This store is a trap! Twice they have offered me new devices with free service for two years and both times they lied! I was offered the Ellipsis 7 for $49.00 with 2 years free service only to have the salesperson run from the phone when the charges showed up on my bill. Over and over people made excuses for where he was or why it couldn't be true! I was livid, to no end! I was obliged to pay for a device I never wanted to buy! Round two happened this past April when I went in at Contract renewal time to upgrade my phone. Again, two pushy kid salespeople try to convince me that if I try out their silly HUM device it will be free and save me 4 bucks on my bill. I didn't believe them, nor did I want the device. They made me take the thing anyway! I called to complain the next day and was told that I would never be charged, to try it and 'heck, it's free'! Now it's on my bill and nobody will take it back, or off the bill! I'm done with this store! They lie, manipulate and make your sales experience absolutely miserable! I think the manager's name here is Nate, and whatever it is, he's a fucking saint. My family's on some joint plan, and it was decided we'd turn in our phones for upgrades, all at once. This ended up being a two-hour debacle, and even though I'm sure Nate wanted to kill himself when my mom started pouting and insisting he had to find her a Tinkerbell phone case, he never lost it. It was so incredible overall that I asked for his supervisor's info so I could send along a compliment. The store itself is fine, there's, y'know, a lot of phones, and a service desk, and the neatest part is that when you go in, they take your name, and there's an electronic board on the wall with the names of who's in line in what order. I just purchased a Droid incredible online and when I turned it on the camera didn't work. I stopped by at 3pm on a Saturday to see if someone could either fix it or replace it. Jackie at the service counter was helpful and quick in trying to figure out what was wrong. She offered to get me a new phone, but as soon as she opened the new phone, my camera started working on the old phone. Maybe she has a magic touch, I don't know. I got my Blackberry last Friday, and I have to say it was the quickest and best experience I've had at Verizon. Granted we were upgrading the whole families phones, it still went quicker than expected. The guy who helped me and my mom was helpful in answering our million questions, while also being a little humorous about it. Some people don't like this, but I think it makes the experience more interesting. The best part about it was he was helpful in giving us the best deal and giving us the biggest discounts his supervisor would allow. In the end we saved about $100 more than when I previously went in to talk to them about an early upgrade. ON TOP, of all this he switched my mom's phone to my old one for free(in the past, this sort of switch cost about $50) Best verizon visit ever, and the music they were playing wasnt too bad either. This verizon has taken a step up, I don't know if it's different management or what...but the employees seem to be more relaxed and helpful than before. In the end I got a blackberry, phone cover, privacy screen protector, and car charger for just over $100 (after rebate and Verizon VIP stuff was taken off of course) Pretty frickin' good deal if you ask me. read more

They do some unethical things at this location. I went in to get my broken phone replaced and was told to pick out any new phone i would like to get. When i picked the new phone the associate that helped me told me all he needed to do was get something approved by his manager. He comes back with a Wireless Hotspot and my phone and tells me that the only way i would be able to get my new phone is to buy the Hotspot. He tries to say how it is a "bundle package" and how there is no way i can get the phone without buying the Hotspot. He explains that even though i am getting a new phone and a Hotspot my monthly payment wont change. So i buy it just to get the new phone. What i later find out from a friend who works for Verizon is that there is no such thing as the "bundle package" like the one the sales associate sold me and he pretty much just sold me a product i didn't want nor need. My friend explains how my payment might be the same but without the extra cost of the unnecessary Hotspot it would actually be lower. I later call customer service to confirm this and they tell me the same thing and explain how this is an UNETHICAL TRANSACTION on the sales associates behalf. So i go back to confront the sales associate and his managers, and they try to tell me they did it because my payment would stay the same but i would get more services. We proceed to talk about the UNETHICAL TRANSACTION that the sales associate did and i end up having to leave because they did not want to let me just return the Hotspot that i was forcefully sold. I ended up having to leave that store and go to another store that returned the Hotspot for me with NO PROBLEM. The most shady and worst customer service i have ever experienced. read more

