You have to order at a kiosk instead of with the people in the cafe, which wouldn't be a problem if the computer system had accurate information about the inventory. Multiple people ordered something and waited a while just to be told they were out of what they already ordered and paid for. If they're out of something, people should know right away, not 20-30 minutes after we ordered and have been waiting. I switched to the cookie butter latte after being told they were out of what I ordered. It was very bland in flavor. The cookie butter was just stuck to the side of the cup and not incorporated into the flavor of the drink.

This small coffee -breakfast place is pretty cute! Located on King Street and has a pretty palm leaves painting inside. They decorate it with some Christmas decor and look so cute! I came for an iced coffee and ordered their iced coffee gingerbread latte and pretty happy with my order. Will visit this place again next time.

Gross sugary syrup at the bottom of the banana bread matcha
Haley B.

Met up here with a friend and honestly I was sad regarding my drink, vibes, and lack of hospitality... We came on a Saturday afternoon around 12pm, they were slammed packed. The store is really really small so every table was full, people were standing around, and it was just really busy in there. As you're waiting for your drink you just feel like you're in the way. The whole set up is odd, they weren't taking orders at the register but instead had these kiosks you order from. The drink I wanted, a banana bread matcha wasn't on the kiosk menu so I had to flag someone down and ask how to order it. They told me to write it in the special requests section so I did. Whats so sad though, is they kinda are taking a loss because on their printed hanging menu the banana bread matcha is around $7.50 but on the kiosk because it wasn't listed it was like $5.25 instead, (just trying to let yall know so you don't miss out on $) But anyways I got lucky... because honestly I didn't even drink the entire matcha because it was EXTREMELY sweet. Like a gross sweetness level. In the photo attached you can see all the sugar left on the bottom. If I knew this place made them that sweet I'd ask for half sweet. I didn't bother to ask them to remake it because we waited about 10 minutes for our order and at the point we were just ready to go. So I just waited awhile until the ice melted so it was watered down. Not sure if it was just a bad day to visit there as maybe the staff were overwhelmed due to the busyness. I wanted to like it but honestly I didn't and wouldn't really come back due to everything stated above.

Dubai Espresso Latte Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish

I was excited about this new cafe on king street. The coffee is excellent and the food is very good. There is a lot of variety. The paint is the same as when it was cafecito, but the vibe is different with a young and trendy feel. I tried the Dubai Latte with Espresso (as opposed to Matcha) and I was super impressed. It tasted so good and was rich without being sickening or over sweet. I also had the strawberry cream cheese danish and I was super happy with it. I will definitely be back especially since there are a lot of fresh ideas for coffee here and the prices are very reasonable. It's a small cafe without a lot of hang out space, but it's good if you're on the go.

Small place with seating for maybe 10 people. Ordering was done through kiosk which was okay--you could put notes in the order. While the avo toast tasted good, for the price it was skimpy. Very small and maybe 1/4 to half an avocado between two small pieces of bread. Mocha tasted okay and it's nice I could customize as I wanted. For the price though, it's not worth it. $6 muffin was pretty large though.

Great coffee spot Downtown Charleston. Great staff and service. I had the drip coffee, butter croissant, and chocolate chip cookie. All of it was really good. Workers are real personable. Just a great coffee shop. Go by and give it a try.

Pistachio latte

Cutest little cafe with creative and fun drinks! They definitely lean on the sweeter side, so ask for less sweet if that's not your thing. I love how unique the options are. The pistachio latte was incredible! I'll definitely be back.

Xmas cookie butter latte

Sweet Palm has so many great drink options! I love the seasonal options that change throughout the year. I got the Xmas cookie butter latte that was so good. The shop itself is adorable and well decorated and has a great location right on King Street

Pistachio latte

This coffee shop was cute and close to the hotel and I did enjoy the pistachio latte. However the line was a little long and it was quite confusing as most people couldn't figure out the machine to order and only had one person making coffee.

5/5 Stars - Absolutely Incredible!…read more This spot is a total gem. We ordered a vanilla cinnamon iced latte, a cappuccino, a smoothie, a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and a strawberry pop-tart, and every single item was outstanding- gluten free options too!!! The breakfast sandwich was perfect--flavorful, fresh, and served on a perfectly toasted everything bagel. The strawberry pop-tart was unreal, an elevated treat, and the drinks hit the spot. The iced latte had just the right balance of vanilla and cinnamon without being overly sweet, the cappuccino was expertly crafted, and the smoothie was incredibly refreshing. Beyond the food, the vibe here is immaculate. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the background music is great, and the workers are exceptionally friendly. It's the perfect place to kickstart your morning. We will definitely be back!

It is much more casual than I thought, with some of the menu (like bowls and salads) already made and ready to grab from the fridge. So happy we ended up staying because everything was fantastic. We ordered at the counter, grabbed drinks from the fridge and found a table on the side, covered patio. Food was brought out super quickly and it was absolutely delicious. I got the St. Philip pita, which was incredible and almost tasted like a halal cart chicken sandwich in the best way. It was so filling and so good. It came with a really tasty side salad. My fiance got the BLT which was just as great. I can see this being a really ideal space to bring my laptop and get some work done if I lived in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a great, casual space for breakfast, lunch or coffees.

