My family and I had a wonderful brunch here. Awesome staff and awesome food! I loved the crab benedict. My husband loved the chix and waffles. My son raved it was the best bacon he ever had. My other son really enjoyed the sea biscuit. We even found the word search painted on the wall next to us entertaining. I will be stealing that idea for my home lol. Shout out to Vicious Biscuit for a wonderful dining experience especially during COVID-19! read more

Asked manager to speak to guest with large dog that was constantly barking. He said give me a minute. He walked past them twice and not once said anything. You've lost a local customer and I will not recommend to any of my guests or clients. read more

The king of fancy biscuits! This place is everything and then some. On a recommendation from a friend we decided to visit for breakfast. I had the " vicious" biscuit with jalapeño cheddar biscuit, fresh maple sausage gravy and jalapeño slices over a deep fried Stormy Farms chicken breast. It was so good. My wife had the Sea Biscuit. It comes with local fried shrimp and a Thai slaw that is amazing. I also had their signature Bloody Mary. It was also great. read more

Food is fantastic. They have a whole selection of delicious butters and jams to go with the biscuits.

We are so excited that Vicious Biscuit is now open! Took the family and we were all impressed. The line, though long, moved quickly. Outstanding service and the food was delicious. Biscuits were huge, and the jelly/jam/butter bar offered a selection of tasty choices. Sweet potato butter was my fave. Bacon and coffee were great as well! read more

Great little breakfast place. Food was hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend for breakfast.

The Vicious Biscuit was incredible! The biscuits were so soft and tasty. Service was so great too! A dashing young gentleman named Jared made sure my biscuit wasn't too soggy! Because nothing is worse than a soggy biscuit. Don't let the name fool you! This staff is the opposite of vicious! Very friendly :) Will definitely be back to be serviced by Jared!;) read more

Ordered takeout from here for breakfast. Easy to order online and you call when you get there and the staff brings it straight to your car. I got the flame thrower biscuit, don't be fooled by the title it is slightly spicy but not overwhelming if you're not big on heat. Biscuit was a little hard on the bottom but had great flavor with the chicken, bacon, and jalapeños. read more

I've been coming here for years now, and every time I am extremely happy and satisfied. My favorite brunch/breakfast spot in all of Charleston and I'm a local that's been almost everywhere. Not too expensive, massive portions, great food, clean establishment, and friendly/fast Service! I typically get "the vicious" or "the old school breakfast," depending on the mood. The grits, bacon, gravy, and potatoes are always amazing. You can't go wrong! Coffee/OJ are great and the food comes out quickly. If you see a long line all the way out the building, you'll still be sitting down with food in less than 20-30 mins. Trust me. read more

Others' reviews convinced me to give the Vicious Biscuit a try. It's just too much. I got the shrimp and grits, which is a personal favorite. But the dish, with all the ingredients was just too much. The grits were too runny. The biscuits too big. The sauce suffocated the flavor of the shrimp. Great vibe, great service. Just not my cup of tea. read more

We tried the beignets (AMAZING), The Vicious Biscuit (subbed cowboy candy for candied bacon), and The Flame Thrower Biscuit. All were delicious and great service! Fresh squeezed orange juice was great, and don't forget to check out the butter bar to dress up any plain biscuits! read more

Vicious Biscuit is one of Charleston's best biscuit offerings. Their base biscuit is a cheddar jalapeño. While you can order plain biscuits, they have a number of biscuit sandwiches that add chicken, pimento cheese, bacon jam, and other toppings into the mix. I got the Fat Boy -- the chicken tasted great and the biscuit had a soft, fluffy texture. The portion sizes here are huge and the biscuit filling often exceeds the footprint of the biscuit itself (making it difficult to eat as a hand food -- you'll definitely need a fork and knife). read more

Get ready for deliciousness!! There are so many good choices it's hard to decide. The butter and jam bar had a ton of different options and we're all amazing. I got the Ranchero and my father got the yogurt bowl. Very filling portions, I shouldn't have eaten it all- but I did because it was so darn good. I will definitely be back. Also- kid friendly! My 2 year old loved it too. read more

