My favorite Chinese restaurant hands down. I love the food so much I always forget to take a picture. By the time I remember I'm almost done with the food. I order the Shrimp Fried Rice (no onions), Chicken Wings, two Egg Rolls and a Coke Cola. I usually call in it and then drive up there. Being that the service is so fast. You will have your food in 10 minutes. The restaurant is small inside and only has a few tables to sit at. It's located in a shopping plaza. read more

The food was just okay. The egg foo young was nice, the gravy was decent. The egg rolls were okay. The fried rice wasn't anything special. I think we expected more from a restaurant so highly rated. The service was fine, the woman who took the order wasn't rude or anything like that. The inside mirrored your regular Chinese takeout location. The food smelled really good. I'd probably pass, unless this is the nearest Chinese restaurant to you. read more

My family and I have been going here for years. Our favorite dishes are usually beef with broccoli, fried chicken wings w/ pork fried rice, Gen Tsos chicken, and sesame chicken. My son loves the shrimp egg foo young and my daughter loves the fried dumplings. Service is food and fast. read more

I grew up on #1 Kitchen so there's nothing getting between me and my first love. Whether I get the fried chicken with the shrimp fried rice combo or the boneless spare rib combo with the sweet tea, they always fulfill a nostalgic part of me. Service is quick, thorough, & they even speak a little Spanish. We love inclusion. This is a hood classic. No.1 kitchen is #1 in my heart. read more

Have been going since 2012 extremely good service nice people and amazing food. Me and my moms go-to is their shrimp and broccoli, shrimp fried rice w. Chicken wings and lo mein all AMAZING! read more

Great food always fast and friendly. This place was a staple when I was here from 2007-2009, and they are still a favorite now.

High prices for average, bland food. My total came to almost $24 and all I got was some things noodles and chicken sticks. The portions are very weak for what you get and pay for. Too bad the china palace next door closed. They were AWESOME. This place, not so much. read more

Crab Rangoons are my favorite. Also pretty good wings and quality wonton soup. Good service

The people working here are kind and they are very efficient in getting your food out fast and hot. So far i have tried the Sesame shrimp, Sesame chicken, Wonton soup, and "Moo Shu Chicken with 6 pancakes". The pricing is a bit on the expensive side for chinese food. First, the Moo shu chicken was not bad, it seemed to be a bunch of cabbage and some meat in a brown stew/sauce. It came with 6 stuck together rice wrappers rolled up in plastic wrap, when i originally thought they were pancakes, they were tough and chewy and tasted like eating paper. The wonton soup tasted a bit salty but not too bad, the wontons themself had no flavor and there appeared to be a dark meat inside but it did not have flavor. The orange chicken had a good tasting sauce, and it came loaded with the sauce, so much that it nearly leaked out of the container. the orange chicken was heavily coted in breading, and when i took a bite it seemed to be 60% breading. I did not expect much. The sesame shrimp is in the same sauce and was heavily breaded as well. I expected with so much breading that they would be crispy, but instead they were more soggy and chewy. To be honest if you are looking for a quick meal of chinese food, This would be a good place. It is a bit on the expensive side but still reasonable. They give big portions as well. They are just a bit lacking in flavor and food quality, but that is to be expect with this type of food. read more

Number One Kitchen on Red Bank Road in Goose Creek is a great place to go for delicious and fresh Chinese food when you are in the area and want something good. First, let start with Fried chicken wings. Crunchy on the outside. RAW IN THE INSIDE!! Gummy Pork Fried rice. I had my son gone to the wrong restaurant. Usually I always go to Lams Garden. When I called the owner, she informed she cooked over 200 orders, and no one complain... that's fine. It will reflect in your rating ;-) read more

The food was definitely fast & hot. We order sesame from every Chinese food restaurant we try. This is some of the best I've ever had. With the exception of Chinatown in NYC. The fried rice could be a little more flavorful. The boneless ribs were flavorful but seemed a little undercooked to me. We also ordered the sweet & sour chicken & the chicken pieces were a little more doughy than we are used to. They still had a nice crunch & the sauce was some of the best I've had. Overall definitely worth trying. We would go again in the future. read more

One thing I can say about this place is that it's fast. Ordered over the phone and by the time I got there in like 5 mins it was ready. I got the steamed dumplings and egg drop soup. Which I consider to be staples when it comes to ordering Chinese food. Regardless if it's a take-out shop or sit down restaurant. Well the price was reasonable since which I pretty much expected for Goose Creek. The dumplings were a little watery so more boiled then steamed it seems. The meat inside was not the best but I'm pretty picky about my steamed dumplings. They weren't horrible just not my favorite. I've had my share of chinese food. This place is definitely clean and the people are friendly. read more

Food is hot & fresh it lacks flavor. We ordered fried wings, chicken lo mein, and hot & sour soup. Everything was bland.