My advice is get EVERYTHING in writing BEFORE you sign anything or leave the store. Getting anything reversed after the fact is impossible. BEWARE! Verizon has the WORST customer service! I have the s7 edge (which is deemed waterproof on the Samsung website for 30 minutes in 1.5 meters of water). I told the associate that I was having problems getting rid of an error on my screen and that I might have gotten it wet the previous night. The associate proceeded to tell me that it's not actually water proof and that they could do nothing for me. I asked about getting a replacement phone through my accidental coverage and he said it would cost $150 dollars. (Even though it's a phone that should not be damaged with a splash of water). Besides being a little irritated that I would have to pay for a manufacturer error, I was willing to pay $150 dollars because it's much less than the retail value of a new phone. I asked if there was any option for a loaner phone while my new one was being sent and he said he could not help me with that. I would have been stuck paying $150 for a manufacturer error and phoneless. I proceeded to call Samsung and they were equally, if not more, unhelpful and unwilling to help create a reasonable solution for this situation. I went through a similar horrible customer service experience the last time I had an issue with my phone. This visit was after 1.5 hours of working withVerizon corporate customer service (Dina), and she assured me that she had posted to my account that I WAS eligible for an upgrade to the 4520. Spoke to Steve at the Verizon store in Long Beach, and he said we do not see the notes authorizing the upgrade. He also REFUSED to try to call customer service saying "it doesn't work that way". So I went into this store one unhappy customer and came out *much* happier. It was entirely due to Tim, the manager (and Verizon should thank him, as I was ready to return to T-Mobile). Long story short, Verizon and FedEx jointly screwed up my phone order, and the phone I should have received is somewhere between LA and wherever. As a result, my account was in a limbo that could not be fixed. There appeared to be no solution--I didnt have the phone I paid for, and no order on the horizon. These phones (iPhone 6s Plus, rose gold) have been very hard to find and I had already waited several weeks for mine. I was very unhappy about the whole thing. So Tim to the rescue! Despite my anger and frustration, he remained calm and nice, which actually calmed me down. I admit that I was taking out my frustration on him, but it really deserved to be aimed at FedEx and Verizon customer service. Tim made endless calls to get my account of of limbo and I was able to leave the store with my new phone! Tim and his powerful beard are awesome! :) Really, I can't say enough about how he helped despite my irritation with the entire mess, none of which was his fault. I've been here a handful of times, with mixed results, but ultimately "meh" sums it up. The store is always busy, and crawling with people, which is fine, good for business etc, but there is a line between reasonable wait times and I'm annoyed and going elsewhere. Once I went to try to buy a MiFi mobile internet device, the salesman knew so little about the device, that it was a complete waste of time. When I asked about the difference between the Verizon and Sprint networks, he said 'Oh, well everyone knows Sprint sucks" and moved on. While that may be true, it's not exactly useful or professional. So, I ended up buying the MiFi from the verizon website, where the online chat person was super helpful and was able to give me a good deal. The next time I went to this store, it was also super crowded and I needed tech support on said MiFi. The line was about 6 people long, took about 15 minutes to be my turn, but they were able to resolve the issue with a softward update, which the phone tech support was not able to do. Finally, I went a few weeks ago to look at possibliy switching to an adroid phone (from my iphone). Super crowded again, took WAY too long to get anyones attention to ask a few basic questions. read more

