Second State, Second Home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quality coffee and great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Barista complimented my sweater, so extra brownie points for that!

One of my favorite coffee shops in Charleston! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thankful for the peaceful ambiance and quality espresso.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Baristas are always kind.

Top notch coffee in a new modern, chill setting. Second State has several franchises in Charleston and their beans are also used by several other coffee companies in the area. Safe to say they are one of the best coffee shops in Charleston. This new location is smaller than their others but very nice. Staff is excellent, kind and professional.

Blink and you'll miss it ... it's in the new Oyster Park development at Rifle Range and Ben Sawyer. New and bright, it's a perfect place to grab a quick cup of hot coffee or cold brew. As my visit was on the second day, it did not seem unusual that the bakery selections were few and limited to a few scones (and maybe something else that I do not recall) ... the grab and go was sparse ... and, there was neither any plant based sugar substitutes like Stevia, or sugar free syrup. I'd like to think that these items will fill in quickly. Cold brew comes in one size and I paid an up charge for almond milk ... oh, well. The shop opens in time for your morning commute and closes 3:00 PM (4:00 PM on Saturday.). Surprisingly, this location is closed on Sunday. In the heart of a growing apartment community (with an on site pool) it's a shame that residents have to drive down Coleman for their coffee or a cool drink. Wishing this new business much success ... welcome to the neighborhood!

Only went here cause I saw another Yelper post the latte art lol But had a vanilla latte and a brown sugar latte and both were so authentic and perfect tasting!! They only had whole milk (no skim) but that's prob why it tasted so good.

I finished receiving a blissful massage at the NOW massage studio next door and needed an afternoon pick-me-up where this coffee shop fulfilled that wish! The menu offers smoothies, espresso drinks, tea, wine + juice bottles for sale to-go, and offers some desserts too! There's plenty of seating indoors with some chairs outside too. The crew member was super friendly and made our drinks real quick. I got the cortado with whole milk and loved the espresso so much. My Dad got a regular coffee and tired a sip which had a good taste to it. I like the glass cup the cortado came in and the art looked like a heart which made me smile! There's also a spot where you can pour yourself some water so enjoyed a refreshing cup to balance out the energetic espresso bliss. I would recommend this coffee shop in a heartbeat! Also grateful they were open until 5PM vs 3PM, I love to support local coffee shops!

Just came to this location for the first time. I already know that I love second state coffee, so I tried the barista's recommendation: iced matcha peach tea latte. Selected oat milk. SO lovely! Very friendly service as well - great barista. And I REALLY like the aesthetic of this place!

Checking out the newest second state location!

The coffee was just ok. The wasn't anything that blew me away. I will probably go elsewhere next time or try something different.

A first visit here proved to be worth it. The maple latte was beyond what I expected in flavor. A true sipping experience.

Great coffee, really like their espresso. Easy to swing in and out in the morning. Smaller working environment but good if you get a spot!

OMG! How did I just discover this place?…read more We stopped by Mozzo Deli in Mount Pleasant for lunch on a Friday, expecting it to be busy, and it definitely was. It's located in a shopping center at the end of a strip of restaurants, so it looks pretty unassuming from the outside. There were about four people ahead of us in line, and it took around 10 minutes to place our order. After paying at the cashier, we found a table, and our food arrived about 10 minutes later, which felt reasonable for the lunch rush. The employee who brought our food confirmed our order and later checked back to see how everything was. The food was the highlight of the visit. The coleslaw was delicious, the tortellini salad was good, and my husband really enjoyed his Cuban sandwich. My burger (the rock), though, was one of the best I've ever had. It was incredibly juicy and flavorful, especially considering it was cooked on a griddle instead of a grill. Meals come with the main item, and you can order sides separately if you want them. The menu is extensive, with burgers, sandwiches, salads, build-your-own options, and even breakfast items. The only downside is that if you come during the lunch rush, you may have to wait for a table. Even so, the food made it well worth the visit, and I'd definitely go back for that burger.

Ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on croissant. It was delicious. Eggs were just right, as was bacon, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The croissant was flaky and buttery. The food was comforting in the best way, but with unique, elevated touches that made every dish feel intentional and memorable. The decor was relaxed. We heard good things about the burger so we had to order that. I loved how crispy the burgers were and the pickles and caramelized onions paired perfect with it. I followed recommendations and got a side of their garlic aioli for the fries. We also split the wellness salad which had avocado, spinach, celery, fennel, red onion, and cherry tomatoes with a miso dressing! I wish they had air conditioning because it was quite warm in there...also we ordered bread for the table and it didn't come until after our meal came. So we had them send it back. Still definitely a cute place to check out!
