Have had Chris as a trainer for the last three years for both cpr and first aid. As a previous red cross trainer myself I can say his class was top notch, entertaining and extremely educational. With his firefighter background he has seen it all and is able to give real life examples to some scenarios that may happen. Every two years educators take a CPR accreditation ; we have to and we are a difficult crowd: it is always scheduled when we are at the height of prepping for our student returning to school , usually after 3 days of full on heavy meetings and teachers are just bad listeners. I took this class as a requirement for my job and wasn't supremely looking forward to it, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Our instructor was Chris Peters who was very energetic and lively but also had a real sense of experience around him. He allowed lots of opportunities for questions and answered each with ease. He also explained the medical and reasons behind each activity which was really helpful. He came über prepared with a speaker and clip on mic and had all the supplies. He even took the AED we have on campus and showed us exactly how to use ours and the test AEDs, that was a nice touch. We also watched videos but he went into each video with a discussions no explanation after the video. I really appreciated his canter and commitment to saving lives. read more

I am not going to lie. Yesterday our school was scheduled for our CPR class and I was so not looking forward to it. Our classes are usually us listening and following directions from a teacher that is direct and to the point. Yes, we all want to get the correct information and move on. But yesterday's class was not only informative but fun! Our teacher Chris Peters was engaging and funny whilst teaching us the importance of CPR and safety. I've been taking these classes continuously since I starting my nannying business at 13. This was easily one of the most enjoyable. Our instructor was hilarious (James) and laid back, using sly humor to keep us engaged for the entire 6 hour course. I appreciated how he didn't keep us any longer than he had to, either. The former fire/EMT instructor was professional with a little humor thrown in when appropriate, kept the class moving but not rushed, made sure all students were keeping up, and verified that each student's performance was correct.
