Don't go to this location. This store will try and squeeze you for every dollar of commission possible. They will ignore your direct requests in favor of what makes them money. They will ignore what you tell them you do or don't want in favor of what makes them money. They will add things to your account you never asked for and not tell you about it so they make money. I worked at Verizon as a sales trainer for over 11 years and left about three years ago. I literally trained Verizon employees on how to sell and what happened to me was disappointing. I've had multiple friends and family members have problems with the service at this location but it is one of the few corporate stores on this side of town. No surprise that I had the same experience even after telling the sales rep I had worked for Verizon. Came in to upgrade and trade-in in my old phone. It was no surprise when a basket of accessories I never asked for accompanied my phone. The sales representative Chau kept trying to get me to buy different combinations with my trade-in money instead of just applying the money to the cost of my new phone. After finally deciding on a case and a battery pack for my wife and telling him I didn't want anything else for the 5th time he finally wrung up the phone. I wasn't surprised when the remaining balance of my trade-in value suddenly was applied to the cost of the new phone. Most annoying was when I decided to check my account this morning and saw that Chau had added insurance to my line without asking, mentioning, or telling me he was doing it. At $11/month (and a service he and the manager make commission on for adding) it was annoying to see the feature on my line. As far as service is concerned, I will give them a great rating. Despite having to wait for approx 20 min to be assisted, I left pleased. My assistant was helpful, quick, and knowledgeable. I have been here many times and in the past 10 visits, I have only had one bad experience. I like Verizon. I hate paying so much, but I like their service. Needed 2 new SIM cards. Tried to get them online and salesperson was telling me my calls and GPS dropping has nothing to do with my SIM cards. Took phones to repair at a local store. Told it was SIM card issue. Hesitant to come to this store due to bad prior experience. Today..totally different. Met at door by Ramon the security guard. Friendly and professional. Then Richard salesperson helped me get my new SIM cards. Listened to my issues. Hassle free. No questions asked. Felt like I was at Nordstrom. Both interractions with staff couldn't have been better! Knowledagble staff. But as with other mobile phone stores, individual reps are given very limited ability to make deals or give discounts. They have to just follow corporate pricing and read from a script. But the staff is friendly and answered my questions. And did not push me to add a new line or make any other cross/up sell attempts. I appreciated that. Verizon has the best LTE network in Southern California - great coverage and really fast! I couldn't be happier with the service I received by two representatives named Christian and Natalie. I transferred my account to Verizon (1) because I was completely dissatisfied with Spectrum, and (2) to take advantage of the promotion to receive a free IPhone. Both Christian and Natalie were incredibly patient, courteous, and knowledgeable. I am not exactly a technology whiz, and they helped me with everything from forgotten passwords to pairing my hearing aids! Wow it really HAPPENED to me. I read about all the nightmare experiences here but still rolled the dice coming here hoping I would get lucky. Boy was I wrong. TIP: whatever you do, make sure to get EVERYTHING in writing here and keep a copy. And go to a third party independent Verizon store if you really must do business with Verizon. Corporate Verizon stores are usually ran by under qualified people who don't really have any interest in helping the customer or verizon. So the end result is crap service. At least the independent stores will try harder since they are smaller size business and are more connected to their employees and customers. Nasir who is the store manager here is very misleading and his actions are suspect. He will offer all these rebates to you. Then he says he can't give you hard copies but not to worry since it's all logged in the systems notes. Then he tells you the rebate will come 3 billing cycles later. Well guess what when you have to go into the store to follow up? $500 worth of rebates turned into $300. And he barely put in to request the rebate today! I don't even know what to believe any more here. I can't believe they're my carrier. I came in for a 4line deal that was supposed to be less than $200/mo. My statements have been in the $600 range since opening. With no overages. Just misc charged that I have to constantly call in and fuss to get my own money back! Normally I would never give this Verizon a rating. The last couple times I have went