I was definitely on the fence regarding eating at Old Li's Restaurant... Why? Preconceived ideas…read morebased on nothing basically. How wrong was I?! Old Li's is an outstanding authentic Asian restaurant. I loved it. No reservations required and plenty of tables. It's a very clean well ordered establishment. Also plenty of free parking right outside. The staff could not have been any better, prompt, attentive & very knowledgeable about the menu. The round table we sat had had a "lazy Susan" to facilitate the sharing of dishes. We ordered based on recommendations, personal taste & heat levels. The dishes were absolutely delicious. So good. I think the Peking Duck was the star of the show. If you are seeking Asian authenticity & phenomenal family service.. Old Li's in N. Charleston near Tanger outlet is your place to go. Of note the prices cannot be beat. A really nice change!!

Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered the stir fried beef and green pepper lunch, includes a soft drink. Food arrived quickly and had good flavor but lacking something to put it in the great cateogry. Love the boiled egg that was included. Overall a good visit, I'll return to check out something else on the menu.

I love soup dumplings and all things dim sum so I'm not sure what took me so long to come in for…read moredinner. We did come in on a busy Saturday night at prime dinner time so we had to wait about 40 mins, but I knew there would be a wait so that's fine. Also, once you sit down, you don't wait for anything. Every time we ordered, the food came out in a few minutes or less. For our first round, we started with the a pot of jasmine tea, cucumber salad and the crab rangoon. The cucumber salad seems like such a simple dish, but the mix of flavor they add makes it a refreshing bite between each course... this is a must have. The crag rangoon was some of the best we've ever had and we loved it so much that we ordered a second plate. There are only three per plate so order accordingly. The tea was great but let it steep longer than you think you need to for maximum flavor. Next we did a round fo dumplings. Obviously we had the pork soup dumplings which were fantastic. I wanted to get more, but we had also ordered the sichuan chili wonton and the pan seared pork dumpling. While I enjoyed both of these, I would probably try some of the others on the menu next time. We finished with two entrees. One was the udon noodles with chicken and the other was the beef and broccoli. I love udon noodles for their bouncy texture and this portion was plentiful. The beef and broccoli was so tender and delicious. This would also be a must order item and make sure to get a side of white rice to go with it. While the robot didn't come anywhere near our table, the human servers were all amazing and made sure we had everything we need at a moments notice. They really run a tight ship here and can turn tables while providing excellent service all at once. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

What a great experience at Chef Loong! Came here for a date night after seeing stuff about it…read moreonline and it did not disappoint! We had a reservation and I didn't think we would need it because it was 7:30 on a Thursday, but this place was so busy, we were glad we had one. We were seated quickly and throughout the meal everything was super fast, but we were very hungry so we didn't feel rushed at all. We ordered the crab Rangoon, truffle pork dumplings, chicken dumplings, the naan, and the matcha mochi for dessert. Everything was amazing and so flavorful. The dumplings were really delicious and soupy. The mochi was such a great light dessert! I also found the robot to be a fun and cute addition that you don't see every day!

The whole place feels quaint and local, yet refined and classy. First off I love that it's a full service bar and eating at the bar is no problem. Second I absolutely love they sell pitchers of beer. Not many taps, but still pitchers. And it's mostly local beer. I was with my husband and we wanted to try several things and took recs from the bartender who was awesome. We ordered the pork dumplings, the scallion pancake and the spicy sichuan hot karaage rice bowl. And we made it a combo with miso soup and an egg roll for $4. The pork dumplings were SO good. I could eat a meal of those alone. They were dense and flavorful and the dipping sauce was slightly spicy. The scallion pancake was a surprise delight. It was crispy and not too greasy again with a delicious dipping sauce. The miso soup...chefs kiss. It looked like ordinary miso soup but there was something extra that we really loved!! And the egg roll was big and juicy and fried and wonderful. It's a veggie egg roll but don't let that fool you. So much flavor and again the sweet chili dipping sauce left us drooling. Most of those sauces are too sweet but this was the perfect blend and the perfect spice level. The rice bowl was full of flavor!! The spice on this is quite a lot so make sure you can handle heat if you order the "hot" version. But again lots of flavor not just hot. Thank god we didn't order anymore food because this was plenty for the two of us to leave full and honestly we could've had leftovers. We will 1000% be visiting again and fully understand the hype around this phenomenal restaurant!!

All the dishes we ordered, from the miso soup and pierogis with salsa macha, to the karaage-don and peanut noodles, were savory and satisfying to eat. The texture and appearance of the chicken for the karaage-don bore more of a resemblance to General Tso's chicken with its battered and crunchy exterior, and it didn't quite have the tender and juicy interior I was hoping for, but I enjoyed the lemon mayo pairing which resulted in a flavorful finish. The Peanut Noodles reminded me of certain iterations of Dan Dan Noodles and certainly tasted fine on its own, but adding the thick chunks of bacon/pork belly was essential in elevating this dish to the next level. The restaurant was very lively on a Thursday afternoon, and the staff very warm and inviting throughout our meal. My drink hit the mark for me, and I found the cocktail menu fun and creative. In fact, I would say "fun and creative" summed up our overall experience at Jackrabbit Filly. Just ask my daughter, who started dancing the entire lunch the moment she saw the disco lights in the bathrooms.

Just one look at our picture and you can see that not only is everything so saturated and intoxicatingly rich looking and tasting, the variety of dishes and ambiance all brought the house down. The scallion noodles were really good BUT my mom's are better. I do still appreciate the crunchiness of the fried scallions and the tanginess of the oil sauce but I wanted a slightly thinner, more slippery noodle and the inclusion of sesame seeds and fried shallots for a more well rounded flavor profile. Their general Tso's tofu dish was absolutely delicious. Their kung pao mushroom dish leaned towards the saltier side but was still incredibly appetizing. I got the Cantonese egg noodle with cha shao pork slices. The pork, while tasted and looked great, was cut way too thickly. They also could've used a bit more heat and time on the grill. The entree portions were big but the scallion noodles were tiny. Our server was personable but did get our bill mixed up with another table. Besides that, I did appreciate his recommendations and commentary. Loved this place and it ended up being our favorite restaurant in Charleston so that was high praise.
