Surprisingly good. Classic biscuit was 8/10 and they have a whole mini topping bar of butters, whips, and jellies for the biscuits. For a healthy option, the Keto Bowl was a 8.5/10...not sure if the spinach was organic (a dirty dozen vegetable). Great value though. Manager Tip: Route the servers carrying food for outdoor tables through the side doors when the line is busy.
Biscuits are always delicious! I stopped by for a morning pick me up and ordered the fat boy. It is one of my favorites on the menu. The biscuit was so butter and delicious and the fried chicken was amazing and the pimento cheese in this definitely the cherry on top!
This was my 4th visit to viscous biscuit while on vacation here they are EPIC. I've tried a few different kinds now and my favorite by far is the vicious biscuit with the fried chicken on a jalapeno cheddar biscuit with candied jalapeños and sausage biscuits and gravy sauce. It's EPIC!!! I'm sure I will be back again before my vacation is over with my big back!!
Viscous bisquit has a cool logo that I coined the term #CyberChef for because I work in cyber security and we use an application called CyberChef. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. The are many options for gluten intolerance and celiac. It is a good way food a cyber security analyst to start the morning. Vicious is consistently amazing!
Food - 5 stars! Service - 5 stars! Ambiance - 5 stars! First visit. We walked in and there was decent line but moved quickly. The kid at the counter was very nice and helpful. You place your order at the counter get your number, coffee cup for drip coffee, utensils, etc. Go make your coffee, soda or whatever (foo foo coffee, fresh squeezed OJ delivered to your table) and have a seat. Food came out fairly quickly for a busy morning and while eating a young lady stopped by to see if we needed anything else. The food is the ! Biscuits are so fresh and you have so many varieties of biscuit sandwich options. They have some lighter fare options along with GF. The coolest thing is the Jam & Butter bar...all kinds of compound butters and jams to try. Will definitely try them again if we are back in the area!!
Customer service is awesome!! Didn't get her name but I loved her patience and care when I placed my order. Many ways to have a biscuit. Various options besides bacon and sausage. I'm having a build your own breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice delicious!! Grits are absolutely creamy and flavorful. The pimento cheese add a great addition to the grits. Definitely will order this again
Yum! A well oiled machine. Packed but moves quickly. Some of the most affordable food around! They have a little self serve bar full of various butters and jams. So cute! Seemed like a lot of kids working there and boy were they on top of things and super friendly! Obviously well managed. The sweet puppies are the most decadent sweet potato fritters! Generous portions.
I'll start by saying I'm giving a four because I do feel like things could've been a tad bit better in areas. We arrived for a late breakfast and it was quite crowded, but we easily found parking stood in line for a few minutes. Looking at the menu. When we got to the counter, the young lady was very helpful in explaining the different biscuits and things available and also offered up opinions on the things we were looking for. We didn't get any of the coffees or juices, but we had the vicious biscuit. We did order the beignets to share. One of the kids had pancakes and bacon and I had a simple chicken biscuit with cowboy candy, which is basically sugared cooked down jalapeños. I feel like there could've been more cowboy candy on the biscuit cause it's quite large and there wasn't much to the cowboy candy. The biscuit is going to be either you like it or it's not your type of biscuit. I will say that, even though as thick as it was, it did not have a doughy thick center that I was expecting. The ambience in the restaurant is cute. You sit down with the number they bring your food out they have a flavored butter bar and a flavored jam jelly area there with it. Our food came out fresh and hot. My granddaughter wasn't a huge fan of the maple sausage gravy biscuit, I will add when I cut it up for her. The bottom was extremely hard. I had considered having it remade. My friend got the vicious biscuit and she said she would've liked to gotten more gravy maybe on the side. The beignets were fabulous with the strawberries and whipped cream. She wasn't a huge fan of what was supposed to be scrambled eggs with cheese. All in all we would revisit and we were happy to be able to experience it while in the area.
We visited Vicious Biscuit on our most recent trip to Charleston, SC. I was really looking forward to trying out the famous Southern-style biscuits. The first spot we landed on was Vicious Biscuit. I was surprised by how large the biscuits were. They were sturdy enough to hold the different types of jams and butter we put on them. Every bite of the biscuit had a nice balance of crunchy and savory. Their house-made jams and butter were the ideal complement to the biscuits. I would definitely come here again if I visited Charleston in the future.
For a chain biscuit joint, this place is pretty good!! You order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. They have a honey/butter spread bar which is super fun and you'll find some really choices there. The biscuits are done very well and so were the potatoes, I'd order again! The sweet tea was bad, unsure if the tank needed cleaned or if it was just the taste of it here.
If you're looking for a breakfast joint... look no further! Was browsing through different restaurants to try and decided on Viscious Biscuit due to proximity to the beach we were headed to but so thankful we came here! It was very casual and you order at the register, get a number, grab your utensils, and they bring your food out when its ready. They had outdoor seating, which was great since we had the dog with us. The menu was a bit overwhelming only because there are too many things I wanted to try. However I got the traditional breakfast mainly because I couldn't decide and I wanted to try all the butter and jams at the bar. I really loved the bourbon maple butter and the peach habenero jam...a lot of people seemed to like the blueberry ghost pepper jam because that was almost always empty. Biscuit was great...golden and crunchy on outside but soft on the inside. Bacon and eggs were very good. Potatoes were seasoned well and crispy on the outside. I got the cafe macchiato and thought it had strong coffee flavor but balanced well with sweetness. Husband got the Hen solo and he really enjoyed it...it was a lot of food! My absolute favorite part of the meal is the fresh squeezed orange juice. They have a machine that squeezes oranges and it tastes just like the one I got every morning at the resort when we were in the Bahamas. Highly recommended but go early because they get really busy...even for a weekday!
Such a stellar gluten free biscuit! They actually have a whole gluten free menu that is great. Kids menu has better than average choices sure to please little gourmands. Juicy chicken, yummy gravy, creamy grits, and fresh orange juice. Great delivery option as it travels well. Also cute counter order table spot. Great to recommend to your visitors too for a taste of the south that doesn't break the bank.
We had a little time to kill so we decided to drop by Vicious Biscuit before our flight home -- and I'm really glad we did... Both the crabcake benny and PB&J were really delicious. No wonder this place receives such high praise. The crabcake benny--at a whopping $14--is one of the most expensive breakfast biscuits on the menu. However, after one bite you'll realize why! read more

