a fun and busy environment on a saturday! this place is HUGE. A little pricey for sandwiches but delicious food and a good espresso martini!
Great spot with such a welcoming atmosphere! Every time I've visited, the staff has been incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely makes you feel appreciated as a customer. Their service is quick and they consistently get my order right. My favorite drink is the matcha latte right now, it's smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. It's become my go-to whenever I'm in the area.
We ordered sandwiches to go but I wish we could've stayed to enjoy to ambiance! Lots of great food options. The one I got with the chicken cutlet probably would've been better eaten right away when it was still crispy but the flavor was still great! And the chicken salad sandwich was a winner with us.
Minus two stars for the unpleasant barista today! Maybe she was having a bad day or something, but she was definitely not personable. While making my latte, I asked if she could make it iced (I didn't specify at the register) and she answered as if I should already know that it comes iced. On the other hand, my latte was so good. Small size was about $8 after tax. I finished it in less than 10 minutes.
Was looking for a cute place with an outside seating to sit with my dog. Drove by and had to circle back. It's bright and vibrant colors drew me in. I saw a large patio porch seating so I wanted to see what was up. It had a cool drive-thru and even a walk into order window. It gave a very beachy vibe and there was plenty of space for dogs to sit on the patio with water bowls. We ordered at the counter and were met graciously by all staff. We were explaining the menu and we finally made this decision from all the wonderful choices. We went with the chick flick which was noted to be the owner's Grandma's special recipe. I opted a different type of bread so we got the sourdough instead of the New York kaiser roll . The Kaiser will probably would have been great but we didn't do it because of allergies. So they are easy to work with for allergies and dietary restrictions . Decker of course got his pup Cup from staff which was very nice of them. He met a bunch of other customers who are really friendly as well and there was even a permanent jewelry maker outside doing her thing. They had a lot of interesting drink choices to choose from and breakfast items too! The sandwich was huge and enough for two meals. We also got a nice big glass of ice water. Will definitely make a note of this place for breakfast sandwiches to try. Highly recommend!
Had a great lunch at Bodega. Seat yourself at the time I went, patio, and friendly service. I had a mixed greens salad with a chicken cutlet and ranch dressing. Chicken cutlet was crispy and tender. Great flavor. Ranch was good too. I had a strawberry match for dessert and that was also worth it. Emily is an excellent server!
Bodega should be the next place you visit for brunch! I visited while waiting on my appointment at the Apple Store. I got a glass of their fresh squeezed OJ which I can't get enough of. I decided on the balance bowl for my meal and I couldn't have made a better choice. The bowl was cooked to perfection and packed full of flavor. Service was also top notch! Beware that seating is a tad limited , but they have another location in mount pleasant.
Amazing salad. Sweet tea is on point! Right near the visitors center. Get fueled up before you explore the city.
We really wanted to like this place but it was disappointing. The drinks were not as good as the descriptions. While the sandwiches looked tasty, they were dry and bland. It was also hard to enjoy them with all the flies! Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
Amazingggggggggggg Bacon Egg & Cheese!! ( The Bodega Classic) I added the Taylor Ham for a little flair!! Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, took a bite & it transported me right back to Queens, New York! 10/10! I love the murals on the walls! They've got cute NY inspired merch too! The girl who helped me was super nice! I'll def be back when I visit Charleston!
I want to be very clear, I came to Charleston to eat. Bodega delivered on that challenge. I started off with a cinnamon brown sugar latte. It was delicious. Not too sweet and the whipped cream on top was perfection. Next came my breakfast sandwich. I went with the classic. I added avocado and ham. It was full of protein and flavor. I really enjoyed the softness of the bread with cheesy goodness that meshed very well with avocado. Our server was extra attentive and delivered all of our food piping hot. The spotlight was the pancakes though. We went with the apple flavored toppings and it was like a nice warm fall day on a plate. I left stuffed and ready for a walk, just the way I like it.
The breakfast sandwiches and the smoked salmon sandwich were great. We also tried the groupfather sandwich, which comes with chicken breast and pesto. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and tasted like it might have been leftover--it didn't seem fresh. I should have checked the food before leaving, as I believe the staff would have gladly fixed the issue. They were very nice and attentive overall.

After a bad experience with a coffee shop we wanted to try - we make way towards Bodega. We visited on July 20th around 11-12pm and our server was super sweet and friendly. The menu is amazing. I would go back every-time that i'm in Charleston. The food did not disappoint! Super delicious. read more
I came here twice on my vacation. They have a nice outdoor area. We ate lunch one time and came for a coffee once. I had a delicious spinach salad that was loaded with goat cheese and toppings. The dressing was good. My family enjoyed their sandwiches. The service was decent. I thought the iced tea was expensive but it was good. My Oreo coffee was good but the small is small and $7. read more
I love bodega. I am by no means a breakfast person, but bodega is a great spot because they have a variety of options for non breakfast lovers! I have gotten the Calabrese and the Gropfather. Both very yummy and huge! I have had a bite of the pancakes which to my surprise were amazing. Not a huge fan of their coffee, but would come back for drinks! Service can be slow on weekends, but sitting outside on their patio during a nice day makes waiting easier! read more

it was just chill vibes all around. the food took about 30 minutes to come out and when it did, our server didn't ask if everything looked good or anything like that. not sure yet if it's that kind of place. the food was good though. the cow was very flavorful and the avocado toast was refreshing. my boyfriend had the pancakes and he ate it all up. music was very loud. just like a fancier waffle house. read more
We had a wonderful family Sunday brunch this weekend at Bodega. The food was super fresh and delicious. I got the Balance Bowl which featured the perfect amount of pesto to tie together the egg whites, vegan sausage crumble, home fries, cherry tomatoes and spinach. We shared these french toast sticks that came with a pudding/ custard-situation for dipping, which were so good I forgot to get a picture of them! Our server was super sweet and we got to hang out for sometime without feeling rushed. I really loved the art too, it was bright and upbeat :) A super cute spot to stop in for some food. read more

