I just ordered a delivery takeout with China fun - of three items. The first two items were very good but the small spareribs were just terrible. They didn't taste like they were ever on a bone - they were dry and Thick overcooked in this awful dark red sauce. Meat was so tough, like rawhide. I wouldn't even give this to my dogs. I called to get a credit for the $10 awful spare ribs. And they told me I needed to bring it back and exchange it - or nothing/ the whole point of paying for delivery is convenience. Visited China Fun for lunch today. It is located in West Ashley in the plaza with food lion. There is plenty of parking. Indoor dining is available or carry out. I ordered a large egg drop soup. The place is clean and the staff was courteous. My soup came out quickly with noodles and a fortune cookie. The soup was very good. I will return to try more of the menu. The chicken was decent but pretty sweet - exactly what you'd expect from a Chinese takeout place but it lacked any spice. The fried rice I did not love, not sure if it was from the pork or something else but I did not enjoy the flavor. Egg roll was standard as well. The crab rangoon was good and still crispy for dinner! My standard order is the General Tao Chicken combo with an egg roll and pork fried rice. It is a large enough portion I have never been able to finish the whole combo and usually have two sometimes 3 meals from it. I have a picky eater here and the favorite order is chicken lo mein no vegetables. I have also tried the wonton soup. The service and ambiance is typical for a fast food style of Chinese restaurants. You walk up to the counter to order your food. You wait 10 minutes, and your food is ready. No complaints there. Food itself was subpar. I typically like dumplings. Theirs tasted like they've been in the freezer for a long time. I also ordered boneless spareribs. These were dry. First time customers, we ordered delivery last night and even though we were only a few minutes from the place, it will also be our last!!! I don't understand the concept of Chinese people and why they think it is appropriate to serve OLD food to their customers like dogs!!! I knew something was wrong when the food shows up literally 10 minutes later, as it would easily have taken 10 to 15 minutes to make this meal... Yeah I understand they're slow as the guy said and I understand they are only three minutes away, but when your order arrives in 10 minutes and you know it takes that long just to process and pack the food you're in for a MAJOR let down and guess what? That's exactly what happened! I can't say ANYTHING at all good about ANY of the food other than the hot and sour soup, because it's OK to serve old soup you can't tell the difference. Every single dish that came was OLD, reheated and they are not even good at that simple task as every single dish was "slightly" above room temperature! *******That's called food poisoning guys!!!******* ALL 4 egg rolls were soft and mushy and barely warm. I mean seriously, you can't even take the time to put OLD egg rolls back in your fryer for a few minutes to make them crispy???? You just throw it in the microwave for a couple minutes? That's PURE laziness!!! The pepper steak and onions came as pepper steak with four different types of mixed vegetables, which again was obvious it was OLD and reheated as all of the vegetables were soft and soggy. That's DOUBLE laziness.