My niece's phone went on the fritz and she needed to get it replaced. We had gone to the Lakewood Verizon store and they couldn't help us because they didn't have a replacement. They called this store and they had one so we drove down. The service was awesome. Everyone was helpful, and I mean everyone. Not once did we get a staff member tell us they couldn't help or they didn't know the answer. My niece was about to get her replacement phone and all her contacts transferred to the new phone. Wow!!! Had a really bad experience when we made some phone upgrades. The bill did not match what we were told initially. After a couple rough weeks of phone calls and visits to the store, the new manager Jorge worked with me in what I thought was a fair manner. Wow! I just took a quick look through the ratings on this store, and it's amazing to see the contrast. It seems either people love this location or they hate it. I LOVE IT. I've been here a grand total of three times. The first was several years ago to get my first phone with Verizon. I remember the service, because I shopped the other carriers to find the best deals. I can remember the guy that helped me. He was patient, answered all my questions (I can ask a lot), and I found two years later that he told me the truth. Which is always a big plus in the wireless phone industry! The last two visits were about an upgrade, and a phone replacement. On both occasions I went to the Verizon store at Marina Pacifica first. They tried to take an unbelievable amount of money, and totally change my plan on both occasions. (read the review I have for them - my one and only "bad" review for anyone). On both occasions, I found the customer service with this store was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and honest. I'm not saying I didn't have to wait my turn, it's a busy store. But once I had the reps attention, he/she was focused. This last visit was with the technicians. My phone was immediately replaced for $50. Which I knew was the standard operating procedure because it had happened to me before (had to replace my phone with no insurance). Thank you again for being a great staff! Obviously, there might be a couple of "bad apples" in the bunch since the ratings here vary so drastically, but I have not had those experiences. If you do choose this location, make sure it's not during the store's busiest hours, and you will be fine! read more

After reading some reviews from here, I was a bit apprehensive about going to this Verizon store. My blackberry decided to poop out on me today. I mean completley dead. Nothing I can do to will bring it back. I Anyway, I went in to see what they could do. Verizon dude was able to see my right away. He spent almost an hour trying to figure out what's wrong with my blackberry. Finally, I told him to give up and I was willing to join the dark side; owning my first iphone. Haven't written a review in a long time, but my sales person deserves a shout out. I know I'm going to butcher her name, but I think it was Nanise or Nanins? Dang my memory and I can't find her card. Anyway, my daughter and I walked in to the store, in search of her first phone. UGH! I had dreaded this day. I didn't want her to get a smart phone, but I wasn't sure of what my options were. Anyway, our sales person was fantastic! Easy to talk to and broke down everything in terms that we could understand. She looked for the best deal and let me know how my bill would be affected. No surprises. Then recommended, just the right phone for us. Not the most expensive phone, mind you, but a good one in the middle, durable, with not too many options that she doesn't need. Of course, my daughter wanted her phone right away, so she had another employee get it from another store since they were out. And this particular model was already charged! YAY The best part. She directed everything (except for the bill) directly to my daughter, who is 11. She showed her the features, asked what she wanted the phone to be able to do, etc. My daughter felt very grown up having a conversation with Nanise (sp), and I appreciated the fact she recognized that it was my daughter who was going to be using the phone. Excellent customer service. We will be back....probably for the smartphone when she is tired of her "Phone Henge". ;) read more

He helped me find a phone I liked according to my specifications and then, right when most salespeople are anticipating closing a deal, he discovered that my data plan wouldn't work with my new phone and advised me to hold off. He was genuinely sorry about the fact that this new data plan would cost me more and advised me to WAIT. You don't find sales people that care like that! This Verizon store will get my business when I can afford to buy a new phone, thanks to Kenny. He went above and beyond figuring this out, even busting out a pen and paper to figure this all out with me. Kenny, you rock!!! Very very unhelpful!! I came here because I was transferring 2 phone lines under my account online and I had to call the service line after being on the phone for 40 minutes (spoke to 2 reps and a tech guy) they kept getting an error and I had to go to the store to get new SIM cards and they would be able to assist me in completing the process. I walked in the store (there was a group of employees just laughing and talking) explained to the guy and he said he could only give me the SIM cards and I would have to call myself to complete it. I spent another 40 minutes with the rep on the phone to complete the process. Sorry to interrupt the social meeting, I didn't know Verizon employees didn't get paid to assist paying customers with these kind of issues. read more