into purchase a new device it was a mission and a half (iPhone 5 and iPhone 7 plus). It was skeptical about going in again because it seems as though the employees try to force added accessories into your purchase and played it as "a great deal" or "We're hooking you up for free." HOWEVER! This time I tried things a little different. I purchased my new phone online and chose to pick it up in store. I was immediately greeted by Jennifer, the store's Manager. She had a great smile and really made me feel welcomed. I explained I had punched my device online and was there to pick it up. She took my ID and looked into my purchase. Shortly after Lawson came back and said that the purchase had not been processed yet, but he would go ahead and process it for me since I was there. I honestly can say he wasn't lying because I never received a text saying my purchase was ready for pick up. I decided to try and pick up since I had just gotten off work and didn't want to go home and return to the store. Not long after that, Lawson asked if I was interested in a screen protector or case. At no point did I feel pressured to make the purchase. The whole process from beginning to end (even though I jumped the gun and went to the store without being notified it was ready) took about 30 minutes. I've been going to this location since it was AirTouch Cellular and I can truly say this was the most painless and satisfying visit I have ever had. Thank you Jennifer and Lawson. I've had an issue with my phone for a bit now, and called the version customer support a couple of times with no solution. I Walked in to this location and was helped within 5 minutes, all my problems and questions were solved within 15 minutes. The only reason it took so long was their tablets were running slowly. The employees were knowledgeable, but also very kind. They went above and beyond in terms of being friendly and taking an interest in me and my needs. 10/10. BUYER BEWARE!!! Horrible service! Most of these reps are arrogant and have superiority-complexes. Read the other reviews before you walk into the store. They sold me a defective phone. I was having trouble on the phone with the 611 customer service troubleshooting the phone all week. I walked in and asked for a new phone and spoke to Jeremiah. I told him the issue as he was reading the notes and asked me if I backed up the phone. I said I didn't think so and then he laughed, kind of brush me off in a rude way and went back to his notes saying, we don't do back ups here. When I asked him a question about the back up, he abruptly interrupted me mid-sentence, put the phone in my face and said can you type in your password. I told him I was asking you a question and he said yeah yeah yeah but put in your password and put the phone in my face again. I got so upset at the disrespect I immediately asked to speak to somebody else and to talk to the manager. I spent two hours at the store to get my problem fixed in that rude, unprofessional environment. It's as if the employees are resentful that they have to help you when they're not going to make an extra sale out of it. The attitude of these male employees was chauvinistic, arrogant, and dismissive. The environment was so uncomfortable. The manager was extremely condescending and dismissive. His name is Angel. He literally laughed with all his employees in the back and then came over and put on his act of oh so sorry you're having this issue. We obviously failed you today. He said he talked to the rude disrespectful employee Jeremiah and when I asked him if he knew what happened he said, I have no idea. Ummm WHAT???? Angel having no clue what happened was a clear indication that he wouldn't have reprimanded Jeremiah. He then said let me let you speak to Armen or Collin since you seem to like them better.....Like them better??! No they were just not rude disrespectful you know whats to me! So condescending! After we spoke, he then went to the back of the store by the back tables and continued to laugh with his "bros". Even if the subject was completely unrelated it was still so unprofessional and so uncomfortable. I have never been in a more unprofessional environment. And why are the reps all men? Normally this would be fine but it seems like a chauvinistic, rude, unprofessional BRO congregated type of environment and was so uncomfortable. I see toxic masculinity at this store is at an all time high. Did we somehow forget that we're in 2019?! Verizon was supposed to have superior service and superior customer service and it was the complete opposite. I detected a service issue later that day, (I had one bar of service in my own home) with my new phone after two hours of being at the store already and I called back the store. The manager Angel said "yeah you know what I'm gonna do you a favor and call a tech to bring a network extender to your home even though tomorrow is my day off, just give me a text." And what a sneaky shyster! That equipment was going to cost me $250 and