I like Spectrum! We have had Spectrum (formerly Charter) for internet and email for well over a decade. Their app is okay, it's not the best app; however, the customer service are always beyond helpful, kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our Spectrum internet was erratic for a while, and the technicians came out to our house several times before actually fixing the issue. Our router crapped out once, and my husband had to spend an inordinate amount of time waiting in line to swap out the bad router with a new one. Any time we have had an internet outage, a phone call to Spectrum gets us set up with a refund for the internet down time, which is typically around $1.00 or so, and I don't bother with the calls much anymore. I like their text messaging system with which they advise you of both an outage in our area and the outage's resolution. That's nice information to have! Spectrum is crept up in pricing over the years and we recently switched to AT&T Fiber. For now, it's "so long" to Spectrum; however, it's nice to know they service our rural area should we need them in the future! read more

Spectrum is unfortunately is the only cable, phone etc. where I live. I used to have Comcast where I lived for cable etc and they were great. Techs came to your house to set up or if something was wrong. Spectrum doesnt come to your house, you have to be the technician. They want you to fix everything over the phone. They want you to be top notch cell phone expert who can have several things open and going on while you are reading all the repair work they are having you do. No one is coming to your house. I went to this Spectrum store today to add a mobile line so I could watch Dodger games for free on SNLA +. I worked with both Eddie and Connie. They were fantastic. They helped me cancel my existing Google Fi mobile account and setup my new mobile line at Spectrum - which triggered the free Dodger deal. They were knowledgeable, professional and a joy to work with. I asked Connie if she could possibly reduce my spectrum internet costs. She looked at my account and ended up cutting my monthly charges in half saving me $86 per month (I have two houses so it was $43 each). A 50% reduction. I don't give many low reviews, but they earned this one. Other than calling me a derogatory name, the service, helpfulness, and organization couldn't have been worse. Maybe it could be worse if they all were playing video games on their phones instead of helping us, but that would probably be it. Our router stopped working so we called the Spectrum help line who ordered us a new one and said it could be delivered or we could pick it up at any Spectrum store. We thought, decrease carbon, make it faster, we'll pick it up in person. Went over to our local Spectrum store on Bellflower Blvd, put my name in the kiosk, waited 15 min and then when I got called I was told I could not pick up the new router without bringing in the other one (not told to me on the phone) and I needed to be added as a user on the account since my spouse is the primary (also not told to me on the phone). So I left, unplugged all the equipment, boxed it up, had my wife add me to the account and returned the following day to do it all over again. Put my name in the kiosk, waited 20 min since it was busier, got called up and was told she needed to call it in and not do it on the app or online, it had to be called in. Ok, that's fine. But communicate that. Expressly say that "You will be turned away if she doesn't call it in. You gotta call. MAKE SURE YOU CALL, not through app, got it? It was told as such a whatever detail that it was easily missed. And even if I missed that detail (which btw, what's the difference? She calls or logs in and changes it, she's adding me. Why is a call a vital step?), why not try to help me complete my request in some way. "Yes, unfortunately it does need to be a phone call. Tell you what. Do you want to just maybe step to the side for a second and call her? Or I can call her from here just to verify. She can get you added and then I'll bring you right back up and get you on your way. Sorry about that." What I got was, you didn't do it the right way, next! When I came back I got a different employee, he returned my router and got me ready to go. Third time's a charm! Granted, I had been added to the account via phone call at this point. He had everything he needed to complete the exchange but at least the conversation was way more helpful and empathetic in tone. The whole Spectrum process is broken and most of the employees here seemed burnt out, need better training or need to be supported by the larger Spectrum corporate policies because by the time the customers walk in here, we haven't been prepared properly on how to be successful and we are pissed off. read more