Lots of plants and gives a cozy small coffee shop vibe. Food: Got the avocado toast, whipped ricotta toast and iced vanilla latte. The iced vanilla latte was really good, smooth flavorful. The avocado toast was fresh and the lime wedge definitely brought a lot of flavor. The whipped ricotta was very tasty and was not too sweet but had some jam and pistachios on top. The ambiance was lovely and there was just enough room to snag a table and work for a bit while also taking moments to people watch. I asked the server for a coffee recommendation and was told that the honey whipped espresso or the peanut drink were very popular. I ordered the honey whipped espresso and a cappuccino and both were delicious. The espresso was severed over ice with whipped milk foam, and just enough honey to add flavor but not over power the coffee. And the cappuccino was a lovely standard as well. After sitting a bit, I ordered a ham and butter baguette. The bread was perfect- crunchy outside and soft inside and the ham and butter were tasty- a nice through back to something I would've eaten as a child, but elevated. Overall, great experience. Keep it up Babas!

We came for breakfast and started with the banana bread with Nutella cream cheese -- absolutely incredible. We also split the cornmeal pancakes, which were so good we came back the next morning just to have them again. I ordered the B.E.C. with the home fries, and I can honestly say they may have been the best potatoes I've ever had in any form. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the turkey club and said it was fantastic as well. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and memorable. We loved it so much we went back the very next day. 10/10 -- highly recommend if you're visiting Charleston!

He also had a meal removed from the bill - it was brought out Luke warm unfortunately. Overall food was good everyone was happy with their choices. Burger didn't come with fries but was big enough to fill up an 18 year old boy. Salad had a great sauce, was a little thrown off with the cold waffle but it's supposed to come like that server said. The avocado toast was so good but eggs were cold unfortunately. It didn't ruin the taste so still recommend. Visited on vacation but I would go back and try other plates.

The peach French toast is one of their specialties and it was super tasty. Had peach flavor and whipped cream and was a huge serving. The biscuit was a huge serving also and was definitely filling. Our waiter was super busy & at times hard to flag down. He did a nice job of refills for the kids, but when the food came out, we literally had zero napkins and zero utensils. That is basic stuff- I shouldn't have to flag down people for when getting seated. I ended up finding another waiter who was helping to bring out our food and asking him for napkins and cutlery. The beignets here are not what you expect- think super mini ones versus the classic ones you get from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans or other joints. We would have placed two orders of them except I knew the brunch plates would be big, and we wanted our kiddos to eat their meal before filling up on sweets. I got the Meeting plate- double portion of crab cakes on top of fried green tomatoes with grits and a huge buttermilk biscuit, where I didn't finish the biscuit and had one of our kids eat half of it. I was craving some fried green tomatoes but also wanted seafood so that worked out! My partner got the fried green tomatoes BLT and loved it. One of our kids got the chicken and waffles, another ate all of the fried chicken tenderloins, and our third really wanted buttermilk pancakes that were a hefty plate. No shortage of being hungry at this place! The food was good, but I would not say it was anything too different than any other brunch place-but for, the fried green tomatoes & other southern offerings like grits that you wouldn't get in other parts of the country. There are only two wash rooms, so there can be a wait especially when you have a long line of ladies waiting FYI. Prices are not too bad and standard for brunch so still an alternative when you are looking for fuel to fill up before doing your shopping on King's Street.

My husband found this spot last minute since it was just a short walk from our hotel. We arrived pretty close to the kitchen closing, and while they mentioned we could still order at the bar, our server, Miseal, graciously offered to seat us at a table and take care of us anyway. That level of hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. We kept it simple and shared the Octopus Salad and the Taleggio Pizza, and wow...every single bite was packed with flavor. The pizza, cooked in the wood-fired brick oven, had the perfect crispy yet chewy crust with rich, melty cheese. The octopus was tender, fresh, and beautifully balanced. It was honestly the best meal we had all weekend. I paired everything with a refreshing brut rose while my husband enjoyed a beer, and it couldn't have been a better way to end our Charleston trip. The atmosphere is stylish and lounge-like with a romantic feel...perfect for a date night or a relaxed evening after exploring the city. They gave us a table immediately, no problem. Our server was Maisie and she was wonderful. Patient. Attentive. Super friendly. We ordered drinks and the Pimento Cheese Fritters. They were incredible! We also tried the She Crab Bisque and it was over the top! Delicious and full of lump crab meat. When Maisie brought us our first plates, she asked us if we were considering the pork chop, which is exactly what we were interested in. She said there were only two left and held one for us. This is the kind of excellent service she provided throughout the meal. The pork chop was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a wonderful wood smoked flavor. And then the entrees - hubby got the shrimp and grits, that's usually my dish but I was glad he got it so I could taste. I got the fried chicken, with hoppin John over white rice, and collards. So good! And I wasn't even hungry but I had to test the "award winning" and "famous" labels on our dishes. The chicken is a huge serving - 4 pieces of juicy, tasty chicken - an entire quarter. The hoppin John was good - I just wish there were more hoppin John and less rice. Service was 5 star. Donte was a real treat and looked after us well. For dessert, I was hoping for bread pudding, but it wasn't on the menu, and everyone in the dining room was ordering the banana pudding so we got that to share. It is a large serving, enough for two. The presentation was cute, the taste was regular, and I didn't taste a hint of alcohol (it was a bourbon or some other alcohol).
