I was pleasantly surprised to see that this location was remodeled. Once i got inside the manager pretty signed me in, and i didnt even wait 30 seconds until Ester helped me activate/ switch phones. She was SO helpful compared to last time i came here and some tall, skinny blonde (3 years ago) with an accent didnt even help me with the same problem, so BIG UPs to Ester here. She was determined to keep trying to activate my phone tho it keep failing, and mentioned my upgrade was coming up so she offered to maybe upgrade then at the spot which was a super sweet idea, but it was okay cuz my phone started working, and also let me know about the deals, price drops, and new phones available that i was interested in knowing more about. I've been a Verizon customer for about 5 years, every time I have a question or need something done to me phone or my plan, I come here. They just seem like they have everything together and organized. As soon as I walk in, they check me in, quote me on a time, and they usually see me sooner. A couple times I got free accessories, but thats just because the people were cool and they said that it was on them. Parking is plentiful in the lot, and it's in the edge of the San Fernando Valley, so not many people come here. It's right off the freeway and worth the drive out if you're in the Northridge area want great customer service without the wait. read more

Bought a new phone here and also got a Zagg glass screen protector and was told it has a lifetime free replacement... so I cracked it and went back to them for my free replacement and I was told I have to go to a kiosks in the mall for that... WHY??? When I purchased here and was told free replacement... Verizon tells me they don't give free replacement here and the place in the mall will but will charge me it install it.... I can put it on myself but the place wont giv it to me.... If Verizon it a dealer for ZAGG InvisibleShield then they should handle it, not send me to a kiosk in a mall .... I sometimes feel that upgrading my phone can be akin to going car shopping: trying, but ultimately rewarding. The folks at this Verizon store made this a very positive, easy experience. David, especially, should be commended. He took the time to answer all of our questions and demonstrated the patience of a saint. The store was quite busy due to the iPhone XS launch, but he gave us his full attention and made us feel like we were the only ones in the store. We were able to complete the upgrade of both our phones in the span of a brief 40 minutes. Thanks to David, although we live in Granada Hills, this will be our go-to Verizon store from now on. Went to Verizon to have contacts synchronize my cell phone with my laptop. The Verizon agent said that he is a sales person who doesn't handle technical question. I've gone to that store several times for technical assistance and this is the first time that a Verizon agent has told me he knows nothing about my phone. Verizon wants my money every month and calling 611 requires a l-o-n-g hold. So much for service. read more

