My team lead at work told me about Safety Training Seminars and how she always renew her BLS here, so I thought I'll give it a try. I was happy to see that there was a location right down the street from my house. I scheduled my skills training for a Saturday, so I started to do my online course about 2 weeks prior. The online course was really thorough and informative. I feel that although I've done this a couple times, I still feel like I learn something new each time. During my skills training at the facility that they have, I was given instructions on how to enter the facility. I was having trouble getting the emergency locked box opened to get the key to enter the place, so I called the number for assistance. Everybody whom I encountered when I called was so nice to me. When I called to let them know that the code I was given didn't work, the person whom I spoke with assisted me in finding another one. I got in and had a bit of difficulties but after that, once I got started it was smooth sailing! I'll be coming back to do my BLS here in the future!

This nursing school is the best for someone who would like to be a CNA. It is literally intense…read moreprogram that you can get a CNA certificate only in one month. Most of all, Josie, the instructor is a very theoretically and clinically knowledgable. she taught me skills and examples, which can happen in reality, in details as much as she can. It helps me a lot since I have been working as a CNA. She is busy but always answer my questions and makes me clear when I am not sure and I do not know. I can tell how great she is as an instructor. I noticed I already learned almost everything from her when I had took an advanced Acute care program. I did not need to take the Acute care program. Administration director, Danny is very organized and gives me information what I need. They always support students. Most of VIP students who graduated from VIP Nursing School are caring for patients or residents with good knowledge and skills, and they help other CNAs or co-workers a lot. My daughter took a CNA program from other nursing school ahead of me. It took 3 month and the tuition was more than double. I strongly recommend Vip nursing school if you are interested in being a CNA. You can become a well-educated and well-trained CNA with less time, low cost, and a good quality of instruction.

My GPS took me to a slightly run down neighborhood. I found the address and first thought that I had completely goofed on the address. The room was untidy and there was a litle dog lying on a chair. I rang the doorbell three times. No answer. If I had not seen two outgoing letters in the mailbox with the business return address and a document box with half a brick in it labelled CPR/FA instructor, I would have been 100% sure I was at the wrong place. A retired firefighter named Roger runs the place out of his home office. He's quite chatty over the phone but he is straightforward and through when he does the training. I came here to get my BLS skills check-off after doing the online course through AHA. I would come back again when I am due for renewal for the following reasons: - Convenience: located nearby, you come for what you need to do and you're done! You also get your card the same day. A definite plus to me since I needed my certification done ASAP. - Flexibility: Just talk to Roger and see when your schedule will work with his. If I took the usual class or got checked-off for skills elsewhere, I would have to wait a while for the next available check-off/class. I was checked off for skills here the same day I called. - Small class size: this is not a big company so it's usually just you or one other person. - Value: probably because he runs it out of his home, it's significantly cheaper to have your certification done here.

From viewing their website, there's 2-labs, 10101 or 10103 building. No signs on the 10101 building indicating there's a lab. Supposedly this lab opens at 7am, but with no signage, I couldn't figure out where it is. The 10103 building is the main hospital. When I went to the main desk, the security guard was sound asleep (seriously, sound asleep). After waking him, he tells me to go to the lower level. I go to the lower level and see nothing that looks like a lab. I'm getting pissed because I purposely tried to get here before 7am. When I return to the desk, I just start asking random employees who are arriving to work. A nurse ends up helping me. She informs the security guard that I need to first register and than go to the 2nd floor lab. While I'm registering, I ask that person about the 10101 lab. She tells me that it's a separate entity. I'm convinced that this is the one I wanted because to go to the one I'm at now, I have to register as a patient, which is a hassle. The 10103 lab opens at 7:30 am.
