun was tasty, it was more of a biscuit like texture, different, but good! We were all thoroughly pleased with our entrees, they ranged from frittata and the okra dish to the king street bowl. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and it was worth the longer than anticipated wait.
This is a cute and very busy breakfast and lunch restaurant. We were seated in less than 10 minutes and our waiter wasted no time serving us. There's a very busy take out/coffee counter in the front of the diner. I love that they had alternative grits for this dairy free lady! And they were delicious!
I have no idea how I haven't reviewed Millers because I've been a few times. Last time I had a great brunch with a friend for their birthday. We started with some delicious lattes, in real mugs, which seems to be a lost art at many breakfast spots these days. We also began the meal with the banana bread smothered in hazelnut cream cheese. It was obviously different than your standard banana bread, but it was decadent and could easily be a dessert to wrap up your meal. My friend ordered the Millers Plate, is a traditional breakfast with all the fixin's and everything was done perfectly. I branched out and got the Hot Honey Chicken B.E.C. and this sandwich was no joke. Think of your traditional bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a pillowy soft brioche bun and then throw a crispy chicken breast in there covered in hot honey. It was like breakfast and lunch all in one... a true brunch sandwich! This place gets busy because it's right in the middle of everything, but I'll definitely be back again soon on a random weekday for that massive sando.
Excellent meal! Came to Charleston for an incredible foodie experience, and this BRUNCH did not disappoint! Patatas bravas and the cinnamon roll were 100% worth!!!! Service from Lucy was excellent! Very cute old pharmacy decor.
Stop by for the pastries. I got the monster cookie, which is gluten-free. I'd give it a 4 out of 5. I had the chocolate chunk cookie, which I would give a 3.5 out of 5. The chocolate chunk cookie, even though it's soft, is not packed with flavor. It is just missing something flavor-wise, while the monster cookie is full of flavor. It is really soft, and it goes against the myth that gluten-free cookies are like bricks. The staff was super nice, easy to get in, grab our pastries, and be on our way.
Boujee breakfast! If you're like me and prefer a diner/greasy-spoon type of breakfast, this ain't it! But there is a time & place for everything... My husband and I came in on a Sunday morning and were able to snag counter seats as there was an hour wait for a table. I ordered an espresso martini and the king street bowl as it seemed very "southern" to me with things like grits, pimento cheese and sausage gravy included (I am a transplant from the North). The bowl was just ok; sausage gravy was my favorite part but the rest was kind of bland and mushy. The four (4) home fries that came with it had a very odd flavor that I never tasted before and was not a fan of. Even though I wasn't crazy about my meal, I'm giving 4 stars as you can tell quality ingredients are used and a lot of thought & care is put into menu. Check it out and decide for yourself ;)
We enjoyed this place. A very short 5 min wait after we arrived. While we waited I had a fantastic vanilla latte and the hubs enjoyed his cappuccino. Ordered the cornmeal pancakes and a side of bacon, and that was a fantastic choice. Breakfast set us back about 35$ before tip. Would recommend.
Visiting the area and stopped by for lunch. As a vegetarian, there were some good options. I got the okra/tomato/grits dish. It was very good. We got seating at the bar by the window and our waitress was great. She also gave us recommendations of what to do in Charleston when we asked for specifics.

