This may be my new Chinese delivery. The kung po tofu was delicious! Good mix of veggies with crispy tofu and a yummy savory sauce. The crab Rangoon has a generous filling and delicious dipping sauce. All of the portion sizes were very big and easily split into two or three meals. read more

Listen it's just a normal downtown chinese place but the food is HOT and ready FAST and CONSISTENT. not the cleanest but you know what to expect. AND they let me use their bathroom on a night out when everywhere else said no. this place rocks read more

Everything was good! The service can be better, I was standing at the counter for almost 5 minutes so I almost left, the ambiance was okay.

Great food wife n I get it every payday! Sometimes double back twice one week! Real good food! ALWAYS HOT EVERYTHING!! read more

I only went in there to pick up a DoorDash order and went to use the bathroom and I cannot believe how many cockroaches in a restaurant (this restaurant is literally the cockroaches home. I could've counted 15 or more in the bathroom and in the kitchen and then actually reading the reviews, and seeing people being served with cockroaches in their food is absolutely disgusting. I would definitely not eat here because of cleanliness read more

First time ordering the food was so good highly recommended i had the chicken lo mein sesame chicken and egg roll read more

Yearning for tofu and this order hit the spot! Tofu but crispy and soft, spicy and sweet. It went perfectly with white rice. Also order broccoli was just made my mouth say yummy. Sorry no pictures this time, I shared and suddenly the food was gone! read more

New Peking - Egg rolls, General Tso's Chicken, Egg Drop Soup - Chinese Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

I was so excited to treat myself to some hibachi on my day off, ordered the steak and chicken as well as the "vegetable delight" and to say the least the veggies were mush, absolutely cooked to the consistency of baby food. I understand that maybe it sat in a box and kept cooking but it's inedible and I am crushed after spending close to $80 As well as they forgot my spring rolls. Not ordering from here again. read more

I HAVE FOUND BUGS IN THE FOOD TWICE!!! I wrote this place off a couple weeks ago after finding dead flies throughout my food, went back after a night out because it was open late and there's an entire cockroach cooked in with my chicken! Back to back times with bugs in food is not unlucky. Do not eat here. read more

New Peking - General Tso's Chicken and cockroach - Chinese Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

Trying random food delivery places since it's better can't be choosers on Uber Eats. Food was really good. Fresh shrimp too!

This is the best Chinese takeout I've had in Charleston. This isn't the place you go to eat, I walked by the shop one day and THEN realized this is where I had been ordering Chinese from! So, when you're craving good Chinese, almost like you're in NY, get on Door Dash and order up some yumminess, it will definitely satisfy! read more

First off I paid $25.60 for an order of honey wings with shrimp fried rice and a platter of wings and beef fried rice... food was not worth my money, 5 lil tiny wings cut up and only 5-6 shrimp in my platter. Chicken was dry like it had been refried too many times, the food was just not it... won't be going back anymore, I see why it was empty and dark in there definitely would not suggest this spot to anyone. Keep your money and cook at home read more

Do not order from here! Even if you're drunk, I beg you to go to Taco Bell instead. My lovely wife ordered the fried rice, and it was disgusting. It was crunchy and way undercooked. Plus, they forgot my hot sauce. I have nothing else to say. Peace out. read more

A standard downtown, college town, affordable Chinese. Is it Michelin star? No. Is it a sit-down restaurant to take your date? No. Is it good? Yes. Does it usually hit the spot when you're looking for that familiar taste? Absolutely. Most importantly, is it fast and cheap? Yep. They're closed on Tuesdays, so keep that in mind. Outside of that, expect what you should be expecting. The service is efficient and direct. They do offer Apple Pay, and you can order over the phone without payment. read more

Excellent location and opens late. The food is what you would expect at a traditional Chinese Americanized restaurant, nothing gourmet but great for a cheap bite while enjoying the night scene. When I walked in they had ran out of my first three menu choices so I ended up with the shrimp lo-mein which was a generous portion with what was clearly frozen shrimp. Again, nothing espectacular but cheap and convenient . The service is great and the staff is friendly, the establishment is clean and well taken care of. read more

New Peking - Chinese Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

Although there were some great reviews, the appeal of the restaurant was a show stopper for us. There were no customers inside, the lighting was very low, and the kitchen was behind what appeared to be a plastic enclosure. Upon entering a Door Dash driver picking up an order, she said the employees were always rude! We took that advise and did not purchase any food. read more

The food was very good. I ordered Generals chicken with fried rice. Great prices! Mostly a carry out place.

I ordered this via Uber Eats to be delivered before attending a meeting. The spring rolls were delicious, but the Chicken Pad Thai was disgusting and I'm bummed as it's one of my favorite dishes. I ate a few bites and honestly don't know if I should take the still-full container back and ask for a refund (something I have done ONCE in my life as a former F&B worker) or just throw it out and eat the cost? So so bad. read more

I've been searching for good takeout Chinese in Charleston for a while. This is not some fancy place but it is just what I was looking for. The general Tso's was perfectly fried and all the pieces of chicken seemed like quality white meat. The lo mein was flavorful compared to most takeout lo mein. The Kung Pao chicken was the perfect level of spice and flavor. I will definitely order form these guys again. Hopefully they bring the same quality with every order. read more

Got of work tonight and realized nothing was open except fast food but then saw New Peking was available. Ordered through DoorDash, I was at work a little later than expected so the food got there before me but my food was still so delicious!! Got the hibachi rice, salad with ginger dressing, and spring rolls. Super good! Have tried most of the Chinese restaurants in my area but none of them really hit the spot for me, but they did. Will definitely order from them again! read more

Very rude upon my entry. Lady yelled at me and was very rude and dismissive. This is not ever okay.

