I had a freak accident with my Mac laptop and broke my screen. I looked on Yelp and saw the great reviews for Ming. He was very welcoming and fixed my screen in a timely manner. The price was reasonable compared to bringing it to the Apple store. I would definitely bring my computer back to Ming for repair. He was very upfront about the price and his labor. Thank you Ming! read more

My laptop died on the Friday before Memorial Day. I took it to Best Buy which said it would take 4 to 6 weeks to repair. That was not going to work, so I searched and found Ming from Hylan Computer Repair. Ming diagnosed that my hard disk had failed, replaced it with an up to date disk, and was able to restore my files. All within 2 days, and on a holiday weekend. At a very reasonable price. So happy I found HCR. read more

I needed my laptop battery replaced as it was not charging fully. I took my laptop to Hylan and discussed the problem with Ming he checked the laptop and agreed that the battery needed to be replaced. We discussed the price and agreed. He ordered the battery. I would return as soon as he received the new battery, with the computer so he could replace it. he fix took only an hour. Fast service, quality work, and a fair price. I will return if I need more work on my laptop. read more

Very smart and honest. I had disassembled my laptop myself and was unable to get past a black screen. I brought it in, and Mr. Ming inspected it, asked a few questions, and within 5 minutes, told me that 90% chance it was a faulty gpu or gpu connection. Sure enough, I disconnected and reconnected the gpu and now it is working again perfectly. I will be coming back for my friend's hard drive recovery and all my computer needs. read more

Ming runs an honest no nonsense business - his shop is a tad disorganized but he knows his stuff 9 ways to Sunday. Have had several PC repairs (screen, hard drive) Ming offers top service at a fair price. Service is quick and he offers some great tips on windows. Highly recommended. read more

The most terrible service I have ever had!!!! I brought my laptop because the switch button was broken and I couldn't turn it on. I was told if it is gonna be fixed it will cost me $50 but if it is not so they won't charge me anything. When I came to pick it up, the switch button was taken off and I was told to use a screwdriver to turn the laptop on. The man wanted me to pay $50 trying to assure me that it was fixed. I was furious!!! I had to pay him $30 for nothing just to take my laptop back. It is a kind of blackmail, isn't it???? Now I have a hole it in the place of the switch button and a I have to use a screwdriver to turn it on!!! So my advice is to STAY AWAY from this shop, don't be stupid as I was. Good Luck! P.S. I see this "Honest" Chinese man has learned how to cheat for the last 2 years! (refer to the review from 2013) read more

I walked into the place with my desktop yesterday based on the great reviews I've read about this business. I was greeted by Ming who quickly looked at my computer and diagnosed the issue (power supply was shot) within five minutes. He was able to install a brand new one and tested the computer right in front of me. I was in there for about twenty minutes and walked out a totally satisfied customer. He charged me a very fair price for the part and his labor. I would definitely go there again with any future computer or television problems and I highly recommend Ming. read more

Ming is the real deal. Managed to repair my Macbook Air for a fraction of what it would have cost me at the Apple Genius Bar. And it was ready in 2 days. He thinks about the problem, rather than just replacing parts. read more

Ming is the man! I came here with my Macbook (white 2010 model) it got the " Grey Screen of Death". My mother referred me to Ming's shop she has a Macbook Air and spilled water on it. She took it to Ming and he fixed it right upgo straight to the point told her that there is a chance that the speakers will not work since the mother board has water damage. The thing purrs like a kitten! (knock on wood for future). Back to my story, I brang my Macbook to him explained what was going on he told me Either it's a hard drive problem or a software. It was a hard drive problem he replaced it for me and now it runs faster than it did. For the future I'm coming to Ming with all my Laptop, computer problems forget apple! read more
