The Vicious Biscuit would be 5 stars if not for the long wait line. One Sunday I came and I kid you not, the line was stretched from the inside to the parking lot. Not knowing the type of establishment it was as far as ordering and seating, I thought the line started at the door lol. Nope. There was a line outside and an even longer line inside. Fast forward to my 2nd attempt at trying to eat here...line was shorter this time around but still kinda long but I waited. There's only one person taking orders at the counter in the front of the restaurant. But once I ordered, food was delivered in a timely manner. I ordered THE VICIOUS BISCUIT. Man that thing was delicious! I also ordered the Southern Sunrise cocktail. That was perfect mixed and delicious as well!! I'll definitely be back to try more menu items. PS: there aren't any paper menus so please have the menu up on your phone to review before getting to the front to have to read the menu board above the counter. read more

Amazing food! This was our first time here Food is delicious. We were on vacation during our visit, had a SLIGHT wait and didn't mind vacationing in line for a FEW minutes. Did I mention that the food was great...? Definitely an out of the box breakfast place. Great service, friendly crew and they checked on us even though it was busy. We had "the gravy train" and "the Benny", it was plenty of food. Coffee was great and the have fresh squeezed orange juice. read more

This place is truly unique and amazing. They have a nice location with decent parking available. The inside well designed with plenty of seating. They keep the inside very clean. With the popularity of this place soon as you walk in expect their to be a line. We came in around 10AM and the line was pretty short. We ordered to go and our order was ready in about 12 minutes. The staff were super friendly and helped us decide on which tasty biscuit we were getting. While we waited we gathered up a few items from the Jam and Butter bar - so many yummy things to chose from. We got the Vicious, Flame Thrower, Mater and Sea Biscuit. The Vicious was very good and the combination of flavors made it so delicious. The Flame Thrower was also a treat and very fulfilling. The Sea Biscuit was delicious and the favorite of my wife and daughter. The Mater was very unique and we all loved it. It was a delight and just writing this makes me crave it. The bacon jam is addictive! Their biscuit do have a sweetness about them but I really loved them. To me the layers of flavors they put on their tasty biscuits put them in a class all by themselves. They have the best breakfast biscuits I have ever had. I look forward to my next visit to try more from the fun and unique offerings. read more

Great place for Biscuits !!!! To say the least, there's more than biscuits but that's the best part . There's also coffee served as well. This place has a lot of variety and an extensive menu with various degrees of biscuit combinations to choice from. I enjoyed the jalapeño cheddar biscuit and also the homemade biscuits with an variety of homemade jams to choose from. This is place you have to try a couple times to truly get the feel for the atmosphere and the food . This is an amazing concept of adding homemade biscuits with a southern twist to it. I will heading back to get more of a feel for the menu , If your a parton that loves biscuits as much as i do , then be sure to visit this place and apply pressure to the menu !!!!!! This is a 5star establishment , with great service .. read more

Good name. Good biscuit. Stand in line, order at the counter, find a seat, your order is brought to you. There are many biscuit options on the menu. I recommend ordering a plain biscuit and then attacking the bar of complimentary homemade toppings, butters, and jams. The biscuits here are not necessarily flakey and crumbly, but heavy and dense. read more

I regret that I could only make it here once during my recent trip to Isle of Palms. The quality of the food, service, atmosphere, and everything about this place is way above par. The biscuits have flavor like biscuits should have, and the toppings are absolutely incredible. There is always a line if Vicious Biscuit is open, but some of the most pleasant folks make the wait well worth it. I had the half order of "The Gravy Train". oA huge biscuit smothered in maple sausage gravy that will stick to your ribs. So tasty and if you can eat the full order, you are special. My wife had the old fashioned breakfast platter and was not disappointed. The Flame Thrower is in my future as I see they are opening in Charlotte and Boone, NC, among others. I gave it 5 stars, but it seems like a very low rating. read more

Absolutely fantastic!! The biscuits are big and fluffy and beautifully flavored. We had the Fat Boy and Babe, both excellent choices. The fat boy has fried chicken, yummy pimento cheese and a spicy honey drizzle. The babe had excellent pulled pork, bacon and jalapeños (had a good sauce as well). They have a good selection of butter and jams as well as self serve coffee and soda (free refills). They also have a selection of specialty coffees and fresh juices. The place is always packed, get there early. They have seating inside and out and enough parking as well. A must visit... we will be back!! read more

Think fast food biscuits but fine dining flavor. Everyone loved their biscuits especially with maple butter. I was thrilled they had gluten free. read more

The definition of a meal that you kind of feel bad about yourself for having but are still glad you did it. Boastfully overly indulgent, huge portions of stuff that is simply not at all good for you but just phenomenal. Had a Flamethrower. Delicious, good amount of pop to it but not so much as to be overwhelming. I'm a big boy and was starving and I couldn't finish it. I don't want to think about how many calories that was, but it was delicious with a fried egg thrown on it. Toppings bar has some winners too. Maple bourbon butter if I was even more shameless than I am already I probably would have stuffed a few to go side containers of on my way out. Get you some. Don't miss the fresh squeezed juice either. Seems a little pricy and frankly kind of is, but never had a better glass of grapefruit. read more

