But they didn't have the appt in their store calendar and refused to serve us, stating that the printout confirming the appt at that store on that date and at that time was meaningless. Manager was completely non accommodating, stating that we could sit around for 2 or more hours and that MAYBE we would be helped at that time. We walked out and will never return. read more

It was the most horrible month of my life! I've ported my number from T-mobile to Verizon on Jul 28, 2020 ( Verizon had a promotion of $250 e-gift card if you bring your number & device) This was a cursed day or something, I think. Because this day everything began. At the beginning I had 2 numbers switched to the Verizon; mine & my husbands. My number took couple days to be ported, I was fine, calm and patient. My husband's number OMG took a month to be switched! I talked to numerous people in the store, on the phone, over the chat & website everything. But at the end, they found out that the device wasn't compatible with their service I didn't know it was that much hard to figure out. Then my friends ported their numbers under my account meanwhile I was still struggling with my husband's number to be activated. Okay this time, one of the agents online, placed my order for me but with wrong delivery option! I was like ughh, and I had to go to the nearest store to fix this issue! Thank goodness, the customer service agent, sorted out my issue like magic! I still really appreciate his help. While I was phoning, chatting with the customer representatives to get my husband's number activated, we went to Apple to purchase a brand new phone since his old phone is not working with Verizon. He changed his phone but the problem was still there. I was still fine, calm and patient. Then we received $199 bill for only 2 lines with one not working. And I phoned the customer service again, and asked if they could get me a credit since my husband couldn't use a single minute of his plan. Whoever was on the line helped me to lose my patience! She told me that it was impossible to do so because they did nothing wrong. Wow! What a brilliant answer! Then I left a very long message at Verizon's FB messenger. Fortunately, I was able to get help! Then I saw some issues with my friends' numbers, they (idk who) added an unknown number to my account plus one of the numbers changed their digits i.e it was ported like 1234 instead of 3412 (these numbers are just example). The next day, I called the customer service again, and tried to changed the number to its correct form plus cancel the unknown one from my account. But guess what, the person who worked on this task cancelled incorrect number instead! Oh my life! But now, I just learnt that I am not qualifying for the promotion they promised! What a surprise! I cannot be fine, calm and patient anymore! When I told Catherine that I don't want their services anymore, she says she is going to fulfill my request. This place is a joke! Almost no one here wants to help you or offer you their help! No intention to resolve your problem. What a shame! No customer service or care at all! I changed over to Verizon from TMobile via the phone with an agent on the general number. This agent failed to tell me about the port timing. She called the port center and immediately had them activate all 3 of my new lines. Julie is patient and just deals with the problem at hand. As a coaching opportunity I would like to point out that the person I spoke to initially, told me the system was down. And couldn't help me with any customer service and I would have to wait for the pet to be activated from the central office. Julie came out and fixed the problem in 5 mins. My wife and I came to the store to move her phone from AT&T and my phone from a company contract with Verizon to a personal plan. We asked for autopay to save $20 per month but they forgot put it into account. We already had some of the bonus TV channels that Verizon offers, which seemed to leave them quite confused. Although I told them that we already had, from Comcast, the Max portion of the Netflix/Max with ads bonus and our existing Netflix account was without ads, they added that "bonus" (at $10 per month) anyway. Even after 4 trips to the store (and many hours), 4 different clerks could not get Disney to work. Later, when I called Verizon directly, the technician told me that with Max being free from Comcast, we were paying too much and should drop the Verizon Netflix/Max bonus. Furthermore, the technician coordinated with Disney to get Disney/Hulu working. Bottom line, the store people appear to lack sufficient training to do more than sell and activate phones. If I have future problems with Verizon, I will not return to that store. read more

It's a shame that they keep stating that customer service at this location is very important to them but fail to provide any when you visit the store...I also left the same review at Verizon corporate regarding the store and naming the employees. The service here is horrendous. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for 8+ years. Love their service. No issues there. We were looking at reducing our high cell phone bill and wanted to see what our options were. We currently pay $350-$400 per month. We have three lines, one iPad and two Apple watches. We saw some pricing at T-Mobile that peaked our interest. Pretty much cutting our bill in half. Same unlimited plan. Most likely not the same service map of course, but good enough that it won't make a difference for my family given all the WiFi hotspots we can access at home and at the office. So no issues there. We aren't a family that survives solely on our phones so again for us no issue. We received the pricing from T-Mobile and then went over to Verizon just to see if there is/was anything they wanted to do to retain their customers. First their delivery of customer service was so poor I felt like they didn't really care if they retained us or not. Even their manager stated "We can't create magical pricing for you" which is extremely condescending. I came in to see if there was anything you can do. I came in there 50/50 on staying or leaving Verizon. Your tone, demeanor and lack of customer service and customer retention skills left me at leaving Verizon 100% as I left the store! Furthermore there was no effort made on their end to even attempt to look at the account and say "Ok Mac, let's look at your account to see what we can do, maybe there is service that you're not using, or let's see if there is a way we can look for anything that we can take off or modify" Nothing! No attempt whatsoever! Never have I experienced such blatant disrespect or disregard for a customer. Even if you can't do anything, the lip service here is so unbelievably bad that there is no point in visiting this store or speaking to these people! read more

