Hello, Thank you…read morefor taking the time to read my email, I began the process of bettering my life and my career in August of 2022 when I reached out to Unitek to begin evening LVN classes. I spoke with Jeremiah and many other staff members during my interview process, and was asked extremely personal questions regarding my circumstances to ensure I was the student Unitek desired - little did I know, my disclosures on scheduling preferences and my single parenthood would be used to ensure you all took advantage of me and got money out of my pocket ensuring you would have not keep up your end of the student contract. I was clear from the beginning of my initiation, I work full time and have a daughter - every one I talked to ensured I would get into a night class within a year and that I needed to enroll in the prerequisite class immediately to not lose my spot. In doing this, and trusting you all I emptied my savings account with the hope of a bright future for my daughter and myself. I finished the prerequisite class at the TOP of the class - excited for the next steps, I called/texted Jeremiah. He called me a few days after completion of the prerequisite course welcoming me into the LVN next class, which was a full time day class - I was confused. I was so clear on my availability , and was PROMISED I would have access to a class in the evening within the year of the prereq course. During this phone conversation, Jeremiah stated there would be a class in December. December came and went, and I followed up - I was told there was a postponed class for June. Here we are. You promise classes, take people's hard earned money banking that they never get to the next step, without any care in the world. I am requesting a full refund as YOU are unable to keep your end of the contract. Please contact me with any questions. Regards,

After attempting to have a polite conversation with the enrollment specialist (JW), I have decided to choose a different career path. Unless they replace her (JW) with someone who doesn't interrupt you, while she (JW) demands to not be interrupted. I'm using (JW) because Yelp flags reviews with names on them, but (JW) is the enrollment specialist I spoke with. How can someone so rude be the face of this institution?!

Not transparent (about costs). Admission personals utilized sales tactics (acting as though there were limited spaces and exclusivity when they are a for profit organization); some were rude and just stood there in order to try and show a level of organization (figureheads). In order to get simple questions answered, you have to go through too many people. Wasted an hour of my time. This is indeed a for-profit organization. Unfortunately that is the reality of the Bay Area and the unique programs; I would suggest looking at Community Colleges early on before considering this, or consider other careers.

I honestly said I didn't see the signs, and with an attitude he said there are 10 signs. Where I parked, none of the signs were near me. The nearest sign was about 25-30 yards away. My kids and I also walked to the main gym where they played their games before, and once again I was met by the head of parking. He aggressively told my boys they shouldn't be opening random doors looking for their games. I asked him, did I miss the signs again because this is where they played last time. He said no and said the games were in a different building. I said, to help everyone, signs would be helpful, this way he wouldn't be irritated telling other parents to look for the other gym. We walked over to building 2900 like he told us too, and he yelled at me, my sons and other parents from across the swimming pool, telling us we were using the wrong door. It could have helped if he told us where to go. The door we tried opening was directly under the 2900 sign. I yelled back at him saying we are at building 2900 like he instructed. He replied back we needed to walk around the building. When we finally found the entrance it was 2940. I found this gentleman, very rude and aggressive with his approach. I am not sure if this is how Chabot wants to be represented to people in the community visiting. if any staff member is reading this, the gentleman I am talking about is a large heavy set African American who identifies himself as the head of parking and he drives a gray Infiniti SUV. Even if he is not part of Chabot College, simply being on campus and introducing himself as someone in an authority position makes it seem he works for the college.

If I had known this before I applied, I would have done an online school. One day, it took my 5-hour round trip commute to the Bay Area (510) with waiting for bus transfers, riding bart and bus, and getting to and from home. Previously, the commute with the Shuttle was wonderful, the best experience. Shuttle every 15 minutes, it seemed like. If you're like me and don't drive, consider attending another school. In my personal opinion and experience. Although the staff and transit people at school have given 100% effort in correcting issues, AC Transit isn't the best service. Half the time, I pay for a LYFT to take me to and from Hayward Bart to campus. Which averages $10 one way. Please consider this when applying.

Fast forward to now, I could not be more proud of my choice to attend. The following are the noteworthy strengths of the master's program: - Multitude of concentrations to choose from: check their website for details of all concentrations, but the newly created Data Science concentration is rare among CA public schools, and it gears students for work in one of the most in-demand jobs in the area. Additionally, the Biostatistics track is very esteemed and has placed many alumni in commendable firms & agencies in the area. - Faculty attentiveness: Despite ample research opportunities for those who seek it out, the program is professionally-oriented--- not research-oriented. The beauty of this is professors focusing on their students' learning, NOT their publication count. Emails were responded to promptly. Each professor was glad to make time to meet outside of office hours to meet student needs. Relatively small class sizes too. - Evening class options: All core courses [and many electives] had an evening option, allowing full-time working students the ability to navigate through the degree. - Diversity: many CA schools boast about their diverse student body. CSUEB is *truly* diverse. Many students from all walks of life and academic backgrounds. Huge plus. - Cost: One of the most affordable master's in statistics you can find on the west coast. Tuition = under $7500/year at the time of this review. - Location: Located centrally in the Bay area, there is no better location for an aspiring data scientist or statistician. Internships in the area are quite attainable for students due to this reason.

I suppose there are those who stick to their ways even when over time, advances in clinical practice are made. I figured that going to a school that taught modern chiropractic care would be my next best bet, and I was right! The senior intern who is currently treating (under the supervision of an experienced, licensed Chiropractor) is Sarah Opper. She is not just someone who decided to become a licensed Chiropractor out of no where. She has several hours of experience working hands on with people from her time working at StretchLab, has her Master's in Sports Performance and even has a husband who has sustained the same injuries as me (torn ACL, etc.) Sarah understood the difficulties I faced having to compensate with weight distribution because of my ACL injury and how it could possibly affect my back. Over the course of a few weeks I have felt immediate relief. And the great thing is the relief lasts for more than a day (unlike my previous treatments with licensed Chiropractors). She is easy to talk to, very attentive and has attention to detail making sure that my treatment plan is customized to my specific conditions that I want addressed. If you plan on giving this place a shot, I highly recommend Sarah!