1. Over charge me. Order the moo goo psi pan $5.75 and was charged $6.75 total instead of $6.21 2. The chicken was chewy 3. The egg drop soup tasted okay, nothing special 4. No napkins were provided in my take out bag I would drive somewhere else next time, or, order something else (non chicken) read more

I remember this place a lot. Even when we moved across the country and came by to visit and wanted something quick from here, the owners still remembered us. Hot and Sour Soup, Fried Rice and General Tso's chicken. Maybe the chicken wings. Man, this place was greasy, but delicious. They always hooked it up with extra stuff too since we were regulars here. It's in the Food Lion plaza on Redbank. read more

The food is always hot and fresh! Been going for years! Love this place, and always same consistency.

So...it's been about two years since I've actually visited this place, but the fact that I'm writing a positive review about it two years later should speak volumes as to how awesome this place is. The staff working here are friendly, quick, and efficient. If you're looking for Chinese FAST food, this is it. My friends at school and I would give a order of 8 different items and would come back less than 10 minutes later to find the food prepared, wrapped, and bagged. I also love the fact that the man (owner?) who worked at the register always wore a "USA" ballcap! The food is great for Chinese fast food. Coming from Southern California, I've been spoiled by good Chinese food and this place was about on par with what I'm used to. Granted, it is fast food, so expect it to be greasy. Despite how unhealthy they may be, I still would recommend getting General Tso's chicken or barbeque pork...mmm. The amount of food is enormous! I used to eat one by myself then promptly go into food coma afterwards. Plan on ordering one dish for two people. And, finally, in the spirit of Chinese fast food, this place is cheap. Pretty much everything on the menu is less than $10. And, keeping in mind the previous bit I wrote about the amount of food, you'll either have a meal for two people or two meals all to yourself! Great! read more

There aren't many great places to eat near the NWS, but this is definitely at the top of the list. It's a little hold in the wall next to the Food Lion, where students from NNPTC line up, especially the day before an exam, to get fresh, hot chinese food fast. General Tso's Chicken is awesome, everything is cooked fresh when you order, great eggrolls, and tons of food for less than $10. read more

I lived near this location for about two years now and I have to say that Number One Kitchen is one of the greatest Chinese restaurants I have dealt with in the Goose Creek area. Not only is the staff great and friendly but no matter what I order its always-great food and well received. I am a fan of General Tso's Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, Boneless Ribs, and their Crab Sticks. Conveniently near my home as well as the NWS they offer easy convenient service and they are priced affordable. read more

A rare gem amongst all the slop called Chinese in this area. Freshly made when ordered and quick for takeout. The food was great and plentiful for the low cost. It's true the crab rangoons are amazing & I highly recommend the House Special Chow Mei Fun (ultra thin lo mein noodles) read more

So I decided to finally check this place out after months of putting it off. The reviews for this joint are great so today was the day to tried #1 Kitchen. Things started off bad due to some ignorant ass teenagers who were eating inside. It goes to show you what happens when crack heads have children. Anyways, We waited for about 10 minutes for our takeout. I got the Shrimp Fried Rice and the General Tso's Chicken. The food was GREAT! The rice and shrimp were perfectly cooked. The General Tso's was packed with flavor and cooked just the way I like it. I destroyed my chow with no regrets then felt like going into a food coma. This is the best Chinese food down here in Butt Crack South Carolina hands down. I'm a fan minus the juvenile delinquents. read more

Fast Food Chinese! That's a good description. I normally don't care for buffet Chinese so when I want Chinese I go to #1Kitchen in Goose Creek . I enjoy their fast friendly service and they recognize their regular customers!!! I enjoy their House Pancit,House Fried Rice, Chicken Broccoli with white rice & white sauce, egg rolls. Continue the great service & food! read more

5 STARS FOR FOOD QUALITY ALONE. Very average atmosphere, but for take out, I've not had better. Tso, Sweet and Sour, Kung Po, The Fried dumplings are freakin great. read more

They talk in Chinese so you know it's a good place also they make some dope food, I recommend the sesame chicken and the beef broccoli.

It's a shame that no-one from Charleston has reviewed this place! Probably trying to keep it a secret. Well, the world knows now!! I grew up around the corner and have been here hundreds of times. C-13 is my favorite thing to order...Gen Tso's Chicken. Other Chinese places generally taste the same but the food here amazing!! The egg drop soup is also delicious and the have the freshest crispy noodles that I've ever had. I will often get extra bags. The owner is so friendly and even after 15years of me going here, he still will greet me with "hey my friend". (no...he does not do this to everyone) Absolutely the BEST!! read more

the chinese food at this place rocks! Ordered the egg foo yung (delish!) and the house special lo mein (super delish!)

This place has some of the best steamed dumplings!

I really had high hopes for this place after reading the positive reviews. Unfortunately, aside from the General Tso's Chicken, which was as tasty as reported, it was awful. The wonton soup tasted like someone had dropped a box of salt in the stockpot. The crab rangoons' filling was full of sugar and the egg roll was marginal, at best. The chicken is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. read more

Little bit of a hole in the wall but great food! Fast service and decently priced. Had the Mongolian beef there and everything tasted great! Only set back was that it was a bit greasy but still and amazing meal! Definitely would recommend to friend and will go back!! read more

I grew up eating here. Not much has changed over the past 20+ years. The food is always amazing, and it's always the same.