of course he did not mention that to me. Instead of helping me, the manager Angel was trying to upsell me on a device that cost $250 and did not make me aware of the cost. I came into Verizon because my 5 day old $800 iPhone stopped allowing me to make or receive calls, get on the internet or text message. Basically it was an expensive piece of junk and customer service via the telephone was unable to resolve it. I came into the store at 7pm and it was about 40 degrees in there. I observed 5 agents on duty and half of them were doubling up to help one customer with the same darn issue. One agent was engaged in an unnecessary conversation with a customer who would not shut up. Another agent stood around while a lady debated between three different styles of a phone for an hour. The security guard took notes every time an alarm went off. And I sat around and froze my ass off. After an hour of waiting I was still not called and after witnessing the agents take other people ahead of me I approached the counter only to be told that my name is not on the list. I was then added to the list and waited some more. The guy who signed me in claims that he did his job and they couldn't find me. That's some BS as I was sitting on my ass in the same spot for an hour and there were like 12 people total including staff. I am pissed because my 5 day old toy is not working. I am pissed because telephone based customer service should be able to resolve such issues. I am pissed because I hate spending over an hour at a Verizon location on a Friday night after working all day. I am pissed because I got a ton of attitude from the person helping me and the person who didn't sign me in as if I was the stupid one. I pay good $ to be with Verizon. They should have a specific person dedicated to deal with technical issue in their stores instead of having everyone sell plans and phones. It takes an hour to sell a phone or a plan. Horrible customer service. I walked in the manager at the front stood there for 45 minutes and sent home employees before closing. I told them I wanted to buy a phone. The manager could care less. There were people teaching people how to use their computers. Really!!! I thought this was a place to pick up a phone and other accessories. I regret not having read other reviews for this business before going in. Two years ago we went to a Verizon Authorized Retailer to get the iPhone 6. We were told we were entitled to free cases, screen protectors, even bluetooth speakers for our phones. We then got hit with a $500 bill. When speaking to Verizon Customer Service we were told that was the cause of dealing with Verizon Retailers, not with direct stores. Last week we went to a "real" Verizon store so that wouldn't happen again. We were told that since we're loyal customers, we qualified for a free tablet and a free jetpack. The rep also said our first bill or two would be higher, but to come back with it for adjustments. A week later I got a bill and brought it back, not only for the adjustments but to return the free items as well. I was told I had to pay $40 to cancel each line and $35 restocking fee for each item. I then found it I would be charged $20/month, or $10 for each item: $20 for 24 months is $480, not free. Their argument was that since the data plans are now cheaper than before, paying for those "free" items would not be different from what I've paid in the past two years. I told them that just because Verizon now has better plans at lower prices, it was deceitful of them to make me pay for those devices under the impression they were "free." read more

Come here if you want incompetent staff, terrible customer service, and a long wait. Incompetent Staff -- After waiting nearly 2 hours, I was assigned to Julio, who was so incompetent that he could not even order the iPhone 7 Plus I wanted in the correct color. I wanted one in black, and he ordered it in silver. Terrible Customer Service -- When I discovered Julio failed to place the correct order, I had already left the store. He told me that I would have to come back to the store, cancel my order, and place a new order to fix his mistake. This rendered my initial trip, and wait of 2 hours, completely meaningless and would have required me to make another trip out of my way to go back to the store and further waste my time. Julio also offered to cancel my order and take down my credit card information over the phone. I was not comfortable giving my credit card information to someone who could not even place a correct order for a phone. Long Wait -- I waited nearly 2 hours for an incompetent staff member to screw up my order and make my entire trip out there a waste of time. The fixes/accommodations the store offered me for wasting my time, screwing up my order, and asking me to go back to the store again to fix their mistake were extremely inadequate: the waiver of a $20 upgrade fee. I cancelled my order and asked to speak with the store's general manager, Victor. I left Victor 