I do feel supported and now that I'm no longer in class and working full time I have time to get to some long over due reviews. I do appreciate everything! The teachers were helpful. The help I got through SCAA was also helpful. I loved the library, but wish they were open later. There is a space that's open later but I had an issue with them and stopped going. I felt supported as I went through the program and now that I'm on the other side and have my life back, I am eternally grateful!

Hello, Thank you…read morefor taking the time to read my email, I began the process of bettering my life and my career in August of 2022 when I reached out to Unitek to begin evening LVN classes. I spoke with Jeremiah and many other staff members during my interview process, and was asked extremely personal questions regarding my circumstances to ensure I was the student Unitek desired - little did I know, my disclosures on scheduling preferences and my single parenthood would be used to ensure you all took advantage of me and got money out of my pocket ensuring you would have not keep up your end of the student contract. I was clear from the beginning of my initiation, I work full time and have a daughter - every one I talked to ensured I would get into a night class within a year and that I needed to enroll in the prerequisite class immediately to not lose my spot. In doing this, and trusting you all I emptied my savings account with the hope of a bright future for my daughter and myself. I finished the prerequisite class at the TOP of the class - excited for the next steps, I called/texted Jeremiah. He called me a few days after completion of the prerequisite course welcoming me into the LVN next class, which was a full time day class - I was confused. I was so clear on my availability , and was PROMISED I would have access to a class in the evening within the year of the prereq course. During this phone conversation, Jeremiah stated there would be a class in December. December came and went, and I followed up - I was told there was a postponed class for June. Here we are. You promise classes, take people's hard earned money banking that they never get to the next step, without any care in the world. I am requesting a full refund as YOU are unable to keep your end of the contract. Please contact me with any questions. Regards,

I honestly said I didn't see the signs, and with an attitude he said there are 10 signs. Where I parked, none of the signs were near me. The nearest sign was about 25-30 yards away. My kids and I also walked to the main gym where they played their games before, and once again I was met by the head of parking. He aggressively told my boys they shouldn't be opening random doors looking for their games. I asked him, did I miss the signs again because this is where they played last time. He said no and said the games were in a different building. I said, to help everyone, signs would be helpful, this way he wouldn't be irritated telling other parents to look for the other gym. We walked over to building 2900 like he told us too, and he yelled at me, my sons and other parents from across the swimming pool, telling us we were using the wrong door. It could have helped if he told us where to go. The door we tried opening was directly under the 2900 sign. I yelled back at him saying we are at building 2900 like he instructed. He replied back we needed to walk around the building. When we finally found the entrance it was 2940. I found this gentleman, very rude and aggressive with his approach. I am not sure if this is how Chabot wants to be represented to people in the community visiting. if any staff member is reading this, the gentleman I am talking about is a large heavy set African American who identifies himself as the head of parking and he drives a gray Infiniti SUV. Even if he is not part of Chabot College, simply being on campus and introducing himself as someone in an authority position makes it seem he works for the college.

I suppose there are those who stick to their ways even when over time, advances in clinical practice are made. I figured that going to a school that taught modern chiropractic care would be my next best bet, and I was right! The senior intern who is currently treating (under the supervision of an experienced, licensed Chiropractor) is Sarah Opper. She is not just someone who decided to become a licensed Chiropractor out of no where. She has several hours of experience working hands on with people from her time working at StretchLab, has her Master's in Sports Performance and even has a husband who has sustained the same injuries as me (torn ACL, etc.) Sarah understood the difficulties I faced having to compensate with weight distribution because of my ACL injury and how it could possibly affect my back. Over the course of a few weeks I have felt immediate relief. And the great thing is the relief lasts for more than a day (unlike my previous treatments with licensed Chiropractors). She is easy to talk to, very attentive and has attention to detail making sure that my treatment plan is customized to my specific conditions that I want addressed. If you plan on giving this place a shot, I highly recommend Sarah!

They have a career center where they give mock interviews, comes in handy since I also utilized it for resume help. Inside there is a small room where students can play pool, watch TV, or play piano to kill some time. Parking is not a problem and I always prefer the space on the right of the campus. If you want some fresh air, you can take a walk around campus. The food at Newark is ok, but I highly recommend to drive to "The Block," which is the Fremont shopping district. You could buy from Costco, Panda Express, or even Wendy's besides the overpriced food. For students or future students reading this, try to take all of your classes here! No need to walk all the way up the hill like the main campus. All of the classes are next to each other with lots of places to study or relax.
