I took in my iPhone 16 pro due to a faulty logic board according to the Apple store, they had quoted me $650 to replace it. I took it to Cheapest iPhone Repair to see if they could fix it, they said it could be the IC charging chip and quoted me $250 IF they were able to fix it. Unfortunately, the phone still did not function after the repairs, and they confirmed it would in fact require a full logic board replacement. I ended up purchasing a new phone but since the phone did not work after the repairs, they did not charge me a cent. I appreciate the fact that they tried to fix the phone, it was not their fault the repair did not work, the phone simply did require a new logic board, but at least they tried the repair and did not charge me for it, thanks a lot, great service, I would highly recommend. read more

Recently I noticed my Apple Watch is about to reach 80% maximum capacity which means it was time to replace my watch battery. I read a previous review and learned this spot does replace Apple Watch battery, so I decided to stop by this shop on Sunday afternoon. [Parking]: The shop is located within the same building as Gen Korean BBQ House in Cerrito (on the 2nd floor) and this is one of the busiest plazas in Cerrito. However I had no issue finding an available parking spot on Saturday and Monday afternoons. I guess the trick is visiting this spot outside of lunch or dinner hours. [Service]: Free diagnostic check up, cracked screen replacement, carrier unlock, water damage repair, etc. [Process]: The staff first asked what Apple Watch model do I have and said battery replacement for Apple Watch Series 7 (41mm) was $75 and it was cheaper than doing it at the Apple Store ($99). However the staff said they don't have 41mm battery available and it will take 2-3 days to receive & install the battery. I dropped my watch off and the staff said (1) I will receive a text message when it is ready for pick-up and (2) I pay on the day of pick-up. I gave my name and phone number for contact info and I did receive a pick-up ready text message 2 days later. I have confirmed that my Apple Watch is officially back to 100% maximum capacity. This place is not recommended. My screen on my iPhone 14 pro max went green but everything still worked for 3 days I had my phone like that because I was out of town. I was able to use Siri to call and to text and was able to still receive phone calls. I went in and the owner Justin told me that it was my display screen that had to be replaced. There are two options the generic brand and the name brand. I asked him if there was a difference and he said if you put it side by side you can tell so I went with the cheaper generic which was $250 before taxes. As soon as he installed it and gave it to me I immediately was not happy. The screen was very low quality and was not bright. I asked him to change it to the more expensive version because he mislead me that there was no difference. He stated they didn't have any and I would have to come by the next day because they would be getting a shipment. The next day comes no shipment and another 2 days goes by before I can switch out my screen. This time is was the younger Asian gentlemen I believe his name is Tyler. He changed my screen and the screen turned off and restarted as soon as he gave it to me. He told me it was fine and I proceeded to pay the difference which was an additional $153 and leave when I got to the elevator the phone turned off and restarted again so I went back and he messed with the phone and ended up telling me it was a bad screen replace the screen with another screen. After waiting about an hour he finally got the screen to work. I use the phone for one day before it wouldn't hold a charge and kept overheating. I called them I spoke with Jose and he told me to come back in and they would have to take my phone in for a few days. They suspected when the screen was changed some thing in the motherboard got damaged. He proceeded to tell me normally they are responsible for stuff like this but they're going to fix it. Which is total bull, you're fixing it because you know you messed it up. Just own up to it and not try to claim there was water damage. They gave me a loaner phone for the time being but it was an iPhone 6 and was basically useless because the version was so old. I called to check up on my phone 2 days later and they said the would call me to let me know and never did. When I called 5 hours later to follow up Jose said that he text the guy but never go a response. He then tells me he talk to his boss Justin and the phone will be ready today on weds so they had my phone for 5 whole days. I call to follow up and they tell me the phone is there at the shop I asked if it's ready and Jose responds with when we opened it up there was water damage and corrosion. If this was the case then why did they have my phone for 5 more days and didn't say anything!?! The phone was working fine only the screen needed to be replaced it was still making calls and was still vibrating and working even the owner Justin said so that it was still working when I gave it to him originally but now it magically doesn't work? This establishment is a joke. They ruined my phone and instead of owning up to it gave me the run around. Don't tell me you'll call with updates and you don't. Don't tell me something is fixed and my phone is acting up on its own when it wasn't before you messed with it. They ruined my phone and is claiming that there was water damage. Funny that it worked fine prior to them messing with it. If I were you I would go elsewhere and not deal with this establishment they are beyond unprofessional and do not know what they are doing. They'll probably ruin your device like they did mine and when they do they won't take responsibility and will blame it on water damage when your phone has never been dropped in water. Learn from my mistakes and take your business elsewhere this establishment doesn't care about you or your items. **** UPDATE**** took the phone to another repair shop to get a second opinion when they opened up the phone It was missing a shield that they conveniently didn't put back. There also was no corrosion or water damage that this place claimed but I already knew that. The other place was able to fix my screen but the phone keeps restarting and they said it was a mother board issue that more than likely something happened when this place was trying to change out my screen. my phone literally had no issues prior just needed a screen the other shop is cheaper and has better quality screens they also said if things weren't working it would all not work. if it got wet and corroded, it wouldnt be working fine and then sudden stop. Good news is I took it to apple and they're willing to trade it in but bad news is I have to purchase another phone. Save your money and go elsewhere to people who are honest and forthcoming and don't try to swindle you. Karma is a B, and this place will get what they deserve eventually. read more

I thought the camera lens on my iPhone was cracked and went to CIR to have them repair it. It turns out it was the protective cover I put over my lens that was cracked, not my camera lens itself. They removed the protective cover and cleaned up my camera lens. When I went to pay, they said it was free of charge. How nice! read more