3 messages over the course of 4 days and didn't receive a response from him so I called Verizon's customer service line. Lonice, the operator for Verizon's customer service line, was fantastic. She took the time to listen to my concerns, understand my frustrations with my experiences, and tried her best to remedy the situation. Before speaking with her, I was ready to cancel my Verizon account after the terrible customer service I had received at Lake Ave. location. Lonice was able to correctly place my order and work with me toward a satisfactory resolution. Victor finally gave me a call back to discuss my experience and see what he could do, but only after I had called Verizon's customer service line and had all my concerns addressed by them already. I appreciate that Victor did eventually return my call and committed to bringing this issue up with his staff to educate them and try to make sure customer service is up to par. This is commendable but was ultimately unhelpful in resolving the unsatisfactory experience I had at the store. In the future, I will not go back to this store. If you have a customer service issue, I would strongly recommend you document it and give Verizon's customer service line a call. read more

Here the service sucks I came to make a payment, but kiosk doesnt work because i changed to T mobile. So i asked someone to help, he said" go to the guy with white shirt" n i came to him and said "my phone number no longer exists can u help me. he said " go kiosk n put account number" I came back to kiosk. I finally couldn't take it anymore last week when my phone started dialing people withOUT my permission(wtf!!) as well as changing my wallpaper to whichever picture it felt like at any hour of the day. This was on top of MONTHS of not being able to dial out sometimes... or text...Or use my phone normally without having to spank it to make it BEHAVE...Or remove its entrails to try and reset the beast (i.e, remove the battery)! Ugh. Super frustrating and it is my only phone line... This sucker finally wore me out and I raised my white flag in surrender... Must. Visit. Store...and get H-E-L-P ASAP! I happened to know I'd be in the area after lunch with a friend, so I decided to give this location a shot. It is a very large store with plenty of employees assisting, wandering about and holding down the fort. I signed up at the kiosk near the back entrance and waited for my turn. My turn was up pretty quickly and all I had to do was hold my phone up to show Giovanni how it was going through one of its tantrum/seizures of pushing its own buttons... he said, yup, it's a heat sensitive touch screen that has gone kaput. Let me get you a replacement... I was like whaat?? Can't I please get a better/different phone? He said, no worries, it's the newest release, 3rd generation--no longer heat sensitive and it'll be just fine. I begrudgingly said OK and hoped to god he was right about it. Turns out it is a different version indeed. I asked him how many people turn in their phones due to this issue... and he said 100% of 1st gen and most of the 2nd gen... OY vey, Samsung. If only I had known... Anyhow he was kind enough to allow me to transfer ALL my pics and numbers free of charge, even though I exceeded the maximum pic count of 50. There was no way for me to delete the extras, folks! The faulty phone simply wouldn't allow me to massage its buttons into submission!! So, after another wait of oh, 20 minutes or so, he brought me my newly updated 3rd generation version of the Samsung Glyde. I looked at the thing suspiciously but once I got acquainted with it, I felt a sigh of relief that I had an actual WORKING phone again. Heavenly... WARNING! If you have a LG Cosmos, come here for a software update! My phone of 1-1/2 years has been glitchy. I love how VW knows about it but fails to tell the customer to get a software update. My phone likes to reboot itself when I try to open up an incoming text msg. And now it's started to completely shut off as I turn off the car and the bluetooth tries to disconnect from my phone. Then I can't turn my cell back on w/o disengaging the battery completely. Verizon tech over the phone was helpful but unfortunately I was on software version 2 & they had 2 updates since then. He helped me find the closest one to my work which was this location. Tried to find parking - it's metered everywhere so I parked across the street at Macy's for FREE! Walked over & got greeted by someone immediately. Wasn't forced to use the computer to check in. Saw about 12 reps and almost no customers at 2:30 p.m. on a weekday - so come here on your lunch break! Jerome helped me out - updated my software - got me out in under 15 minutes! We came in last Friday and waited an hour to upgrade our phones to the S6. This store is always super busy so be prepare to wait! We killed time by sending anonymous creepy text messages from their display phone to each other & taking random pictures so the next customers browsing photos