Amazing breakfast with the family! When you approach, don't be scared of the long line that's literally out the door...It moves pretty quick and you're just in line to order! We sat at a high top in the corner which the kids enjoyed. Our favorites so far have been: The BYOB, Crab Benny, Old School Breakfast, Bird and the Belgian, Sweet Puppies, Iced Latte, Iced Coffee, and Sweet Tea. Great breakfast, brunch, or lunch choice!! read more

This place lives up to the hype! Every item we had was delicious! Mt kids got their sweet potato waffles and loved them. The sausage gravy and biscuits "Gravy Train" is a tad on the sweet side- so order extra chives if you want to make it more savory. The "Fat Boy" is so so good. The combo of chicken pimento and hot honey is to die for. "The Ranchero" is unexpected! Very good for those who love Mexican food!! We can't wait to go back!! read more

I came back to Charleston with some friends to revisit all of my favorite foods, and so I was a little put-out when someone suggested this place, an unknown to me, and like, come on, what place in the south DOESN'T have decent biscuits? Well joke's on me, it was my favorite meal of the trip! I had the Mater and my guy had the Vicious, both very different from each other but so delicious. The gravy on the Vicious has a sweetness to it! Genius! The biscuit selection was interesting, focused, and the components made sense together. My buttermilk biscuit was sooooo soft and buttery, but didn't fall apart. The cheddar jalapeno biscuit looked firm on the outside, but the crunch again yield to a soft and savory palette for the fried chicken. I tried some of my sister's vicious bacon and my friend's oatmeal, both super tasty. The different types of butter and jam you could add to your biscuit, omg, that was the real star! Maple bourbon butter! So yummy! Just so you know I'm not being effusive, I do have a few criticisms: the Mater had a scoop of pimento cheese and a scoop of bacon jam, side by side. This is probably efficient for assembling purposes, but you won't want to eat it like this, it's better with both spread over the tomato and biscuit. Also, cutlery, napkins, straws, and water cups are all grouped immediately in front of the register, so if you don't think to grab this immediately after ordering you will cause a traffic jam when you circle back to get what you need. I do have seating insecurity, but I tend to believe that the counter service/seat yourself model is efficient. Could maybe add a self-bussing station since the place is quite busy, but employees didn't always have margin to clear dirty tables for people waiting. On that note, all employees seemed pleasant, cheerful, and unharried, it was nice! Definitely coming back on my next trip to Mount Pleasant. read more

This place is awesome & reliable. They take call-in take out orders (no one around here seems to do that)! Thr biscuits are as big as your head. The sweet potato waffles with bacon are perfect for kids & delicious. The sweet potato biscuits are delicious. The regular biscuits and the biscuits & gravy are a staple & must. The sandwiches are amazing but I like my sauces on the side. Really cant go wrong here. They offer Charleston Tea Plantation tea which is a local treat that isnt available in grocery stores. Try it all! read more

This place rocks. They've got great food, great drinks, and I've got a great system figured out. Don't turn away if the parking lot is full and there is a line out the dirt. We drove an hour to check it out - Showed up and there was a line to the door. We ordered, took a seat, were served, and out the door in under 30 minutes. I ordered the Flamethrower and a Bloody Mary and my wife had a vicious biscuit and a greyhound. (I think if I go back I'll have to try the Vicious). We will definitely be back to run through more of the menu. read more

One of our favorite breakfast spots. Difficult to pick a favorite dish, depends on what I'm hungry for. Sausage gravy is always a must!

I really wanted to like this place. But, the biscuits just simply aren't good. If you have the word biscuit in your name, you need to have stellar biscuits. Not only were these not stellar, they were honestly kind of gross. They're not light and flaky at all. They're dense like cake and have so much butter in them it's like eating a brick of lard. Maybe the other reviewers didn't notice this because they ordered the slathered versions. The potatoes were barely warm and totally dried out and the bacon was burnt. On the positive side: My husband enjoyed the grits. The condiments bar is fun and the jams were good. The coffee is tasty. The staff was friendly and the establishment is clean. read more