I came here to have them check out a phone that was having issues and to check out iPads. The store was pretty busy but I got helped almost immediately. The staff were knowledgable and friendly. The woman who just helped me was nice and helpful but kept calling me "sweetie" which, as a customer service professional myself, is unprofessional and comes across as condescending. Especially when the girl was probably around my age. I felt so annoyed that I ended up leaving after less than ten minutes not even mentioning my interest in buying an iPad because she was already helping me and I didn't want to be rude and ask for somebody else. I can just go another Verizon retailer for an iPad and not have to worry about being given a pet name that I call my 2 month old daughter. Other than that, pretty good store. I had a problem with my wife's phone and could not resolve it. so I went to the store on bellflower. first of all . when I walked in some lady was standing there and I ask to sign in. after that I was pass over two more times. at that point I asked this guy to help me and . there was another man that was buying expensive phone and my little cheep phone they didn't won't to help me. maybe because they couldn't make enough money off of me. this lady saleswomen made a comment that I heard . That this guy can wait he only had a little cheep phone so he can wait I'll help you. But the guy came in after me. My sister was so kind to buy me an Apple Watch for my birthday, but it was the wrong style. We went to the Verizon store with hopes to exchange it or return it if possible, but we were out of the 14 day window return policy. RACHEL, was so kind and helpful. She attempted different ways to see how she could help us. First she attempted an exchange, but the watch I wanted was out of stock. Then she attempted to return, and it was successful. We were a week past hour window, and she still made an exception for us. She even got her manager involved to make sure she could help us. I went in to that store thinking that it wasn't going to be possible to return or exchange, and RACHEL made it happen. She made my day and made me feel like we weren't just people buying things, and it mattered to her if we were happy. When I go back there, I will be sure to make an appointment with her. The below is not specific to this location, which is local, but Verizon overall. We have had a plan with Verizon since 2014. It has felt over the years they have gotten increasingly aggressive with additional charges and fees, quickly causing monthly bills to escalate. The apparent expectation from Verizon is that the customer make routine complaints so it can be adjusted. I just feel a company should do right without being asked, especially as calls can take 1-1.5 hours with agents speaking over you. Unfortunately, it's clear that Verizon is not customer focused but surcharge focused. As a company that's their prerogative, however, as a consumer with a recent phone bills higher than a car payment, I will be going to a more consumer focused wireless provider. read more

I came in to get a SIM card for a MiFi device that I bought on eBay and wanted to simply swap the device for an iPad mini that I have on a two-year contract Eddie, the manager, would not approve the transaction and wanted me to open a third line and then cancel within a month This is the second time this has occurred - The other location was in Cypress. It took me many hours to clean up the first time and I won't let it happen again Recommendation:: go to the retail store to see the phones and ask questions. You can then do everything online. I went into the Verizon Wireless store on Bellflower yesterday and it was perhaps the worst customer service I have had in YEARS. I walked in and mentioned that I wanted to branch off from my parent's family plan and start one with my husband. The person who was making appointments (I wish I had caught his name, but the badge said Store Manager & he was a short, heavy-set man) was extremely rude. He asked for "the phone number" and I asked him do you need my phone number or my father's who is the account owner... *crickets*... he just stared at his tablet. So I asked again... *crickets*. My husband then suggested that I give him my number. I asked him multiple questions about how I could branch off to my account, and he kept playing with the tablet in front of him, and said that I could not do it without my father's release. I asked if I could have him on the phone and verify his account information) and he said no. Which is strange because I have done this before. He also would not tell me when I could upgrade, and didn't even mention that I can verify on my own through the myVerizon app. I then left without starting my own account because the manager of the store was so unhelpful and rude. Wasn't impressed with manager nor salesperson. Came in with my husband to combine carriers - adding my 3 lines from AT&T to his existing account. After talking to the sales person about what we wanted to do, I felt like she had her own agenda, making as much in commission/bonuses as she could.
