Probably the best place that we ate while we were in town. The line can get long outside, but it goes quickly. Thankfully you can't hold tables so the turn around goes pretty quick. The biscuits are amazing. I got the mater which is pimiento cheese and fried green tomatoes. SO good. The owner came around the restaurant to make sure everything was good. I would go here again and again. read more

The biggest biscuits I have seen. I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast when I was in SC. The food did not disappoint. The serving was huge and everything was fresh. The coffee was great too! read more

Wow! I found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Be warned the food is quite heavy but soooo tasty. We over ordered to be able to try a few things and all of it was delicious. We all took the "tops" off our biscuits and they warmed up nicely the next day. If you're in the area I wouldn't miss a chance to check this spot out. read more

Went here twice during my family vacation. Biscuits are amazing, everything else was not bad, but average. Staff was friendly and hospitable. Don't get the oatmeal unless you like it bland, even the fruit barely helps sweeten it read more

Amazing!! Went in at 7:15 on a weekday and there were only two customers there. Perfect timing. Everyone working there was extremely helpful and friendly as I perused the menu to figure what I wanted. Ordered the Sea Biscuit and the Sweet Potato puppies. It took no more than five minutes for my food to arrive. I'll start with the puppies, which were delish with a perfectly paired dipping sauce. They were fried to perfection with a nice flavor. Only tried one bcz the Sea was calling!! The picture doesn't do it justice!! The Sea Biscuit was just as beautiful as it was tasty!! Shrimp and red cabbage on a biscuit, tossed in a Thai concoction equated to perfection. This biscuit must be eaten with a knife and fork. The shrimp were nice and crunchy on the outside and tender and sweet on the inside. The combination of cabbage, shrimp and cabbage was one that I would have never thought of, but it was AMAZING!! I ventured over to the "jam" bar to try some of the different jams and butter on the the top layer of the biscuit. I tried the peach jam, Apple jam, sweet potato butter and the cinnamon butter. My favorite was the peach jam with the sweet potato butter. I am anxiously awaiting my next visit, as there were so many menu options I'm still curious to taste. I will be back soon! FYI, I was finished by 8 am and a steady flow of traffic started around 7:45. So the earlier you go the better. read more

Wonderful meal, good selection of breakfast items to chose from. The food was delicious and the biscuits was big. There is always a line to get into the place to eat. read more

What an awesome breakfast place! I always heard people complain about the long line, but I've been twice now around 9/10 ish on a Saturday and have had no problems. Maybe a 15 minute before ordering and then you seat yourself with a table number and they bring it out to you. The service is great, they have a large and customizable menu, and the food is even better. I've had "The Vicious" and "The Fat Boy", and although both were delicious, I'd recommend "The Vicious" if it's your first time! You can also sub in a different biscuit flavor like sweet potatoe, pumpkin, etc. read more

Favorite breakfast place we've tried in Mt. P. I ordered the flame thrower (spicy, but not overwhelmingly so) and my boyfriend ordered the fat boy. So delicious. There's also a butter/jam bar. I tried the blackberry and peach jams on part of my biscuit and they were amazing. My boyfriend enjoyed the maple bourbon butter. read more

I didn't love this place but I didn't hate it either. I ordered 4 scrambled eggs and it looked like 2. I don't eat biscuits but they did look amazing. It's not a restaurant that they wait on you. I'm really fussy so if you don't mind that, you'd probably like it. read more

My God! There should be one of these in every corner of America! I mean come on how can you make breakfast great again? Biscuits and gravy man that's how! You know how biscuits need to have that dry / wet texture to it? Well this is spot on! I mean even when you're full you cannot stop eating! The portions the eggs any way you order them are perfect every time! The gravy omg! I wanted to order everything on the menu and take a bite of each! Well trained staff efficient and friendly. Looking into opening my own! hahaha read more

Best brunch by far! I was nervous about the long line but it went super quick !! Food was served hot and was absolutely delicious. Full of flavor! Perfect portions. Must try!! The Sweet puppies were sweet even without the chocolate dipping sauce ! We had to fight over who got the last one they were that good. I also loved the condiments bar complete with honey butter, strawberry jam and apple butter (to name a few). read more

Obviously, I had too try this place out with such an aggressive name starting with "Viscous" as the Headliner:) First off let me say this as a big tip...Goooo early in the morning and you and your Posse/Compadres or significant other's won't have a problem getting a seat and placing your order in! Tip #2...If your sweet-heart (Wifiepoo) is always Cold in restaurants, etc. she'd better take along a sweater. Word to this establishment:: please set the air conditioner at a comfortable setting:) Now, onto the food-n-service stuff..... If it's your first time here like it was ours then the staff Is Knowledgeable and kind to direct you to what's up on the menu. I got the tasty fresh vicious biscuit all for $10.00, no other sides were added like country Potatoes etc! I was extremely hungry so dived into my wife's plate. The biscuit was what really stoled the show....It was oh so fresh and airy!! The chicken was nice too but sadly just not enough gravy smothered about my plate. Highly recommend Checking out the homemade Jam n butter bar!! Yes I'd go back again to try more delicious plates!! Overall my experience wa read more

Everyone raves about this place but I was not a huge fan....I did not care for the sweet and salty of the biscuit that I got which I believe was the original one. It was okay but I probably wouldn't wait in a line for it. read more