can see it. We finally met with a guy and he was really nice and honest. Or so we thought! Keep Reading... To make a long story short, this guy (Not sure if I should put him on blast) any way, we told him we wanted to upgrade our phones and he gave us this speech as if he himself was the President of Samsung saying how there was issues with that phone and to wait 20 days for a new batch to come in with the issue fixed. He also mentioned how he gets commission but regardless he wanted to warn us about the phone. So obviously, we believed him but it still seemed fishy to me. So the next couple of days I searched high and low on Google and forums and could not find the problem he was talking about so I took the liberty in calling the store and spoke to 3 different people and they said they were not aware of the issue. So yup! BIG TIME LIAR and he wasted our time. Why? Who knows? Maybe he was saving those phones for a family members or friends that he was expecting to walk in after us. So we went in last night and Calvin helped us. He was so accommodating and went beyond expectations to help us. The upgrade took less than 30 mins for 2 phones. We were really happy with our service last night. Get rid of what his face and hire more Calvins! Overall, I'm glad we got our new phones and great service 2nd time around. I've been here twice because it is the closest place to my home that has technical support. Both times that I went I had to wait in ridiculously long lines even though there were tons of workers not doing anything. The first time I went, my phone was broken and they told me that they had placed an order for me to receive my new phone within the next week. My phone didn't arrive on the day that they said it would so I called Verizon only to find out that they didn't place ANY order at all! I waited with a defective phone... I was pretty angry. I was lucky. Seriously. I know how incredibly packed this store can get. I don't think my experience would have been the same, had I been there on a Saturday or Sunday. Alas, it was a Wednesday evening... I originally purchased my smart phone at the location in East Pasadena. After having to send it back for a third time because it would crash after a month or so of use, I decided I had had enough and that I would go to the larger store. My mission was simple: to change my smart phone and pay the same price someone who was renewing their contract. This is where I learned that not all Verizon stores are created equal. I told the sales person my story and what I wanted. I said "Look: I know this is still under warranty, but that will be my third time sending the phone back. That's the definition of crazy. I simply don't want to have to deal with this again. I'm willing to pay for a new phone, but its ridiculousness to have to pay the full retail price. I've been a good customer...etc. etc." Sad story continues... Sales person "Let me check with my manager." She comes back. "OK, here's the thing: we would loose money on the deal, so here's what he says: you buy $100 worth of accessories and we can give you the price for the phone". I did some quick math and realized that even with buying all that additional crap I will still make out pretty good. So, while I'm looking throughout the store wondering what the heck I'm going to spend $100 on, I get to talking to the sales person. She asks me where I get my phone. I say "The other verizon store in Pasadena." She says "We don't have another Verizon store in Pasadena." What the? After describing it to her, she says "Oh, that's probably a subcontracted store."... ...Then she says something that blows me away "I'll bet you they sold you a used phone."Yah, these stores often sell refurbished phones. We never do that here." To which I point out that I was told it was a new phone I got for renewing my contract. This is where she pulls up a computer screen and says "Look. I'm not supposed to show you this, but I just looked up the last owner of your phone." Dude! WTF? She goes only to tell me how incredibly shady those stores can be. She was also super cool in that she bought back my phone even though she didn't have to. That certainly helped bring down the price of the accessories. Thank you Verizon on Lake Avenue. My eyes are wide-open to shady business that goes on at other stores. Thank you also for honoring my simple request. I'm just glad I didn't go on a weekend when the place can be a zoo... Didn't like that this place was trying to make commission off me. The guy kept telling me if I didn't open a new account in order to keep my unlimited data plan, then I couldn't get a new phone. I had no other option apparently. I even asked if I could use my dad's upgrade and then switch phones with him and they told me no. It couldn't be done even tho we've done it before. That's when my dad told me to go to the Puente Hills/City of Industry Verizon and seriously so much better. They told me I could do it. So thanks for trying to rip me off Pasadena. PS...
