My iphone 13 screen wasn't working due to water damage. I was given 2 options which was $100 or $150 for the quality of the screen. They told me they will call me before putting the phone screen on to ask. I got a call about an hour later stating that the only damage on my phone was the screen. I asked a few times as I originally wanted to trade my phone in with apple, but if it was only the screen that was damaged, I would reconsider. They told me they would use an original iphone screen as they ran out of the better quality screen. I opt-in for the original screen which I paid extra for. I was in a rush when i got my phone and didnt check it throughly. The screen is not original. So if they ran out of better quality screen and my screen isnt original, did I pay extra for the lower quality screen? A week after the fix, I had noticed that the light sensor wasn't working on my phone. I do believe that when I gave my phone in, they told me they would check my phone to ensure everything was working. And that included the light sensor. I took it to the store, left it for a few hours only to be told the "ribbon" was damaged by the "cracked screen". When i told them it was never cracked, they changed their reasoning to water damage. I was given attitude as I tried to reason. The service would be a 1star as I did not get the original screen which I was promised. The service is also a 1star as I was given attitude when I went in for discovering another damage which I was told prior that the water only damaged the screen. read more

my review says im in california but im talking about the brooklyn new york location. i bought in a overheating gaming PC for diagnostics and repair. The team at this store was excellent in communicating the status of the repair. The part i needed took a few days to arrive, but i can't blame them for that. I had brought the computer in on a Saturday and it was back in my hands early the next week. The price for parts and labor was fair. They waived the diagnostic fee since I opted to have them do the repair in-house; they could have easily gouged an extra $40 out of me and they didn't. That is RARE. These guys are great. We had to completely replace the keyboard on my son's new HP Pavilion laptop....check out how complicated that is on YouTube. I wasn't going to attempt it myself no way. I looked up the model on EBay and ordered the replacement for like $25 I then took a chance and drive into Brooklyn on a Sunday and these guys were the best. I'm very computer savvy so the services that these guys have done for me are either time consuming and/or advanced level that I can probably figure out after a carafe of espresso, pack of smokes & doing acrobatic stunts with my pens while holding precision tools. so "Time" is what I don't have Typically, I used to tell my bosses in Hollywood "You want it done: Cheap, Fast & Good.. well then, pick any 2 of the 3".....& expect the value of the Third to adjust. do the math to figure out. if they're not super busy, You will get your device back promptly. They've serviced my laptops, 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, & External HD Tower. If your order involves a product purchase, get the exact details as to whether they are providing a warranty or if it will be covered by the manufacturer. My iPhone battery needed to be recharged at least three times while at work. I need my phone to clock in and out of my shift. I also need it to work with the Microsoft Authenticator to approve so I can access sensitive medical files. I asked one of my colleagues who also has an iPhone if she knows of a place I can take my phone to. She knows the job I do, and that I can't leave my phone overnight especially when new assignments come out. I need to be on top of those to bid for the ones I prefer. She recommended Tenda Tech. Even showed me their business on Yelp. I was pleased with what I read. I took my phone in, and spoke to a charismatic young lady who checked to see if she got the battery for my phone. She then told me how much the price is, which is very reasonable considering for the labor and battery costs. She told me it would be ready within 1 1/2 hours. I live far so I went exploring, and shopping in Bensonhurst Chinatown. When I got back my phone was already ready. Today at work I went in with it showing 100% charged. Eleven hours later at the end of my 11-hour shift my phone shows 72% charged. I'm really pleased because during the summer I would ride the NYC ferry and use online tickets to go but paper tickets to return. Why? Because on my return trips my phone battery would be dead and I was unable to use my digital tickets. Now I can't wait to ride the ferry again both ways using my online digital tickets. Prior to my visit, I asked a bunch of cellphone repair stores over yelp to see if they can find the backing to my boyfriend's phone. His phone is relatively new and many places just said they couldn't do it or don't provide this service or just wait maybe a month before trying again. This place didn't outright reject me but tried very hard and asked their wholesalers if the back for the phone was available. They kept me updated and although they couldn't find the back, it was ok ay because my boyfriend found one on ebay. And when asked on yelp if they would help him put it on, they said yes but make sure that the back is the correct one. When I went in today, they still remembered me from a week ago and is currently fixing my boyfriend's phone. When it's done, this review will definitely be updated but so far, I rate their service five stars for everything they have tried for us! Update: The fix was quick and my boyfriend has no complaints. Second time visiting the Tenda Tech shop and they are 2 for 2 in getting the job fixed and completed. This time I had some broken keys on my keybord. Maybe due to working from home too much?!?! Any how, Vanessa and Kevin are simply awesome. They did some diagnostics and came up with two options to repair the issue. These guys do a good honest job here. I brought 2 iPad minis here to get fixed. One had a broken home button and the other one had water damage. Both were fixed and restored to their original form for a reasonable price. My only knock on them is that they're very busy and they don't follow up with you as they say they would but not a big problem cause they're happy to give you an update whenever you call. Whenever a high priced electronics breaks, I dread having to get it fixed. Even if it is an issue that can easily be fixed (e.g. replacing a low cost part), I know the manufacturers are going to try to price gouge me. I generally have this issue with Apple because it wants you to just buy a new device. When my power port broke for my ASUS laptop, I looked up the part online and it cost less than $20. When I contacted ASUS, it noted that it could fix it but for a ridiculous amount of money and it would take 2 weeks. As such, I started looking for a local electronics repair shop on Yelp and found Tenda Tech. I was glad I did. Their price was very reasonable. I felt it was very fair. Obviously, repairs are not going to be cheap but I do not want to feel completely price gouged. I contacted them through Yelp to get a quote. After they analyzed my laptop to confirm the problem, they gave me a call and the price matched the initial quote. Consequently, I knew there was no funny business from this shop. They were professional and friendly throughout the process. Moreover, they fixed my laptop quickly: within a day. My young teenage son broke the screen on his new Samsung phone. He was so upset, so I looked up a repair place that was close and found this one. I'm lucky I picked them. How reasonably priced, efficient and lovely they were! Their price to replace the screen was excellent, they told him it would be fixed in two hours and the lady there (he thought it was a family business) made SURE he got home in an Uber, saying it was 'better to be safe than sorry'. I obliterated my Nexus 5 screen on concrete and I needed it fixed the same day. This phone model isn't particularly popular in the wild and most shops need to order the parts. I messaged them to get a quote and to make sure they had a screen readily available. They replied very quickly and I dropped in later that day. The job took appx 3 hours and there were some residue underneath the glass. Totally not their fault since I came in rather late in the day and needed the device back on the same day. The important thing is, I got my phone back in working condition; I need it for work so I could deal with slight blemishes for a few days as long as it was functional. They told me I could just come back and they'll re-do it since there's a 30-day warranty. I returned the following Monday and 3 hours later, phone is perfect. I've been using it heavily for two days now and it's working just like when I got the phone back in 2013. The staff is friendly, bi-lingual, and extremely helpful. These guys are AMAZING. Be prepare to be surprised by what they can do for how much. I broke my HTC M9 playing Pokemon Go in the rain -- some water got in and the buttons would randomly shoot the volume to max without me touching it or sometimes not work at all when I pressed them. Sprint store only wanted me to trade the phone in for a $100 credit for anew phone -- and pay the balance. I asked around and a friend sent me to these guys. It took just a couple of hours for them to take apart the phone and test every component, and give me a diagnosis of water damage to the buttons ribbon cable. In another hour, they have replaced the cable and put the thing back together, good as new. They told me they could have replaced the whole motherboard if they needed to. Prompt and friendly service, reasonable prices, and most importantly -- they WILL fix your stuff right. If you are having phone problems, give these guys a call. They're honest with the low grade or original screen they have in stock. Plus the prices are great.. However, the last visit wasn't so pleasant dealing with asain woman and Prada glasses.. She has very poor people skills... not only does she have a BAD ATTITUDE but VERY condescending when speaking with customers. Watching her made me upset to watch... if I spend money at en establishment I want to feel welcome not regretful... if I ever break my phone not sure if I can deal with her again.. she needs to be hidden in the back and kept away from customers.. read more

