Went back to this location because upon converting my personal account to a business account something got crossed in the line somewhere and now I cant see my handsets on either account and my account is stuck in limbo. I was helped by numerous people over the phone and figured it would be easier to go to this store since they couldn't figure it out in the phone. The first time I was there at this store the rep had everything done and I should of received a call from the business rep on Monday or Tuesday. Well of course Tuesday evening hits with nothing now I cant access either account on both the personal or business side, so after my shift I head down to this store and try to speak to a rep. As soon as I walked in the rep came over and asked what brought me in, i explained my whole dilemma and he says "we don't handle business at this store you have to call business support, I cant help you here were short staffed and we close at 7p. You will need to make an appointment." So I told the guy that because of the nature of my trade I can't guarantee my hours are fixed being a contractor things vary hence not having an appointment and that there is a business rep that works at this store specifically for business accounts he brushed it off and really didn't wanna deal with me so he gave me a number to business support which I already had, I asked for the business reps card and he took his time getting me that afterwards he handed it to me and that was the end of it. As of right now and multiple calls to VZW Business I still cannot access any of my accounts or see my handsets let alone pay my bill. I get that being short staffed outs a damper on things but to treat me like the scum under your shoe because you don't want to handle my problem really shows this stores true colors. Nate was incredibly patient and helpful with me during my painful upgrade. We had a very long wait (over an hour and a half) on the phone for customer service to assist with an online order. Unfortunately, we never got through but Nate was patient and kind the whole time. I do dread upgrading for these reasons and I feel bad employees have to deal with ridiculous hold times but I also understand these are unprecedented times. Wow. Waited for an hour with our name on the queue...three male employees stood around the entire hour we were waiting doing NOTHING, then about five minutes before we leave another customer walks in and gets helped immediately. As we left we said take our name off the list, we will go elsewhere and in return we got nothing more than an "oh, ok". There was NO OTHER customer in the store besides us, we weren't being served. About to drop a pretty penny on a brand new iPhone, we will take our business elsewhere. Also, my daughter said they were laughing at us as we walked out. So in my anger, I flipped them off. I'm not upset I did that, but I am so angered that they would see us leave the store and not try to stop us, instead laugh at us. Rudest employees on the planet. Anywhere. What a waste of my day it was at Verizon! We spent three hours trying to get my husband's Apple Watch connected to his phone and we just ended up returning it. We will just be getting it at Costco. There were multiple calls in to corporate to get help and we were on hold with them as well. The most frustrating part was that the worker left my husband on the call with corporate so that she could help another customer. There were more workers that were just standing around. They clearly don't care about their customers. We won't be going back there ever again. I will drive to another store that isn't close to my house if need be. read more

