Terrible costumer service, Me and my Fiancé went to the store to fix our phones and upgrade. My Fiancé got completly scammed and charged more then he should've upon returning to the store to get a refund the following day and explaining the mistreatment he got on his plan they continued this time it was by the Manager. The Manager told him he had to call Verizon and the women on the phone told him the Manger had full control to fix what was wrong. Shame on the management and poor leadership. read more

One star is too much. This store in particular has unhelpful, rude customer service. Even the manager was unhelpful. My phone was marked stolen by accident by someone else not me and all they did was tell me to call a phone number to fix it. They didn't offer to call for me at all. I was transferred to different departments until I got a helpful person ( customer service agent named Marla) after over 3 hours. The manager at this store actually said, "it's not my money, Not my problem." Long story short, I'm switching to AT&T and I'll be sure everyone knows how disgusting and rude Verizon treats their customers. Overall, 6 hours of my time wasted. Bought $1000+ iPhone from Mohammed At Richmond ave store. Slick fast talker. Talks you into getting accessories u don't want. Doesn't fully explain charges. Sold me a charging kit because I wanted wireless charging which is useless with otterbox I also bought. Told me I would get 13 dollars off my bill if I bought a Jet pack which I told him would sit in a drawer. Did not say jet pack costs $10 a month n I had a 2 year contract. Used to come to this Verizon location for years before I switched over to AT&T for the iPhone. They're very helpful and accommodating and professional. This is a typical Verizon store. But beware, the lines are really long and it takes forever. Be prepared to spend an hour here no matter what the situation (just asking a question, buying a new phone, upgrading, etc). The workers here are very nice, professional and knowledgeable. However, the wait is ridiculous. There used to be a section for tech support and they got rid of it with the remodel. Now, you have to check in and wait in order. So if 5 people are ahead of you buying phones which takes at least half an hour, you are stuck waiting forever for a simple tech problem- or if you just need to buy a new car charger, case etc. forget about it. I'm not really sure why people were here at all, with a better Verizon store not 10-15 minutes away. I didn't get service here at all because of the ridiculous wait. I asked a guy to check me in, and he looked at me as if I had just asked him to literally carry the world on his shoulders. There were a bunch of people ahead of me, so I wandered the store for a bit and noticed many employees, but none of them doing anything at all, standing around flirting with each other like it's a cocktail party and the customers are just there to mingle. I left and went to the other one. The store in Charleston on Veterans Rd West was less busy, and the employees were happy and willing to help me asap. read more

I had the best experience at this store yesterday. I went in to buy a new phone and from the moment I walked in I was greeted and assisted by friendly and wonderful reps. They worked with me to get me everything I wanted, even things they didn't have in stock. They helped me find the best plan for me, and made sure everything was set up exactly the way I wanted before I left the store. My rep was friendly, courteous, and knowledgable. I have never received better service and am so pleased with my purchase. They even followed up with me the next day to make sure I was happy. STAY AWAY!!!!! My wife went there to complete an online order for a phone for store pickup. A shady salesman, Cali, the "manager" sold numerous items and unnecessary plans to my wife under false pretenses and assured her they were necessary to save money on our monthly bill. He also lied and said they could be returned without problem or charge. When she came home, I immediately called Verizon and was told everything I bought, beyond the phone, was absolutely unnecessary. The next morning I went in to return everything except the phone and he charged multiple $35 "restocking fees", despite what he told my wife. He also hid several extra fees in the phone's charge and overcharged for tax while telling my wife "Verizon shouldn't charge any upgrade or extra fees, and if they do, I will have them reversed". Well, it turns out that he charged those extra fees directly to my credit card for himself, without her knowledge. He also failed to provide an itemized receipt, making identification and accountability, practically an impossible task. This guy and this VERIZON STORE are the absolute bottom of the barrel when it comes to ethics and character. Cali is a con artist. Thinking Verizon has the largest network and coverage as they have advertised, so I consider changing from T-Mobile to Verizon. I went to this store in December to buy a pre-paid plan. Before i switch my number over to the new carrier, I specifically asked what is the difference between pre-paid and contracted plan. The representative told me there is no difference when it comes to coverage. So I went ahead and signed up for the pre-paid plan with unlimited text, min., and 2gb of data. The service was all fine until I went visit my family in Maryland a couple of weeks a go. I noticed my service changed to roaming. However, I did not know that I don't have extended coverage in roaming due to my plan is pre-paid until I called Verizon customer service late in the evening. That's one big difference between the pre-paid plan and contract plan which was not disclosed to me when I signed up for the plan. My phone was "blacked out" the whole day. I can't make or received calls, not event for voice mail. read more

By far the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life! My so called coustomer service helper was an african american guy named Nosa Or Mosa, not important enough correctly recall. This guy was so rude and so demeaning with his tone that my family and I were taken back by him. We were there to UPGRADE 2 of our 4 lines, extending our contract with verizon. After over 10 faithful years with verizon, my family and I decided to take a raise of hands vote (4 ppl, 4 hands raised) to walk the hell out your store door and drive straight to T-Mobile and switch Carriers. After waiting over 30 minutes for this D minus employee of yours to come back and finish assisting us, he instead walked past us hastly and made another female staff memeber re-sign us in so that he didnt have to be bothered anymore. We would like to take this moment however to actually thank him for his unproffesionism and rude behavior. Had it not been for emploee of the year over there we never would have been pushed straight into the hands of T-Mobile. Not only is T-Mobile paying to break our verizon contract, my family and I were offered new phones,were able to keep our numbers,now have unlimited text and data and all for way less than we were paying at Verizon.