Hoped Charleston would have a good Szechuan restaurant. Sadly, no. Door dash selection was a bit limited, so went with the establishment closest to hotel (fresher food) with the best reviews. Ordered what we thought were pot stickers but ended up being straight up fried dumplings. Meh. Shrimp egg roll was surprisingly packed with the crustacean and the spicy accompanying chili sauce for dipping was tasty. The sweet Thai wings were a bit too sugary. Needed more spice and seasoning to get more waves of flavor. The orange chicken was OK. I don't know why I crave this dish because invariably the poultry nuggets lose the crunchiness they get from frying after being doused with the sticky, syrupy, orange flavored sauce. But, I still order it time and time again. The dish had an option for white meat vs. dark, which I had never seen before. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing to write home about. read more

I ordered take out late at night and found bugs in my food. Called the restaurant to get a refund and they expected me to go back into the restaurant...and do what? Tell them AGAIN that there were little black beetle looking things in my food? Luckily Uber refunded me and "will be taking action" for their lack of food safety precautions. read more

New Peking - The bugs in my Foog - Chinese Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Charleston. They always get my order right and it's always delicious. They have the best tofu around, every other restaurant I've tried tofu at has made it gross and squishy with no flavor. New Peking makes it the right way! read more

I am visiting downtown Charleston SC for a conference for work. Tried to find somewhere quick to eat.Came here. The person that took our order was not friendly at all. The food was cold and egg roll was fried hard and tasted burnt. The chicken wings were really small. Enough about the food. I looked around for the sanitation grade nothing found. The floor dirty needed sweeping and mopping. The light fixtures hanging over the tables were disgusting. There was so much dirt and dust on them looked like they had never been cleaned. Also the grease smelt horrible like it hadn't been changed in months. Don't waste your time or money coming here. Enter at your own risk visitors.. read more

Food was delicious. Delivery to our hotel was quick and efficient. Definitely would order from them again during our next visit to Charleston. Perfect handoff. Everything requested was in the bag such as utensils and condiments . read more

This place is awesome. Everything I order is hot & fresh. Good Chinese is Definitely lacking in Charleston, and here is your best bet. Sauces are on point, portions are spot on. It is actually delicious Chinese food! Everything is crisp when it should be & savory at the same time. I ordered Bang Bang shrimp tonight, already expecting the bulk of which to be soggy on gross lettuce-not the case. Shrimp were crispy, dipping sauce was tangy. Everything was hot. Ordered again today-same experience. This place might be the Best Chinese food option in all of Charleston! Order the "bang bang shrimp," you won't be disappointed! The hot & sour soup-amazing, Miso soup too. The chicken gyoza, udon, general shrimp, sweet & sour chicken, rangoons-I could go on & on. AMAZING food. read more

We get to go food from here at least once a week. The service is always quick and the food is great quality. We normally go with the kung pao chicken, wonton soup, and crab rangoons. All very good! read more

Fast, hot, delicious! Couldn't ask for more, especially when it was poppin in Charleston that night. Quick walk from the Hyatt right there. Pay attention, or you'll miss the place, and you don't wanna do that! read more

On time, as ordered and tasty. I would not recommend eating in. Pretty much zero for atmosphere. Takeout works well.

I ordered from Uber eats last night. I was up all night throwing up. my husband was sick all night in the other way. only difference in meal intake was he did not eat the rangoons. I had to call in sick to work today. do not order from here! read more

I really like this place!!! The hot and sour soup is amazing and even more flavorful the next day!! The Kung Pao Chicken has big chunks of chicken and fresh veggies. So, so yummy!!!!! read more

The most disorganized Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. After waiting 20 minutes to go pick up my food, I had to wait another 20 minutes until my food was ready. Then they tell me there's no more wonton soup which was the reason for going. I asked my money back but they kept ignoring me and slapped $4 on the counter for no soup. This place is a disaster, stay away read more

This place was not as good as I'd hoped and the 4.7 stars on Uber eats are a bit misleading. I ordered Lo mein and it had red pepper flakes on it making it so entirely spicy I couldn't eat any of it. There were also red pepper flakes in the dumpling sauce like what?? Please put the red pepper flakes to rest. Lo mein should not be spicy unless advertised to be and the food here would be way better without all the pepper. read more

Had takeout from here earlier this week. The chicken pad Thai was horrible. No flavor other than a fishy aftertaste. I've never met a cheese wonton that I didn't like until here. They were tough and rubbery, just like the egg rolls. The sesame chicken was decent. read more

Ordered chicken fried rice and it wasn't what I expected. It didn't taste bad. I put yum yum sauce on it. The chicken was a bit weird. Not a lot of flavoring. read more