I can not express how much I dislike this company and the entire experience of changing service. I always return my equipment in person because I've had the company accuse me of keeping it (glad I had the receipt). But the process of simply returning the equipment is agony. Despite every piece of equipment having a unique serial, you have to jump through hoops to "verify" yourself several times. This is after the emotionally manipulative and abusive/gaslighty process of calling to cancel. My favorite part was when "Jizzie" (? Couldn't tell from her handwriting) pretended like her feelings were personally hurt when I said I was returning equipment because I'd canceled service. Just a gross company culture if that's how they train people. At the end of the day, Frontier offered better speeds and prices; don't do this gaslighty gross emotional manipulation. Jizzie pretended to be "sad" several times when I declined to sign up for a new internet service despite me explaining that it was simply a matter of money. Don't worry - I'm sure she won't lose any sleep over it. I deeply, deeply hated my experience in that store. I recently purchased a phone at the 2310 Bellflower Location in Long Beach. Buying a new phone is rarely that difficult of an experience. The sales consultant tells you what products they have, and some information about what you're buying. And they set you up on a payment plan. Not at this location. All the sales consultants seem to know is when their next break is. For me, this was a 4 visit experience of being hustled and lied to. First, I purchased the iPhone 17e, thinking this would be an upgrade from my iPhone 11pro. Had I been able to hold or see the product before I bought it, I would not have bought it in the first place. No sample was available. In short, I returned the 17e. Felt flimsy and cheap. I would have returned it the day I bought it, but my sales person rushed to their break before I could say, I didn't like the product in hand. On my next visit, when I went to return the 17e, Lizzy was my sales consultant. Or that's what I remember on the name tag. For reference, this complaint is in reference to order # 12386573295719 I told her I'd like to make a return. She sighed and rolled her eyes. I thought that was an odd reaction. Here I am, a guaranteed phone sale and you're annoyed? Then I asked about the new phones available and if I could maybe unlock one and hold it because I may want to purchase an older model. She said they don't unlock the samples because they don't know if I'll steal them. Rude. I offered my ID and keys while I hold the product, but she refused that as well. She didn't make an effort to sell me on any of the newer phones. No product knowledge, no notes about any of the new iPhones. So I'm going to go with what I know. I have a friend with an iPhone 15 and she's happy. This location had one, and Lizzy says my payment plan will only charge me $16 a month. Great, I'm sold. I check my bank statement, I was charged the full amount of the phone. I did not plan for this financially. Nor should I have to explain that. And to add more of an insult to inconvenience, she didn't tell me this phone was a final sale. I would not have bought the phone in the first place if I knew that. I find that out when I came to adjust the first billing issue. So now I feel hustled. And frankly, I don't want to do business with this location anymore. I decide, I'm returning the iPhone 15. I have a right to give my business to whoever I choose and it won't be here. At this point I'm on visit 3, and William tells me my return can't be resolved because an acting manager wasn't available to override the final sale. (William was actually very polite and I do believe he did everything he could from his end) Please note: Before I purchased the iPhone 15, Benjamin verbally confirmed I'd be paying off my phone in payments. Lizzy did as well. $16 a month is what I was quoted. Now I'm stuck with a phone that hasn't been activated. And to this day, Benjamin has refused to let me return my iPhone 15. It's in perfect condition and still in box. Benjamin told me to take this issue to Spectrum's customer service. So I made that call. Even less help there. When I called Spectrum's 611 customer service, they said this is a store issue. So as I see it, this is on Benjamin and his team. From my experience, these sales consultants will bamboozle you into buying a phone you won't be happy with and they won't even set you up on a payment plan if you ask for it. Probably so they can get their commission faster. And they won't do right by you. read more

First off we have been charter- spectrum customers for our business as well as our residents and we have mobile service with them for years now and it's sad to say that like other big corporations the service and support just goes sideways just like eBay just like Facebook anywhere else. They make it so hard to get real help. We we went in the store today to replace a non-functioning modem and router that we've had for a while. We arrived at the bellflower store at 10:15 a.m. to find only two employees working, 8 to 10 people waiting. 20 minutes later we got called and all we were trying to do is replace a non-functioning modem and router that we're leasing. It took them 2 hours to figure it out and I saw people leaving equipment without appointments pissed off because they were waiting too long and that's not how this should be run...horrible to see the employee calling his own co. And getting sent to six or seven depts to get anything done...really stupid....ughh! read more

So I sold my iPhone 14 I bought from spectrum 2.5 years ago for $400 today & then I bought the iPhone 16 pro max in champagne gold from this location and added it onto my cell phone plan of $55, and $33 a month so around $88 a month I pay now! Spectrum is currently hemorrhaging about 2.000 customers a day due to cord cutting and is locked in a bitter carriage dispute with Disney over fees for ABC and ESPN -- a dispute that looks like it could go on for months. Currently, Spectrum pays Disney about $20 per subscriber per month to carry their networks. Disney of course, wants more as cord cutting bites hard into their easy money cash flow and makes their gargantuan outlay for sports rights unpalatable. The NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA and various College Conferences want their money and could care less that their sugar daddy ATM has fallen on hard times. I can tell you from previous disputes, customers will not see a thin, red dime rebated. That's just how the cable industry rolls -- dig deep while the government regulators look the other way. JD Power routinely ranks Spectrum dead last in customer service and service interruptions. Again, 481 one star customers must be on to something. They're drek, which is about the nicest four letter word I could come up with. A one star rating. Your 32 million customers have spoken loud and clear. This is a WARNING to any and all future customers of this company-CAVEAT EMPTOR...everything is made to look just fine, but if you'd like to avoid being sent to collections merely because you dared to cancel your account, if you'd like to avoid them giving out your private numbers to anyone they choose; and finally if you'd like to avoid having them call you incessantly for whatever reasons they choose, ignoring cease and desist orders, they simply make their own rules, even if they are against local and State laws. I am filing a multi million dollar lawsuit against them; it is at this point, a private civil suit, but our attorneys think this is partly criminal behavior, so a complaint will also be filed with federal authorities as trying to talk to Spectrum is a lot like trying to talk to an immovable object, you can talk, and talk, but they won't budge!