WOW!!!! Sitting in this Verizon having wasted an hour so far. Assist Mgr Julie is the personification of what is wrong with people working in tech service in general. She is 100% no help and could care less. We placed an order for a phone to pick up "by 12/01". We arrived on 12/01 and where told our order was in pending/cancellation status. We received no notification of this and there is no reason or this. We did receive an email yesterday saying we had 2 days to pick up and received another this morning telling us we had one day to pick it up. We were told to call the 611 # and cancel the order and then replace it. We held for 38 minutes then got cut off 2 minutes after someone answered. We now have a 2nd Mgr who is actually providing customer service .....unlike Julie. Kevin is making the call and trying to resolve. 69 minutes in, 100% nothing accomplished .....more to come! At the 90 minute mark and Kevin has been extremely helpful, took care of some mistakes in our initial order and we are finalizing the process. Changed score to 3 from 1. Average of 1 for Julie who should not be working in any customer facing capacity & 5 for Kevin who was spectacular. read more

Worst Verizon store I've ever been too due to the manager and poorly trained staff. - told my husband he didn't have insurance on his phone and that he had to buy a new one when he lost it. Turns out he did have insurance and we had to go through all the trouble to get a replacement after throwing money in the garbage on a phone that couldn't be returned. - long wait times, staff not going in order to assist customers and then getting confused as to whose phone they were working on. - was not helped until my child began being disruptive in the store and then was treated like they couldn't wait to get us out. - manager is rude, unprofessional and unwilling to assist customers. Beware, the representatives in this store do not care and are not willing to help especially in us being a big business account and how important this issue was for us. I went to this Walnut Creek branch and was not being helped. I called the corporate Verizon office as I was instructed to if there were any issues in store. The on call representative instructed the in store representative about everything in verifying everything. But apparently the in store representative knows more than the main corporate offices, and kept contradicting each other. Super unprofessional and a waste of time. None of the in store representatives wore name tags but the women who "helped" us appeared to be the manager, she had huge fake eyelashes. :) unfortunately we will be switching to sprint now because of this experience. read more

