Our trip to Charleston wouldn't be complete without having some southern biscuits. And wow, these were incredible biscuits y'all! The atmosphere was nice, and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed my fresh squeezed orange juice. My daughter had the strawberry shortcake biscuit and she was very satisfied. I had the Fat Boy (fried chicken) and an egg Benny on the side. My only constructive feedback would be to slightly reduce the amount of butter in the biscuits. read more

Absolute must if you're in the Charleston area! My favorite was the sweet potato waffle! The food was fresh and tasted as good as it looked! Don't let the long lines deter you, they move quick and the service is awesome! read more

Worth it! The line moves fast and after you finish eating at Vicious Biscuit, you'll remember the wait with nostalgia "if only I could go back in time and eat this for the first time again" Biscuits - Thick and fluffy. Great with their home prepared butter and jelly bar. "Fresh squeezed Orange juice" isn't just a marketing tag line here, you'll taste the tree grown freshness with every sweet sip! The flavor companions are Viciously delicious. Your taste buds will both want more and want a short break after each bite! There is a friendly exciting atmosphere with a few dogs, babies and kids. "That might have been a cat in the carry case, but I'm not 100 sure" - my wife If you add this to your restraints to visit list while in Charleston, you'll thank yourself. read more

Great place, with fantastic biscuit dishes. Nice, friendly workers, all with good attitudes. The long line goes quick, but well worth it for a great breakfast. Highly recommend read more

Biscuits are highly overrated. The service is even worse. I waited 25 minutes for 4 biscuits to go. Just biscuits!! I literally get ready faster than that, and Im a relatively high maintenance woman. I don't understand why biscuits take so long when they could have been thrown in a bag in 5 seconds. Charleston is filled with so many tastier and better managed restaurants. Do not come here. read more

We dropped by on a Sunday a couple of weekends ago. Although the line looked long (it was out the door), the tables turned over quickly, so the line moved quickly as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the large amount of outdoor seating! I went for The Vicious biscuit; I wanted to go with the namesake since it was my first time here, and it had some salty sweet elements. My biscuit definitely looked overdone, but the inside was still soft enough fortunately. The slight sweetness from the maple syrup drizzle and even the maple sausage gravy went well with the saltiness of the rest of the elements. I really liked that the biscuit was cheddar jalapeño. I easily cleared my plate! But I overall was not quite as blown away as I expected to be given all the amazing recommendations I have had for this place. I hope to come back and try a variety of options on the menu and update my review accordingly! read more

Finally gave vicious biscuit a try and it absolutely lived up to the hype! I got the silence of the hams and it was amazing. The buttermilk biscuit was perfect. A little crisp on the outside and soft and buttery in the middle. There was way more ham than I expected and they nailed the medium fried egg. My dad got the shrimp and grits (he's never tried it before, we're from California lol), and LOVED it. He said it was "very delectable and super flavorful". He's decided that he's obsessed with shrimp and grits from now on, even though I warned him not everyone does it as great as vicious. My mom got the half order of the gravy train which was drowned in gravy and sausage in the best way possible. This was my parents introduction to southern food a great way to get them hooked!! Glad we went on a Friday as well since I know the line is out the doors on weekends. read more

I guess I get the hype, but it's a crazy long wait when, in my opinion there are other biscuits in this town. There are a ton of options, both sweet and savory. Huge portions, tricky to find a place to sit when the line is out the door and same can go for parking at times. We always park out in the field. Anyway, it's not #1 on our list of must eat here again ASAP places, but we also won't deny an out-of-towner who wants to give it a try. read more

Great biscuits, amazing grits, can't think of a thing I would change. The Charleston location or Summerville are both top notch. Did I say awesome biscuits? Wow read more

Such a great place. I've tried half the menu and it's all delicious! Definitely gotta try the mimosas if you're of age. There's usually a line when I go but it moves fast enough. read more

What a treat spot. The only thing I miss about commuting to Mt Pleasant for work is the convenience of stopping in for a biscuit the size of my face. The fat boy is my standard go to - fried chicken, hot honey, and a mountain of pimento cheese. Will it kill me eventually? Perhaps. It's worth it. Lots of sandwich options depending on your mood. Flavors are on point on everything I've tried here. Sweet or savory? They've got it. They've got a decent selection of drinks to wash down your epic biscuit with as well. Inside and outside seating (though outside is fairly teeny and... in a parking lot). It's still great to have options! Prices super reasonable, especially considering the epic amount of food that you receive. Come hungry and you may still end up leaving with leftovers. read more