The answer is YES. The line is worth it.. go here.. do it. You won't regret the sunburn you get while waiting. Although the line is out the door, it moves relatively quickly and the food comes out quickly after you order. I came here on a Sunday afternoon around 11 (probably one of the busiest hours), it took about 50 minutes from line to getting our food... not terrible! And the food is amazing. I had the Vicious- fried chicken biscuit with hot honey on a cheddar jalepeno biscuit. Just delicious! My friends had the crabby and the Thai shrimp. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Yum. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Charleston. read more

Vicious Biscuit is a fairly new breakfast restaurant in Mt. Pleasant with various biscuits, sides and cocktail options. We had heard good things about it so my wife and I ventured out on a Sunday morning. We got there right when it opened and the line was already forming! We ordered The Vicious and The Gravy Train as well as a side order of grits. Wow. A lot of food! Go starving or just order less I guess? We finished one plate and 1/2 the grits it was so rich! I am a BIG fan of biscuits and gravy. Might be the best breakfast meal ever created. For some reason, this didn't 100% do it for me. The biscuits were slightly harder than I like (I like them soft and cloudy ok? LOL) The gravy was good but I think the jalapenos dominated the flavors a little to much on The Vicious. The Gravy Train was more up my alley with the classic flavors. Still, pretty rich though. The grits were way too thick unfortunately and not that flavorful, even with cheese on top. Wouldn't recommend them. Again, portions were fantastic but it was just SO rich and a lot going on. Would recommend it still as the location is cool and inviting and fun atmosphere with a lot of activity. Check it out but get there early for breakfast otherwise you're waiting 30 minutes! read more

Pretty cool menu with the biscuits. They also have a butter and jam bar! Lots of variety. I was pretty excited to see Peach Habanero and Blueberry Ghost pepper jams. Tried them both, and disappointed with the heat cmon man! Bring the heat if it says Habaneros or Ghost Peppers. Heat level 1 out of 10. Food was awesome and definitely get the pumpkin doughnuts read more

So this is the third time I've been here and the bird in the Belgium did not live up to expectation as it did the first time understandably so this place was packed and it looks like they were rushing but the food was good and that won't deter me from coming back. I was here yesterday and had a flame thrower and the big boy they were both good. read more

