Have always found getting DMV stuff done at this AAA office was easier than going to the DMV office here in Hayward. Had not been in a while and what a pleasant surprise to see the remodel of the Hayward AAA office! Went in to ask a question about my Personalized license plates to see how to remove and avert them for another car later. Going to apologize in advance as I have forgotten their names. But the first young man looked at the form I had filled out. Handed me another form I needed top fill out. At first, I was thinking I would have to go to the end of the line. But he assured me that once I filled out the form to return to the desk. Then as I finished, the nice lady next to him called out my name. Almost felt guilty going ahead of those waiting, but she took the form and gave me the replacement plates for my vehicle. Mission accomplished! I told her how pleased I was with them both and how lovely the office looked and flowed. I was happy to tell their Supervisor the same thing! They deserved praise! I will look forward to returning to the office next time I need DMV assistance!! read more

Came here to get my international driver's permit on a Wednesday a few weeks ago ahead of a trip abroad, and I was really impressed with the organization and professionalism of this place! Pros: - ample parking lot to make it easy to get stuff done - Efficient check-in process, like a well-oiled machine. I felt well taken care of by the front desk people, and they were really clear about the process and how long it would take. I was in and out in like 20 minutes - Free passport photos/IDP photos with AAA membership! Just make sure to bring your membership card - Sitting area has a lot of chairs so you aren't stuck standing around waiting - clean space - has a TV monitor in the waiting area that you can track your name for - Overall everyone I interacted with was really nice and professional - good air conditioning on a hot day if you're waiting longv Cons: - it looks like if you come for DMV services the wait could potentially be longer (I observed a lot of people still sitting there waiting even after I was done with my stuff). - I would say if you have a really common name, it can get confusing because when they call your name to go up to the worker's desks, it can be confusing which person they're calling if there's multiple people - just double check that it's the right category you're waiting for. read more

Went to obtain assistance with planning a 3500 mile trip to multi states. Mandy Howard was professional, efficient, and more than helpful in mapping out this huge trip! She immediately captured what we were trying to do, and provided us with TripTik maps, and pamphlet's. Because of her, our trip should be more pleasurable! Thank you Mandy!! If we vould give you a 10 star we would!!! read more

I walked in today to wrap up my Rush My Passport service. The director, MONIQUE, told me that she had never heard of the service. I showed her my email confirmation with the AAA logo and she stood firm on her statement with the rudest tone ever, repeating in an increasingly snide tone that she was the director and that in all of her 25 years, she had never heard of it. I told her that her tone was awful, that I was just trying to find out more information. and she kept at it, so I matched her energy and walked out telling her to fuck off. Not even a suggestion of where I could find an office that could help or someone to call. Absolute bitch. DO NOT GO IF YOU'RE BROWN SHE'LL HATE YOU FROM THE GET. read more

Love the AAA DMV experience. It comes free with a towing plan and is worth it if you enjoy buying cars or getting towed. I don't like getting towed but I do like the short DMV lines here. Its so nice - walking in here is like walking into paradise. Your surrounded by competent people who help you with your car registration problems. Love it. The building is currently undergoing some remodeling to further enhance your experience. I read that on a sign posted. Hard to imagine they could somehow improve perfection but lets see. I don't know about you but to me it feels like car buying season. I case you love older cars its a good idea to get a tow plan for peace of mind. Who knows what the previous owners did for maintenance. Who knows. read more

So Service requested wasn't able to get help that day because I didn't have the paperwork that I needed. The quality of the service was OK. The value was fine but the person that helped me her name was Mandy. She's a really awesome person. Great Customer Service gave my granddaughter some pages to color and some crayons that's was nice to keep my granddaughter busy . so I really wasn't able to get the service that I requested or need it for my handicap placard at that time so I'm gonna have to go back another day but I probably won't because it's just a hassle that I had to keep going back when it was not my mistake that was made, but it's OK. I looked over the paperwork. Everything looks fine. I guess I can deal with it and come back when my placard expires in October. i'm not upset. I'm more disappointed because I never had this problem before when I went to this office. Everything was in order and intact last time but maybe this time it wasn't but it's all good. read more

I love this place! Where do they find these employees? I went in for DMV services, and each time, they've been incredibly helpful and fast. The DMV itself was not helpful at all when I chatted with an agent, they even ended the chat before I was finished! How rude! Then I remembered I have a membership with AAA. I went in as a walk-in and was out in less than 15 minutes, even though there were some issues with my paperwork (FastTrak's problem, not theirs). So far, I've been there twice and have been helped most recently by Ayanna. She is knowledgeable, kind, and patient -- an absolute pleasure to work with! read more

Called AAA for a tow. Waited 4 hours for it to arrive. Totally unexceptable. Just terrible!!

