Verizon was a destination to resolve a problem from my online attempt to "port" my iphone to Verizon from Xfinity. My attempt was "successful" re a text from Verizon. A phone call also from Verizon told me to wait for call on 1/2/25. Everything will be done. Time came. Nothing's working. Couldn't call since iPhone doesn't work. Came here for a Verizon slim chip to swap for my old chip. Online V. Never disclosed to me how i was to receive chip. Shop here says essentially "no can do". Not their issue/responsibility. Was told The person whose number i transferred to has to call V. to activate my iphone on their end. Luckily, there were no lines here. Associates friendly, courteous, efficient. Pointed me in the online direction. 3.5 stars for the above. Less for V. Online for not leaving clear precise instructions... read more

I have tried to change plans to another provider and am thoroughly disgusted with the hoops they have put me through. Getting a Transfer PIN has been impossible. Even the local Verizon store couldn't help. I somehow need to contact "corporate" which is impossible. I have asked recently if I was eligible for any discounts and was advised "none" are available. The minute I tried to get a transfer pin to change provider, I get two offers for a 25% discount. Disgusting company... I will advise as many as I can to switch carriers... read more

I had a wonderful experience at this store with a gentleman named Adrian ! I initially came to switch from at and t to Verizon and a young guy whom I was not impressed with gave me a price that was the same as my at and t carrier , I said thanks and I walked out. The next day I came back and Adrian helped me instead and I got a wonderful price and a new phone !! Walked in with some questions. Kennedy I believe that was her name, was extremely rude from the very beginning. Very unprofessional, I had to ask her myself if she can sell me a phone since my mine didn't work. She rolled her eyes and helped me with a very bad attitude. I truly don't understand why people work in customer service if they don't know how to provide a simple hello. Very disappointing visit. I needed to buy a phone, due to her actions I did not buy from there! read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally complain about my recent experience at the Verizon store in Union City, CA, which was extremely frustrating, time-consuming, and completely avoidable. On January 21, I purchased several phones from Verizon. After getting home, I realized that the iPhone I chose did not meet my needs due to the screen size. I returned to the store the following day to request a swap. At that time, I was informed that the exchange would be fine, but because we could not remember our Apple ID, we were advised to wait the standard 5-7 days per Apple's reset process and then return. After waiting the full 7 days and still being unable to reset the phone, I returned to the Union City Verizon store last Friday to resolve the issue. I spoke directly with Chris, the store manager, who assured me that he would take care of the situation and that there would be no problem swapping the phone. Based on his confidence and position, I trusted his guidance. Approximately 15 minutes later, Chris informed me that the phone was out of stock at Union City but that one was available at the San Leandro Verizon store. Acting on his direction, I drove over 25 minutes in traffic to San Leandro. Upon arrival, I was immediately told that no exchange could be completed without the Apple ID -- meaning the trip should never have been recommended in the first place. This was extremely frustrating, as this exact issue should have been known and clearly communicated by the Union City manager before sending me to another location. While still at the San Leandro store, I called the Union City location and spoke with Adriana, another manager, who confirmed that they would not have been able to help me either due to the Apple ID requirement. This directly contradicted what Chris told me earlier and confirmed that I was misinformed. The core issue here is not Apple's policy -- it is the lack of knowledge, communication, and accountability from management at the Union City store. A manager should understand and clearly explain company protocols before making promises to customers and sending them across cities unnecessarily. This is not the first time I have experienced poor service at the Union City location, but it is the most disappointing. Being given false assurance, wasting time, and leaving with no resolution is unacceptable customer service. This complaint is being escalated to Verizon Headquarters because the ongoing service failures at this location need to be addressed. I expect better training, clearer communication, and accountability from store leadership. read more

