I finally had a chance to make it to vicious biscuit and it lived up to all of the hype, it was absolutely delicious. The line can be quite long on the weekend but don't let that scare you away, it moves pretty quickly and it's definitely worth the wait. There are a ton of different versions of biscuits you can have and a butter/jam bar (similar to a salsa bar) to load it up with. There are also gluten free biscuits available which is wonderful. This place is one of the best breakfast/brunches in Charleston! read more

Usually we go to the Vicious Biscuits located in Summerville but the Coleman location was closer to our hotel.... The food is always great at any location we go but the dine in experience here at this location was a way to inconvenient and very unorganized. Free-flow seating is annoying. People showed up holding tables while those of us who placed dine in orders had no where to sit... ice machine out of order... no coffee but it was brewed once we requested it. They did clean off tables once unoccupied so thumbs up for that! Back to the food!!! It was great! read more

Every time I'm here I enjoy my meal... and double perk, it's fun to bring people here. Little kids? Easy options, healthy eaters? Easy options. Want a drink? Easy options. I'm a fan because the food is good, it's southern (so it's fun to bring out of town guests), it's pretty quick and there are options for everyone. read more

After spending the morning at Fort Sumter, we were preparing to leave Charleston to head back home. Wanting to grab a bite before hitting the road, our friends insisted we stop at Vicious Biscuit before leaving Patriot's Point. MAN AM I GLAD WE DID. We arrived after the Sunday rush, around 2pm. You order at the counter and seat yourself, and we found a table for 5 with no problem. Our food came out quickly, starting with an order of beignets, which were probably the best I had, filled with cream served with a side of strawberries and whipped cream. My wife had the bennie, which was more or less an eggs Benedict. I, on the other hand picked out the Flame Thrower, which had fried chicken breast over candied bacon, topped with white cheddar and hot sauce, finished with some picked jalepenos. The Flame Thrower was so amazing, I could have cried. In fact, if we didn't have a 3 1/2 hour drive to make after the meal, I'd have ordered a second one and died gleefully on the couch at our friends house. Seriously, though. Go out of your way to eat here. Its worth any wait or hassle. 10/10 outstanding. read more

Vicious Biscuit - The Flame Thrower. Chicken breast over candied bacon, topped with jalepenos, white cheddar and hot sauce. Perfection. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Fantastic breakfast/brunch place! There are so many options to choose from to suit any craving/mood. The staff were all very friendly and they moved through orders quickly. The food came out pretty fast too even with how busy it was! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available too with a large parking lot. We ordered the Vicious Benny and the Fat Boy Biscuit. Both were very good! The Benny was a very large portion compared to standard Benedict's, with so much flavor! Highly recommend! read more

Food was amazing! Service with a smile. We'll be coming back when in the area. Had the signature Viscous.

Omg. The best biscuits I've had in a long time. Super moist and fluffy. I had the eggs Benedict biscuit. Im kind of a Benedict snob and this didn't disappoint. We also had the chicken and gravy biscuit. Super yummy gravy. Tender chicken. Service was quick and tables turned over quickly. Definitely worth the stop. read more

Greatly enjoyed our visit. Crazy busy with a line 10 plus deep out the door on a Sunday morning in January about 11:30 a.m. No big deal. Waited in line maybe 20-30 minutes and it was worth it. Serve yourself basic drip coffees, sodas, ice tea, water. Do it yourself butter/jam/honey condiment bar. You order at the counter, they give you a number and then bring out your food. Our food arrived maybe 5 minutes after we ordered and it was piping hot. Love that. I got the Viscious biscuit dish ($10) and absolutely loved it. I wanted another one actually. The cheddar jalepeno biscuit was light and fluffy, the chicken breast was fried just right and was so hot inside and really crispy, but the sausage gravy stole the show. Next time I'm just getting the biscuits and sausage gravy for 8 bucks and that includes 2 monster biscuits! The in-house drip coffee was excellent and you can even take a refill with you if you like. They also do lattes, cortados, etc and I believe they serve not only beers on tap (3 taps), but also some hard liquors. Basic Coke products on draft with only Diet Coke being offered as a diet choice. Of course they also have sweetened and unsweetened ice teas. I totally understand why this place was so crowded. There's parking out front, but it's tight...not super spacious, but really no big deal. You don't have to park on the street. Like 'merica, their WiFi is strong and free! read more