Verizon on Val Vista Mesa Az has the worst customer service of any Version store I've been to. The manager is very sassy and won't listen to reason. On.y excuses for something under warranty, and can't produce anything in writing that backs up what she's saying. All they do is refer you to rewards program. Spoke to them And they wanted tor refer you back to the store. They wanted me to send it for a replacement I said is long as they sent me a postage free label. Eventually settle for a credit to my account. I've bought several phones from the Val Vista in the past with great experience. But since the pandemic they have the rudest customer service I experienced with the store manager being the worst. She should be replaced with someone that understands customer service. My husband and I had a very pleasant experience when we visited this location the night before. Well, that all changed with Nathan! The young man who previously helped us wasn't working and still wanted us to go to the store so we wouldn't miss out on a promotion. (We had already purchased one phone and opened one line of service. We wanted two more lines and phones) Nathan was very disinterested in answering questions. He was impatient, unprofessional, unfriendly, and argumentative. He went to his manager thinking he was right when my husband was trying to explain THEIR policy. No apology when Nathan's manager told him that he was wrong and my husband was correct. My husband asked to speak with the manager, Armando, but he was taking too long. I don't know why because he wasn't busy doing anything. After making a call when we got home, we found out that 99% of the info told to us by Nathan was FALSE! We ordered the phones from home. Of course now we have to wait until they arrive but I guess that's okay. Totally different experience from our first visit. Nathan should seriously consider a job with no human interaction! I tried starting services ..I sent in my ID for verification and was approved for 7,000 . But yet when I tried to order phones I never received them and everytime I call to ask why I get a different excuse/lie about when they would come. One agent even gave me a fake tracking number . Called back, he just said hello again, same voice, acted put out talking to me, barely answered my questions and then hung up. Trying another store instead. I find it troubling when the employees at this store contradict what Verizon 611 told me regarding a Samsung Galaxy S4 Smartphone and warranty. It shows me the techs at this location really do not care about customers, and only want to sell the product by any means possible. Verizon 611 was able to troubleshoot the telephone remotely. I contacted them after I walked out the store after speaking to a rep. I am now getting a second warranty telephone in 2 weeks, which questions their whole stock of warranty phones at Verizon, The first Warranty phone lasted only one day. Would have been better to keep my original telephone and lived with the speakerphone failure. Furthermore, I find it troubling that they do not listen to my request about a possible request, and they further went and tried to "upsize" me on the plan and telephone. I denied. This whole thing about smartphones hardware and software is troubling. If it were not for my contract, I would have dumped Verizon in a heartbeat, and I did tell this to Verizon 611. Overall, I really question Verizon in regard to Quality and Warranty. 1) Original telephone lasted 1 year before having issues 2) First Warranty telephone lasted 1 day before having issues 3) Second Warranty telephone...to be determined. I am expecting its arrival at my doorstep. Common Quality Assurance and Statistical Analysis regarding failures would question the whole stock of Warranty phones they have. The Verizon 611 Technicians (two of them), that I called from the parking lot after walking out the store were better trained, but did not understand the idea of failure and statistics. Rest assured, I will be writing a nice letter to Verizon's Quality Assurance, if they even have a functional role like that, describing this, and what the concern is. Went into the store today to follow up on an email i received about the possibility of an upgrade. I have not had the best of experiences with in store purchases (see review from 6/12/13) but i figured it wouldnt cost to look and i was killing time anyway while my car was cleaned. The reason i have upgraded my review from 1/5 stars to 5/5 stars has everything to do with the excellent customer service and quality information i was given from ANTEN JENSEN. From the onset i told him that i was just looking and doing homework on new devices and how it would affect my bill. Anten was patient and informative on both counts. He took the time to first assess my knowledge of the phone i wanted and then line by line broke down how upgrading would effect my bill. I thanked him took his card and told him i would be in touch. With absolutely ZERO pressure he told me to call anytime if i had further question. Later that night i text him (after store hours) and asked some additional billing questions and questions about the device i was looking at (Samsung Note 4). Even after hours he responded promptly and invited me to come back into the store where he could take another look at my contract. The following day i met with Anten and my first question was weather or not her could do anything with the out the door price on my phone. i explained that i didnt need alot of the additional add ons (case, car charger, new wall charger ect) could omitting those items offset some of the final cost. He told me absolutely and came back with a number that was significantly lower and that reflected only what i needed. This bears mentioning in light of the fact that all employees there are commission based, that said Anten was more interested in providing quality customer service and detailed explanations rather than inflating the price with unnecessary items and accessories (*see previous review from 6/2013) By the time we were finished (aprox 30min) Anten had set me up with a new phone, a tablet, and more over he was able to add both devices as well as keep my bill at the same (slightly less infact, $4.00 less per month) monthly amount and same service. Bottom line is that if you are in the market for a new phone or upgrade and prefer the personal in store experience or even if you need detailed thoughtful information about your current phone and plan go see ANTEN JENSEN at the Val Vista and Baseline store. After the last experience i had in store with Verizon i had vowed never to return, however after dealing with Anten i have completely changed my position. I've had nothing but good experiences in this Verizon store. Contrary to the first review, it's never taken me very long to be helped when I've come to the store. I rarely go in to any verizon store, as most problems can be solved online or over the phone with verizon customer service. I think the longest wait I've ever had in this, or any, Verizon store was 15 minutes. I've been treated well and had nothing but positive experiences with Verizon. I tend to research EVERYTHING i buy, so I usually don't have big issues with phones, but I feel confident the the reps at this store are more than capable of politely helping me when I need help. read more

This store needs to be schooled in customer service. Went in with father in law to get him upgrade iPhone. Service rep came asked questions then told us let's sit down so she didn't have to be close to the delivery guy that just walked in. She said, "he yelled at her because she couldn't sign for a delivery one day and that she shouldn't have to put up with that. Whatever Ok!, I had to get an authorization from my husband to buy phone and it took about five minutes. In this time the Rep took another customer that bought new phone. Nearly twenty five minutes later. The Rep walked to door greeter. I let her know I received authorization and we are ready to finish getting the phone. She said, "umm okay". Door greeter said we'll be right with you. I saw her walk in back room. I asked door greeter why is it taking so long, we've been ready and waiting for some time. He said,"she went to lunch and well you weren't ready and you're back on the list again". Seriously she went to lunch! NO one communicated with anyone hello YOU GO TO LUNCH! Another Rep Ashley came and took care of us quickly. I have gone to this location many times before, it was unnerving for the lack of consideration this time. read more

