Wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Everything that everyone is saying about them tacking on extra charges to your bill after you leave is true. I bought a phone here yesterday and was never asked if I wanted/needed insurance for it. Then I get a text the next day thanking me for signing up for an insurance plan that's an extra $11 a month. The experience I had with the store prior to finding this out was already negative--i.e. they didn't want to answer questions about the cost or storage of various phones, but had no signage for any of their Samsung phones so that you wouldn't need to ask. But I'm mainly writing this just to warn people that they scam you. Since the store no longer sets up or activates your phone for you, and has you call costumer service with any questions or changes to plan, this store is essentially just there to help you purchase the phone. For that, your better off going to Costco or Best Buy where they won't scam you by charging you for things you never asked for. read more

I made several visits and was prepared to make this last visit my last visit no matter what! Saw a young man helping the older man in front of me and was appalled at his behavior with the man. More training for that rep or maybe another job? Met A very cheerful, professional young man named Recardo Gonzalez who thank goodness rescued me. He saw that I was dealing with a current serious injury and brought me a chair to sit on. He heard my request and spent 40 minutes with me. Having had my issue resolve and so relieved I pointed at him in front of all to see and said " Now that is good customer service?" So grateful to him. read more

I have had two "unlucky" experiences with Gilbert, now. AVOID him. He doesn't address your needs, simply tries to "sell you." He forgets to tell you the important stuff, like you only have 30 days to submit for your rebate, or that they "email" receipts to a verizon account you don't have set up. What is the point of asking for your email if they don't use it - wait, I know, I already received a solicitation to BUY more stuff. UGGGHHHH read more

TWICE we have gotten new phones from this store and they have added services which we did not order. The first time they added an entire new line without telling us. The second time they added insurance and an extended warranty, again which we did not order. Didn't realize they had added extra charges and services until we got the bill. If you buy anything from this store, look over your paperwork and receipts very carefully, and ALSO check your next bill, to make sure you're not getting any extras that you didn't order. read more

Eddie is a scam artist who misled me to sign a contract for a device by saying it was free and not on contract. He is unethical and new buyers of and users of Verizon should be warned! He will say anything to lie and cheat to close a sale. You may think you are getting a great deal but you are getting screwed by Eddie and his cohort Jose. read more

Gilbert was awesome! He helped me with a sim card issue. He was very knowledgeable and professional. A+++++++

Eddie rocks! He's my go-to for account questions and instrument problems, because technology and I are not the best of friends. It's nice to have a person who will be available to walk me through my account issues, and who'll be there when is time to upgrade to my new phone in a couple of months. Thanks, Eddie! read more

Very unhelpful I called customer-service they told me corporate office can-do everything we can the guy at the store literally told me I can deal with that call customer-service and go through them did not want to even bother to help unhappy with Verizon's customer-service On read more

Spoke with Nicolas at the door (didn't even get inside the store). If all the remaining open corporate stores are only accepting "critical" transactions, please tell your corporate customer service (people you talk to when you dial 611 on your phone) to tell customers NOT to go if they have issues with their sim cards. In addition, due to the circumstances we're in due to corona virus please, please be extra nicer and understanding to your customers. Now is not the time to show customers you're the boss (manager). Be sympathetic. We're brand new Verizon customers but with today's experience can't wait to leave Verizon. There's always a nicer/better way to say things. If you're a manager, you should probably have good people skills. Use them. read more

THE WORST! The folks at this store talked us in to giving up our "land line". They promised $10.00 per month off our bill and faster Internet service. They assured my husband and I many times that if we were unhappy with the change we could change back. What a load of BULLoney sauce. Verizon land phone now comes through a modem. The service is terrible! There is constant static on the phone and long delays when you dial the number. Verizon store representatives kept hanging up on us after lengthy wait times. We went down to your Verizon Store and was told if we wanted to change back it would cost $220.00 as an early termination fee. We are so unhappy with Verizon that we offered to pay the $220.00 amount as long as they put the phone back on a copper line. Guess what??? Verizon says once this change is made you can not go back. Oh and the ten dollars off per month on our bill? On the copper line we had call waiting, three way calling etc. Now we no longer have those features. Internet is just as slow as before AND my husband was not aware that by signing the paperwork at your store had accidentally signed another 2 year contract. Good luck getting us to be ANY part of the Verizon family. Congratulations Verizon...for the crummy sum of $220.00 you just lost two customers (different numbers and two expensive plans) of over 10 years AND we are looking for another provider. You walk into the store and you're assaulted by loud contemporary music. This makes it difficult to learn about products and services. When I asked that the music be turned down, was told "NO". I don't understand why they can't turn down the music for 5 or 10 minutes. I have been to several Verizon stores and this is the 1st one that blasted music. read more

