I was a little overwhelmed when we pulled up to Lodi, I totally missed that this is drive through only (even though it's very clearly written everywhere, lol)! But that didn't stop us from ordering. The menu is clearly written and there's time to make a choice, at least at the time we went. We've got to other drive through coffee shops and have been rushed, or scrambled to find a QR code to see the menu - Lodi was not the case! The options are also unique and flavorful, which is something we appreciate when trying a new coffee shop. The service was great, and it was easy to find. We love stopping at Lodi Coffee in Mount Pleasant -- it's one of our go-to coffee spots (not this specific location, but Lodi in general). The coffee is always great, and one thing that really stands out is their customer service. If they ever mess something up, they're quick to fix it without hesitation, which we really appreciate. It's all drive-through (no indoor space), but the line usually moves pretty fast, so you're not waiting forever. Plus, everyone working there is always so nice and friendly -- it makes the experience even better. They're also super dog-friendly. They always offer Luna a pup cup, which is such a cute touch -- we usually say no since dairy doesn't sit great on her tummy, but it's still thoughtful that they ask. I have been going to Lodi coffee since the North Charleston location opened. Our Mt. Pleasant location can be difficult to get in and out of, but it is so worth the fight of the traffic! Everybody here is so friendly. The food is great the coffee even greater everything on their menu is fantastic! My favorite is the massive turkey spinach croissant. For my free birthday coffee I decided to go with the eggnog espresso latte on ice. It is delicious and it's a flavor. I wish I could have all the time! Any time I can boast about a coffee shop that could kerfuffle Starbucks, I do. Why? Because coffee is a personal little luxury that SHOULD be affordable to everybody. Don't get me wrong, I love my daily Grande blonde roast, but my experience at Lodi was my usual coffee experience but ON STEROIDS. I read through previous reviews regarding iffy service, but I was the only car in the drive-thru, so I experienced only excellent customer service. I was asked before tendering payment if I wanted to enroll in their loyalty program, to which I answered 'Yes.' That means the barista intended to make my first purchase count. I am grateful for this. For $9.53, tax included, I received Lodi's medium-sized cup of piping hot regular drip coffee and one of the BIGGEST chocolate croissants I have ever seen, let alone eaten. If I'm correct, the Lodi medium-sized cup is the same size as the Grande cup at Starbucks. The pastry on the other hand was the size of a catcher's mitt. It trumps anything Starbucks offers both in terms of size and taste. My same order at Starbucks generally totals $7.66, tax included. For the difference of $1.87, I enjoyed an excellent cuppa and a ginormous pastry. More bang for the buck for sure. Would I go back? Yes. In a heartbeat. Next time, I'd like to try their turkey and Swiss croissant, but I will be prepared to share it because I suspect it will be similar to the chocolate croissant in size :-) Do I recommend it? 100%! read more

A second location for this Charleston institution, this one is a bit closer to downtown and the beaches. It is a pure drive-through, and it wasn't the fastest line ever, despite the fact that I arrived in the middle of the afternoon during a thunderstorm. And yes, the price is high (though this is a no-tip place). But when I got my mint flavored sweet cream tea, I remembered why I keep coming back to Lodi. Whatever distinctive seasonal flavored beverage you order, you are going to get the strongest, purest version of that flavor you could hope to expect. The mint, the cream, the tea, all wonderful flavors. And the sweet cream tea was a little less than their matcha beverages are. I think they could speed up the service and do a little better on their rewards program to make it easier to access, but the quality of the beverages is unimpeachable. read more

Loved my honey lavender latte! Came out nice and hot, and not too sweet. Delicious! You could really taste the flavors. There were a ton of cars at the drive thru, but this made me want to try it more since it was so popular. They have a QR code for the menu so you can browse before you order. I am SO glad I ended up at Lodi the other day. I tend to stick to my routines but boy am I glad I tried something new. I have gone almost everyday since a week ago! So far my favorite is the coconut cream cold brew or latte. Such fair pricing for the quality of the coffee. They move so fast there, it's nice that they have a qr scan to code before hand to look at the menu before you get up there, sometimes it doesn't work for me but the menu is large but easy to read and if you know what you are feeling because there are so many options it's easy to find something that you are feeling. I have gotten the coconut crème mocha and loved it- very sweet. I got their matcha - wasn't totally my fav matcha ever but pretty good. I love anything coconut so those are always up my alley. Don't let the location pass you by! LoDi (pronounced Low Die) is a fabulous secret. As soon as you round the building you're greeted with a HUGE BEAUTIFUL OVERWHELMING menu board!!!! At my second stop, I poured the mocha I ordered into my mug to top it off, then took a sip of what was left in the cup--and nearly sprayed it all over the post office parking lot. It was awful. After dropping my family member's mail, I headed back to the facility. Thankfully, the cream puff was delightful. Unfortunately, the coffee I'd poured in ruined my dark roast. I know what the server stated would be in the cup, but something went very wrong with execution. I've never had a problem with coffee from the North Charleston location. This is the second time I've had a fail with the drink at Mount Pleasant. Last time it was an iced beverage.