Vicious Biscuit - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

We live basically across the street from Vicious Biscuit and eagerly awaited the grand opening. We could see lines out the door for the first few days so we stayed away until things settled down. My daughter and I went for a late afternoon lunch...perfect time, no crowds or lines. I won't lie, it took me a LONG time to make up my mind because, as another reviewer stated, there aren't any simple biscuits here. But there are a lot of decked out ones to choose from. I will save you from most of the details about specific biscuits as many other reviewers have shared the lowdown on the food, and they're all raving. I got the 'Mater and my daughter got the "Gravy train." We are not big people by any means and when they brought the food out, my eyes popped out of my head. These, especially the "Gravy Train," could easily feed two people or more. Both were totally delicious but were GUT BUSTERS. I wouldn't recommend coming here with a huge hangover or you will be spending the rest of the day in the bathroom. Or, you can drink and create a hangover here (lots of libations to choose from), eat biscuits, then go home and spend the rest of the day in the bathroom. I liked the Vicious Biscuit a ton. And I'm glad it's across the street, hoping it will give us Mt. P'ers a respite from another possible storage facility...at least for a while! Service was great, the place was clean (it's new!) and tasteful, not too much of a layout change from Boulevard Diner (RIP). Food was great as well, I just know that for me, the next time I go back, I would go purist and just get a biscuit (several varieties to choose from) and loiter around the jelly/jam bar. The 'Mater I had pretty much knocked me out for the rest of the day. But, I'm small and can't eat that much. And I did. Now, excuse me while I go take a nap! Welcome Vicious Biscuit...well worth the wait! read more

Biscuit is too big for a breakfast sandwich. It overwhelms the other ingredients. The staff is very accommodating however.

AMAZING EVERYTHING!!!! Food, Service, etc. I called in an order for several employees. When I arrived , I was greeted with a smile and my order. Everything was perfectly prepared with napkins and utensils. You've gotta get the sweet potato bites...OMGOSH!!! read more

We ate here 2 times during our week long vacation. All four of us loved the food and atmosphere!

The Flame Thrower may have put us into even more of a coma after our redeye flight into Charleston, but it was well worth it. The thick-cut candied bacon was amazing, the biscuit was moist and perfect. Definitely want to go back and try several other things. read more

Amazing place - food is delicious - service was awesome and the biscuits were great- must go to place!

Absolutely speechless. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because this place totally changed my entire outlook on food. The first bite of that beignet opened my eyes to a food experience I had not yet known. It was phenomenal, so much so that there is not an adjective to describe it. I have not had that great of food since I went to Italy 3 years ago- and that food was amazing. I've been missing out and my taste buds are ecstatic. Try the Ranchero and vicious Benedict because just wow. I bet anything you get on that menu will change your LIFE. Absolutely recommending to anyone and everyone going to the Charleston area, and now I'm definitely going to learn how to make beignets. Food CAN be amazing, so do not miss out on this place. Also I got my Ranchero with spinach- 10/10 recommend. (PS: they also have gluten free options). read more

Amazing food, great service, and awesome staff. If you pull up and there's a line outside, suck it up and wait - it's worth it and to be frank we've never been here when there wasn't a line. Great food alert! The biscuits themselves are fluffy and delicious and ordering the signature biscuits is fun as there are a lot of combinations I wouldn't think of. I highly recommend the Vicious (although full disclosure I remove the jalapeños). It's a little pricy for everyday consumption but is a fun brunch spot with a bar. The line can be long and you have to wait for a table on the weekends but it's worth it for a special treat! Ps- don't forget there's extra parking behind the building in the grass! read more

Delicious!! They just opened 3 days ago and it appears as though it's running like a well greased machine. The order line was to the door when I got there but the line moved quickly. The food was delivered very quickly by the very courteous and friendly staff. The FOOD!! Yum!!! I ordered the 'Mater to eat in, and the Flame Thrower to go. Both were really good! Huge meals. One order is three meals for me. I'm not a person who wants quantity, I want quality and this place delivers. Enjoy! read more

Went on weekday around 1030 and the bad news is that there was a long line and it was packed. The good news is that there was a long line and it was packed so I knew I was in for some good food. Line moved pretty fast. I had the vicious and it was excellent. The biscuit by itself was fantastic too. All 4 of my group loved what they had. The only complaint was 2 of them thought it was too much food - silly people. Service was excellent as well. 100% will be back in that line next time I'm in town! read more