Very cute spot, bright, clean and lots of space to not feel crowded. Server was great, was on top of it but didn't rush us. He also had a meal removed from the bill - it was brought out Luke warm unfortunately. Overall food was good everyone was happy with their choices. Burger didn't come with fries but was big enough to fill up an 18 year old boy. Salad had a great sauce, was a little thrown off with the cold waffle but it's supposed to come like that server said. The avocado toast was so good but eggs were cold unfortunately. It didn't ruin the taste so still recommend. Visited on vacation but I would go back and try other plates. read more
First off, the aesthetic is on point. Great design. Love the display of record covers on the wall, though we agreed that it was a totally missed opportunity that there was no music playing, even though they had what appeared to be a great sound system as well. Second, this is one of the few places that's still having you scan a QR-code at the table for the menu. ...So, we're sitting down at this cool restaurant, with southern hospitality vibes, and we're being directed to pull out our phones to pull up the menu and then spend a good minute with our faces in our phones trying to decide what we want. Vibe killer, for sure. I would rather have a nicely-designed card stock menu with an eggy fingerprint or a coffee stain than sitting at the table with my phone out waiting for the menu to download and then trying to navigate it while discussing it with the server, who in our case, was a bit impatient. And also loud and impersonal while I'm at it. So, we ended up ordering: BISCUITS AND GRAVY-- this was the best thing we ordered. Rosemary presence was just right (love Rosemary but not too much). The pickled ocra on the side was perfectly pickled and crisp, which was a wonderful contrast to the scrambled eggs and gravy-soaked biscuits. I wish I could've walked out with a jar of them. Only complaint was I wish that there were some small chunks of sausage in the gravy. CINNAMON ROLL- this was impressive, a biscuit cinnamon roll pulled high with a whipped, airy cream cheese frosting. Wasn't the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. If there was a classic ooey gooey cinnamon roll near by, I'd pick that. Still appreciated it as something different that was executed well and highlighted their biscuits. MILLERS PLATE (I think that was the name of it)-- it was a basic breakfast platter with eggs, choice of breakfast meat (my son chose bacon), home fries, and a biscuit. My son said it was basic, but that his potatoes were over-fried and greasy. PATATAS BARAVAS-- my husband got this and said that the sausage was sparse and it was overloaded by large chunks of potato. If you're going to pay nearly $20 for a plate, it shouldn't be primarily filled with filler like potato. He said flavor was nice, though. Also, he missed on the menu that the meat was a "brisket sausage" and not "brisket AND sausage," so worth noting if, like him, you would be looking forward to the latter. This is pay at the table. They also pre-set tip options to 20, 22, and 25%. And our server stood there waiting for us to complete our transaction. Hate that. If you must use a pay at the table device, be classy and review the ticket with the patron, give a kind farewell, and then give them step away to give them space to decide on the total and tip without pressure. Also, we nearly never tip less than 20% and more often tip more, but it puts a bad taste in my mouth whenever suggested tips start at 20 or more percent and go higher. Bit presumptuous. On the way out we had to stop and grab some pics from the Photo Booth. This was a fun touch. Glad to have tried this spot while making a pit stop in Charleston. Has special breakfast/brunch vibes, for sure. Just a few things that could be improved. read more

Five stars for great service, delicious food, and friendly vibes that keep folks coming back for more. This is a popular spot for so many reasons - it's got a great location (right on King Street), it can accomodate large parties, and its menu has something for nearly every palette. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon around 1 PM, and were told it would be 30 minutes max for a table. The hostess was friendly as can be, and said it would probably be much sooner than that ... and indeed, we were seated in about 15 minutes! It was hard to choose what to order - everything on the menu sounded incredible. We started with their donut flight ... because how could we not? This trio of donuts was delectable, each more tasty than the last! My favorite was the pumpkin spice, followed closely by the Nutella. For being full of flavor, they were all surprisingly light and fluffy in texture. I finally decided on the King Street Bowl for my main course, and it did not disappoint. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and smothered in a hearty gravy that helped them stay warm well past when scrambled eggs typically cool down. The grits were phenomenal, and I'm not usually a fan of grits! My mother-in-law ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and it was so good that she wanted everyone to have a bite. Sometimes a simple preparation is key, and this was an extraordinary preparation of a classic combo. Prices are pretty reasonable as well, especially given the area! We will definitely be back the next time we're in town. read more
After seeing Millers All Day on every "Where to Eat in Charleston" list online, I feared an overpriced and overhyped brunch spot in a tourist town. I am happy to report that this spot rises to the occasion! We visited around noon on a weekday, and our party of 2 was seated immediately. The decor is reminiscent of an old time diner, with all the sleek touches of a modern brunch spot. We ordered the banana bread, the chicken sandwich, and the shrimp and grits. The banana bread was a large portion, and covered in a rich chocolate creme. The shrimp & grits is what Southern dreams are made of! With the fun ambiance, great menu, and great service - it's no wonder Millers All Day had built up such a great reputation. read more
Happened to be in Charleston, SC. Discovered Millers All Day by happen chance. Enjoyed the fried bologna sandwich. It's a filling sandwich with a nice thick bologna piece and a good amount of eggs! The biscuit alone was buttery, light and golden. Also enjoyed the chicken fried steak. It was crunchy on the outside and tender inside. The sausage gravy was spot on and extra gravy was requested! At Millers All Day proportions are more than generous! The staff are friendly and accommodating. A definite gem to Charleston! read more
Bottom line up front - we only had iced coffee, so consider that when reading. The coffee was SUPER bitter, even though it was cold brewed. Think Starbucks + add some bitter. We mitigated with cream and sweetener, but our coffee experience was still lackluster. On the positive side, the service was efficient and pleasant and they had To Go cups so we could enjoy a downtown Charleston stroll with our mediocre coffee. The interior is nicely appointed - booths and tables for sitting + and-school drugstore counter + a neat bar area (see photo). The place was packed and customers seemed happy enough. We will probably try again and check out the food, minus the coffee. read more
A place that serves Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup during breakfast hours is a place that deserves to be celebrated. Hands down, one of the most fun breakfast joints I've been to in ages, and a must-stop in CHS! Staff was so kind and friendly, and we were so excited to be able to snag a table during the Thursday-morning rush! My only regret is not trying their giant cinnamon roll! read more