DON'T TOUCH MY BISCUITS BABY!!! FINALLY got to try this amazing establishment the other morning and WELL... WHOA! Amazing! I've had Callie's, and even biscuit head up in Greenville and I'm completely blown away by Vicious. I had the gluten free biscuits & gluten filled gravy. First of all, best GF biscuit I've EVER had.. Not kidding!! Second the gravy was BOMB Not to salty or "sausagey" but just right.. Oxymoron that I got a GF biscuit with gravy that for sure had gluten in it.. well Yes! But I was made aware of this by the manager and just in case I did have a food allergy she let me know about the gravy. I was aware, I don't have an allergy.. I'm just weird But anyway, in comparison to the other biscuits I've tried Vicious is definitely... all hands.. the best! So don't touch my biscuits baby! Mine, all mine! read more

Visited here in May 2022 from Boston. Came here 2 days in a row for Breakfast we enjoyed it so much. All Biscuit entrées were outstanding, but my favorites were The Flame Thrower & Shrimp and Grits. The Candied Bacon was a delicious side dish. Also a pleasant surprise to discover they served cocktails - which helped cure our hangovers after a 2-night run of Phish. read more

Hi Sawyer, thank you for the wonderful 5-star review! We’re thrilled…
Anyone who knows me knows that I am The Carb Queen. I love bread and biscuits. And this place has hands down the best biscuits. Sorry, Red Lobster, Vicious Biscuit truly has you beat. This was my husband's and my first stop in Charleston and we might have peaked right then. He had the egg benny and literally talked about it every day of the trip. I had a plain biscuit and sampled the different jellies and jams. Hot tip: there is a full-on jam and butter bar. Try it. They also have great drinks. The Bloody Mary was exceptional. Wonderful flavor and filled with an assortment of tasty snacks. They also have mimosas. It's a cute place inside. When we went midday, there weren't many people. Catch this place before it closes though at 3 o'clock! read more

5/5 We had the flame thrower and the vicious. Both were fantastic. The flame thrower was amazing and had just the perfect amount of spice! They recommended we get the plain biscuit too so we could sample their butter and jam bar. Don't miss this! read more
In general, I'm not a huge fan of biscuits. I know in the south, that's a sacreligious statement, but it's the truth. I don't dislike them, but I haven't had many that wow me and I'm often interested in another alternative. Especially when it comes to sandwiches because they just completely fall apart. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when Elise and I had a meeting down the street and decided to grab a late breakfast afterwards. The photos on Yelp and other social sites were enough to peak my interest alone so we decided to check out how vicious these biscuits really were. We walked in around 11am on a Thursday and I was surprised by how packed it was... don't you people have jobs? As you enter, you're immediately queued into a line where you can peruse the menu while you wait to order at the counter. There were only two people ahead and I needed more time to review this menu so I waived a few through. For the uninitiated, you've got your choice of one of the biscuit sandwich creations, some breakfast plates that are kind of like deconstructed versions of the sandwiches, or an a-la-cart ordering adventure where you singly pick and choose the items you need in your life. It makes the menu a little confusing at first because you want to read all the individual descriptions, but once you pick out your favorites, it's easy to become a seasoned vet. Then order, pay, grab your drink, find a table, and hit up the butter and jam bar where you can help yourself to an array of flavored spreads that are all made in house. After I sat down, I would say no less than two minutes passed before we had our sandwiches. Our biscuit-delivery-man said it's kinda their thing which is the kinda thing I can get into. Immediately, I knew this was no ordinary biscuit. It had a slightly different texture which made it less crumbly and it was a little wider to accommodate the sandwich nature of its existence. We both got the Flame Thrower stuffed with spicy fried chicken, bacon, cheese, and other tasty goodness. I was seriously impressed with this sandwich and it definitely made me a biscuit believer. I took the broken biscuit pieces and slathered them with peach jam and cinnamon butter. I did end up having to dive in with a fork and knife but more so because of my beard problems than the stability of the biscuit. If you're looking for a coma inducing breakfast (or lunch... they're open until 3pm daily) then look no further than this Coleman blvd biscuit shop. I would say they surely live up to their vicious monaker. read more