Wife and I were visiting the area over the weekend and foundd this gem in Mt. Pleasant not far from our hotel. Food was good, not sure it was great (my mom and grand mother made absolutely awsome biscuit). We order the Fat Boy (love pimento cheese) and The Animal Farm (not a fan of the bacon), both were good and would order the Fat Boy again. If you come on the weekend, be prepared to wait, however the line moved quick and we had no probably finding a table after we ordered. It's certainly worth trying out and I would visit again. read more

This place was nice.. small & quiet even though it was pretty busy. It is a seat yourself restaurant, we ordered at the counter and they gave us a little pole with a number on it to put at our table. While we waited for our food(maybe 10 minutes) we helped ourselves to the drink/sauce area, as well as our own utensils.the food was amazing, hot, and fresh! We did also try their beignets; if you love cinnamon you'll love these, if not it may be a bit strong. read more

A Biscuit A Day Keeps the CHS Doctor Away. Also, get their butters. Can never have enough butter. The butter bar is so fun and lots of options to try on the waffles. Great biscuits and gravy, the staff is great and I order online they are busy in the mornings.

I've been coming to Viscious Biscuit for a few years now and always loved it, especially the gluten free biscuits which were amazing. Last year they changed the recipe and the gf biscuits are awful. I was bummed but could handle it so we've been back and I get an omelette or oatmeal. Today however changed my mind completely. Our food came out COLD. Not just one plate but mine and my husbands. The sausage in my bowl was one step above frozen. We asked for them to remake which was hard for us bc we very rarely complain but it was inedible. Brought our dishes back out and my meal had fried chicken instead of the chicken sausage I ordered. My husbands meal was STILL cold...think over easy eggs that are COLD, disgusting. At this point I was tired of waiting bc btw, the food also took forever to get. Manager initially gave us a measly $5 gift card and refunded my meal after the second error bc I asked for it. I just got the feeling she really did not care, they have a line out the door, why should she? We won't be back nor will we recommend to our guests to the area. read more

I had higher hopes for this place. I've been to other biscuit places like this before and was hoping it would live up to my expectations. They have a big menu with a variety of biscuit types. I had the Flamethrower biscuit which was spicy and definitely felt like a heart attack waiting to happen. The presentation of the meal was nice. The Shrimp and Grits biscuit was just ok. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. We saw staff come over to other tables asking how the food was. Not once did they come over to us. Lots of staff sitting behind the counter talking and laughing and appearing to not be doing much. For as expensive the biscuits were I was hoping for a bit more. They did have a nice bar upfront where you can serve yourself with a variety of jellies and buttes. I have heard it does get busy here with a long line. I went on a weekday morning and no line at all. read more

Food is absolutely horrible. Because it was so bad we didn't go to the one in Summerville till almost a year after it opened. We have been to this one a second time & still was horrible. The one in Summerville is amazing & that we have 5 stars. Stay away from the one in mt. Pleasant. Couldn't believe how different they are being the same owners. The service was also just as bad in this location. read more

I have been reading about the "Vicious Biscuit" for a long time before visiting Charleston and was anxious to give it a try. Fortunately, it was in Mount Pleasant, not far from the hotel I was staying at. I went there on my first morning for breakfast and was certainly not disappointed. Perhaps, the only disappointment was the biscuits were so large, I could only eat one for a meal! I ordered the " Silence of the Hams" biscuit with smoked ham, white cheddar cheese and a scrambled egg. It was massive and very delicious! Once I took a bite of the biscuit, I knew what all the hype was about! They even offer a small "butter and jam bar" to add additional flavors to the biscuit if you desire! I wanted to go back to try additional items on the following days, but clearly ran out of time! Hope to be able to travel to Charleston again and give these delicious biscuits another try! read more

