    Spicy margarita and lemonade

I was apprehensive to try this place bc so many reviews said they were not vegetarian friendly. I did not find that at all in my experience. Went on a Sunday afternoon. The place is smaller so I suggest reservations. We had them but didn't need them. Greeted warmly by the only server (that did not affect the service, he was very attentive). Spicy margarita was excellent. I had the veggie dumplings and OG ramen with tofu and mushrooms. Nice flavor. My husband loved his chicken and spicy lamb dumplings. My son got the kids garlic noodles that were so basic but delicious. Like a Vietnamese cacio e Pepe. Kid friendly: 2 kid options and highchairs

    Some peculiar merch for sale.

Serving food and alcoholic drinks, this place should be open later on a Saturday night! But this trendy spot has an Interesting take on Vietnamese menu items including a Pho flavored cocktail however I was not too bold. I ordered fried crispy spring rolls with lettuce wraps and dipping sauce. They were a fresh and tasty item. They had 3 different flavors but they all tasted non distinct to me. I also drank a classic Vietnamese drop iced coffee and it hit the spot. It's a unique and interesting spot in Charleston and at least worth a visit.

STILL our favorite take out spot. The chicken garlic noods are to die for. Always consistently delicious! Do yourself a favor and get your tastebuds ready for flavor! The KFC wings and General Gerry's chicken are also very good, probably crispier in person but overall the travel from downtown to Mount Pleasant has been great!!

My wife and I recently went here for a weekend dinner and had a solid experience. We came without a reservation and were seated immediately. Pink Bellies' ambiance was casual and unassuming. Pink Bellies is extremely Americanized Vietnamese food-there were plenty of butter and dairy in the dishes, atypical of Vietnamese cuisine. It was also hard to order anything on the menu that was healthy, as most everything was fried in some way or had red meat/butter. Despite the restaurant being empty, our dishes took longer than would be expected to come out. My wife and I shared the fried brussels sprouts, which were outstanding. They were perfectly cooked, and had amazing flavor and spice (also not salty). I got the hot and spicy chicken noodles for my main, which were OK but too rich for my liking.

Had such a great time at Pink Bellies! First off, our server was fantastic, super friendly and gave spot-on recommendations. The restaurant itself has a really cool vibe lots going on, but it all works together perfectly. Here's what we tried: - Avocado Fries: 5/5 Absolutely delicious. Perfect crunch, and the dipping sauce was amazing. - Spicy Lamb Dumplings: 5/5 My favorite dish of the night! Packed with flavor, cooked perfectly and I could've honestly drank the sauce. Pho Mai Burger: 3/5 Not my favorite. The bun was dry and crumbly, and it could've used a bit more flavor overall. OG Garlic Noodles: 4/5 Were good, but tasted better as leftovers the next day. The noodles were warm, onions were cold, and the pork was room temp when served, which threw me off. Also the pork lacked flavor. But again great next day.

My first impression of Pink Bellies is how nicely decorated and designed it is. I love that it's right on King Street for convenience. My friends and I ordered the avocado fries and KFC garlic wings (phone did not eat first). The wings were perfectly glazed in garlic sauce and crunchy! I then ordered the OG garlic noodles that are a must order. The noodles are soft and flavored to perfection. The bowl is dressed in siracha which adds a great kick. The pulled pork on top is soft and melts in your mouth! Highly recommend

I'm still thinking about how flavorful this meal was! I absolutely loved the view we had from our table and the overall vibe was very cool and aesthetic. The only reason I'm giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is because our server was new and forgot a few things and the menus we received had food on them so that was off-putting to start off. The server was kind and did inform us it was only his second day but overall the food made up for it because it was so delicious, the noodles, the flavor, the combination of ingredients were all perfectly curated. Will be back for sure.

If you're in Charleston and craving something bold, flavorful, and totally unique then come to Pink Bellies. Everything we tried was packed with that addictive sweet-salty-spicy balance, and you can really taste the authentic Vietnamese influence in every dish. We started with the Spicy Lamb Pierogi Dumplings, which were unlike anything I've had before. The Sủi Cảo Dumplings were perfectly plump with pork and shrimp, swimming in a delicious smoked chili oil sauce. The noodle dishes stole the show, especially the OG Garlic Noodles with pulled pork, parm, and a perfect hit of sriracha. The Hot & Spicy Chicken Noodles had just the right amount of kick and richness. We had to try the Phô Mai Burger, juicy, cheesy, and full of texture with crispy shallots and onion jam. The cocktails were super creative and surprisingly delicious, and the atmosphere was modern and vibey. Definitely not your typical Vietnamese menu, but so worth checking out.

Came here for a quick meal. I had the OG garlic noodles. I liked the texture of the noodles and the toppings mixed well with the pork to make a rather tasty dish, but not sure I'd go out of my way to get this again! Still I was pretty happy I tried this!

One of the best Asian restaurants in Charleston. We loved everything including the service. The avocado bites are light and delicious. The wings were outstanding and we saved the sauce to enhance the noodle dishes. We tried XO the night before and feel that Pink Bellies was a better experience.

If you love Parmesan, garlic and pickled onions then the OG garlic noodles is your dish. General Gerry's chicken was also delish. The chicken was crispy and sauce was the perfect sweet, salty and mildly spicy combo. We picked up the food and had a picnic at Marion Square, which is just a short walk away. It is SO much food. My husband and I could not finish it all.

Amazing food and drinks. Pho was expensive but it only happens every Wednesday night so once a week is definitely worth it to me! The service was awesome. I would want to come here again and again but I should try and pace myself..... or not

I saw they had soft shell crab burger and HAD to go. The Og garlic noodles were soo soo good too - super creamy and the pickled onions balance out the taste. We just absolutely loved the food and would come again every softie season!

I was in town for work, joining a handful of colleagues who had traveled in from our various remote outposts, and Halls was exactly the right place to turn a productive day into a proper night out. The room had real energy, the service was outstanding, and my filet was excellent, with a spread of classic steakhouse sides that disappeared quickly enough that the exact details have been lost to history. Somehow, our schedule ran long enough that I arrived dressed appropriately from the ankles up, then looked down and remembered I was wearing loud Nike sneakers. I spent the first few minutes feeling mildly self conscious before realizing that nobody cared: the crowd covered a real range, and the restaurant had the confidence to feel elevated without making anyone perform for admission. That ease is what I remember almost as much as the steak. Halls captures something unusually Charleston about a great night out: a serious meal, a room humming with people, and enough Southern graciousness around the edges that even the guy in loud Nikes leaves feeling entirely at home.

The restaurant is in the back of a strip mall/center and was a pizza place previously. It's small, but the restaurant uses the space effectively, and it reminded me of the small Izakaya restaurants in Japan. There's enough room for seating if you want to eat in, as well as outdoor seating, and they offer takeout. My husband started with the shrimp spring rolls and the chicken satay. I planned to eat some spring rolls, but it turns out they include BOTH pork and shrimp. The menu says the meat options are chicken, pork and shrimp OR veggie. He tasted the pork in the spring rolls before I had one, so I opted out (pescatarian) and said they were good but that the chicken satay and peanut sauce were both bland. I had the Shrimp Papaya Salad, and my husband had the Pho. I got my Shrimp Papaya Salad medium, and I would advise you to be cautious with the spice level because even at medium, it was pretty hot. My husband's Pho was good but the portion was small. We both expected larger portions for the money, as my salad only had three shrimp in it. This spot is pretty new, the workers were nice, and the entrees themselves were good, so I won't write it off. Just remember the portions are small, so order accordingly.