We stopped here for brunch last weekend. There was a line out the door but the wait time was reasonable and we were able to get a table outside. My husband had the sea biscuit and enjoyed it. The slaw was really colorful on top. He thought the fried shrimp could have been crispier. The biscuit was almost cake texture. He really liked the sauce and overall thought it was tasty. I had the big breakfast. The bacon was delicious! Potatoes were good. Scrambled eggs are what you would expect out of scrambled eggs, nothing special. The biscuit was huge and super buttery. The texture of these biscuits is definitely dense, not fluffy, but good. Unfortunately a table next to us was vaping and we could smell it as the wind was pulling it toward us, I wouldn't blame the business for this, just the rude people. read more

Biscuits & Beignets plus Candied Bacon. Yep a win all the way around. @viciousbiscuits in Mt Pleasant South Carolina. The biscuits and gravy were really good. They have some pretty avant-garde ones on their menu. Beignets were crispy and sumptuous with the sauce, whipped cream and strawberries. The candied bacon packed a punch with seasoning and fresh jalapeños. This is a greet breakfast place. read more

Found this place on yelp and could not wait to try it once we moved to SC. Went there this morning for breakfast and was not disappointed! We arrived around 930 and the parking lot was pretty full. We walked in and the place was more crowded than I expected for a Wednesday morning. I'll say this now, I only have ONE complaint. We brought our stroller in and how the ordering area is set up it makes it very difficult for people in the restaurant to get by without having to make people in line move. The woman at the cashier was very friendly as were all other staff we came into contact with. I went in knowing what I wanted because I always look up the menu in advance due to excitement. I ordered the flame thrower (jalapeño biscuit, fried chicken, jalapeños, bacon and some type of sauce) and a mimosa of course. We were given a number and chose our seat. The mimosa was brought to me right away. A lot of restaurants with mixed drinks like to skip out on the alcohol part but I could definitely taste the champagne in this one. Our food came out shortly after. The biscuits were huge! Definitely have to eat with a fork and knife. I took the top biscuit off and ate it first. It was crispy and delicious. The biscuit as a whole was fantastic. Not sure what the sauce was but I need some for my house. My husband got The Vicious and he also said it was amazing. Tables were a little close together but it is a popular place so I'm sure they want to be able to fit as many people in as they can. There was music playing but not too loud. Definitely recommend to anybody who has not gone here yet! read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a while because the pics on Insta/ Yelp had me actually drooling.. I went for a late lunch around 11 and the place was pretty packed for a Thursday morning. It took us a minute to decide because they have so many options, both sweet and savory! We ended up trying the Flamethrower, which has a cheddar jalapeño biscuit, fried chicken, cheddar cheese, spicy remoulade, bacon, and more jalapeños. Even though they were packed, we received our biscuits in no joke, about 2 minutes. It was unbelievable how fast it came out, with a stunning presentation to boot (we took plenty of pics) With the name, I was expecting it to be really spicy, but it was just the right amount of heat! The spicy remoulade was full of flavor and it was just a perfect combination. I left feeling full, but not too full! They also had a full bar of jams and butters we could sample and to quell the heat of the biscuit. The peach jam was delicious with the spicy biscuit. Overall, this is going to be my new hangover breakfast spot! $12 for a giant biscuit sandwich that'll cure my hangover is right in the sweet spot! read more

Thank you for coming in!
This place is amazing!! I couldn't even finish my breakfast! The biscuits are HUGE! The decor is so cute, however parking can be quite a pain as it's a tiny. And it's apparent this place is good when the parking lot is also full! I got the vicious which is a jalapeño cheddar biscuit with crispy fried chicken, maple drizzles and sausage gravy with jalapeños!! It was so delicious (see picture). My aunt got the biscuits and gravy and it came with 2 HUGE biscuits covered in maple sausage gravy. This place is a must stop if you are in mount pleasant it will not disappoint read more
So this might read more like a resume as opposed to a review. When y'all decide to open a branch in Philadelphia, I will help select the location. I will also quit my day job to manage that location. There is nothing up here that is able to properly emulate southern food. This would be the perfect addition to our ever sprawling city. I got the babe. Pulled pork, bacon, jalapeño on a biscuit with a horse radish sauce. The place looks managed like a military base. The line was out the door and into the parking lot when we got there. We waited maybe 10 minutes. The service was quick and effective. You place your order, get a number and pick your own table. Then the come find you. The food was spectacular and I left so full I didn't eat again until 8:00pm. It saddens me to think that I have no clue when I will be back. :(. That's where this plea comes from. I think this restaurant can heal the north south divide. Bridge the gap and create understanding. No one can make a goddamn biscuit up here. read more
