Small, hole in the wall spot with amazing food! Friendly service and bomb pho! We've tried everything here and it's all amazing. Worth the drive when your pho craving hits. I can barely get through the small bowl. So freaking delicious! My only complaint is that this restaurant isn't closer to my house!

Everything overalls excellent Owner is very friendly Highly recommended. I don't normally leave a feedback but this place I have to . I am a very picky eater but this place is a gem

This is the BEST pho restaurant I've ever stood foot in! The food is PHONEMENAL and service is fast and efficient. The servers are very friendly and attentive, I really love this place! EVERYTIME I'm craving pho I go here and it always hits. The thing is I always get the same thing every single time and it never misses, the broths amazing. I really RECOMMEND this place for anyone wanting to try pho for the first time or just craving it! It's also very authentic.

Walking into Pho 79 brought me a sense of comfort, reminiscent of cozy pho spots back home in Southern California. I was in town for a work trip, and this restaurant felt like a perfect escape. The smell of delicious broth hit me the moment I stepped inside, and I, as a well as my friend, was greeted with a warm welcome from the family owned business. It's small place but super inviting and comfortable, perfect for a nice meal. The service was friendly and attentive making me feel relaxed and taken care of. I went for the Pho meatball and rare steak. My friend got the combination bowl. For appetizers we got a shrimp roll. The pho was fantastic and the broth was rich and flavorful. The shrimp roll was fresh and the peanut sauce was just right for me -- not too sweet, which I liked. Also, they have chili oil!!! Overall, Pho 79 was a great spot to unwind during my work trip! Definitely recommend coming here if you are craving some authentic Vietnamese food.

This pho 79 restaurant is a hole on the wall resto. The inside was simple and clean. This restaurant are run by husband and wife duo and he greeted you upon entered in. Their pho is one the best in Charleston! The broth was so savory and the right flavor even before adding anything else. The portion was generous and the rare steak and the slices meat balls were good too. The chili oil that serve with the pho was so good and I used it generously in my pho. We also ordered the shrimp spring rolls and it was fried to perfection. I will definitely coming back! So so good!

Nice quaint but small Vietnamese restaurant in North Charleston. The restaurant may be small but the food packs a lot of flavor. Pho Broth is nice and beefy. Great traditional family operated business. Nice service as well.

This hidden gem was recommended to me by a friend. The place is fairly small, but don't judge until you try the pho and bunbohue. The place is tight, but gives you enough room to manage. I am assuming the owner, both of the couples? were really sweet and made sure we got all that we needed. You can definitely tell it was a family own restaurant. My friends and I ordered their shrimp spring rolls, pork springs rolls, combination pho, and bunbohue. Everything that we ate was sooo flavorful and the aroma of the broth when it gets to the table. Both the pho and bunbohue broth was extremely aromatic. I got the bunbohue and it was amazing. A lot of the bunbohue I've had before felt extremely heavy when eating but their bunbohue was light yet impactful. I love the little shrimp paste and chilly oil that they provided as well. If you can't stand the smell of shrimp paste, you don't have to add it into your broth but it makes it soo much more umami. Can't forget to mention that they packed the bowls with protein, tendon, brisket, meatballs, flank, and Asian meat loaf. Sadly didn't get too many pictures because I was too excited to eat.

Pho 79 is so good. It's very authentic and the staff is great. I have gotten a variety of things here and everything is so good. I've had the pho, the shrimp bun and even the shrimp rice dish. It's all amazing. I'm Vietnamese myself everything taste so good and fresh. 10 out 10!

    Vegetable Pho #6

Everything was so fresh! The beef broth with the addition of the vegetables was amazing. You could definitely taste the love that went into making it. It was legit a hug from the inside. The owners were super friendly and the spot although tiny was very clean. The service was fast despite being busy with carry out orders and those folks dining in. I would 100% recommend this place based on the pho. Looking forward to trying their other dishes but it's going to be hard to go back and not get the same thing!

