This was my very first time and I loved it. The food was flavorful and fresh. It's very quaint and intimate. It's small and not much seating but they do have take out. It's nestled in tanger outlet. I had the ginger chicken. The staff was very attentive and hospitable. I will definitely be returning
I pass by here all the time, but never been here. I finally decided to try it out. I was greeted kindly at the door and seated right away. The interior has a great vibe and a nice touch of Thai culture all around for decor. I ordered the Thai tea, Tom yum soup and the pad see ewe. The Thai tea was good... Perfect amount of sweetness. The tom yum was delicious. It was actually the perfect size and allowed me to warm up in the cold while also having room to try their pad see ewe. I got the pad see ewe with beef. It was delicious, but a little too sweet. Just one level down of sweetness would have been perfect. For both dishes, I asked for Medium spice and only got a hint of it, so I think I could handle more spice here. Medium at another Thai restaurant requires me to drink lots of Thai tea lol. Their restroom is kept very clean and also has a pleasant decor. The waitress was very polite and attentive. I'll be back. I'm glad I went in and tried them out today.
Small cozy restaurant. Plenty of parking for how many can be served. Food came out hot and tastes great. Average price $16-25 a person. They didn't not miss the mark, asked for shrimp in my fried rice and there were around 9 large shrimp. Usually restaurants are greedy with the protein, but not this place. Able to get in and out within 20 minutes. I will definitely be visiting again. Great attention to customer too.
We got delivery and it was made and delivery nice and quickly. My husband and I both really enjoyed the curry and the basil noodles with tofu. It's exactly what we had in mind and we will absolutely order from here anytime we want Thai food!
This review is based on UberEats experience. I love that they give me utensils! Chopsticks, fork, spoon, and napkins. I am saying this because other places haven't. Also, I like that they packed the items really nicely. Chicken wings are delicious. Very meaty and moist with basic seasoning. The sweet and sour dipping sauce is a great compliment. For main entree, I got pad thai with level 3 spice level out of 5. It's not really spicy, I could handle more. But great flavor and the noodles are not clump together. I am marking this place as my favorite in my UberEats. Great portion. Great prices. And Great flavors.
Once again I had a favorite experience at this place as I'm out of town. I almost always say how the vibe and feel is my most important desire more so than food. This one was seriously perfect as soon as I walked in. The server was my host too and she was seriously a perfect one in both ways. The small layout in here is perfect and the food is seriously perfect for real. This is a super great spot to come to definitely.
Thai Palm has been a favorite in the Charleston area for Thai cuisine for many years. We usually order it to go and take it home, but our most recent visit was enjoyed in the restaurant. We were surprised to find that the restaurant got a facelift and was transformed into a much warmer welcoming atmosphere. As always the food and service were excellent. My favorite dish is the cashew chicken coupled with the Tom Kha coconut soup. If there's no room for dessert I can not resist taking home my favorite mango sticky rice. It's the best I've ever had.
Thai Palm in North Charleston absolutely deserves five stars. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. The food was amazing--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I started with the pork dumplings (gyoza), which were perfectly cooked tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. For my main, I had the Pho Thai Palm noodle soup, and it was outstanding. The broth was rich and aromatic, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and well-balanced. It's the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their service. If you're craving great Thai food in the area, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back.

I am half Thai and was in the area and saw this restaurant. The people inside are Thai and very sweet! The chef came out to make sure that I was enjoying my food. The food was excellent and the decor in the restaurant is very cute and authentic! Order your favorite Thai dish and you will be pleasantly surprised at how delicious it is! I travel a lot for work and I hope to come back here if I have another opportunity to! read more

We enjoyed our first TP meal. Solid, fresh, and flavorful. We ordered the rangoons, basil rolls, pad thai, and drunken noodles. Everything was delicious, hot, and medium spicy. Server was friendly and attentive. Yes, the space is a little narrow and tight, but they make it work. A bunch of firefighters came in as we were wrapping up and had to get (spatially) creative. Whenever you see firefighters at a restaurant, you know you've made the right choice. We look forward to our next pad thai! read more
Stopped in today to treat myself to some Thai. Place is lovely on the inside with a lot of personality shining through rather than "generic Asian restaurant". My server was friendly, food came out at a reasonable speed but I could tell it was cooked fresh. I ordered chicken satay and chicken pad thai. The satay was nicely grilled and the peanut sauce had a good cilantro flavor to it. The pad Thai I ordered medium on the hotness and was a bit hotter than I expected medium to be (I'm pretty fine with spices but I had to blow my nose a few times after the meal). If you don't like spice, stick to the mild. Portion sizes were good, I walked out full but not bloated, but I didn't have any leftovers either. Price was a bit higher than it should be for this meal, but that's becoming an epidemic all over the area lately, food prices are going up much faster than anything else and far out of proportion to a paycheck. $38 after tip for an appetizer, basic entree, and water felt high to me. But maybe I'm just old and remember when a nickel could buy a house and need to start readjusting my price expectations. J.Ja read more