My boy friend and I came here last night to upgrade his current iPhone. Right when we walked in we were properly greeted and put on the wait list. As we waited we looked around at the newer iPhones and life proof cases. We probably waited for about 15 minutes before our turn came, not too long. We were introduced to the specialist that'll be helping us, Andrea. Right away she was very kind, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. Between my boy friend and I we probably asked 5,000 questions and she answered each and every one of them. Never once did she get frustrated or agitated with us. Throughout the process she explained each and every upgrade option possible. Not only did she take the time to explain them all. She even wrote each option out on paper. After reviewing each choice countless times we finally found the best option for us. We ended up with 2 iPhone 6S (buy one get one) and an iPad mini. Thank you so much Andrea for everything. You were very pleasant and patient. You made this whole experience wonderful. Thank you to everyone else who helped us. I must say everyone was remarkable. Even though this location is 20 minutes away from where I live, I would rather come here than the location 2 minutes away from me. I went on vacation and the next day my phone stopped charging again and completely shut down. This is the 2nd time this has happened in 8 months. An error code comes up that I am not using the original charger but I have only used the one charger I received from Verizon. Not only was I on vacation without a work phone for a week but when I tried to log back in it said my password wasn't valid and locked me out. I have never changed my password since I received this phone. They had me try to login for the last time which erased everything on my phone including pictures etc. When I complained to the "solution manager" (Jorge Garcia) he had everything but solutions for me. Absolutely no help at all and did not care at all about the situation. Not one apology, no options to help me but his card and a wave out the front door. Worst customer experience ever. Went into the Porter Ranch Store where they told me I was eligible for an upgrade on my jet pack because I've been such a great customer for so many years so I told them to go ahead with it. I just got hit with a $100 one time bill for my upgrade. When I called customer service, they just passed me back to the store that did it and (no surprise here), they absolutely stink. Wife and I had to renew our contract and were ready for battle. Store opened at 11;00 which made us second in the door. It took maybe 2 minutes before we were greeted by Lucy. Since I am always ready to do battle about rates, contracts, blah blah blah blah, Lucy was in for a rough go of it. (good cop, wife; bad cop,me). Lucy was very well prepared, knowledgeable and courteous. She was not only able to answer ALL our questions, but she saved us some money - ALWAYS GOOD! Not only did Lucy get us a lower-priced plan, but she was also able to add a "jetpack" to the account!! If you are lucky enough to get Lucy as your Rep, you will be one happy electronic user!! We also just read some of the other reviews, and are truly stunned. We had a great experience. I had an issue with resetting my PIN in order to port my phone out on Saturday evening. Customer service advised me to go to the store and show ID to reset. We dealt with the manager. I can tell right away that he wasn't going to get involved to help solve it. He just stated since the account is not active he can no longer help. Verizon was creating the problem and only a store can help fix it! Ended up going to Verizon store in Valencia. I'd give them negative stars if I could. The "manager" Sergio is a disrespectful liar. Told us that "Black Friday" deal would give us between $50 - ? For a trade in but he would have to see phone. I told him online says $32 but he said it was more due to Black Friday. Drive all the way home to get the phone and when we returned one of the sales people said $32 without even looking at the phone. When we called Sergio over he said that he did not quote any prices. I told him that he very definitively did not give a price. I said you didn't but you gave a range starting at $50. We told him he was wasting our time. Had to come in and have a number ported - I thought it was going to be a guaranteed hour with wait time and service. I had 3 kids with me so I was going in out of desperation and not looking forward to it. I was told to ask for Romy (not sure on spelling) and as I walked in I got lucky he was the guy who said hello to me. He was extremely helpful, kind, quick and exceeded my expectation of service from a Verizon store team-member. I was being billed for a line that had not been used since Nov 2015 and called 611, they said to wait til Aug 31st to get this resolved. Stay away from this store. I got ripped off by a sale associate. Her name was Lucy. Their sale pitch and practices were very unethical and illegal. Their are not there to help you explaining and clarifying the numbers. They are there to confuse you, and saying you that you're getting stuff for free and later on you got billed. In my case, she told me that I was getting wireless speaker for free but I found out that I was charged $199 for that so I returned the speaker. The employee that helped me (more accurately didn't) was so unimpressive. I was looking to replace a phone case that they sold me with lifetime guarantee and they were out of stock. He told me to come back when they had them. So then I decided to shop for one and he brings me 3 cases that looked decent but told me I couldn't open and try them. I told them what's the point of going into a store then, might as well skip their subpar service and shop online. He said, yeah you can do that. Lol that's laughable, if we all decide to do that he will be laid off. Anyways I asked if I buy it, open it, not like it and return it, he said I could do that. Seriously! I came in here for help with my phone because it wasn't charging. I had to wait around for a good 5 minutes before a rep saw there were people waiting around to be helped...only to figure out that I pretty much wasted my time coming to the store to ask for help. The guy didn't really seem like he wanted to help me out. All he did was look at my account, and I told him my situation with the phone, and he and said that because Verizon can't fix the phone ports, I would have to get a new phone. He directed me to the phones, said that he would give me some time to think about it, walked away, and helped another customer. I, now in my frustrated mindset, was so annoyed that this was the best he could do, so I walked out of the store. I went into the store again today to switch my account to my brother's phone and my brother's phone to another phone as a solution to my previous phone issue. There were at least 6 employees standing around the entrance waiting for customers to walk in...I made eye contact with a few of them, but only one greeted my brother and I at the door and asked us what we needed. He took my name and said that a technician would see us soon. Well, 30 min passed by, and no one was helping us out, and all throughout the store I saw employees huddled in corners talking to each other and not helping customers out. They are clearly overstaffed and most of the employees are not doing their jobs. My brother had to go up to the employees and tell them that we were waiting for a technician to help us, but no one came to help us yet. So finally we were helped after having to confront them about our situation. We were helped at the counter in the front of the store, and out of 4 employees behind the counter, 2 were actually helping customers out. One was sitting down on her IPad looking at apartments from what her conversation sounded like (not to be eavesdropping or anything), and another was on his phone with an earbud in his ear. Long story short, I ended up buying a wireless charger for my phone as a result of the funky charging port, and it requires a special case for each different phone, but because my phone has been discontinued, the closest Verizon store carrying the case was Valencia. My brother and I had to go on a wild goose chase to find this Verizon store. We went to 3 different Verizon stores before we found the correct one. We weren't given an address or telephone number from the employee at the Porter Ranch store, just a vague description of where the Valencia, store is located. I really have no idea how this Verizon store trains their employees or how it is okay for employees to stand around while there are customers throughout the store. I am so frustrated with the customer service, and will seriously never go back here. I'd rather drive a little further to find a Verizon store with good customer service than to have to waste my time waiting around all day at this store. read more