Bought a phone here IN STORE in November that I never received. Was assured it was a shipping issue and went back to receive my phone in store (which I wanted in the first place)... Have since been charged 1200 for the phantom phone that they have agreed is back in their position but have only gave me a 1200 account credit and NOT MY MONEY BACK! Staff is extremely unhelpful. Ordered online to pick up at the "24/7" lockers only to discover that the touchpad that you NEED for the process was broken and has been for a long time. Complete waste of time and gas, not to mention bad form in advertising a service that isn't functional. Times have changed and I write this as most Verizon stores have now succumbed to used car dealership tactics. I went in hoping to ditch the iPhone and go back to Samsung, boy was I wrong. Initially I was greeted by the employee and my info was taken to get the process going. He was a little short and rushed through and right from the top attempted to steer me in a whole different direction from what I initially wanted. He asked for what phone I wanted and went to the back to what I thought was grabbing my phone only to return 15 or so minutes later with a breakdown on how to open a new line and an alleged way to get a free phone. Of course going from 5 lines to 6 was out of the question, naturally I didn't budge. Again he goes to the back for another 15 minutes all the while i was standing off to the side not being spoken too or updated until another sales associate comes by and says they're waiting to "release" the phone and it took awhile because a new shipment just came in. On a Sunday?!? I was visibly frustrated and just said I'm an about 2 minutes away from leaving. The salesman comes back out and I explain that I still haven't talked about moving my wife's line to my smartwatch and turning in my phone for the upgrade. I'm told there was no promotion for what I wanted and that the best he can do is add another line for the discounted price. Why would I open a line just to get the phone I wanted and pay for an extra phone line. That would make the new phone not free as suggested. Maybe it's me but there shouldn't be a difference between buying online or going to a physical location. I would think services would be the same. Oh well I'll try online or call customer service on my own. Thanks for nothing. read more

I took my 76-year-old mother to the Verizon store in Fremont to purchase a Galaxy Watch 6, thinking I could use the trade-in value of her phone to pay off the remaining $400 owed. To my surprise, the staff was unhelpful and dismissive. The young lady who assisted us gave me a sarcastic look when I tried to explain the trade-in process and seemed entirely uninterested in helping. When I politely asked another worker for assistance, I was dismissed again, with another coworker backing up the poor attitude "She did nothing wrong." like he's the spokesperson for this lady. If it weren't for my mother's need for the fall detection feature on the watch, I would have left immediately. This experience mirrored multiple other negative reviews I've seen about this store. Verizon needs to seriously consider retraining their staff and management at this location. read more

Came here to activate an unlocked phone we bought directly from the seller. Chose this store because it's a corporate store. Corporate stores have more flexibility and are more inline with Verizon policies than an authorized retailer. It was a little busy here but we were seen pretty quickly. If I can give this company 0 stars I would've. I would even give them a NEGATIVE zero if it was possible. I just bought an iPhone 16 pro max with them and when i first set it up, immediately i started having data issues. Mind you they talked me into upgrading to the "best 5G worldwide" blah blah blah. I called them to let them know my phone does not work unless I'm connected to wifi. They said because they have too many customers in my "Home area" data is being rerouted from cell tower. So because their cell tower isn't strong enough for all their customers basically. but I can upgrade for an extra $20 a month. I explain, it's just not when I'm home, when I'm at work (different city) when I went on two vacations (different states) my phone would not work. I called to report and they advise me for $20 more they can give me more data. More data? When I'm already paying for unlimited? What's more than unlimited? Then I call to file a claim on my daughter's iPad, and insurance doesn't cover it because I have a bundle insurance with ALL my devices. So I can file a claim if I insured in individually but not if all devices is insured as a bundle. What a FREAKN headache and SCAM!!!!!! read more

First of all, I would like to start by saying that the manager, Teena, can be considered a manager who cares less about customer service and doesn't care about helping you at all, AND with an attitude on top of it. I came to this Authorized dealer because I was told I could get some documents with hard copies, due to an emergency I was having at that time, and as soon as Teena heard what I was requesting while I was talking to Cruz ( who works there and gave me a better treatment than the manager witnessed this incident) Teena stood up and said we CAN"T help you with that, AND soon as I told her that the Verizon Authorized dealer in Walnut Creek helped me with a lot more documents two weeks ago, she changed her tone, and that is really bad example coming from a manager. I recommend you to come to this store but if you see Teena walk away, BUT if you see CRUZ, he will take care of you. read more

Why was this store redesigned??? If this is the direction Verizon is going, it is a horrible retail model. I enjoyed the previous store setup and I won't be returning, for the above and the below reasons. Initially I came in to take a view of the Note 10+, I literally left BestBuy around the corner to see what the 'mothership' had as a setup. First things first I can't even lift the phone off the holder to touch it or hold it, the rep told me nowhere has it like that, what a lie !! Go to BestBuy, they have everything there as an interactive display for the entire Note 10 family, even the stylus you can play around with. The rep told me customers have sticky fingers hence they have to protect the phones. Advice for the rep, ask what type of phone the customer currently has and then you can tailor your sales pitch and pressurized speech from there. I'm coming from the Note family from Note 4 to 8, so I'm very familiar with how the technology has progressed and I've watched the Unpacked event. No where at all did this rep do any kind of discovery questions. (piss poor training probably). I'm going back to BestBuy now to purchase 3 phones and a watch, cause as soon as I told the rep, I didn't have anymore questions he automatically dropped me for the next guy coming through the door. Which was actually a door dash delivery for someone in the back, lol. #jokesalespeople Get your act together at this store Verizon. #unimpressed read more