The cream always rises to the top. Vicious Biscuit has a clear vision and intention of good food, quality coffee and booze and reasonably priced certainly bring the masses. You can see it a mile away, (the back of the line is a mile away lol) the servers are happy, they're friendly. Fast casual is really taken over the world. The line moves quickly so don't let it discourage you when you are driving up. I was by myself so I didn't want to order breakfast for two and bottle of Veuve for $95 but next visit Oh. hell. yeah. My breakfast of biscuits and gravy with an egg over easy made me happy. Can't wait to return. First stop Vicious Biscuits! read more

Staff was so friendly and helpful and the biscuits were HUGE! 4 instead of 5 stars because the butter and jam bar was pretty messy and some condiments were missing spoons. Also- everything looked phenomenal and my husband loved his biscuit (the Vicious). I got the Sea Biscuit- and it was a ton of slaw over a few shrimp. The shrimp were delicious but the slaw was overpowering- I recommend asking to sub the jalapeño cheddar biscuit for the regular if you order this one and add hot sauce read more

Awesome biscuits and friendly staff! Awesome service and it's an awesome environment! ! Would totally recommend it too any of the tourists

While planning our weekend getaway I looked for only real independent restaurants and Vicious Biscuit was a revelation! Perfect biscuits aren't easy to attain but they have mastered the craft. Come hungry there are no items on the menu you won't want but be warned there are no small portions. I was very sad that I didn't have 3 stomachs cause I wanted multiple items! Thanks VB you made the 7 hour drive worth it! read more

Vicious Biscuit - The Gravy Train with an egg over easy - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Super friendly staff! Had the Gravy Train and added 2 eggs over-easy in top; gravy is sweet, biscuits had a light brown shell and moist flaky inside, large chunks of sausage. Delicious! But, too much - I recommend asking for only 1 biscuit unless you're a college football player, I'd get a togo box but traveling on business so no place to put it. Great local spot for brunch / breakfast! read more

Super friendly staff, fresh squeezed oj, tasty coffee, and the biscuits were excellent so what more could I want? NOM, NOM, NOM! Seriously, do I need to say more? They have a pretty good variety of biscuits and I actually got the oatmeal bowl and a plain biscuit on the side. WOW. This place does biscuits right! I had the old school breakfast and my girlfriend had the vicious shortcake. The biscuits were soft inside, crunchy outside and had the perfect amount of flake. The bacon was meaty and the home fries were wonderfully crispy. I've always loved biscuits. I've had some great versions, but this one was tops. They even nailed the coffee, which was strong without being overly acidic. The restaurant was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. Management even comped us mimosas! I wish we had one back home. read more

My guilty pleasure! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is friendly, and on a nice day you can enjoy your meal outside. The biscuits are HUGE, light and Oh-So-Good. On a recent dining experience my friend had the Fat Boy and I had the Sea Biscuit. My friend didn't say much while she devoured the chicken biscuit (other than to wonder why there's not a Vicious Biscuit in Brevard?) I had to save half of my giant shrimp and red slaw biscuit to eat later, for my dinner. I like the contrast of the fried shrimp with the tangy slaw. This is so much more than just a biscuit place and it's locally owned. read more

A biscuit on steroids! The food is decadent and so good. The only knock is the place is very small so the wait can be very long.

This a such a Mt Pleasant gem if you are looking for a casual / fast breakfast, brunch and lunch. They have something for everyone (and not just biscuits), including gluten free and vegan options. I enjoyed their GF biscuit and keto bowl - both hit the spot and it was the perfect amount of food (with leftovers). We couldn't believe how much food you got for the price ... which is hard to find these days. We love the condiment bar - our favorites were the sweet potato butter and ghost pepper blackberry jam (banana jam coming in second). All of their speciality biscuits sounded delicious - my partner loved the ranchero style one with the fried avocado, another person in my group got the fried green tomato one with the bacon jam - wow ... the jam was great. They also have great coffee and grits! They mimosas looked intriguing as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Our food came out in about 10 min,. GF biscuits are limited daily, so make sure that you check prior to make sure that they are still available. read more

This place has the best fried chicken with biscuit I have ever tasted. I get the "vicious" and it has fried chicken, jalapeños, and sausage gravy. Seriously it's sooo delicious. My boyfriend got the crab cake one and that was also delicious. It's order at front and find seating style. The food comes out rather quickly even when they're busy. I love the look of the place as well. Very classy! I highly recommend checking this place out!! I'll be coming back plenty! read more

While my wife and I were visiting Mount Pleasant decided to stop here for breakfast . We each ordered a plate consisting of two eggs , bacon and a biscuit . I also had home fries and she had the grits . We waited 20 plus minutes for the food which when arrived was at best room temp . Not sure why when we waited so long . The food was ok , nothing special but temp could have been part of the reason . The bacon was rather greasy and on the sweet side, even tough that's not mentioned on the menu. In our opinion the biscuits were not anything special . Both of us thought they where rather greasy and salty .We did not notice any shortage of staff that could have been the cause any of these issues . read more

What a fun and totally unique place to eat! They have lots of interesting combinations and the good old fashion breakfast classics too! The staff was super friendly and the food was served quickly- we went on a Friday morning! My husband got "the flamethrower" which had jalapeños, cheese, chicken, and bacon. He loved it! I went with a little more of a traditional choice. I chose a plain biscuit, side of sausage, and the potatoes. The biscuits were soft and huge. The sausage was a little too sweet for me (but full disclosure I'm pregnant so it could have totally been me!) and the potatoes were awesome! The place has a good vibe, was clean, and a great place to either eat and go or eat and stay awhile. read more