I met three others here for a friend's lunch. The gal I drove with and I discussed "lunch" once we were headed back. She brought it up, and once I realized she had a bad experience, we shared our observations and agreed never again. I snapped a photo of my meal only, the Traditional Benedict. Save your money. These were inedible, raw eggs. The whites were still translucent. The potatoes were cold, not even warm, just cold. Just an all-around disappointment for $16+. The $8 watermelon lemonade was good. I should have stopped there. So, I had a $30 lunch (I'm now including the gratuity I left), and I had to eat once I arrived back home. I did leave a gratuity because it wasn't the waiter's fault. However, I left a lower gratuity than I usually would due to the fact that he cleared away four largely still full plates and bowls from the table and never once bothered to ask if everything was okay. Trust me, the portion sizes are not big here, so when you send 50% back to the kitchen and there wasn't much to begin with, it should be obvious to anybody there's a problem. Inside is clean. Lots of televisions playing old cartoons, so could be cute. read more
I was really excited to try Bodega, the vibes are cute, the menu looked tasty, and the location was great. Our server was doing her best, but apparently you can't build your own sandwich, so she tried to tailor a sandwich on the menu to be vegan. Had I known it was such an issue I would have just ordered something off the menu. Needless to say, my sandwich came out with egg on it. I would definitely go back, but don't expect to be able to customize your order. read more

This place was the perfect place to have delicious food in a fun environment. I loved the Bodega so much, I can not stop sharing my experience with my friends. The food is reasonably priced and the coffee was delicious. Perfect as a sit down restaurant and a drop in cafe. read more

A cute little restaurant with ample patio seating (with umbrellas), bar seating, and plenty of seating inside. It is past the Share House - although confusing because the Bodega menu is posted outside of the Share House. I got the Bodega Classic with Bacon and added Spinach. My fiancé got the avocado toast with a fried egg. I was not impressed with the Bodega Classic. The egg ratio was lacking to the amount of spinach and bread. The bacon was curly and kept falling out of the sandwich and it was kind of stale. I LOVE breakfast sandwiches and this was a letdown. My fiancé really enjoyed his avocado toast. The chili oil was a nice touch! I would recommend the avocado toast over the Bodega Classic! The home fries were extremely salty. read more
We needed a quick bite to eat while walking around downtown for brunch. Ordered coffees which were so good! Loved the variety of fun drinks on the menu, need to come back to try the martinis. Stopped by for a quick lunch and thought the experience was ok. The cereal milk cold brew was tasty and not overly sweet if you leave out the whipped cream. I had the gropfather sandwich and the chicken was very dry and greasy. The pesto and hot sauce was a bit of a strange combo as well. Wouldn't recommend it. The turkey club was fine. The sandwiches are big so it could have easily been shared between two people. I did enjoy the patio with outdoor seating and seems like it would have a fun brunch vibe on the weekend. Service was okay - we didn't really didn't get checked in on after we ordered and the food was delivered. read more

Friendly service, beautiful outdoor seating area on a perfect morning. I had the low country and it was delicious, my wife the bodega plate and she enjoyed it as well. Tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cold brew and it tasted just like you'd think it would! Nice spot for a quick breakfast, sandwich or coffee... read more
We enjoyed coffee and sandwiches here while visiting Charleston and it did not disappoint at all. Each day we went we were welcomed with smiles and everyone was so nice. The coffee was the best we've ever had anywhere hands down. The cold brew w/ sugar free vanilla and almond milk was almost like a dessert. Sort of thick and milk shake texture. Very good The gropfather was a chicken cutlet sandwich and it was pounded out very thing and fried crispy. The sandwich had a bit of spiciness to it which I wasn't expecting and the pesto balanced it out nicely. Very filling The egg cheese on a kaiser was just as good with american cheese. 10/10 read more
We love bodega & sharehouse and make a point to stop in everytime we are in CHS! The best breakfast sandwiches I have found outside of NJ - and they even offer porkroll! (Even if they call it Taylor ham ). The Gropfather is by far the best sandwich we've tried from Bodega. Their iced lattes, orange crushes & espresso martinis are great too! read more
Tucked away from the main shopping street, this place reminds me of an excentric funky shop in Austin. There was hardly anyone seated but the service was attentive. Ordered a latte and a sandwich (godfather). It was basically a chicken parmesan in a ciabatta. The chicken was dry and some more pesto or sauce would have been better. The ciabatta iis a harder type if bread so it made it even harder to swallow. I don't think it would be something that I would seek out but it's a hippie spot for a pick me up from walking read more

We love Bodega for a breakfast Sammy and coffee! We love the options of seating indoor/outdoor and a to go option! Convenient garage parking around the block! The menu has so many choices, everything we've had multiple trips here has been amazing. There are GF options for the bread and pancakes which is huge for me! I love being able to get a sandwich again! There is always changing coffee specials which are fun to see what's new each time! I do love their staple Dirty Chai Latte as well! read more

Cute atmosphere both inside and out, you can either grab a drink/bite to go or sit down and be served. Our server was nice, and the food tasty. Mimosas were pretty much champagne with a splash of juice and that's exactly how I like them! They even had vegan sausage which was great in the bodega classic sandwich. You'll probably have to pay to park, but if you're in the area it's an easy and yummy stop! read more