I drove straight to the store, And when I got to this Verizon location there were 19 customers in the store and the wait time magically jumped to over thirty minutes. I was having problems with my iPhone and had to drop by. To my surprise, the employees were outside greeting the customers, due to coronavirus. I am disabled and was greeted at the car door. Nathan is a horribly lazy person and a terrible customer representative. I was having issues with my phone connecting to my Hum. I had registered it online. Got an email saying it was activated. Damn thing, no matter how many times I pushed the green button, it doesn't show up on my phone under bluetooth. Call customer service, waste almost an hour of my life going through all these steps to try and activate it. They tell me to take it to the store. Get to the store and NATHAN, tells me my device is fine. It's that I am too stupid to know how to download the app or know when my device is powered down, or how to turn it on. the lazy bum, refuses to come to my car to check it (after all it is HOT, poor lil' baby Nathan) and never asks me to bring my device in. So, I download the damn app. Same exact issue. Spend another hour with Hum customer service, same crap. It works, except for connecting to my phone. Take it in today, get a decent customer rep, Nicholas, who quickly identifies my green phone button on the Hum is broken and I need a new one. So, if you go to this store, get anyone but Nathan. I have never had a ruder, more condescending customer service person. Hell, he shouldn''t work fast food, pr really work with people at all. read more

Trying to help my brother discontinue his service. Spent much time on the phone with a Verizon rep. He said all I had to do was return his equipment to a Verizon store. I went to 1935 S Val Vista Dr, Mesa, AZ 85204 They said I could not return the modem/router, that my brother would have to come in. He does not drive, and was recuperating from surgery, and could not. I was no my way to the airport, and left the router/modem with store manager Stephanie Menez. She came running out of the store and appeared to attempt to put the router/modem under my car tires. Great experience! read more

This store is all about the upsell. Don't go here. I preordered a S8+ and brought it in to activate. I had called before and was told no wait. It took me about 5 mins get there and all of a sudden I'm told 1hr wait. You have to physically sit and wait in store, in my case stand and wander since seating is limited.Not allowed to wait in car or outside or you will be passed up. Finally my turn comes around. I tell the associate I need to activate and transfer everything over. She said ok and started the process. During this time, she is trying to upsell me charger,cases,screen protectors. I let her know I already I had already picked out 2 cases but she kept insisting on using there bundle deal. I didn't need anything else since I already pre purchased from online. She seemed frustrated and was finished in about 10 mins. I said you did that fast, you transferred everything already. . She said oh no ,just activated phone and did contacts. She said I would have to do the rest myself. I explained that I just activated another phone the previous day at another store and everything was transferred for me. She replied back rudely, ha not here. I said really, you can't or wont. I know you have the means to do it. She just said, well your phones is activated and ready to use. Unless you need to purchase anything else, your done. I used to like this store since its a full Verizon store and not just a satellite store. It's big and has plenty of workers. No help, had to be on my guard to not get ripped off. Was met by the manager Juan Valentin of this location where I explained I had a old VERIZON iPhone 5 with water damage that turned on and connects to WiFi but no longer has cellular. I know this because I sent it to my elderly mom and after 14 months it got wet. She was so upset VERIZON in WA state tried EVERYTHING to make it work for her. After several SIM cards She purchased a new phone. A SIM card was never left in the old phone. As it still connected to WiFi I wanted to give to my 13 year old son as a iPod Touch. The phone kept saying "No Sim". Juan kept saying I had to activate the phone to get a SIM card. I said I can't it dose not have cellular you guys tried everything. I offered to buy one, he said they where free "with activation" and round and round we went. 7 min later pissed I'll tell you I left. Went to VERIZON on Power rd. Had a SIM card in less then 3 Min. They verified it works perfectly as a iPod Touch. This store on Val vista is not there to care about the customer. RE: Taylor I would leave zero stars if possible. I was transferring carriers from T-Mobile to Verizon, something I would think to be a routine endeavor for these associates but Taylor managed to completely mislead me and act as if she was thoroughly informed or trained and spout BS which lead to a massive run around between the two carriers. I was provided a Verizon SIM card and my T Mobile SIM was discarded. This lead to a lock with Apple requiring authorization of my phone number which was now in limbo between T Mobile and Verizon. Long story short I am simply not able to use my phone for 48-72hours and now my T Mobile bill has come due which means I'm not paying for a month of T Mobile service AND Verizon. Please train or terminate Taylor so this doesn't happen ever again. read more