Oh, man, do I love Vicious Biscuit. I always get The 'Mater' because it never disappoints (that fried green tomato and pimento cheese, tho...), but they have a TON of amazing sounding options, and I've never heard any complaints about any of the food. They also offer booze options, which is great for a boozy brunch. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Inside the building has simple but slightly modern diner vibes. This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Charleston, and some of the best biscuits around. They have a bunch of fun flavored butters to try, which is a nice touch. I love getting my meal to go since the place is always packed on the weekends, which is when I go, and take my meal to the nearby beach. The biscuits are huge and very filling, so I always have leftovers. If you're looking for good brunch food, you can't go wrong with this spot. read more

Kinda disappointed by the meal I got was the pulled pork biscuit. I got this several months and was amazing! Today I order it again the pulled pork looked more like chopped brisket and was cold. Also the portion of meat was very small for $14.00. The bacon was only one piece and the candied jalapeño was one small sliver and was disgusting. I got a better portion of pulled pork for $6.95 from Bucee's Gas Station PS My meal did not even come close to the pictures on yelp!!!! read more

Fantastic food! Fast and clean. Great staff. Interesting and entertaining menu. Line was out the door but the service was quick.

This is the best biscuit you will ever have. Period. We split the seasonal Pumpkin Biscuit and were ooh-ing and ahh-ing over how delicious it was...then we bit into our entrees. The Buttermilk Biscuit was fluffy, warm and flavorful. It was like a soft pillow of delicious biscuit-y goodness--also, it was the biggest biscuit we've ever seen. The Flamethrower was equally as amazing and packed a spicy punch. Definitely lived up to the name! There is a parking lot, which makes getting to and from very easy. However, note that word has gotten out that their biscuits are unbelievable because this place is PACKED. Be prepared to wait a while, but trust us when we say it is worth it! The only piece of feedback we have is that they open up a few more registers to help the line move a little quicker. Overall, Vicious Biscuit is AMAZING and you will not be disappointed waiting for this biscuit! read more

So glad went here on last day in Charleston. I went to Summerville location on the way to 95 thinking it would be less busy than Mt Pleasant location. Def still busy at 9am but not crazy for a Saturday. Food came out so quickly even before the drinks! The biscuits are light and fluffy. The fried chicken was tender and moist. From other pics it looked like a smaller sandwich but I couldn't even finish. I took a couple bites home and still as delicious as when it came to the table. You can ask them for a small take out box. Do yourself a favor and eat here! read more

Super good! When I first arrived there was a line going out the door but it moved quickly enough. I ordered the shrimp and grits biscuit and a cold brew. The cold brew wasn't super strong but still decent, the food though, was amazing. I got a giant plate and thought there was no way I could finish it... 7 mins later I was done haha. It also wasn't super heavy so I didn't feel like I was dying but I also didn't have to eat the rest of the day. 10/10 would come here again! read more

Was heard on vacation and heard about this place from other guests at the resort, you know a place is good when there's a line to get in. But moved fairly quickly. I can't say enough good things about Vicious Biscuit. They are always busy (there's typically a line out the door), but the line moves quickly, and the food comes out fast once you've ordered. I haven't had a single bad thing there. The biscuits are the perfect blend of fluffy and buttery, with just the right amount of crunch on the outside. The chicken is perfectly friend, and I appreciate that they use chicken breast. The sauces are so good, and the homemade pimento cheese is to die for. The atmosphere is very lively, and perfect for a weekend brunch. I highly recommend trying out Vicious Biscuit if you're over that way. Heck, it's even worth a trip over the bridge into Mount Pleasant. I am so looking forward to the opening of the Summerville location though! read more

This was a very yummy breakfast! My friend and I got there around 11 AM on a Sunday and as I expected the line was almost out the door. Luckily, this place is set up like a fast casual joint so it was fairly quick to get to the front of the line and get our order in. A table turned over by the time we were ready to sit. Our food came out pretty quickly too. My friend got the Vicious Biscuit and I got the Fat Boy biscuit. Both were delicious but I liked the vicious better. The fat boy was good but a little dry. I got some butter from the butter bar to add to it to make it a little more moist. Overall though I was happy with both of them and would definitely go there again! read more

