This place was great. We were here from out of town and this place was highly recommended. I had the Sea biscuit (I believe is the name). It was shrimp and coleslaw on a biscuit, drizzled with their sauce. It's was outstanding. Don't be discouraged by any long lines, they move very quickly. We had our food within 15 minutes, despite the line that was out of the door. It was a total of 9 of us and no one was disappointed with their food or drinks. My boyfriend had the shrimp and grits, which he loved. I would highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back whenever we are in town. The customer service was outstanding...true southern hospitality. read more

No doubt in my mind, the best breakfast I have ever had. I have been back a number of times and the meal is always consistent!

This place is a great find and I definitely recommend. We had the Benny Crab and the Sea Biscuits and splurged with the seasonal pumpkin with vanilla glaze. Everything was wonderful. read more

Large portions! Friendly staff my biscuit was great. The pimento cheese tasted good though I usually not a fan of it.

dude i've never felt closer to God on a sunday than i did at vicious biscuit this morning. and i went to church today. this was because of a new experience i had today trying the vicious shrimp & grits. i usually get the chicken egg & cheese but today i realized i was just a naive amateur biscuiteer. today i graduated & became biscuit queen as the heavenly flavors of my first bite of the vicious shrimp & grits hit my tastebuds. (side note: i recommend subbing the vicious gravy for the maple sausage gravy.) anyways, this was the best breakfast i've had to date & i believe everyone, women & men, young & old, come try for themselves. jesus himself spoke to me when he told me not to go to pages okra grill. because vicious. biscuit. read more

The jalapeno cheddar biscuits are incredible and reasonably priced, but the real treat here is the high quality coffee.

Oh man this place is a must. One bite and my eyes rolled into my head. It's such a freaking good bite. I got the classic sandwich and my SO got the crab Benny. Just incredible. All the flavors and textures just marry together so well. I loved it so much I ordered two biscuits to take home with me back to NY. Run, don't walk here! read more

I was so excited to try this place and I'd probably eat here again but I didn't think it deserves the stars it has. I got the breakfast with two eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit. My boyfriend ordered the Hoppy. My potatoes were burnt which I hate! The Hoppy looked really good but he said the ham was really salty. I tried a bite and couldn't believe how salty it was. I always add salt to things and this was crazy. I'm not sure if anyone tried the ham before prepping it for the day. The biscuit was pretty good, it was huge and had a really nice texture. The butter and jam bar was a nice touch but it was a mess and you couldn't read most of the labels and they were covered in jam. It didn't look like they have anyone checking it and cleaning it throughout the morning. The strawberry jam was really good. My only thought would be to put the butter at tables. I absolutely hate trying to spread cold butter on anything soft. It just made the biscuit crumble. read more

Vicious Biscuit - Two egg breakfast with burnt potatoes, bacon and a huge biscuit! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

We had a good experience at Vicious Biscuit. The staff was friendly and the food was good.

All three of my kids called it "Best breakfast ever!" They loved the biscuits so much, we are going back to buy by the dozen!! The food and service were truly amazing! read more

So good, quick service, unique choices. I like the environment. It's more of a diner feel, definitely a good place to stop in Sullivan's Island! The line can get long quick, but luckily it clears up fairly fast. read more

Not worth the hype. A copy of other much better establishments. Check out Biscuit Head in Asheville if you want the real deal. This is disappointing and way over priced. Not an original concept at all and not even copied well. Even certain menu items are almost directly copied. At least have some creativity. The food is ok but seriously overpriced. Glad we tried it but won't be back. read more

Food is generally good, but today the bacon was not cooked all the way and the service was terrible. I've recommended this place to a lot of my customers but today my experience was terrible and I won't be going in anymore. read more

The food was fantastic as was the service. Make sure you go hungry or just order biscuits and gravy to share!

