Being a local, I miss the Boulevard Diner, which used to be at this location. This is my first meal at the Vicious Biscuit. I felt like a tourist while standing in line outside with all the other tourists (PA, FL, VA, NC, MI to name a few) waiting to get in. There were about 30 people in front of us but we didn't wait more than 20 mins (Saturday morning about 10:45). I ordered the FAT BOY- biscuit with crispy fried chicken breast and pimento cheese, drizzled with local honey glaze. My husband had the biscuit with crab cake, egg and fried green tomato topped with hollandaise sauce and a side of home fries. We both drank coffee. I drink mine black and my husband uses almond milk - which they had. The food was delicious but portions are too big. Neither of us could eat all of our food (neither did anyone around us). The coffee was really very GOOD - big plus! The restaurant was pretty noisy but it's a small space. The staff was pretty good at clearing tables and the whole restaurant was clean! I usually go for healthier choices but I wanted to finally try this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. I gave it 5 stars because I rated it for what it is: a biscuit restaurant that serves good biscuits, is clean, has friendly and efficient staff and great coffee. Good job. read more

My first visit and this was great! Everything is on a biscuit. I ordered The Benny which was a crab cake, egg, fried green tomato on a biscuit. I'm not sure what the sauce was but it was delicious. The restaurant was also delicious and so was the Staff. read more

I'm always a little hesitant about restaurants that have a lot of hype but in this case there is a good reason for it. Just wow. I recently went to Nashville and didn't think I'd ever love a biscuit as much as I loved the ones there, but these ones were equally as good, dare I say maybe even better when combined with all of the sandwich toppings. I had the vicious biscuit with an egg, and my mom had the crab benny biscuit. The vicious was outstanding. The cowboy candy (jalepenos) were so delicious I'll probably dream about them forever, and the sausage gravy was some of the best I've ever had. I tried the crab cake and thought the cheddar biscuit was perfectly cheesy and complemented the crab and hollandaise flavors nicely. You'll probably run into a long line when you arrive but don't let that deter you. It's worth the wait! read more

My wife and I were staying in Mt. Pleasant for a couple of days and found this wonderful breakfast place on-line and decided to give it a try. Can I just say we weren't disappointed. The menu was different than most breakfast restaurants that I have been to, and everything right down to the coffee was delicious! Being a traditional breakfast food eater I ordered "The Old School Breakfast " and I loved it! It came with two eggs my way, a giant biscuit, two sausage patties and home fries. All perfectly prepared. My wife had "The Mater" and also ordered a side of grits with white cheddar cheese and she loved her choices. On top of great food and a fun atmosphere the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend this establishment! read more

Amazing! Don't be fooled by the line- it goes fast and is well worth it. The make fresh squeezed OJ - right in front of you in the neatest machine - my hubs wants one. The biscuits were huge and SO good. Don't miss this place when in Charleston. read more

Was told to go here by a friend of mine who visited Charleston a month prior to my trip. My husband and I stayed at a hotel (that i would not recommend) within walking distance from the V.B. We arrived at the location. around 0930 and saw there was a small line but still inside the store. Within 5 minutes of us being in line the line extended out the door. My husband grabbed an open seat while I ordered our food. Though very busy the service is quick, food delivered promptly and people are courteous and leave quickly so others are able to sit and eat their biscuits. My husband and I both ordered the fat boy. Yummy biscuit! Thoroughly enjoyed- only complaint was i asked for a cup of water(like a courtesy cup since my husband bought OJ and usually drinks water after his OJ is gone) and i was charged $2.50 for the water. For the price of the items purchased a free cup of water was warranted, but other than that everything was great!! Thank you for your response- when i am back in Charleston again i will definitely be by. Everything was awesome- please know the water issue would not deter me from coming back! i had awesome food and a wonderful experience read more

Best breakfast we have had yet. I would highly recommend. The eggs were cooked just right

Great biscuits, but it's what's on them that makes this place great. I got The Fat Boy, biscuit that comes with chicken and pimento cheese. It claims to have some heat, but it's the only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars. It needed more spice, but don't get me wrong, it was great. The chicken was awesome. I saw many other dishes as I was there that I want to try. Homemade with fresh tasting ingredients. Clean restaurant. It was very busy but run very efficiently so there was not a long wait and we didn't have a problem getting a table. I will be back read more

Disappointing! The biscuit was cold and stale, likely baked the day before. Texture and tasted more like a canned bisquit rather than the expected buttermilk biscuit. The grits were good but had lumps the size of peach pits. This was my third visit with similar experience each time. read more

Let me start by saying, I'm not a biscuit fan. Reason being, I don't like the dense heavy crumbly texture. These biscuits are far from that! They're massive, light, flaky, almost like a croissant. Then add this deliciousness of chicken, gravy, a little heat from the jalapeños, and the soft egg on top. Put it all together and you've got a flavor explosion! This place has it goin! The line was out the door, but moves quite quickly. I'll definitely be back! Great job vicious! read more

