I got the V1 recommended Pho and my girl got the Pad Thai. It was my first Pho so I can't really compare, but I'd say the Pad-Thai is just as good if not BETTER than Basil restaurant. The service was 10/10, never let my water go empty and were very attentive. I also loved the decor and the neon signs! Great selection of alcoholic drinks for those who partake. read more

My husband and I were glad to see a Pho restaurant come to West Ashley, and Pho & Padthai came highly recommended from several friends. The restaurant is in the back of a strip mall/center and was a pizza place previously. It's small, but the restaurant uses the space effectively, and it reminded me of the small Izakaya restaurants in Japan. There's enough room for seating if you want to eat in, as well as outdoor seating, and they offer takeout. My husband started with the shrimp spring rolls and the chicken satay. I planned to eat some spring rolls, but it turns out they include BOTH pork and shrimp. The menu says the meat options are chicken, pork and shrimp OR veggie. He tasted the pork in the spring rolls before I had one, so I opted out (pescatarian) and said they were good but that the chicken satay and peanut sauce were both bland. I had the Shrimp Papaya Salad, and my husband had the Pho. I got my Shrimp Papaya Salad medium, and I would advise you to be cautious with the spice level because even at medium, it was pretty hot. My husband's Pho was good but the portion was small. We both expected larger portions for the money, as my salad only had three shrimp in it. This spot is pretty new, the workers were nice, and the entrees themselves were good, so I won't write it off. Just remember the portions are small, so order accordingly. read more

We have been here so many times and every visit was a great experience. Met the owner. She was so nice friendly and attentive. It's a tight fit inside so get in early or be prepared to sit outside at the picnic tables. Try everything!! All the food is great. Haven't receive a plate we didn't love. Almost had everything on the menu. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in the middle of West Ashley behind Santi's. read more

We went on Wednesday and came back again Saturday because the food was so good and well priced. The lady managing the place is so sweet and it will become a regular spot for a chill dinner or lunch. The curries are on point and the pho is fresh/light tasting. read more

Love the service here! They're always so friendly. Everyyime I've been here (I've been about 4 times), they've been consistent with great service, amazing food, speed of service, etc. This time I had the red chicken curry with medium heat ... Yum! My kids each had pho and really enjoyed it. We will be back! read more

One of the best Pad See Ew I've had. They use thiiiiiick rice noodles. Reminds me of the little Thai restaurant I got spoiled by growing up on. Ordered the medium heat after reading reviews on here. It was not that serious - definitely will get hot next time. Potatoes in the curry were almost raw. Still delicious and will reheat fine but definitely undercooked. read more

It's hard finding good pho in Charleston, but this place has it! I decided to try something new and got the Bun Bo hue. It was a mix between pho and a noodle bowl. Lots of flavor! They have the chili oil and Szechuan oil that they bring to the table along with extra hoisin and Sriracha. I even got the Thai milk Boba tea, which came in a large, hard plastic to go cup. Inside there are about 10 tables and even bar top along the windows. I think they might be a little understaffed or the staff is just newer, but I would love to come back here for takeout. read more

Great Vietnamese place just outside of downtown Charleston. Tried the Bun Rieu, Vietnamese Curry & Pho. All the dishes were great, well seasoned and hits the spot during a coldish winter day. The outdoor seating is practically in the parking lot, but you are not here for the ambiance, just good food. Service was friendly and prompt. read more

Came in the other night and it was pretty crowded, with people waiting inside the door to takeout orders, etc. The space is cute, but definitely on the small side. The staff was friendly and after a couple of minutes, we were seated on a picnic table outside, as it was full inside. Server came quickly to take our order - the menu is pretty large with a nice variety of options to choose from. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken and medium spice. Order was correct, didn't take too long for it to arrive. It was good, but definitely a little higher than medium on the spice level. It wasn't the best that I've had, but it was solid. I would go back and would like to try another dish, even though Pad See Ew is one of my faves! read more

new space in West Ashely featuring Thai and Vietnamese food with very food lunch specials. The Pad Thai and curry are solid and they can make an authentic Thai hot meal, which many places in Charleston cannot. Seems to be a family opened business with great attention to detail and the owner came to our table personally to make sure everything was good. Food came out fast and it was great for lunch. Will be coming back and check out the dinner menu as well. read more

Absolutely loved the broth in their tonkatsu ramen! Warm, creamy, buttery smooth, and flavorful broth that compliments the usual contents of pork, noodles, egg, etc. Our server was also awesome and accommodating with getting an outdoor table, because the only downside for me was how smokey it was in there and my sensitivity to it. Maybe some improved interior ventilation would be a boon for inside dining. Don't let that discourage you from enjoying anything here because take-outs seemed like a very popular option as well. Definitely one of the best bowls of ramen in West Ashley. read more