This place! What can I say! Everytime I think of it, I think of all the flavor goodness that I was able to experience. The self-named biscuit "Vicious Biscuit" is my absolute favorite. I've had the Flame Thrower and the Sausage Gravy Biscuit, but I always come back to the original. They serve Mimosas, and they have all sorts of flavored butter set up like a Butter Bar! Lol Gotta love it! They had me at Sweet Potato Butter! Yes please. I order an extra biscuit just for that butter. Love this place! read more

The search for gluten-free biscuits is never ending! I stumbled upon Vicious Biscuit while looking for gluten-free breakfast in the area. I was shocked! I order to-go and I could tell they were busy when I called. When I arrived I was so glad I did. The line was out the door on a Sunday morning. I ordered pimento cheese, bacon on a GF biscuit. It was to die for! Prepare yourself that this is a thick biscuit and a little hard to eat (even with a fork) while driving. Anyway...worth it! read more

We saw this place the other night driving by and said let's go for breakfast. We showed up on Saturday morning, and even with the line out the door we did not wait long! It was really just enough time to pull up the menu and decide what we wanted to eat. We had a couple of old school breakfasts in our group and the flame thrower. We also ordered the beignets. Everything was amazing. The biscuits are really the size of small mountains. With all the butter and jam selections we were able to cut the biscuits into thirds and try them all. By far the maple bourbon butter and blackberry jam were our faves!! The Flame Thrower was just the right heat for breakfast...candied jalapeños - lawd!!! So good!! The beignets were in a really delicious chocolate strawberry jam....yum! I topped my breakfast off with a Vi'mosa and that was tasty too! We will definitely stop in again and can't wait to try other things!! read more

Oh lawwwwd! This place is no joke. Come hungry because the portions are large. These biscuits are soft, decadent, filling, and absolutely delicious. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Anytime I have friends or family visiting, this is where I take them! Don't let the line out the door scare you. It goes quickly, there's always a seat available once you order, and it's well worth the wait. The only downside is their parking situation. That's an area you might struggle in but if you can find a spot, definitely go! And I recommend the ranchero biscuit. It's to die for! read more

Recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a supremely delicious biscuit meal. There are so many choices and every dish was good to great. Keep in mind these are VERY LARGE dishes so there's always potential to share. The servers get you what you need right away and get the tables bussed right away so you don't have to wait for a table. The restaurant was super busy the few times we drove by and the one time we went in to eat. But the wait time was not obscene and the food totally made it worth it. Don't know if I would chance it if I were in a rush though; I expect the order out option is just as good based on our experience dining in. Be careful of the one -way entry and people driving the wrong way. read more

During our vacation in Charleston, we agreed that this was the best thing we ate, no comparison. These were the best Biscuits I've ever eaten in my life. And I've had biscuits all over the world. We got the "vicious" and subbed for a buttermilk Biscuit. Every bite was intoxicating. The fried chicken was perfection. The gravy was luxurious. Holy crap it was all glorious. We also got a buttermilk biscuit and extra gravy, butters and jams. The apple pie butter was my favorite. I can't wait to go back to Charleston and hit this place up again. read more

Uncle, I can't eat another bite!!! The portion sizes here are very generous. The biscuits are the best I've ever had. And my favorite was the Sweet Puppies. Hah. All mine!!!! (Hubby isn't a fan of anything sweet potato). I ate them all and cleaned out the wonderful custard that goes with them. Hubby had The Hoppy. The country ham was great! I'm taking home the sweet potato biscuit because I'll burst if I eat another bite or go into a carb coma. The one thing that would have made it absolutely perfect and over the top is Apple Butter. No slam on the Apple pie jam which is good but not as good as real apple butter. But I take no points away for this because it is a preference only. So glad we stopped in and we'll be back the next time we are in Mt Pleasant from ATL. read more

We finally were able to come without battling a huge crowd of people. We had tried several times recently, but the line was out to the road! We went on a Wednesday a little before the lunch rush, so we only had to wait in line about 10 minutes. I got the viscous biscuit and Nick got whatever the spicy biscuit was. We also split a sweet potato biscuit bc I haven't had one in years and had to try it. All of it was delicious! They have a cute lil buffet of jams and butters and I wish I could have tried them all. I also got their fresh squeezed orange juice, that could be split between 2 people, it was so much! If we can ever get back their during a non busy time of day, we will!! read more