Im born and raised in CHS, spent 10 years working F&B across 5 different restaurants, and am completely fed up with the current charges that restaurants keep adding onto the bill. We've gone to VB since they opened. Ordered out during covid. But today, Mothers Day and also my birthday, it's pouring rain so we decide to take out. My wife makes the order on line and realizes that the biscuits we order are $4 and $5 more each as compared to when we eat there. Over 40+ percent surcharge. I'd have been inclined to have gone somewhere else cause, quite frankly, I just wanted a good meal, I wasn't looking to get screwed. Know there are costs for packaging take out, but not over 40 percent. By ordering takeout we're allowing the restaurant to maximize output on their limited seating foot print, not using the dish and glassware which costs for bussing and cleaning, and minimizing our vehicle presence in a limited parking footprint. Order out by loyal locals is what kept many restaurants open during covid. Come on VB, treat your customers better. Won't be going back, in store or online until pricing practices change. One thing I learned from growing up in CHS and my time in the restaurant business here, there are plenty of restaurants that want your business, and plenty of restaurant owners and managers that underestimate the importance of how they treat the locals. Who knows, maybe we'll get a Dairy Queen back on that property... read more

I love their counter service ordering, find a table after you order! Unfortunately, I ordered the Eggs Benny-biscuit/ham/poached egg/hollandaise sauce. Biscuit was yum! Ham was good. Eggs were not done, runny whites grossed me out. Hollandaise sauce was awful, I have never tasted a hollandaise sauce that tasted anything like this. The breakfast potatoes were ok, same thing you get at a hotel buffet bar, but they were at least hot. The others at the table gave 3 stars on their breakfast's. My husbands sausage was dehydrated to hell, and scrambled eggs were very overcooked. The reason we came here for breakfast was because my BIL, and nephew ate here the day before (after golf) and absolutely loved it, they must've been REALLY HUNGRY. OH, and it's super pricey for the quality of food. read more

Off day here this past Sunday! Went about an hour before closing. Had the Eggs Benny Biscuit and my wife had a chicken biscuit. Even the sodas tasted off. Disappointing experience this time. read more

Since moving to Charleston I have been on the hunt to find delicious biscuits, and oh did I finally find some when I tried Vicious Biscuit. Located off of Coleman Blvd and tucked away in a small parking lot, this place is easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for... well if you can somehow miss the line out of the building and busy parking lot that is! I placed an order to go for a ham, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich (Silence of the Hams) and was overwhelmed (in a good way) by the size of the biscuit and the sandwich! I blame the fact that I recently moved to Charleston and I am not used to the huge southern biscuits. Although I did a to-go order and only had a short interaction with the staff, the cashier I spoke with was friendly and got me my food quickly without making me feel like she was rushing me out of there. The line seemed to move pretty quickly and they had both indoor and covered outdoor seating available. I grabbed this sandwich before a road trip and luckily I wasn't driving so I could dig in while it was still hot! Also, after seeing the sandwich I don't think I would have been able to wait! I am looking forward to either doing take out again and trying more of their menu, or having the opportunity to sit down and grab breakfast there one day. I definitely recommend checking out this location and will be dreaming of their biscuits until I can go back! read more

A very causal but delightful lunch. An emphasis on biscuits as the name insists with practically anything with it.

Come Hungry, Leave Stuffed! Delicious humongous, show-stopping, fluffy biscuits in a variety of flavors (sweet potato, buttermilk, Jalapeno, etc.,) that are meals alone. We had the Flame Thrower: sit down somewhere Popeye's, THIS is a REAL chicken sandwich. Savory chicken breast nestled in a Jalapeno biscuit, with the bacon "crack." The Babe: pulled pork, BBQ sauce, candied bacon and a horseradish sauce, to cut the savory. Sea Biscuit: just think Bang Bang Shrimp biscuit. Shrimp and Grits: Blackened Shrimp atop of whitw Cheddar Grits and an open-faced biscuit. We had two Old School breakfasts, which are individual portions of home fries, eggs your way (we chose scrambled with cheese), choice of candied bacon or housemade Sage patties. We had both. We tasted the Sweet Potato biscuit, which is a tad sweet, especially when you slather the whipped cream, along with the housemade Jams (Blackberry, Peach, Strawberry....and others.) We ended, as IF we didn't gorge enough, with the Sweet Puppies, which are a hybrid of beignets and zeppoles. Definitely slather them with the whipped cream that accompanies=DIVINE. There's parking. Avoid the weekends or the wait is long. They moved swiftly, appx. 25 minutes wait to be seated. Eat at your own risks, consequences are unrelenting addiction! read more