We switched our service from AT&A to Verizon hoping to have better signal and services on 2/2024. My wife and I had to go back today to follow up with unexpected higher bill than previously agreed. Our experience today was unbelievable disappointing and upsetting. We told them about our concerns. Jovanneh and store manager were very unprofessional and very rude. Jovanned told us that "You can go back to AT&T if you want" and the store manager told us that they don't normally dealt with billing and told us to print the charges but didn't bother to return. I am glad that I didn't signed for newer phone and stuck with services for long time. I'm never going there again, wasted our time, about 2 hours. We went there to remove myself from one plan onto another plan. How simple it was it turned out to be, but not before a young male worker helped us and knew nothing, absolutely nothing. We did exactly what he said and to wait 15 minutes to kick in. Then he never came back to us. Then an older male asked if we were ok, I said "15 minutes have gone by". For what? There was no need to do what we first did. He then showed us another way. Then the both of them started talking among themselves and then the young male worker gave us the number to call for assistance. The place was getting ready to close and we didn't have time to buy a new phone. We eventually got what we needed, by using our phones to call for assistance while other employees were sitting around on their phones (did I mention the store was getting ready to close?) We left disgusted. Never going there again. read more

I stopped into Verizon to get a new phone for my wife last Friday the 2nd. We came in late like around 7:30 pm, they closed at 8:00 pm. I felt a little bad about that to be honest as I didn't anticipate the whole setup taking as long. We were going to be switching from T-Mobile trash cell service to Verizon as I craved having reception again. I ended up getting a phone as well along with my wife. Pamela was who helped us, she went above and beyond to make the process of buying a new phone and switching over also both easy and smooth for us. So far so good with our new phones. I had such a good experience with her, that I mentioned to my cousin, who was also unhappy with his provider, and wanted to switch. So I came with him the next day. I went here with my family on Saturday. I'm tempted to keep the rating the same (I really gave this place 3.5 stars last time), but I was more impressed with the associates in the past. After over a month, I finally bought a new cell phone (ladies, my number hasn't changed- my personality hasn't either, which might explain why I haven't heard from anyone yet). I, uh, accidentally put my old one in the washing machine for 10 minutes (it needed a shower after getting it on with a BlackBerry). I held it as it buzzed and vibrated while dying (tears cascaded down the walls of my soul). An associate named Israel helped me when I came in a month ago. He told me about the rice trick (I placed my cell phone in a bag of rice to dry it out, but it still didn't work- I was told about the water indicator on Saturday, and saw that it was almost completely red, meaning that the phone was truly fucked). Israel was quite friendly (he just seemed a bit bummed that I wasn't going to buy anything). I had to wait about 40 minutes on Saturday (I was told that the wait would be 30 minutes). I was only antsy because I was hungry. I actually expected the wait to be longer (there weren't many customers around, surprisingly, but there still should have been 1 more associate working). Parking was kind of an issue, but I knew that we weren't going to receive a ticket (we had no choice but to park at a green curb- you're not supposed to park for more than 20 minutes). The displays here were nicer in the past. There's now a TV, though, that serves as a display. A phone I looked at also started to talk me through things. I laughed later when a guy's girlfriend came in and promptly set off a phone's alarm (an associate finally silenced the phone after a minute). I wanted a basic phone, and so there were only 2 for me to choose from (this is what I bought- http://www.cellkraze.com/casio-g-zone-c781-ravine-2-verizon-cell-phone-p-3771.html?currency=USD). I ruled the other phone out because you can't record videos with it (you can take pictures, but it requires a few steps). It would be nice if my phone came with some free games, but that's okay. John was my associate. He was friendly, but I had to repeat myself a few times. He also wasn't very familiar with the phones I had to choose from (I had to tell him that the one I chose could record videos). He was also stubborn and dense (for example, I ruled out the other phone right away, but he still talked about it a bit more). I was going to make a purchase for sure (like my hookers, I was very "easy"). He made it more complicated than it needed to be. I could have received a bundle for free (there was a promotion). I know that it sounds crazy, but I didn't want it (I just didn't need any of the items). I tried not to be curt, but John kept bugging me about it. No means no (if John had been less stubborn, I would have left the store about 5 minutes before I did). After debating it for a moment, I handed my old phone over so that it can be donated to charity. 2 other associates impressed me more (I was hoping to get this hot Asian woman). A tall male associate especially seemed to know what he was doing. He answered questions and dealt with customers like a pro. The associate who greeted customers was friendly. He even chatted with an old woman for a few minutes (she was in a hurry, and so she didn't quite get the help she wanted). I had to sign for my purchase twice (it was fun signing on the digital pad). My name looked more crumpled up than a car that's been in a head-on collision. My total was $308.95 (I will get a $50 rebate in the mail). (I didn't realize that you had to pay local and state taxes- I was charged $28.96 in taxes alone.) I'm not sure what the $30 Upgrade Fee is about. I honestly didn't notice it until now. Anyway, despite everything, I saved $90 (my phone was $70 off). I'm surprised that I wasn't given a bag. My son Joshua was loud at times. When he began to babble, a woman in front of us turned around and laughed. "Hold on. I'm busy.": This one woman was using an iPad for over half an hour (I thought that she just came in to browse). She was finally brought to the counter (it took a while for her purchase to be rung up- at one point, she was asked what company name appears on her paychecks). LOL. The woman was visibly annoyed after she received a call. She had to pick someone up from the airport (the caller was probably waiting there for at least an hour). Either she didn't plan things well, or she was here much longer than she expected (I think it's the former, as she mainly acted like she had all the time in the world). I deleted it, but I was sent an email survey yesterday (I was asked to answer 2 questions). Anyway, although a recent review suggests otherwise, I think customer service is taken seriously here. I'm pleased overall. My new phone is cool, and I was only here for a little over an hour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ii4bEIPhJo read more