Ok Now I see why the lines have been so long for this place every time I passed by. Omg!!!!!! I think I've found a quick spot to eat at! Omg this biscuit is AMAZING!!! So what I ordered was a "FatBoy" and sweet potato fritters and the Pimento cheese and hot sauce on it is beyond worth it all!!!! Definitely if you're looking for a quick brunch spot in the Mt Pleasant area come here! But get here early!!!!!!! I will say it's worth the wait if you don't! But it's pet friendly, you can sit indoors or outdoors. read more

This place is amazing the food and the service are top notch. We went for the first time this weekend and we'll definitely be back! I ordered something and wasn't paying attention to the description and it was spicy, when I went to ask for it to be boxed so I could order something else they asked why? When I told them I don't eat spicy things they said no big deal let me remake it for you...the new plate was at my table in 3 minutes or less! The homemade butters are amazing too! Can't wait to go back and try another delight! read more

Disclaimer. This review is also posted on Google. It's a long one and I did not want to write two! To review or not to review. That was the question. I usually don't do reviews on places unless they are really good or really bad. I decided to go ahead and do this one even though I mostly liked this place. There is another review on here that I would agree with and I finally decided in the interest of the Holy Southern Buttermilk Biscuit that I had to give my opinion a voice. To start I will say what I did like. I generally do not like counter service because you usually get the counter and no service. This restaurant does counter service right. A good approach lane with menus provided in the lane and also able to see the menu up on the wall straight in front of you. Quick service at the counter. I didn't like the tip request at ordering time but and this was also done well, we had workers coming to the table several times asking if we needed anything and noticed quick table clearing giving fast table turnover. So did not mind the tip request. These guys deserved it and earned it. So, exceptional service and cleanliness. Well done! On to the food we go. Whenever I go to a restaurant that is "famous" for biscuits I usually get biscuits and gravy because if you can't do this, then I don't want anything else. We ordered the Gravy Train with sides of two eggs, grits and bacon. The Gravy Train is two biscuits with sausage gravy. The biscuits are buttermilk biscuits and the gravy is sausage gravy. First, these are huge biscuits which in my opinion should require a large amount of gravy. I ran out of gravy long before I finished the biscuit. The proportions are way off. Second, I liked the outside crunchy part of the biscuits but I did not like how sweet these biscuits were. These, after all, are buttermilk biscuits and that's the flavor profile I want when eating buttermilk biscuits and (hopefully), buttermilk based gravy. If I want sweet in a bread at breakfast then cinnamon rolls will do. The gravy was also sweet, but I think this was because they used sweet Italian sausage. A normal Southern or sage based sausage would be much better. I could be wrong there, but it was on the sweet side. Thirdly, I was not a big fan of the texture of the inside of the biscuit, to me it was crumbly and not flaky or fluffy. In other words, more like a cake than a biscuit. As for the sides, the eggs were done well and the grits were really good. I wish the bacon had been crispier but when it came to the table curled up in the bottom of a cup I knew I should have asked for crispy bacon so that's my fault. Don't get me wrong, I did like this restaurant and will go back because someone there knows how to run this kind of restaurant and I would like to try other items on their menu. Also, from other reviews it would seem that a lot of people like/love their biscuits and like me, really like the restaurant. I would seem to be an outlier on the biscuits but I know biscuits and the Holy Southern Buttermilk Biscuit should be bursting with buttermilk flavor, not sweetness and I had to voice my opinion, even if it is different from many other reviews. I will leave with this, if you like your biscuits to be sweet, then maybe you should turn in your "Southern" card, cause you warn't raised right! That goes for cornbread too! But that's a whole 'nother story..... read more

Fabulous breakfast biscuits. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but seeing a line form outside just before they opened was exciting. I probably should have spit the meal with my friend but instead took the long slow approach and completely cleaned my plate. Highly recommend the place! read more

Not even close! Vicious Biscuit is the best thing I've eaten in the 16 years I've lived in the Lowcountry. 90% of this towns F&B is hype, so I rolled my eyes when yet another "Southern" restaurant popped up. And they make biscuits? Yawn. Boy - was I wrong. I wish I was thin, because these biscuits are absolutely amazing and I want to eat them every day. No hyperbole - It was an awakening. So far my favorite is the Vicious Biscuit. Nirvana with gravy. This is my new go to spot when out of town visitors show up. So glad I dropped in. In this case - Believe the hype!! read more