Came here to see if I can upgrade my iPhone today. The 2 female employees looked up for a brief second and did not acknowledge us standing in front of them for at least a minute but actually conversing with each other instead. When I said, excuse me, I have a question, they actually turned their back against me and started to walk away. My boyfriend walked forward and asked again and one of the employees said with the most bored tone possible "how can I help you?" I went in to Verizon to try to start the process of getting myself a new phone. Both of my parents were very frustrated and were getting upset and raising their voices. The lady who was taken care of us lupita, was absolutely amazing. My parents were being pretty difficult and kind of acting like Karen's in my opinion and she was being so patient and kept her cool the entire time, which was hard for me to do to be honest. I just wanted to let this store now that their associates are quite amazing. I get how costumer service can be hard and they just did such an amazing job taking care of the situation in a very professional way. The next day Sidaf was wonderful helping me activate my phone. We encountered some difficulties with a representative on the phone, saying we needed to add a new line and blah blah and instead of giving up and going with what the representative was saying, she went the extra mile to figure it out so I could get my phone activated that day. I find going to any phone store a necessary evil and there are about 1 million things I'd rather be doing on any given day. However, my Blackberry (I know, I know-who even has a Blackberry anymore) was fading fast and I had to act quickly in order to have a phone for upcoming business trips. What I wished I had known beforehand is you can actually make an appointment here! Had I realized that I would have made my appointment, then gotten some lunch. Some dude walked in while I was waiting and asked for an appointment and was assigned a spot about 2 hours out. Cause, yeah, the wait is pretty horrendous on a weekend-especially if you have the misfortune to be behind someone who doesn't understand anything about phones or plans or how to be a person in general. Anyway, that all being said, I found the staff helpful, personable and non-judgemental over my battered Blackberry that I had on me (although they probably had a good laugh in the back room about it.) Long story short, with my upgrade offer I was able to walk out of there with an iPhone (albeit a 4, but all things considered, at least it gets me in to the 21st Century.) Another tip-they don't necessarily have everything out on the floor that is in stock. For example they didn't have the iPhone 4 on display but the girl helping me realized I didn't want to spend a ton of money and was really good about telling me about older models that she could get from the back. Nice job on her part because it wasn't all about making the sale but really listening to what I needed and how much I was willing to spend. I feel like I must write this review to warn others prior to stepping one foot into this store. My husband and I have been Verizon customers for many years and both use I-phones. We have always purchased our phones at the Apple Store and signed up for service there but decided to go directly to Verizon to both purchase new I phones and to upgrade our service. Big mistake... So, last week, we walked into the store on a Tuesday morning. After signing in and waiting for 50 minutes, we were greeted by Vikram, a sales representative. He was a very nice man, reviewed phone options and plan options. This took about one additional hour. Next, it came time to process and pay. He ran into a "glitch" and had to call in to customer service to help him fix his processing errors. This went on for over one hour. I had to leave and return due to picking up my son from school. When I returned, the issue still was not resolved. I left again and my husband returned at 6:30 pm. Finally, after a full day, we thought things were in place. A few days later...Surprise, he had overcharged us and had quoted us an incorrect monthly payment. A I had signed a contract which did not match what Verizon online was showing. So I made an appointment at the store one week later and they told me Vikram had quit. I then was given an appointment with Shirley. When I arrived for my 10:30 am appointment today with Shirley, there was no one greeting people at the door. Several people were waiting. I ended up being acknowledged at 10:50 then actually attended to at 11:00am. When I asked Shirley to please review my plan with me and the charges I should expect (and I had my paperwork with me), she did not look at the papers, tried to look online but said nothing was showing up and she could not help me and that I would need to call customer service as she was only a sales representative. Shirley was rude, unhelpful and cold. I told her if I provided this type of customer care at my job, I would not have a job. Absolutely terrible... There is a good ending to this story as I was able to reach a wonderful customer service representative over the phone, Jessica, based in South Carolina that was able to rectify the errors that were initially made by Vikram. Jessica was empathetic, intelligent, a good listener and returned potentially $960 over 2 years that would have incurred if left the way it was initially set up. In summary, I would stay far away this Verizon store until management can get new employees. Scary. read more

Is their Verizon's business practices to turn away clients here to switch over and purchase an iPhone? Another lady their told me I could wait for an hr. But yup, another bad experience with a retailer in Walnut Creek, sadly it was the second time I had a poor experience at the Verizon store - and it's supposed to be a Corporate store (but, I can't assume that that necessarily means better customer service or quality for that matter, in fact, I have had better customer service at non-corporate Verizon stores). With my most recent visit, I was merely inquiring about any specials they might be having on their Mobile Jetpacks, that's it. Comparison shopping. I was so rudely spoken to in a very quick and extremely curt manner, even when I giggled a little to just lighten the air, the guy (again didn't catch his name) just glared at me. He did explain about a rebate they had for their JetPack, and I inquired about e-waste and how to go about it. The reply (in a snotty tone) I received was 'I can just throw your current jetpack in the e-waste pile right now', that's when he called another employee and said, "if you need any help, you can call Lynne" - it was the strangest interaction, really. I honestly don't know why inquiring about specials or promos of their JetPacks resulted in such rudeness. Will I return to this store location? Doubt it. Their customer service is the absolute worst. Not nice, not polite, extremely condescending, judgmental and rude, and the reps don't even attempt at being nice, except for when customers initially walk in. read more

Employees just standing around the store. After walking in, we'll were told there was a wait time of 30+ mins for an agent. We walked around and came back and they still didn't have someone to help us. Our parking meter was up, so we had to add more money into it. Finally it was our turn and guess what THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE WHAT WE NEEDED (A PHONE)... JUST AFTER 2 minutes of receiving a text, (they sent us telling us they had an agent available) we walked through the doors and the agent was assisting someone else already. If you want good customer service experience, don't come here! I read all the bad ratings of this place and I agree with all of them. My wife and I came in here and wasted our time. They told us that there's one person ahead of us. There are three people assisting customers so we think it shouldn't be a long wait but after all three have finished, they all went out to the back door and spent 15 minutes out. I don't know if they were just taking a break or not but it would have been nice if they tell us. One person came out after 15 minutes and took one customer. Waited another 15 minutes before one came and helped us. I wouldn't mind waiting as long as we know so we can plan. If it's a 5 minutes wait or a half an hour wait so we have the option to not wait. read more
