My team lead at work told me about Safety Training Seminars and how she always renew her BLS here, so I thought I'll give it a try. I was happy to see that there was a location right down the street from my house. I scheduled my skills training for a Saturday, so I started to do my online course about 2 weeks prior. The online course was really thorough and informative. I feel that although I've done this a couple times, I still feel like I learn something new each time. During my skills training at the facility that they have, I was given instructions on how to enter the facility. I was having trouble getting the emergency locked box opened to get the key to enter the place, so I called the number for assistance. Everybody whom I encountered when I called was so nice to me. When I called to let them know that the code I was given didn't work, the person whom I spoke with assisted me in finding another one. I got in and had a bit of difficulties but after that, once I got started it was smooth sailing! I'll be coming back to do my BLS here in the future!

My skills test was with a VAM and I thought it was extremely helpful testing that way. It is able to monitor the correct depth and timing so I can get a better idea of how it would actually be if I had to perform CPR. I would definitely return when I need to renew again!

I decided to go online to find her site and see when she would be available for training. She was an amazing instructor and really informative. Her classes are small (about 6 people) and I like that it was a small class. After you request for one of the days that she has available for training, make sure you pay online before it starts to ensure that you keep your place! I wish I could remember the name of the person who was working when I came in because she was the sweetest person ever. My TB test was done professionally, painlessly, and quickly. My GPS took me to a slightly run down neighborhood. I found the address and first thought that I had completely goofed on the address. The dwelling was a one family home with an old car in the driveway. All the windows were covered with sheets or blinds save the living room window which had an opening. The room was untidy and there was a litle dog lying on a chair. I rang the doorbell three times. No answer. If I had not seen two outgoing letters in the mailbox with the business return address and a document box with half a brick in it labelled CPR/FA instructor, I would have been 100% sure I was at the wrong place. I came here to get my BLS skills check-off after doing the online course through AHA. I would come back again when I am due for renewal for the following reasons: - Convenience: located nearby, you come for what you need to do and you're done! You also get your card the same day. A definite plus to me since I needed my certification done ASAP. - Flexibility: Just talk to Roger and see when your schedule will work with his. If I took the usual class or got checked-off for skills elsewhere, I would have to wait a while for the next available check-off/class. I was checked off for skills here the same day I called. - Small class size: this is not a big company so it's usually just you or one other person. - Value: probably because he runs it out of his home, it's significantly cheaper to have your certification done here.
