Stopped here while in the area and grabbed a peppermint white mocha and a regular white mocha. The peppermint mocha wasn't overly sweet and they nailed the kids temperature for me. The hubs got a regular white mocha and they just not have steamed a new thing of milk for his as it was the same temperature as mine even though he ordered it standard temperature. Service was quick and easy through the drive thru.
Greatful to find a place to get a matcha latte that also had several plant-based milk options. The person taking our order was super knowledgeable and helpful. The downside was that the matcha was already "sweetened", so not a Japanese matcha powder that makes a traditional matcha, but I wasn't feeling particularly picky about that. It was good, for what it was and I'd come back in a pinch. Bonus that that let me use my own cup.
Stopped in this afternoon for a coffee break. They have a nice selection of lunch options and treats. Plenty of outdoor seating, as well. Might have chosen to sit inside today, however, the music was quite loud. Food and drinks were delicious and served on/in real dishes, which is much appreciated!
Amazing, small/local coffee shop vibe! My wife and I are visiting from out of state and stumbled on this gem. Very quaint and unique, with a large tree almost engulfing the restaurant. The locals must love it as the line was wrapped around the building for drive through. Friendly staff. Delicious iced lattes!
What a great little spot in Mount Pleasant. You have the option to park and go inside to order or go through the drive-through. I opted to park and go inside. I was lucky and only had one person in front of me. There was an assortment of danishes and sandwiches that I could purchase. I opted for a grilled cheese and chai.both were awesome! I brought my husband home a coffee cake muffin and he loved it. I ate outside on the patio, which was very nice. There is a beautiful tree that I sat under. I also love that the utensils were reusable. Definitely will come again!
Dropped by Metto Coffee & Tea, and grabbed a smoothie and a sandwich. The smoothie was the matcha green option and my sandwich choice was tuna on sourdough. Both were decent. I also opted for the following pastries, peanut butter bar and raspberry thumbnail cookie. I enjoyed both. Customer service was warm and inviting. The vibe was welcoming and and a place to get work done if needed. Highly recommend!
On September 32, 2024, at approximately 0652 hours, I, Dante G., responded to Metto Coffee and Tea located at 354 West Coleman Boulevard, which is located in the jurisdiction of the town of Mt. Pleasant, county of Charleston, and state of South Carolina, in reference to a disturbance. Specifically, my sleep was disturbed to attend a class in Mt. Pleasant. Upon arrival, I parked in the small lot and walked up a shirt ramp, which sat next to a short set of stairs, and entered the business through the door located on the B-A corner of the structure. I was surprised at the change in the atmosphere outside to inside. The outside, shrouded in darkness, looked like any other shore town restaurant. Inside was a bright and inviting, upbeat cafe. I was initially greeted by a male white in a Metallica shirt. Quickly, though, a female white in a READ t-shirt took over the point of sale, which is located on the opposite side of the cafe from the entrance I used. I ordered a Spicy Ginger Latte, hot, and a Chai Doughnut. The doughnut, while small, was backed with an iverabundance of chai spice and was amazingly moist. A wonderful way to start the day. The spicy ginger latte was just the right temperature to drink immediately. It had a subtle ginger heat, not overpowering, but noticeable. It was at about this time that Justin K. arrived to assist. He ordered an iced latte, unknown specifics, and a bacon-egg-cheese on an everything bagel. He advised that it was as excellent a way to begin the day as the chai doughnut. The disturbance was de-escalated. No photographs. End of Report. Great seasonal coffee drinks! I really enjoyed the Spicy Ginger Latte, and I would order that again. The egg and cheese on gluten free bread was pretty good, as was the croissant. Overall, though, I'd come for the coffee more than the food.
I cannot believe I've never reviewed Metto despite the amount of times I've been here. A super busy spot with many people coming for their morning cuppa Joe & or to meet with friends. It's a hip & happening spot, with lots of bakery & sandwich choices. The art work on display is local and beautiful adding to the hip vibe of the place. The staff are super friendly and attentive, aiming to always please the customers. They have an outside deck area where you can bring your dogs and along with limited parking round the back. Their Drive Thru is definitely a hit with customers. Very busy.
Friendly staff. Just our opinions: Chia tea was good, but could use a little bit more spice for my husband's taste. Waiting in line wasn't as fast as we thought, but thats truly because the food quality is better, they actually made the food rather than just headed up frozen food like at Starbucks. So we didn't mind the wait. Lavender latte with oat milk was just as good as I hoped! We loved our food! Will definitely come back #SupportLocal
Went to this coffee shop while visiting Charleston. I really like how they have an ample amount of seating with plugs. There is also a fair amount of seating outside the coffee house. I ended up getting a large Pumpkin White Mocha to celebrate fall. I like how light it tasted. I really wish they would have done a design with the latte. The service was quick and it was really cool how they have a drive through as well.
We needed an afternoon caffeine fix, so we looked for a local, non-chain coffee shop. Metto is pretty easy to identify from the street. It is a standalone black/dark gray building on a corner lot. They seating indoors, seating on a nice deck and a drive-thru lane. The servers were friendly, and the coffee was really good. They have lots of coffee drink choices and a wide variety of flavors. We will definitely return for more. Metto is a 9/10 rating for me.
Great spot in Mt P. They take pride in their products, both baked goods and coffee. I got to chat with them a bit while my food was cooking. They source the beans themselves which is a great touch. They were happy to chat with me (I was there in between rushes so I'm sure that helped) and tell me about the business. Gave me a punch card to start filling up! The shop is super cute and cozy. Plenty of space to sit and talk and not cramped like a lot of coffee houses. I also adored their espresso machine. It was gorgeous! Everything is reasonably priced, and delicious! Will be coming back!
Saw the line of cars as I went by and decided to stop in. Coffee was quickly served and very very tasty . Got the hazelnut latte and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin . It was soooooo good! The pastries were hard to choose from , everything looked yummy read more