Store Manager Angela Hank is rude and condescending. I had a failing Jawbone bluetooth device. Called Verizon's Customer, it's under warranty, go into store to replace. She said no citing policy. I've been loyal Verizon customer for over 10 years now. My husband decided to leave sprint and add himself to my phone plan with Verizon to save money. We were told by one of the employees at this location. Verizon will buy out my husband contract with sprint and all he needed to do was to turn in his old sprint phone to Verizon and purchase a new one with Verizon. For the next couple of weeks everything seemed to be ok. I received multiple text messages from Verizon stating my husband needed to mail in his old sprint phone to them, which he did. All of sudden we get a call from sprint stating that we owe them 600.00 for the old phone they never received from Verizon!!! . . My husband and I immediately went back to this Verizon location. The Verizon employees were not compassionate. Stating we should have gotten everything in writing in regards what the employee sold to us. I tried to explain to the Verizon manager peter . If we have known to turn in our old phone to back the sprint store. We would have no problem that. But we were told to mail the phone to Verizon. Because of a Verizon employee who obviously didn't have have clue on what he was doing and just trying to make a sale. We tried to return my husband phone back Verizon, but the manager Peter told us that we were way past the 14 day phone Which was complete lie!! stated by the Verizon corporate employee who we called to resolve this issue . In the end, my husband had to pay 500 dollars for phone that we didn't have anymore. The Verizon Corporate office couldn't get my husband old phone back from the warehouse. And all they had to offer me and my husband was 250.00 dollars towards our Verizon phone bill. What a rip off!! Stay away from this location!!!! The employees at this location to be retrained on customer service, promotions etc. Most of all HONESTY!!! read more

I went to this particular store due to it's proximity to my home and the fact that I wanted to check out the DROID. I read many negative comments but I'm sure it's hit and miss depending on which Customer Rep. you "let" help you. I was helped by Charles Osburn. Charles rocks! I am a "technological tard" and I told him this. He promptly busted out his DROID and went over anything I asked and explained it in "tard terms." He set up my phone for me and gave me some extra info re: apps etc. He took all the time I needed. No rush and I felt that my money was well spent...not just for the DROID but for Charles' help. I have been to this store in the past for help and have always been treated well. If you feel the particular rep is not doing it for you...ask for someone else. read more

Despite my postiive experience going back to Dec and earlier in 2012.. today's write-up makes me wonder if once these contracts are up if we will renew with Verizon. My partner went in to the store twice..to upgrade his phone to an iPhone. The first time he was told that it was too early and he had to wait til late May. Here it is late May and he made an appt with someone at the store. The person was rude, unhelpful and downright disrespectful. They even LIED to him about they would not port over his established phone number (REALLY????? you want to do that to a customer? ). He got upset and told them then to cancel the purchase and suddenly (!!) they would do that for free. (again.. another REALLY?) he was handed his iPhone with no directions on how to use it (he's not as tech savvy as he used to be . He resisted smartphones for a L O N G time.. ) and he asked them for help. He was told he was on his own. Verizon Wireless, this will show up in my blog and on twitter. You best have a good explanation. Someone is LIVID and I don't blame him for that feeling. You showed him that he was not valued as a customer and we have been Verizon customers for a while. I think YOU ALL need to rethink this particular store.. because based on his experience-- I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. read more