Love me some vicious. Great food in general and very nice staff. I'm taking off one star for the atmosphere. The place is too small for the business it now generates. It's a madhouse on weekends, so expect a line (which is fine for me; just keeping y'all informed). I do feel like the food suffers a bit when it's really busy. I definitely recommend going on a weekday if possible. The parking lot is also small and getting in and out of it on busy Coleman Blvd can be a pain. Definitely recommend a visit though! read more

Decided to try this place out one Saturday morning. It's been open for about 3 months. Clean and busy, the line was all the way to the door. Once you get to the counter you order your food, then find a table. They give you a number and they bring your food out when it's ready. I ordered the Bird and Belgium which is a sweet potato biscuit waffle with fried chicken breast, honey butter and apple pie jam. My nana order the old school breakfast. They biscuits are huge. They also have a butter and jam bar. The food was delicious. I can't wait until the one opens in Nexton so I don't have to drive so far. I will be returning to try something different. read more

Stopped in for brunch and was pleasantly surprised. Hubby has some food intolerances but was able to get the strawberry poppyseed salad and I tried the namesake biscuit "the vicious" and a coffee. The vicious biscuit was flavorful, sweet from the cowboy candy (candied jalapeños) and maple syrup but savory from the jalapeño cheddar biscuit and sausage gravy. It wasn't soggy at all and just plain delicious. All in all I didn't think I'd be able to finish even half of it but somehow pushed through and every bite was better than the last. read more

Food was good. Not too many non biscuit options but that was expected. The "Scotlyn" was fantastic! But $36 for two people for breakfast is obscene. $6 for a "large" OJ is insane, even if it is fresh squeezed by a machine. Hell, it's only $6 for a fresh squeezed OJ WITH vodka at Outback! I know the place is new and they're working the kinks out but at least put some creamer and syrup on the tables so we don't have to wait in line twice. Also, when it's crowded, you're gonna wait in line to order, then you get a number to put on your table. Problem is, some folks go ahead and send someone in to reserve a table even before they've ordered. So you're standing there after you've ordered and there's no table. Hopefully you don't have to stand up to eat. 3.5 stars for now. I'll try it again in a mknt read more

Vicious Biscuit - "Large", fresh squeezed OJ-$6 - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

We decided to try this place on a Sunday morning hopping the rain and Super Bowl would deter people from going. Nope! It was packed and the line to order was out the door. Thankfully I was able to get a table while my husband waited in line. I ordered the sea biscuit and my husband got the gravy train. My daughter got the kids yogurt bowl and we all shared a side of grits with cheese and potatoes. The sea biscuit was very good and just what I expected. The shrimp wasn't shrimpy tasting with a sweet chili mayo sauce drizzled over it. The purple cabbage was cut very thin and added just the right amount of crunch. My husband said his gravy train was a little sweet but that didn't stop him from eating it all. He really loves his biscuits and gravy. The yogurt for my daughter was very tart and it didn't help that the fruit was all tart. If your child doesn't like Greek yogurt, don't get that! The grits with cheese were really creamy and had a good amount of flavor. Definitely add the the cheese cause it was just so stringy and good! The potatoes weren't how I like them. They were just deep fried potatoes not much but a burnt fried potato taste. I also got a bloody marry which was good but I would have liked to have a brunch price instead of paying full price for it. Everything is order and the counter and self serve. The drinks and coffee are at the front with a bar of butter and jams. The waiters bring your food out and clear away your dishes. The hardest part was getting two coffees and two drinks to our table. Had to make two trips since there isn't a place to put everything down and rearrange. We will definitely be back since there were a couple of things I wanted to try as well. read more

I was skeptical about the new breakfast place in town with its lines out the door every day. We finally were up early enough to sneak in before the lines and gave it a shot. Oh man, where to begin! Can I just type "amazing" a whole bunch of times? Would that be a sufficient review? Ok, ok, ok, let me use my words and describe this AMAZING experience. SERVICE When my party and I first entered the bustling establishment, that had customers and servers mulling about everywhere along with a line all the way to the door, we totally expected to be waiting forever, NOT AT ALL. The line went very efficiently and the menu was nicely displayed and easy to follow making the ordering process seamless. The staff was also very helpful and didn't over complicate explanations. Very efficient. THANK YOU! We also got our food in a timely manner. I also really appreciated the manager taking time to come talk with us; it was really busy and I'm sure he had other responsibilities, but that short chat made a lasting impression. FOOD I just want to say I am not a biscuit had gravy kinda girl, it's just not my thing. However, this Vicious biscuit may have changed a girl's mind. The biscuit was just the right combination of sweet and savory all in a pillowing softness, with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. The gravy was thick and flavorful. The chicken was not overly breaded or seasoned so I made a great companion to the gravy. That along with my Carmel ice coffee; I believe I've been introduced to a little slice of heaven. This was my first visit and definitely won't be the last. If you're looking for some amazing, local goodness, visit Vicious Biscuit! read more

They've also got a butter bar; with different butters and jams that you can put on your biscuit.