Metto is so good that I visited twice while visiting Mt. Pleasant for a long weekend! The first time it was storming, so we used the drive-thru. The second day, it was much nicer out, so we parked and went inside. I had a vanilla latte the first time, and a strawberry fields latte the second, and both were tasty! I also brought home a bunch of pastries, including their cranberry orange muffins, and everything was top-tier. read more

Hands down one of the best seasonal pumpkin white mochas I've ever had - got it with oat milk and found the flavor to be so perfect. I like that it didn't taste like syrup or wasn't overly saccharine. The mocha tasted like a hug in a cup. I tried some of my Dad's plain hot coffee, it was alright! The other winner was the baked goods - tried the blondie bar and the vegan metto muffin. The sugar on top added a nice crunch, the toasted almonds, and blueberries paired wonderfully together. Swift, friendly service. Can't wait to return for more seasonal stuff!! read more

Don't miss this adorable little breakfast spot! Incredibly gluten free and dairy free friendly with very knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices for sure and quick friendly service. Great coffees, yummy breakfast sandwiches etc. We found Metto on our last day in town but on our next trip we will be back multiple times I guarantee it. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the chicken Chipotle panini was. It came out quick and was served hot off the press. I also had a caramel latte that was great. I will say after sitting inside the coffee shop I felt like I smelled like grease or fryer so definitely recommended sitting outside at their lovely porch read more

Easily the best coffee we have had here in the Charleston area! Guiltily, I will admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob (being from Seattle) so I typically don't have high expectations for coffee when traveling. Metto coffee really surprised me (in a great way)! They had quite a bit of drink options, alternative milks, and flavorings. Several food options to choose from as well and all looked good! Some indoor seating and an outdoor patio with plenty of seating too. Also a drive through! I also want to say how great the staff were there. I always tend to order "unusual" or uncommon drinks, and they were more than happy to accommodate! We ordered: A 16oz (small) Cold Brew with a splash of cream, 1 pump of caramel syrup and 1 pump mocha. This is my go to order everywhere, and the cold brew here was very good! The cold brew is really what makes this drink good, and it was great! A 20oz (medium) iced honey latte with soy milk. This was delicious! The right amount of honey! If you're in the area looking for some good coffee, this is your place! We'll be back! read more

This is a great little find. There's a drive thru, seating outside and inside. The staff is attentive caring and great at what they do. Creative and standard coffee options. There's parking in the back if you feel like having a seat. Lots of options for vegan and gluten free as well as breakfast sandwiches. Substitutions for meat are available. Very cute and clean. Cute local coffee spot in Mount Pleasant. Love how they have the option for both dine in, take out and drive thru. Not very common for small coffee spots. Came by for a quick pick me up after strolling by the beach. Got to try their honey latte. It's definitely tasty but on the sweeter side. Both a caffeine and a sugar rush! Had an iced oatmilk vanilla latte. Very good. Flavor, body, intensity was all there. Also had a lemon crumb bar. Delicious. It was tangy, sweet, crumbly, and also a dash of salty. My husband had a hot almond milk latte. He said it was good. Service. Our lattes took about ten minutes to be given to us. The place itself is cute. Plenty of seating inside and outside, and pleasant music playing. My issue with it, apart from the fact our coffees took forever, was the cleanliness. My husband's mug had a lipstick stain on it. Tables weren't wiped down. The bathroom, however, was adequately clean. A big section of a wall seems to have been repaired and left unpainted. I'm hoping these small issues will be addressed, and I'd be happy to give this place another chance. read more

Amazing coffee house, with very unique options. It has an outside patio with plenty or sitting options for a couple or a group. Inside, is very simple and spacious. However, the great offering it has is the drive-thru that goes around the house. I loved how they found the way to do it. It has free parking and has a great service. read more

The exterior of this coffee shop is just beautiful. A big patio with plenty of space. Drive through, too. The pop tarts are so tasty. Their mocha is a little bit bitter for me but honestly still delicious. The menu has so many fun baked goods but you have to get there early before they run out! read more

So happy we stopped here on our way from the beach to our carriage ride! It was the perfect way to kick off the day. The hubs got a quad shot caramel latte and a blueberry lemon pop tart. I snuck a couple of bites of the pastry ... DELICIOUS! His coffee was smooth and very well made. I got a chai tea latte. It was fantastic! What was even better was enjoying them in the perfect spring weather on the porch and making friends with Theo the adorable puppy that was near by us. This place is on point!