I had the most delicious oatmeal I ever had. Lots of fruit & walnuts. Couldn't finish it. I tasted my wife's biscuits & gravy. It was outstanding. The large biscuits are light & sweet. She couldn't finish her breakfast. I understand there's always a line. It moves fairly quickly and is totally worth the wait. Definitely a go to place any time you're in the Charleston area. read more

Our new favorite!! The biscuits are huge and delicious and everything on the menu is worth eating!

I apologize for the criticism, but based on the reviews, we had much higher expectations. It could have been a one off, but potatoes were hard as a rock and over cooked. Bacon burnt and over cooked. We came in at 11, so it wasn't ideal breakfast time, which could explain this.biscuits and jam were really good. read more

You have to go here! Was not excited when I saw the line out front but it moved quickly and we have never waited more than 10 minutes. The food is uh-maz-ing. Get the sweet potato butter at the butter bar. I could eat it with a spoon. read more

A little bit overpriced but food is good. Building is pretty nice and clean. They have vegan options which is good too

So, my boyfriend and I decided (none too brightly, as we now see, or rather taste) to give the Vicious Biscuit a try for breakfast this morning. We arrive to find that they have you stand in line to order from their VERY LIMITED menu. Yes, we were aware that they specialized in biscuits, but most of their biscuits have the same 3-4 ingredients with very little difference between many dishes...except the one WE ordered-the Shrimp & Grits biscuit. I would've returned it, but we were starving (we shared this plate). Upon tasting the sauce I was not impressed with what they call their "in house Vicious gravy. Why? Because it was basically Campbell's Creamy Tomato Soup mixed with a glob or two of honey mustard and to top it off and make it completely inedible, they added what tastes like some Heinz 57. Now, maybe the sauce would taste good on a burger, or on a specialized meatloaf, or some ribs, but this, "sauce" has NO business being a biscuit, shrimp, or even grits. Do yourselves a mighty big favor, ask to sample their tomato soup, I mean their "vicious gravy." More like, "savage salad dressing." Probably would make a salad taste terrible too. Just a heads up. Great biscuits though!! read more

One of the greatest pieces of art that I have been able to witness (yes I've been to the Louvre). Every biscuit is as soft as a cloud when you bite into it. Have been multiple times and will continue to do so. Do your stomach a favor and treat it to a delicious vicious biscuit. read more

the food here is so good. I get the old school breakfast every time I come and love it. my one critique is that they give you very few eggs. they say it comes with two eggs but I don't think so. I would say serve less potatoes and more eggs. beware: these meals sneak up on you and FILL you up read more

Vicious Biscuit was a wonderful breakfast experience! This (the Vicious) was probably the best breakfast biscuit I've ever had. The biscuit itself was soft with a wonderful jalapeño and cheddar taste. Everything inside came together to create an amazing meal! read more

Not really sure why all the hype. It was ok? Mostly biscuit; not a lot of topping. Meh

I think about the Flamethrower at least once a week - it's amazing/perfect every time. Haven't explored the menu yet because it's just THAT GOOD - but I'm sure there are other fantastic options. Quick service and organized even though they're always really busy. I always look forward to my next visit. #bodybybiscuit read more

We visit Charleston every year and found this gem ! My husband loved! Very fast service and food is amazing !

Created a yelp account today for this moment. I wanted to express how delicious the biscuits are here. Ordered the Fat Boy with a side egg and it was just the right amount of food. So many flavors in a bite; one of the best brunches I have had in years. read more

We went here for the first time this morning. I was hesitant at first since it is located at the former Boulevard Diner. Those are big shoes to fill. We arrived at 8:15 and the line was out the door. You order at the register and are given a number to display at the table (seat yourself). The line moved quickly and would have moved faster but people were still undecided as to what they wanted to order when they arrived at the register (the menu is displayed on the back wall for all to see as you enter). We ordered The Bird and the Belgian, two Crab Benny's, seasonal fruit, and a buttermilk biscuit. The food was excellent and the portions were big. I could have definitely made two meals out of my Crab Benny but I ate the whole thing. It kept me full all day! The staff are friendly and engaging. The line was still out the door when we left. This will be a go to place for breakfast when family and friends visit me. Well done Vicious Biscuit! read more

The fat boy biscuit was pretty amazing. Make sure to grab extra napkins. Food came out quickly and staff was very friendly.