I seriously wondered if I should write this review, but after thinking about it for a while, and seeing the other low score reviews, I figured I might as well. The last time my husband and I went into this store, we experienced an extremely long wait time, but more distressing was the sexism. The gentleman assisting us refused to make eye contact with me, he would direct the answers to my question to my husband only, and would in turn only direct his questions to my husband. He persisted in doing that the entire time-- even though my husband would then in turn direct the associate's questions to me and would differ to me for every decision, clearly showing that I was the one calling the shots. My husband then asked the guy if I was in fact on the account too as an authorized decision maker, which the associate said I was but said that his name was first on the account, all while still refusing to look at me or barely acknowledge me. When the guy walked to the back room to do something for us, we discussed the odd behavior, which at that point I told my husband to handle the rest and I would walk around and look at products. The time before that the guy who helped us rung us up for an expensive battery we didn't say we wanted and we never knew until we were recycling the other opened boxes a week or so later, as the bag was heavy still. He also misinformed us about the differences in our bill, as we had paid off one phone and bought a new one. All of our experiences before the past year have been great, but we always dealt with the same associate before then. She was attentive, informative, and would give us fair information-- if she knew about a better deal for something we were looking for, she'd tell us. We'd go to the other store, but always come back and have her help us for all of our other purchases. read more

We went there last night to upgrade my phone and we were first being helped out by a blonde lady then I was asking questions about different phones and just kept asking what do we want to do. Well she left and grabbed a different sales person too help. So we worked with him instead. Well the next guy made me feel like if I didn't but apple it was wrong. Then bragged about his air pods, etc. he didn't even let me set my phone up before leaving. He said the WiFi is broken and too just do it at home. I needed to set up my phone. We don't really think the internet was down. Overall horrible experience. Your better off going to the Verizon at Tempe market place. They have some customer service skills at least. I brought my mother to this location to switch her old phone with a newer model that I owned previously. Had to make two trips because the gal who did it the first time did nothing but swap the SIM and SD card and nothing was on the new phone. Upon returning, Derek "helped us" with an attitude because all he wanted was a sale and he wasn't getting one with us. After I told him what was happening with the phone, he proceeded to go through the phone in the same steps I had previously before returning to the store. He spoke to me like I was stupid and didn't know what I was doing the entire time. I brought up a second way to fix the phone and he brushed it off with some wild scenario about terrorists. The way she explained the plan options was confusing and when we had questions she acted as if we were idiots for having them. I think Verizon is a great store overall, but walking into this store and trying to get help is exceedingly painful. I'm here on a Sunday afternoon between church services, and with me are my wife and her younger siblings, who we have for the day. My phone doesn't charge, that's why I'm here. I describe the problem to the assistant that is supposed to help me, and we start talking, but after asking my name and looking up my account, he looks at me and says, 'you aren't an account manager, so I can't help you.' Period. No more troubleshooting, that's the end of the conversation. I Co-own a business, and my business partner is the one that created the Verizon account, so his is the only name on it. If I need to operate anything or change my plan, I just sign in under that username and password. SO. I go about trying to log on using my wife's phone (as mine is out of commission), thinking its going to be a simple process to add myself on as an account manager. I get back in the queue, and shortly later another representative walks over and starts the process to help, I tell him my phone won't charge, and that I know they cant warranty it out unless an account manager is here. He immediately tells me that if I'm not on the account, he can't do anything for me. I told this guy, 'yes, but I'm adding myself to the account now, so that wont be a problem.' He was shocked that i would suggest such a thing, and got this tone in his voice that one would use with an unruly child, and told me that its not ok to do that, they cant help me out, and i need to bring in the account manager, because what I'm doing isn't legal. At that point, tired of being ridiculed, and obviously not getting the help i needed, i decided to take my family and go home! Don't come to this store! It is worth a few more miles' drive to go to the Verizon store on Power and the 60! read more

Have had good experiences with this store.Most staff members I worked with were good--LeTroy and Sung (and some I'm not sure of their names).