#108 I went into Verizon with my friend Chris today after leaving his chiropractic clinic. He needed to alert them that we would be traveling internationally next week and see what kind of deals they had for international calling via Verizon. As we sat and waited, they seemed overly busy with other customers. I kind of wish we had stopped either at Starbucks for coffee or the library to grab a book before we came here. The line was long and people kept streaming in steadily as we waited patiently for our turn. The security officer began yawning at one point, uncontrollably it seemed, and we started yawning too. Yawning is contagious. I felt like laughing every time we yawned after that security guard. Why does Verizon even have a security guard? At least we were entertaining ourselves as we waited. Finally, they called out, "Chris?" I was excited as the yawning contest had gotten a bit overwhelming. Vanessa helped us out. She was friendly, courteous and apologetic for the long wait. She helped Chris with every question he had, every need and every want. Fast and easy. Thanks Vanessa. The customer service was stupendous once we got called for our turn. When I need some Verizon assistance I will come here and pray that Vanessa is working to help me as efficiently as she did my friend Chris the chiropractor. Stephani Smiles for Verizon ;) read more

Verizon - waiting... - Mobile Phones Near Me - Union City, California

The past few times I've been here this year, service was slow, they weren't very helpful... At first I didn't know the manager has to sign you in in his iPad, he said he'll be right with me. He kept making phone calls, later I went up to him and asked if he'll help me, he said someone else will be with me in a minute. Thanks for the mixed signals. -__-. Yesterday we wanted to get an upgrade but they didn't have much variety of phones. I think Verizon corp wants customers to upgrade to smartphones, so we decided to go to Best Buys where they had more phones, free ones for my parents who don't really need all that smart phone shizz... If you want an upgrade, upgrade at another 3rd party where their prices and variety of phones are better. Only come to verizon store if you really need to and don't mind the stupid wait. FYI, most of the workers are salespeople, not really knowledgeable on the very complex problems with phone. Best bet is to call manufacturer. read more

This place is either hit or miss depending on who is working that day or shift. Came here during the week, pretty close to closing time and everyone and their mom was here trying to get a new phone or upgrade from their old phone. I had made an appointment at this location for 6pm, which didn't do any good because we ended up waiting about an hour and half, just so that they can tell us that the iPhone 6 was not in stock at this location but that we could order online. Why would I come to the store to buy the phone if I could have hair ordered it online? We asked if other locations near by had them and the associate was kind of enough to take her time and even get now many iPhone 6 they had in stock at that particular location. Great right? Wrong. The next day, we went to the locations where she said that they had them in stock and no one had them in stock! Not a single store. We ended up just going to the Apple Store for our iPhone 6 - with much better service and attention. Also Verizon employees forget to mention that there is a $35 dollar upgrade fee PER LINE, which made its appearance on our next months bill. We asked several times about an upgrade fee in which they confirmed with us that there wasn't a fee. Liars! Employees need to be trained better, get information straight and provide quicker service.
