We checked out this lovely cafe that recently opened up in North Mt. Pleasant. It's located on 17S in a yellow house opposite Big Bad Breakfast & Boone Hall Produce Stand. They have parking at the side of the building & round the back. The cafe is in the upstairs of the yellow house. It's really lovely & relaxing in here, ideal for catch up's and morning meetings. Peter Washington the owner made us so welcome & supplied us with great coffee. We didn't try any menu items. Next time we will. Love the fact that this cafe is family owned & operated. We will definitely return & enjoy some morning treats with our coffee. read more

Saturday morning coffee date with my son. Decided to check out the newly opened Washington Café and was pleasantly pleased! The owner, Peter, is kind and down to earth and really takes time to make his customers feel at home. The café is spacious and has a really great vibe. A family friendly atmosphere with the added touch of personal, family photos on the wall. Cultural artwork throughout the space as great tunes filled the air. They have a great selection of coffee, teas, and treats. I decided on a Dirty Chai and it was smooth and delicious. It was a great complement to the Strawberry Cornmeal cake. A must try. Cozy ambiance, great service, and seriously good drinks and treats! A great start to my weekend! read more

Both the coffee and the breakfast sandwich were delicious and the service was great! I loved having the opportunity to look at the art while I waited. As a certified coffee snob (and barista for 3 years), Washington KNOWS BALL. One of the best lattes I've ever had, Ethiopia sourced beans with no harsh bite, no acidity and almost no aftertaste!!! The environment is the most cozy in the area!! Peter is so passionate about his work and is such a kind soul. He supports local artists and it is the perfect place to study or work online. I recently visited this cute quaint coffee shop in Mt Pleasant. The ambiance was amazing! Decor top notch! And the service was professional and inviting. Did I mention the delicious coffee? As a lifelong coffee lover, I was excited to see another coffee house opening in the Lowcountry area of Mount Pleasant and Charleston. From the moment you walk through the door, the openness is striking, especially since many coffee houses can feel small or cramped. The layout is well thought out, with an ordering area that includes wall seating and barstools, and a separate common area with tables and a couch that gives a cozy, "at home" or visiting-a-friend feel. The overall vibe of The Washington Café is warm and inviting, from the friendly customer service to the décor choices and the standout artwork that meticulously adorns the walls. I ordered a hot latte and the strawberry cornmeal cake, which was perfectly baked, tasty and full of flavor, which I enjoyed while working from my computer. On my way out, I grabbed an iced coffee and some merch. The coffee is rich, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. It is a great spot to work, meet for a meeting, or simply enjoy a really good cup of coffee!