For the last time ever. I have to deal with this verizon store. As usual the employees tell you one thing and do something. I walked in and registered then went next door to get a sofa after being told that it would be 30 minutes. Well 10 minutes later and returned to wait the full half hour to find out that they called my name 5 minutes after I left. Not the original 30 minutes I was told. Today the cellular carriers feel like you are just a replaceable commodity Their customer service is gone and when you have an important issue they do nothing to help you. Avoid Verizon if you can. I was incredibly disappointed by the poor attitude of the Service Rep there and their extremely poor customer service. They had installed a screen protector on my wife's brand new phone. It didn't "seat" properly and they told us that it takes a few days to "seat." Well, it didn't - twice. So we went back and they told us it had been too long (2 weeks?). But each time it had large air pockets and they told us to give it some time. The Rep then told us to drive to the Topanga Mall and have Zagg replace it under warranty. 45 min later the Zagg explained that the guys at that store don't know how to install them. He had to charge us $8 for replacing the NEW protector on our NEW phone. Stay away from these guys in Porter Ranch. Our Rep was rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. I wish I had gotten his name to share with you. And NEVER let them sell and install a Zagg protector on your phone. Just go to Zagg and let them do it (Zagg offers a 2 week free replacement if it isn't PERFECT). read more

I was with Sprint up until today. I've been on the family plan with my parents & I decided to take myself off theirs & start my own line but instead of letting me upgrade from the s4 (my s4 was starting to malfunction due to drop damages) to the s6 (contract wasn't up yet) even though I was willing to pay whatever fees they told me I could only get a refurbished s4 on my own line & then they would add an extra year to my new contract that I'd have to use up before getting an upgraded phone. I didn't want to pay $150 for a refurbished version of the same phone when just a few months from now I would have to pay money again to get the s6. So in comes verizon & Vincent, one of the most helpful people I've ever met. I decided to just go to them, pay the termination fee to switch over, & get the phone I wanted the most. I also decided Verizon would be best because my position at work requires me to be on my phone a lot & I know with them I won't be dropping phone calls like I did with Sprint. Vincent was patient with me & all the questions since I've never started a plan on my own. He went through my s4 to see how much data I use so we could pick the perfect amount of gb I might need. He made sure to go through every option I had & explained how the pricing of each would work out. He also gave me additional package options (like adding a tablet, or a bundle deal for multiple items) which was nice & I appreciated how when I declined he didn't try to press the deals & push me into purchasing them. In the end I left with a new s6 & a huge smile on my face. Yes verizon is a little more pricey than other services but I think it's well worth it & I'm incredibly happy with the decision I made to move. If you're coming to check out this store definitely ask for Vincent's assistance. read more

The saleswoman at the Verizon store gave me a "free" tablet and said my bill wouldn't go up, then my bill went up. The saleswoman said that they had a special promotion. She told me that I was on an old plan that Verizon doesn't offer any more and that Verizon was trying to get people off their old plans. She said that if I switched plans, I would get hundreds of dollars worth of free stuff and that my bill wouldn't go up. I asked her why Verizon is offering so much stuff and she said it was because they want to get people off their old plans. I asked why Verizon wants people off their old plans so much and she said she didn't know and that that's just what they want. I said OK. I asked a second time to confirm that my bill wouldn't go up and she said no. She wrote down on a piece of paper what I was currently paying and the amount that I would be paying and it was the same amount. She never said anything about activating a new phone number for my tablet. I didn't want a new phone number for my tablet because I planned to use it for Internet only. I decided to accept the deal. She had me sign digitally on her tablet. I read all the text that was displayed on the tablet and signed on it with my finger. There was nothing on it about monthly rates. Then she had me sign her tablet again. I again read all the text that was displayed on the tablet and signed on it with my finger. There was nothing on it about monthly rates the second time either. Both times it just had the prices that would be charged to my credit card. Then she said I was good to go.I asked for a receipt but she said it would be mailed to me. So the saleswoman told me twice that my bill wouldn't go up. She never said there would be an activation fee. There was nothing about pricing on anything that I signed. She never handed me any paper saying anything about pricing. I never signed any contract other than what was on her tablets and I never got copies of them. A month later I got a bill from Verizon. They had added a new phone number to my account and charged me $10 extra for service on that number. They had also charged me a $40 activation fee. I went to the Verizon website and viewed the Verizon agreements and there was stuff on there that I didn't get to read. It's possible the saleswoman scrolled all the way down and only showed me the very end of the agreement so I didn't get to read the top of the agreement. I had to go through the Verizon Customer Care program to get my tablet service canceled. The good news is that they waived the early termination fee and refunded the money I was billed for the tablet, but I had to go through a huge hassle. I went back to the Verizon store to try to return my (unopened) Bluetooth speakers. I explained what happened and the manager, Vijay, said no because it was outside the time frame to return stuff. I told him the whole story and he told me I needed to have read the agreement, the store wasn't in the business of giving things away for free, and that he didn't believe my story. He then told me that he noticed I didn't have insurance on my account and that today was the LAST DAY for "open enrollment" on insurance! (What an amazing coincidence, the fact that I just happened to be in the store for the last day of "open enrollment", whatever that means!) I just started laughing and said "I can't believe you are trying to sell me insurance." He got indignant and said he wasn't trying to sell me anything. I asked him if the insurance cost money and he said "Protecting your device costs money." Then I started laughing again and left. read more