I have no positive or negative feedback for this repair shop. Thomas is very helpful and provides feedback beyond his required job duty. However, there is no resolution to the problem with my vehicle. 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT 392. During a prior visit in May. They were able to determine some issues, and that was a great experience aside from the cost to repair being far outside of my budget. Which was basically some sensors and a system reset , and some other minor but expensive issues Compared to this visit, early in June. Which could be a combination of mechanical issues and indirectly related to the prior issues. The mechanical could be covered by a warranty that I have for the vehicle engine, transmission, and drivetrain. It was understood by myself and Thomas. The warranty company is highly selective on coverage of repairs. I have no disappointment in customer service. However, I am confused about how the repair facility couldn't find anything mechanically wrong on a 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 with 91,000 miles, which the warranty company would cover. On any slightly different circumstance, most repair shops would find at least a full page or maybe even 2 pages of mechanical problems that would be covered by a 3rd party warranty company, given its a customer and vehicle without such a warranty. Paying out of pocket, which equals no hassle with a 3rd party warranty company and 100% profits. I'm not knocking that. It's a business and they need to make money. However, it leaves me to question motives about the findings or rather lack of findings. However, they did not provide poor service. However, maybe a very professional way to say we don't want to be bothered with this, delivered in a very strategic, professionally courteous manner. Had I been a customer with wealthy pockets and the ability to pay for any problem found. While also paying out of my own pocket. With no 3rd party warranty. I believe they would have found a problem along the lines of a repair needed and within coverage guidelines of the warranty company. Hypothetically, if there was no warranty company to have an unwanted hassle with read more

Very poor customer service. We waited for a long time to be helped with an insurance service we came in for, only to watch Nargis, the agent, skip the line and take someone who wasn't even waiting ahead of us. There was no explanation or acknowledgment of the wait. The entire process was disorganized and unfair, showing no respect for customers' time. We ended up having to leave without receiving any help. A complete waste of time and a very frustrating experience. I would have given this location a better rating, but I honestly can't based on what happened. I hope my next visit is better. read more

Fortunate to have this AAA location nearby as I was able to take my passport photo here within 10 minutes on a weekday afternoon. No appointment is needed, walk-ins are welcome. I was greeted by friendly service as soon as I walked in and was guided to the back to take my photo. You get two photos printed (in case you lose one or it gets ruined). They ensure the sizes meet the requirements. Prices have gone up over the years, this is the latest pricing for passport photos. If you are a AAA member, it will cost $9.00 + tax = $9.97 (children in the same household as the member qualify for the same price). For non-AAA members, it's $20. This location has friendly service, it's quick and convenient, and there is plenty of parking around the building. read more

Worst customer service. Told me when I got to the office that they couldn't do a car inspection that I scheduled way in advance because it was raining. They didn't even call me or leave a message to tell me not to waste my time coming in. Never going back here again. read more

Great customer service Did you know you can get the passport photo at AAA Fast and convenient no waist and no appointments needed Walked right in, pay, and snap your mug shot and done within 5 minutes They do open on mondays as it was indicated closed on Yelp :( . My visit today to this AAA office for DMV services went very smoothly (it is so convenient that they provide this service which beats the long lines and wait at any DMV office). Nadine took great care in making sure that the registration renewal process was very smooth, and she also helped direct me to where I could get my smog check done, providing detailed directions. Thanks Nadine for a job so well done! read more

AAA is horrible, the customer reps all lie. They literally said they can send a email to request something and after I asked if they could do that because my rep hasn't been helpful n this is why, the entire story changed to I have to wait. They do not assist in anyway and I plan to spend a lot of time in this office making sure someone does their job. read more

This company takes ages to even provide any follow up on your incident. If you get into a crash and it isn't your fault, this company is not reliable to provide the support you need. It has been 3 months after an accident and there hasn't been any progress. No advocation what-so-ever. Do not waste your money on having Triple A insurance unless you don't care about customer support. Find a company that actually advocates for their clients and is proactive. read more

Looking really great since I last visited. New look and much easier than previous setup.