I went to this store for the iPhone 6 plus everything was going great until Gilbert informed me that "due to a technical difficulty" my phone could not be set up for a couple days. I inquired at the time about canceling the order but was told the system was locked. So I de decided to take his advice and wait until today and he would be able to activate my phone. No big deal right????? Wrong! about an hour after waiting at the store I ask to simply cancel my order refund me my money and we will part ways. I was informed that was not possible. So Gilbert continues "working" on my service another hour passes. He informs me that he is now able to refund my purchase and repurchase my phone and problem solved. Well not the case based on the experience I chose not to continue with Gilbert and left the store with my refund...so I thought. My refund has not shown up. Today I waited in line at the Verizon store located at 2894 N Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach, CA. I was in line at 7am and I waited till 11:30 to get into the store. I was with my two and a half year old daughter. The store offered water bottles and donuts which was nice and unexpected. I specially spoke to the store manager after the first hour of waiting in line. I explained to him that I was OK waiting for an iphone 6 plus as long as they had an iphone 6 plus. I mentioned the fact that they know how many phones they have in the store, and they could do a list, check off the phone on the list for the people waiting in line, and then tell other people they will have to order the phone. I stated there was no reason for me to wait several hours in line to place an order. I understand the store wants to sale the most phones possible but its unfair to make customers wait several hours in line to only find out that they are going to have to place an order. WELL... soon as I got into the store I was shown all the products that I should buy with my phone. Then when I went to pick out my phone, I was told that there were NO iphone 6 plus in stock. I had waited approximately 4 hours and been told there would be an iphone 6 plus in stock. This is bad business. It felt like I was in a sales trap, and I can't explain to you how upset I was. I promise to never buy another ear piece, ipad, blue tooth speaker, or any product directly from a Verizon Store unless I hear things change. I know you may not listen to me or this email, but sometimes when you share you story with enough people and sales start lag, change can finally take effect. They lied to my wife...outright lied. She went in to replace her I phone... They pushed her into a jetpack. She has absolutely no need for a jetpack. When I saw the monthly bill, a month later: it costs $175 to terminate. Verizon wireless says,,"oh well". read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. One guy just greets you and puts you on a waiting list then just hangs out on his phone. this one star is only for the service dept. i've never bought anything from the front of the house so no gripe on that end. plus they always seem helpful and AVAILABLE. now let me begin with service: -SUPER slow...i'm talking minimum hour wait for something small (believe me, i've been there more than enough exchanging one broken blackberry storm for the next) -they talk more to each other about their personal drama than you. -not willing to HELP. one person will tell you they can't do anything for you. i've literally asked to speak to someone else. they say they do a little more. no consistency here. -no eye contact! if there was another verizon store that serviced phones in my area, you can bet i'd go there vs. here. get it together manager. get it together verizon. OH...and don't buy a blackberry storm. LEMON. i'm on #6 right now and they STILL can't fix the problem. read more

I was a bit wary looking at the reviews of this store on Yelp. Thankfully, when I went into the store, it was as different as could be. I went around 2PM on a Monday afternoon. I read in previous reviews that this place always had a wait, despite the time, so there's my experience that says that's not true. The staff here is very welcoming. I went in here to order a replacement phone, because my phone was defective. I was in and out of here in less than 10 minutes. It's nice because this Verzion is in a plaza with plenty of parking. read more

The only reason they get a star at all is the cheerful greeting. Michael was rude and condescending, then manager Tony was just as bad. My son called Verizon and they are handling it by phone instead, shipping it free to my house. Never a good idea to treat long-term customers or ANY customers like this. We went back in just long enough to look at equipment and confirm the right model to corporate customer service. read more

Thursday I broke my phone at my kids soccer game. I checked local Verizon's to see if I could run in and grab a new phone. I know the process takes awhile but I arrived at Verizon at 6:27 and a girl walked up to me and I told her, "I won't be long, I don't have enough time. I just want to buy a new phone really quickly and activate it at home. This phone is almost paid off and I can pay the pay off fee. I just really need a phone today." She replied that They were closing soon. My husband looked it up and said they close at 7, which is why I chose this one and according to yelp, it says 8 pm every day. I looked at my watch and said, "It's 6:27, I just need to buy a new phone and go." Then she said, "All of our sales representatives are busy. I can make you an appointment" with a bit of an attitude and I again said, "No, it's fine. I need it today." frustrated with my two kids by my side and no phone. She asked me if I had insurance and I said yes but this phone is almost paid off so I was just thinking of my options. Before I left, I asked, "Well, I started my assurian claim the other day but now that my phone doesn't work, I can't push it through, can you do that for me real quick?" After I asked, I realized she wasn't a sales representative and realized nothing could happen because the sales reps were busy but she replied snotty again, "Well, I'm not Assurian." Ugh! I can't stand snotty people :( I won't be going back. I got home and ordered my replacement through Assurian. Much more helpful but I won't be coming back here again. read more

Who exactly hires the employees that are supposed to be representing Verizon and providing customer service at this Verizon location? Half of the employees here are more interested in watching videos on their phone than assisting customers. While I was greeted at the door, I'm guessing they're paid hourly, with no commission, because I was ignored as if I were a ghost. Good help must be hard to find these days. I will not return to this location. read more

I didnt get the bad reviews here until I went a second time. I was standing by the registers staring at the employees for 5 minutes watching one of them text messaging someone else.