Five star food! We love this little gem! The sweet little ladies that run the place are kind and helpful and the food is delicious! The service is five star too! The booths in the back are roomy and it's pretty quiet for a nice, intimate setting.. perfect for a date night. I had the chicken pad Thai and it was amazing! My husband had the cashew chicken and it was so good, he started eating before I could snap a picture! Unfortunately, because of the rising costs of operations, the prices have increased. For two meals, egg rolls and two drinks, it is was about $63 before the tip. If you can splurge on a date night, this is the place! read more

The food here was delicious and very well seasoned! I would recommend eating at Thai Palm as the staff was attentive and friendly! We ordered Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Red Curry, Thai Basil fried rice, and taro bubble tea. read more

So I'm kinda obsessed with Thai Palm. I've gone for dine in and then a couple weeks later did take out. I will say that dine in is a better experience (which is expected), but not because of the atmosphere and more because of the service. It's in a little strip mall across from the outlets, but it doesn't feel like that when you get inside. The service was top notch though. They were very attentive with service you would expect at a higher end restaurant. I will say the prices on food are a little higher across the board than you would expect, but the quality is there which makes up for it. We started with the shrimp in a blanket and a pot of the Tom Kha chicken soup. I felt like we would have had a bunch left over to take home, but it was so good we ate most of it. For $19.50 I feel like it should be a little larger and for presentation sake should come in the bowl with the flames in the middle which it did not. It was very flavorful though, even the small portion I was able to take home for later. I love pad see eu so I've had that both times and honestly I'll probably get it again. They add a lot of fresh vegetables and the noodles are perfectly firm. I really enjoyed the sauce and I chose my spice level but I wish it were a little spicier. I probably got the gringo treatment. Next time I'll up the spice level. The perfect way to finish your meal is with the mango sweet rice. It's seasonal so you have to ask, but the fresh mango and sweet rice is such a treat. Don't skip out on it or you will definitely have regrets. read more

Thai Palm is in a shopping center near Tanger Outlets in North Charleston. It offers both dine-in and to-go, and I've experienced both. Two years ago, a friend and I dined here in-person after shopping, and most recently, I placed a to go order for lunch via Uber Eats. Due to the COVID-19 surge, I'm ordering to-go or dining outdoors these days. I ordered the sweet and sour tofu dish, which came with veggies and jasmine rice, and I requested medium heat. I went with medium since I knew the sweetness of the pineapple would cut the heat. I arrived less than ten minutes after placing my order, and my food was ready. That was quick! If you're on a lunch break from work, every minute you spend waiting for lunch counts. Unfortunately, my dish wasn't packaged well, and the sweet and sour sauce escaped the Styrofoam box and into the plastic bag. This made the napkins and silverware soggy, but thankfully none got in my car. My entrée was not spicy at all. I wouldn't even consider the heat "mild"- it was more along the lines of "no spice". Granted, spiciness varies between every Thai restaurant, but I wasn't venturing to order "hot" on my second trip here. Thai Palm is a bit expensive, even for vegetarians. I would return to try the Pad Prik King, as I haven't seen that on any other Thai restaurant menu in this area. Otherwise, I'll continue my quest for excellent Thai food in Charleston. read more
I'd call this 4 star food and service with 3 star ambience. The portions are generous and well prepared. Loved the fried pork egg rolls- fresh, crispy, and not greasy. Noodle salad bowl with pork had a great variety of herbs, greens, veggies, soft noodles, and grilled pork. The pork was a bit oily but overall we enjoyed it. Pad Thai was flavorful but again a bit oily. I'd ask for more sprouts and cilantro next time to freshen it up. I'd recommend they play some music in the background and change the tv station to better the ambiance (there was a show demonstrating butchering techniques which was unappealing when we were there). If you're doing takeout- these are non issues. read more

Was getting a pedicure next door and read that they were great with gluten free. They were! Very knowledgeable! I gave 4 instead of 5 as I do believe Mai Thai is a bit better. The pad Thai was a bit dry and the spring rolls lacked a little flavor compared to others I have. I will absolutely go back due to their consciousness of gluten free, and it was good I have just had better at a little bit of a lower price. read more
First time here and I'm glad I tried it, the place is small so don't come with a big group. It's more of a lunch spot. I had the red curry beef no bamboo shoot but some how a few still found it's way in my food. Hubby had the basil chicken and it was tasty with a nice smoky taste from the wok. My only issue is the portion size for lunch dishes compared to the prices. For $12 for lunch the size was smaller than expected and the protein was lacking. They added a ton of veggies I'm guessing to try to distract from the lack of meat or chicken in the dishes. That's it. Enjoy! read more