Getting kind of nippy here in Charleston and decided I would like some Pho. Saw the review of Pho 79 and left early for work to get some soup. The place is small, but quaint. First I had some shrimp rolls which were hot, crunchy and very tasty. I then ordered the Pho Bien with rare steak and brisket. It was absolutely amazing. Vegetables were fresh and the soup was hearty. I will be bringing the wife here over weekend. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Did they chew before putting this in? :(

Food poisoning. They used murky soapy beef broth for chicken pho. Would not come back here

The flavor was so good we immediately wished we had ordered two. We were headed to go bowling afterward, so we kept it light...but trust me, we could have easily finished another. The place is spotless, modern, and has a really comfortable vibe. It is a bit pricey, and if it were just a little cheaper, I'd probably be in there every other day. Still, the quality made our first pho experience a great one.

Appetizers are good and come out quickly. For two people, I'd opt for more than a single appetizer if you are peckish. I had a tofu eggplant dish they said was spicy and it WAS. So believe them when you see the chili pepper on the menu. Service was fine; not lightning quick nor did I feel ignored. Parking is shared with other stores in a private lot so not a concern at all. The soups were quite tasty and the vegetables were all bright and appetizing. I'd go back again happily, but not as a group. If you have more than 4 people, consider an alternative location.

I started with the pork dumplings (gyoza), which were perfectly cooked tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. For my main, I had the Pho Thai Palm noodle soup, and it was outstanding. The broth was rich and aromatic, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and well-balanced. It's the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their service. If you're craving great Thai food in the area, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back.

Also, I like that they packed the items really nicely. Chicken wings are delicious. Very meaty and moist with basic seasoning. The sweet and sour dipping sauce is a great compliment. For main entree, I got pad thai with level 3 spice level out of 5. It's not really spicy, I could handle more. But great flavor and the noodles are not clump together. I am marking this place as my favorite in my UberEats. Great portion. Great prices. And Great flavors.

The whole place feels quaint and local, yet refined and classy. First off I love that it's a full service bar and eating at the bar is no problem. Second I absolutely love they sell pitchers of beer. Not many taps, but still pitchers. And it's mostly local beer. I was with my husband and we wanted to try several things and took recs from the bartender who was awesome. We ordered the pork dumplings, the scallion pancake and the spicy sichuan hot karaage rice bowl. And we made it a combo with miso soup and an egg roll for $4. The pork dumplings were SO good. I could eat a meal of those alone. They were dense and flavorful and the dipping sauce was slightly spicy. The scallion pancake was a surprise delight. It was crispy and not too greasy again with a delicious dipping sauce. The miso soup...chefs kiss. It looked like ordinary miso soup but there was something extra that we really loved!! And the egg roll was big and juicy and fried and wonderful. It's a veggie egg roll but don't let that fool you. So much flavor and again the sweet chili dipping sauce left us drooling. Most of those sauces are too sweet but this was the perfect blend and the perfect spice level. The rice bowl was full of flavor!! The spice on this is quite a lot so make sure you can handle heat if you order the "hot" version. But again lots of flavor not just hot. Thank god we didn't order anymore food because this was plenty for the two of us to leave full and honestly we could've had leftovers. We will 1000% be visiting again and fully understand the hype around this phenomenal restaurant!!

All the dishes we ordered, from the miso soup and pierogis with salsa macha, to the karaage-don and peanut noodles, were savory and satisfying to eat. The texture and appearance of the chicken for the karaage-don bore more of a resemblance to General Tso's chicken with its battered and crunchy exterior, and it didn't quite have the tender and juicy interior I was hoping for, but I enjoyed the lemon mayo pairing which resulted in a flavorful finish. The Peanut Noodles reminded me of certain iterations of Dan Dan Noodles and certainly tasted fine on its own, but adding the thick chunks of bacon/pork belly was essential in elevating this dish to the next level. The restaurant was very lively on a Thursday afternoon, and the staff very warm and inviting throughout our meal. My drink hit the mark for me, and I found the cocktail menu fun and creative. In fact, I would say "fun and creative" summed up our overall experience at Jackrabbit Filly. Just ask my daughter, who started dancing the entire lunch the moment she saw the disco lights in the bathrooms.