Truly amazing breakfast experience. Food is awesome. Drinks are delicious. Staff is super friendly and service was very quick. Good for any size group. They have high chairs. Typical Charleston street parking. Place is busy but fast. We will definitely put this place on our regular visit list when we are in Charleston. read more
This place looks like it was designed for Instagram first, breakfast second. It's got the aesthetic down--pastel colors, hip signage, every detail screaming "brunch influencer moment"--but the actual food couldn't keep up with the photo ops. Everything came out in social-media portions--small, overly stylized, and mostly inedible. The flavors felt like an afterthought . Every table around us seemed to be sending pastries back, and I get why--mine was dry enough to crumble into dust. When half your dining room is politely complaining, that's a red flag. read more

Let's break this down: Food: OK. It's okay. I can't really say that it is incredible. It is good. Edible. Service: Great. People are friendly, they are quick and efficient Ambiance: Really pretty environment. So I liked the ambiance. Price: And herein lies the issue. This chicken sandwich was $21. Hot damn! I actually was pretty blown away at the prices. Here's the kicker, they charge you 3% to offset credit card fees. I've actually never seen this outside of small mom/pop joints. The price is extremely greedy and what we have here is "decent" food at an extremely high markup. 3.5 at best. read more

Millers All Day is a staple and very popular breakfast/brunch place in Charleston. It gets very busy ok the weekends, like 2+ hour wait times, so try to get there earlier in the morning! But the food is good and so is the atmosphere and vibes! read more

Millers All Day is serving up some great breakfast with a retro dinner vibe. Our party of 7 enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch. From the hostess to the waitstaff the service was excellent. This is definitely a popular spot in Charleston, so expect a bit of wait. Highly recommend this charming spot! read more
A friend that lives in SC recommended this place. I mean, even leaving the CHS airport, you can see advertisement of this place everywhere. It lives up to its great reviews! First off, service is super fast and the waiter I had was a delight. The vibes in the place was giving younger crowd and not super noisy. With the help of my waiter, I made the best decision to get the biscuits and gravy and the prickly pear mimosa. Prickly pear mimosa 10/10: Amazing flavor. Choose this one if you're looking for something refreshing with a little sweetness. Biscuits & gravy 11/10!!! : Not only did the food come over fairly quick (within 5 minutes it felt like), but the biscuit was crunchy on the bottom. The gravy and yolk from my sunny side eggs moistened it hem back up. Overall taste and texture was amazing. I definitely recommend this breakfast place but more specifically this dish!! read more

Stopped by Miller's All Day and ordered the banana bread. The texture was perfect. Moist without being dense, with a tender crumb that practically melts in your mouth. You can tell it's made fresh! It has that warm, rich banana flavor that tastes natural and not overly sweet. The outside had just a slight caramelized edge that gave it a little depth, and every bite felt balanced and intentional. read more

Love this spot for breakfast or brunch! It is super cute inside with plenty of tables, a coffee bar and a back bar where you can sit. You can't go wrong with the fried chicken sandwich on a biscuit with pimento cheese and the King Street Bowl was insane - scrambled eggs, grits, sausage, gravy, pimento cheese and side of home fries. Also highly recommend the frittata with eggs, grits, roasted vegetables and whipped feta topped with mixed greens. The cinnamon roll is to die for! Packed is an understatement. Tables were more than 1 hour wait. Thankfully we got 2 seats at the back counter and it was perfect. Service was good, not pushy or overbearing. They do request a 90 min max time for your visit. We ordered cornmeal pancakes and miller plate, both with grits. Outstanding. The pancakes were crisp but fluffy and texture was great kind of like a cornbread meets pancake. Miller plate was also good, standard playe of eggs bacon and buscuits. Star of the show were the grits. They close early only serving breakfast and lunch but well worth the wait read more

No. It's a waitlist situation. However, there is first come first serve at the coffee bar
Are there gluten free options?
Yes, and they have gluten free bread. Sadly though the cornmeal pancakes and waffles are not gluten free :(