This week, I learned that the combination of beer brain and butter fingers is not a safe environment for electronics. My friend was visiting from Canada and we woke up yesterday morning to a very water damaged laptop, which was extra unfortunate because he has an interview in Boston tomorrow and the contents of his hour long presentation were in said laptop. We walked over to Tenda Tech and explained the situation to the guy, who was really accommodating to the time crunch. He assessed the computer for free and called a couple of hours later to say he could try to fix it, but the chances of success were 50/50. He explained that if it did get fixed, it would be $160 and if it didn't, there would be no charge. Sadly, mission unsuccessful; RIP, laptop. My friend ended up buying a refurbished laptop from Tenda and I was really impressed with the prices; we compared to prices on the internet and this place was a lot cheaper. The guy also managed to transfer the data from the old hard drive into the new computer which he did for free. Overall, he went above and beyond to help us and such stellar customer service is both rare and greatly appreciated. Also, they sell really cute sunglasses for insanely low prices, so I'll be frequenting this place for that in itself. read more

My laptop got fried (admittedly, due to being unintentionally soaked in beer overnight) the day before I had to head to Boston for a job interview that required the laptop. They were courteous, friendly, and helpful from the beginning, and ended up going above and beyond expectations. First they assessed the damage for free (and extremely quickly), tried to salvage the machine (unsuccessfully, though not due to any fault on their part), and sold me a new laptop at an extremely fair price without any pressure, then transferred over the contents of my old laptop free of charge. I had Tenda Tech replace the screen on one phone (an LG G2) in early 2017, and another screen on my current phone (a Moto G 5 Plus) last week. In both cases, Tenda Tech offered the lowest estimate of several shops. They stood by their estimate, and the work was done in a quick and professional manner, and in less time than they had projected. The people I have spoken with on the phone and in person have been quote likable. I am not worried about runarounds or "gotcha" fees or charges. Neither of my phones are very popular, and every shop from which I solicited an estimate said they would need to order the screen, and would start the ball rolling once I made a small deposit. Tenda Tech estimated seven business days for my most recent new screen, but had it ready in four. They notified me immediately, and I dropped the phone off in mid-afternoon, and was able to pick it up in early evening. After my second good experience with this shop, we decided to take our other two broken smartphones in for repair, one to give to a family member who needs a more recent device, and another as a backup the next (inevitable) time we break one of ours. We will save a great deal over buying a brand new phone in desperation. read more