Here for 4 days, I tried as much food as I can. The Mt Pleasant location is nice you would think this is a franchise! After a quick google search, this place is local to SC and has grown VERY popular VERY fast. A place with a toppings bar for you biscuit, there is many things you can do. You can either get biscuit entrees or different types of biscuits a la carte. I guess the toppings bar is made for the a la carte biscuits, but there are no rules! Anyways, we split the Vicious biscuit, which is there cheddar & jalepeno biscuit with a piece of fried chicken breast on top. What separates this place from others is their signature maple sausage gravy for sure. I have NEVER tried a sweet biscuit gravy sauce until this moment. I am not sure what house cowboy candy is, but my guess it was the jalapeños in the sauce because they weren't too spicy but rather sweet. We also had a side of thick-cut bacon that weren't messing around! Their iced tea is also good- it comes with a souvenir cup with it. A must stop. We stopped here before visiting Boone Hall Plantation on Mt Pleasant. 8/10 read more

Amaaaaaazing! My mouth is watering just thinking about this experience. Vicious Biscuit holds a special place in my heart now. Where has this place been my entire life?! For a Saturday afternoon, the place was packed as you would expect. The line was out the door and wrapped around the corner, but we were sitting at the bar waiting on our food within 15 minutes. The ordering process here is your place your order at the register, get a number, take a seat, and they bring your food to you. The service was incredibly fast and each employee was really pleasant. I decided to build my own biscuit - added sausage, egg and cheese on the cheddar jalapeño biscuit and it was DELICIOUS. Add a small amount of honey for dipping and you're in heaven! The restaurant has a bar that has an assortment of different jams. I didn't try any of them but I heard many of the other customers raving about them. My friend ordered "The Vicious" which also received a 5 star rating. Overall summary: you need to try this place!! YUM YUM YUM. read more

I don't usually splurge on carb filled biscuits- especially when they're the size of your head, but this place is worth it. I'm still dreaming about that buttery soft biscuit and creamy sausage gravy. A MUST TRY!!! So I vacation around good food places. First time here in S.C and this place was AMAZING. So good came twice. The one time I didn't come and tried another place I quickly regretted. Had The Vicious Shrimp and Grits and The Crab Benny. The combination of flavors was amazing, the portions are generous and the restaurant itself looks great!... A must try if in the area for Breakfast! read more

Vicious Biscuit is the hot new brunch place in Mt P. They basically only do one thing--the eponymous biscuit--but they do it well (not literally, there are a few sundry other breakfast items but it's almost exclusively biscuits). Recently tried it for lunch on a weekday, which seems to be practically the only time you can expect to get a table. All of the biscuits are huge, and they have a really nice variety flavor combinations--think of like a breakfast scramble with your choice of protein and accoutrements on a big, fluffy, edible plate. I went with the Flame Thrower, which is an awesome sweet-savory-spicy mix of flavors that I would absolutely recommend! They also have a salad on the menu. Not sure why... It's only open for brunch/lunch and gets slammed on the weekends since it's the new thing in town right now but if you're looking for a hangover cure (and some hair of the dog), they've got what the doctor ordered. read more

You know the place is well liked when you arrive 10 minutes after they open and there is a line... Came here for breakfast biscuits to go for my wife and I. I had one with fried green tomatoes (The 'mater) and it was outstanding. My wife had "The Gravy Train" and she loved it. As I was sitting waiting for my to-go bag, I saw their Stone-ground Grits (add cheese), had to add that to my order, and glad I did, they were stellar!. Will definitely try to make it back here. read more

Well i arrived and the line was out the door. I read reviews saying it moved quickly so decided to wait it out. Took about twenty minutes to get to order and i opted for the flame thrower with an over medium egg. Came out about ten minutes later. Lots of great flavor and now needing a nap from being full. Was impressed how many people they move thru the line and i saw the manager going around providing good service. Will be back. read more

I come here often and it has never once disappointed. One of my favorite brunch spots in Mt. pleasant.

What an awesome place! I have enjoyed Biscuit Head in NC and the Maple Biscut Company in Savannah...nice to see one at home! What an amazing treat to eat. My biscuit was so great I just forgot about taking a picture...pimento cheese, chicken, egg and hot jelly...was so good I was going to slap somebody...but I was only close to the wife and kids so a mutiny with a beatdown would not set the day off right. Either way, the sweet potato biscuits were phenomenal and definitely worth multiple trips back to this establishment! read more

We stopped by opening weekend with four adults and two kids. The menu is very versatile as long as you like biscuits and we were all happy with the flavors and freshness of the ingredients. If you're not into bread, most the menu isn't going to be up your alley. The biscuits are soft and fluffy, the coffee wasn't watered down and the service was cheerful. I wasn't expecting counter service as the vehicle for this restaurant but it worked out fine since employees regularly walked around to see how things were. Parking was ample and there were plenty of high chairs for the kids! Kids menu had decent options too. read more

Excellent place!!! Delicious food, highly recommend anything on the menu. We came back twice during our stay in Charleston.

Come hungry! These biscuits are big, I mean cat head sized biscuits. They are light and fluffy and can be filled with anything. The fried chicken breast, any way eggs, thick cut bacon, FGT's (fried green tomatoes) and pimento cheese are just several of biscuit fillers available to choose from. The butter and jam bar has a great selection if you're just having a biscuit. Parents and kids alike can find a biscuit to suit them. If there is a line out the door, don't despair, it moves quickly and some in line are getting to go orders. This place doesn't disappoint. Enjoy. read more