Finally made it to Vicious Biscuit yesterday and ordered the Sea Mate. So, so, so good. There was so much hype about this place I thought there was no way it could live-up to it. I was wrong. This place is awesome. Also shared the cinnamon cream cheese-filled biscuit with their vanilla, lavender whipped cream and it was lovely. read more

First time here. Amazing food and staff. Only problem is the customers who don't know how to shut the door and keep the air conditioning inside. Management needs to step up and fix this if they want a five star review. read more

These folks know what they're doing and the line is a good sign of that! The way the place is set up makes things move pretty quickly. You got options here. It took me a bit to decide on what to order because I wanted to hit the jam bar and sample the vast array of sweet and savory spreadables. Instead, I opted for the Flamethrower. I really can't resist some heat and this one delivered. The jalapeno cheddar biscuit and the beautifully spiced, perfectly fried chicken married spectacularly with the spicy whatever sauce they had on there. They should sell chicken by the bucket, for real it was good! I also lucked out as an IPA aficionado as they had a nice selection of local craft beers on tap. Almost forgot it was before noon when I ordered that beer but was glad I did because it played nicely with the afterburner effect of the "cowboy candy" on my sandwich. Had high expectations based on Charleston's great food rep and was not disappointed by the Vicious Biscuit. I hope to be back in the area again soon so I can try some of the other great looking options on the menu! read more

What an awesome spot. Being from Australia we had to try this whole biscuit concept. It's just like a scone but savoury. Light and fluffy and pairs soooo well with the crispy chicken and gravy. If you're looking for a southern staple that may sound out of your comfort zone give this place a try. read more

Amazing. I've been waiting for a crispy and delicious biscuit place to come to Mt. Pleasant and here it is! Such a great place to bring out of town guests or for just a lazy morning with family and friends. Line is long so prepare to wait! It's worth it! read more

We are in town for the holiday weekend and found this gem. We tried the "gravy train". Absolutely delicious! Looking forward to going back. Also i feel that their logo deserves an honorable mention. Loved the rolling pins instead of cross bones (pirate theme). read more

Great biscuit, a little pricy for what it is - but completely worth it. Definitely worth stopping by, especially for brunch. Make sure you go early, the wait gets pretty intense once the brunch crowd comes out. read more

Worst service of my life. The cashier girl, I believe her name was Tori, she was nothing but rude. Didn't take our order right, and forgot something. We then told the food runner we were missing something and they went and got it and the lady that brought that food was extremely rude also. I work in food and bev, so I know how it goes. If you forget something, you should just give it to them instead of charging them again AFTER THEY ALREADY PAID!!!! The other check was dropped off at the table (with out telling us we would be charged.) $24 on a breakfast for one person because these people don't know how to ring in food the correctThe grits were cold, bacon was cold, gravy and biscuit was cold. Everything was awful, and messed my stomach up. If you're looking for somewhere to eat with horrible service, this place should be your number one choice. read more

We found reviews that were favorable and decided to try it out. We were so impressed we ate breakfast there all three days we stayed in Mt. Pleasant. That is not something we ever do since we like variety. The food was/is fantastic, the service great and we'll be eating there again on our next visit (every day, no doubt). They have tons of menu items that take the normal biscuit and turn it into a meal to remember. read more

Try the vicious biscuit on the menu.... one of the best biscuit joints I have ever been too. Definitely worth a uber trip outside of charlston downtown. read more

Absolutely lives up to the hype. Soooo worth the wait. They definitely could benefit financially from switching to a table service type of establishment. We ordered drinks and didn't want to wait in line again to get another round. Besides that, they've got it all right! read more