Absolutely wonderful authentic Thai food in West Ashley. Very reasonable lunch prices. Super friendly staff / owners. What else can you ask for? I had the pad Thai with tofu and I appreciate that they ask how you would like the tofu: steamed or fried (fried please!). They also asked about spice level and I had the hottest, which wasn't too hot for me but I really do enjoy spicy food. The owners / staff were very friendly and made sure everything went well. I'm looking forward to trying the other lunch specials like the green or red curry or the pad see ew. Also the pho looked great so that's probably worth trying too! read more

The food was really good, especially the pad Thai, which was so balanced. The green curry was good too, but a little bit on the salty side. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our family enjoyed the food and would come back. Sadly I was accidentally overcharged for my food but I hadn't requested a receipt because I was in a hurry, so I didn't have time to do anything about it. I'm sure they would've fixed it if I had said something. read more

So I had to go for an eat in experience after trying take out. And it truly is a better experience. While there's room for take out on this menu, a lot of items are better enjoyed fresh at the restaurant. The drinks are next level good. The servers combine hustle with good suggestions and warmth. The dining room is seat yourself and small- but clean and comfortable. Good music too and fresh flowers. Picnic tables on sidewalk. The Thai tea was 10 outta 10. Arnold Palmer w fresh tea and lemonade was also on point. Pad Thai was solid. Chili tray was fantastic- those chilis in fish sauce took everything up a couple notches! I plan on many return trips here. My only note was that the rice noodles in the bun thit nuong were overcooked. Grateful for this new spot! read more

This is a cozy little place that serves great food with great service. The curry dishes are awesome.

Food was mediocre. Not the best I have had but by no means was it bad. It was good. Services was kind and quick. No chopsticks provided or offered. The spring rolls came with such little sauce it was very odd and disappointing. But the spring rolls themselves were fresh and light. Would I go again? Yes. Would I crave their pho and only their pho, not from my experience. But I'll try any food place 3 times. read more

Even though this place has been open for less than 2 weeks, Ms. Tee runs a wonderful establishment. From the customer service, to the food, This place Will make you want to eat out at least 3 times a week. Its also nice when they remember your face. Aside from the small seating area, which makes it intimate in my opinion, my only knock would be the one restroom. Aside from that, This is a place that goes into my top 5 of Charleston SC restaurants. read more

This place is GOOOOD. I would come here alone for the veggie crispy spring rolls alone. Mama Tee is truly the best, her hospitality is top notch . Location is very cozy and the Thai tea is some of the best ive had! The chicken pho was amazing , super filling. I'm picky with my chicken and the chicken was definitely tender and not chewy. They have a trio of hot sauce that are so spicy but so good if you like spicy food, it is a must. read more

My boyfriend and I came for a late lunch on a Sunday and were seated immediately. The place is quaint and doesn't have lots of seating but that didn't stop a few other groups from coming in (lots of to go orders too)! We ordered the chicken dumplings which you can never go wrong with. For entrees, we ordered pho tai nam and chicken pad kra pao. The pho was good although I'm very picky because my dad makes it spectactularly well so wouldn't get it again personally but I know my boyfriend would. Also wish they had bottles of hoisin and sriracha out. The pad kra pao was hot and delicious! The serving sizes are quite filling as well so you will not leave hungry. The workers are so kind and helpful. I would definitely come back and want to try their stir fried noodles! read more

Amazing to have this in West Ashley! No more driving north to feed your pho craving! The food is delicious and service very kind and attentive. Great use of the space, fitting in several tables and bar stool seating. Wish the pho came with a larger serving of the veggies including cilantro, and bottles of sauce instead of a little cup. We like to really do it up. They were accommodating, just hate to bother them. We'll be back again and again. Have already ordered takeout and their pad Thai is wonderful! read more

Ordered take out and the food was done on time (and still hot so not too long before I showed up at the estimated time). The shrimp in the entrees are an appropriate size (not teeny tiny itty bitty). I ordered the pho even though it was expensive, thinking there must be a reason for the price. The menu mentions that the broth is simmered for 24 hours, so I expected something more rich and flavorful. Unfortunately, it wasn't any different from other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. The broth didn't taste particularly deep, and the bowl size was surprisingly small for the price. I honestly couldn't understand what justified the cost. If someone asked whether I would come back, I probably wouldn't. It felt very overpriced for what was served. read more

Good curry! Good service. Going to try the pad thai next time. Very tight inside the place but super busy. Looks like this one is going to be successful. There were people eating outside as well. The Curry dish I had was green curry with fried tofu and loved the texture of the tofu. The curry was rich with flavor and it lasted me 2 meals.