I have been coming to AAA for a few years and it generally has been convenient. However this time was bad. I waited way longer than usual (similar to DMV). Then I was sent away because I needed to fill out 1 minute worth of information on the title. Then the receptionist had a 10 minute personal conversation with the next customer. When I returned she was not able to complete the job and sent me to DMV anyway. Next time I'll go straight to DMV read more

Came in at 9:10 and was out by 9:40 Heidi helped me adjust my policy to ensure that I was getting the proper discounts and add the new miles (she was so sweet and friendly) DMV line was a lit long but I once at the window I was able to get my registration paid and be on my way in less than 5 minutes. Though some people take too long at the DMV window it's still better than going to the actual DMV Tons of parking available Clean location The air is on (not too high) which is great in hot days read more

They just remodeled the office and it was such a pleasant experience. The way they did it before was still a world difference compared to the dmv but the new remodel was top tier. You walk in and they check you in, tell you what place you are in line and ask you to wait in the waiting area. The waiting area is giving modern, the whole design of the office was modern, sleek, clean. Waited not even 10 minutes before they called my name, clarisse helped me out and she was wonderful. Did an address change and renewed my registration and was done in less than 10 minutes. The experience was really nice and very efficient and fast. Love what they've done with the place! Used to look so outdated and gave DMV vibes but now the place has completely changed the atmosphere, feels very welcoming! The fact that I was told I'd be given a call back and wait for hours is absurd. Also, just to be cut off by the employee was unprofessional.

They changed the waiting area a lot. No longer do we have to stand in line to get dmv tags for auto registration renewal. Sit relax and they will call for you. read more

Service here was nice. Went for a DMV option for my registration. Would come back here again for those services.

Customer service here is the best, went in for photos and an international driving permit and was out in 10min! Thanks

They have a clerk that is very rude and condescending and actively tries to get you to go to the DMV instead of having him help you, and then he yells at you as you're leaving with no service performed , other than this jerk the place is okay . read more

Easy breezy. In and out, customer service is good. I keep my AAA and this place is a reason why.

After last weeks debacle I was told to call back today and they would do whatever it takes to make sure the driver arrives around the time I do. Today I call, ask for a supervisor, and she tells me sorry but I have to call and hope my time isn't wasted again. Unique was quite the opposite (the supervisor???). They better tow the car today. I guess AAA stands for call and show up 3 times before they actually tow your car. Today I was told 45 to 90 minutes. I called @ 11. Sat around for an hour. Got a text that it would be another hour. So that is 2 days I missed my lunch and now tomorrow I am forced to take a half day at work so someone will hopefully show up in 2 hours. That is 6 hours of my time that has been wasted because the original driver couldn't ask to have car moved to place he could load it. Looks like none of your drivers want the trek to Tracy??? This looks so bad on your company, especially your "supervisors"... one makes a promise, another breaks that promise. Time for more training! read more

For Grant Showecker I walked in and was almost instantly greeted by Grant. He was VERY polite and happy. A hard thing to find in people now days. Easy to have a conversation with and knows the system well enough to judge what line to stand in for the least waiting time. He knew exactly the process I needed to complete to get my new car in my name. He stuck out to me because I'm a cashier at Safeway and I know what the public brings to all service employees. He deserves a 10/10 for customer service and I will recommend him/this business location to others. He really impressed me. :) read more

Their offices will be closed on Saturday 08/31/24 for the Labor Day holiday week-end. We were there Saturday 08/17/24. Please note that they are doing construction inside of AAA, and also have a skeleton crew working as well. It took us about 45 minutes to get tags for our car registration which was not bad, especially when we were informed about the wait time, along with receiving a text message stating that they are ready for you and what you need. read more

AAA insurance check. It's not that they are the cheapest place but they are pretty well know; and you need insurance to drive you car. What not everyone know is this place has DMV services. WOW if you are a car flipper or someone who needs to register a car or do a transfer you must go to the DMV to do this. But if you are a AAA member they have there own DMV line that REALLY moves. I was in and out in 20 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. Last time I was at the DMV for 3 hours; and I was happy about that. Go here for DMV services trust me; less wait nicer people; I was in and out fast. It's a huge place and they do offer other services. There is a ton of parking. If you are a AAA member do all of your DMV services that they provide here it's way better; I got my new car registered paid for. The only thing I have to dig them on; in order to use this server you need to have an active tow package and those start at $52 bucks a year and up. It's not bad to have the AAA tow for $52 bucks a year I mean a tow is going to cost you more anyways and it's another good thing to have. I mean insurance is good to have when you need it; peace of mind I guess. Check out this location for all of your DMV needs' Members only tho no; your yelp elite won't play here. Better bring your AAA card bud. read more
