I stopped in to ask if I needed an appointment and was told I was fine for a walk-in that afternoon. I came back with the laptop and was told it could take anywhere from 1-4 hours depending on the severity of the problem. Well, they got it resolved in about an hour, patiently answered a number of my very clueless questions, and charged me the minimum price they'd quoted - and they gave me the senior discount that I'd forgotten to ask about! Not being a techie sort of person, I was really dreading having to deal with this and kind of worried about being made to feel stupid! Well, Tim and Jacky were both quite lovely and I was delighted to see they didn't just have the technical skills but also great customer service skills. All told, a very positive experience.

I was using a computer to display a six projector video piece in a not-for-profit contemporary art…read moregallery in Williamsburg, and 36 hours before my show was to open, my custom computer, shipped from Chicago, flat-lined. This was not a normal exhibition but one that also had a live performance component in the backyard courtyard. In addition to a performer, there were many people involved in support positions and a last-minute cancellation would have been a real betrayal of my colleagues and in addition, a loss of thousands of dollars,. I had no idea what to do, and decided to do a search for a local PC guy near where I was staying in the Prospect Park area. I found amazing reviews of Robert Wright and the Wright Corner and decided to take a risk, and bring my computer back there, rather than using a larger more corporate place in Manhattan. My husband met him at his door at the opening hour. It was a great decision! Robert dropped everything to help us. He was the best medicine we could have had. He is calm, knowledgeable, kind and steady under fire. He diagnosed my problem correctly, advised me where to find another of the rare 6-output graphic cards I needed at the best rate, and charged me a more than reasonable rate. He saved the show, and made me believe again in the wonderful possibilities of human nature. Thank you Robert! I can't recommend this man more highly!

I only use it occasionally but when I do, it's important. First I called a local computer repair shop. They said it would be $90. Not the worst. Then I asked my friend if she would recommend her computer technician. She said yes enthusiastically and gave me the number for Technical Difficulties. When I asked him for a quote, he told me that different HP laptops may have more than one fan and that he would have to see it. Then he told me that if it's just the fan, I could try a laptop fan pad. Never heard of it! I bought one for under $30 and it solved the problem! What integrity!

One day I was accessing some files -- one minute the files were there and the next minute they were not readable. I panicked. I thought that the files were lost forever until I discovered that there were some companies out there that recover just this kind of lost data. https://www.yelp.com/biz/crb-computer-repair-brooklyn-brooklyn-2 -- recommended Technical Difficulties. I knew the cost could be very expensive, but I had to find out if it could be done and what they would charge. Avi at Technical Difficulties explained to me all the different possibilities before I agreed to send the flashdrive to a lab. I had a certain figure I had in mind that I would go up to because the journal entries were irreplaceable. After waiting a couple of weeks, I was told that most of the files could be recovered including the journal entries. I thought it was a miracle! The cost was not cheap, but reasonable. I was very happy with the service I received. I also very much appreciated how the process was communicated to me. There was never any pressure -- everything was left up to me. I highly recommend their service for data recovery. I was able to recover something that had a lot of sentimental value. Thank you so much Technical Difficulties!
