Walked in to pay off my phone and unlock it so I could switch carrier. First dude that helped me said he'll see if it gives him the ability to unlock after the payment goes through. Said it sometimes gives them the option to do so, unfortunately it didn't so I'd have to call 611. I called and got a bad rep so I went back inside to see if they could try again. Got a different guy this time and this guy tells me they don't do it in store. I said from my understanding you can. He said let me check with my manager. Comes back and says no they don't. This is the 4th Verizon store we have gone to (after Torrance, Carson ,Hawthorne). The first three stores were an absolute nightmare with inexperienced sales people and pushy sales tactics that didn't explain what we were getting. Our experience at this location was by far the BEST in-store iPhone shopping experience we have ever had in the entirety iPhones have existed. Brandon was an absolute rockstar in explaining everything and we were in and out within 10 minutes with a new phone and a better understanding of our phone plan and why we should keep the current plan we have. We came here last weekend to upgrade my dad's phone from an IPhone 7 to an IPhone 16. I have to give it to Anthony who helped him as he had amazing patience responding to my dad's repeated questions. He's not the easiest person to deal with in his old age and Anthony didn't show one sign of frustration. The wait for an available associate does take a while but it is worth the wait. I had a terribly awful experience with Verizon where I was not only unknowingly signed up for a second line without my consent at a Verizon authorized retailer but also because the phone I ordered for pickup was the wrong phone and the exchange wasn't processed correctly by another employee I had been paying for two phones and two lines the last few months..... This was an aggravating experience and I was ready to leave Verizon completely but BRANDON listened to my concerns, dug deeper to uncover every issue I wasn't aware about and made sure to take the time however long to make sure I was getting credited in every way possible. I felt totally taken care of and heard and I truly believe if it wasn't Brandon who I had been paired with for assistance today I would not have had the same outcome. He helping me apply promotions to my account I wasn't even aware of so I pay the best possible monthly bill going forward. I upgraded in May. I turned my phone in at the store. Then for two months I get texts and emails from Verizon saying I needed to turn in my phone or lose my credit. Even though my account had a note with the transaction number saying I tunred in the phone. More than seven calls to customer service and four trips to the store with no one being able to do anything about it. Then someone put a $290 on my account and didn't tell me. My bill is autopay so I didn't notice the credit and that they didn't charge my account for two months. Then they suddenly found the missing phone and charged back the credit I didn't know about and now say I owe them $377. I go in today and the kid that works there is cussing out someone on the phone and telling them to come to the store to fight him. "You know where I fucking work." I'm counting down the days until I can switch carriers and never, ever look back. The last almost three months have been the absolute worst customer experience I've ever had. A calvalcade of screw ups and wasted hours with me holding the bag and tied to it in the end. read more

Horrible experience. I got a new phone with this Verizon store in August of this year, so literally 3 months ago. When I purchased my phone I purchased a screen protector as well. I was told that if the screen breaks I had a warranty on it and could come in and get it replaced for free. I brought my phone in today because my screen shattered and I was turned away. Don't expect professional and curtious help from this location. They are human robots that can't function outside their programming. You are going to waste so much time every time you have to visit the store for returns, troubleshooting, questions, purchases, and soforth. When you buy their phones, you are going to walk out with a new 3 year contract if you want to save on the cost of the phone. You will also be charged a restocking fee for any new defective phone that you choose to return during the first 30 days. When you do the numbers, you are going to realize that it's all a marketing tactic in which you are not saving anything. You are way better off buying your phone and supplies through other channels such as Bestbuy, where you can purchase items on sale without any marketing scams or a long-term contract. read more

Wow! My husband's 2022 Samsung phone was having volume problems. The sound would cut out, so we brought it in here, and Jose helped us. He was magnificent! Cesar helped my husband and I with my phone and it was a great experience. We walked in and were greeted immediately. Cesar let us know he was checking in us in and as soon as he could he was going to help us. The customer he was attending to seemed very shady, and was trying to pull a fast one on them. George and Gerber were some of the best customer service people I have ever come in contact with. *First off, this all took place last year, March and June as I recall. Gerber was a manager who stayed late to make sure I got my new phone back on track and I wouldn't have to go the weekend without a phone. It was SPECTACULAR!!!! Verizon needs to give that man a raise and more paid time off!!! He deserves it. George, on the other hand, was a technical genius. (George worked at the Seal Beach store as I recall.) I even called Verizon customer service on the phone and they were telling me they needed to talk to the associates and the associate told me she couldn't do anything and would not speak with the customer service rep on the phone. He was shocked hearing this as he was on speaker phone. The in store people charged me a new line, added perks I did not ask for, and all I went in for was an even exchange on a watch that's battery was defective. This is my go-to Verizon store. I want to give a special shout out to Naomi. She is amazing. She went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. I recently lost my husband and I came in to return his cell phone and transfer his iPad to my name. Naomi looked at my account and updated it to include iCloud storage, Apple TV and Apple Music amenities plus lowered my bill! She was able to get me $40 credit because I was being charged for cellular on the iPad but the cellular wasn't turned on! She made a suggestion to register to ZAGG to replace the screen protector which was scratched and offered to replace the new one for free. She helped me sync all my devices and was so kind, patient and professional at all times. I know there are other things she did and want to acknowledge her outstanding customer service. If I could give this location negative stars I would. I will NEVER go back here after my most recent experience. The "manager" Danny should be fired and re-educated on how to provide proper customer service. I bought a phone on Monday and was offered $1000 off if I traded in my old phone. The store didn't have the phone I wanted so I had to pick it up from another location. The guy who I was working with told me all I had to do was drop off my old phone once I picked up the new phone and I would get the $1000 credited to my account since the offer was accepted. When I went to drop off my old phone on Friday , I had to wait awhile before someone helped me. I got so lucky (sarcasm) to have to deal with Danny. I explained the situation to him and he acted like I was making it up because he said I was only going to get $415 off for my trade in. I told him that's not what I was told when I bought the new phone and I was going to get the $1000 off like I was promised. He gave me an ultimatum and told me the only person who could help me was the original guy I was working. He told me I had to come back and make an appt to see that guy, which I really didn't have time for. Basically, Danny didn't want to help because he wasn't going to get any commission from the sale. I rearranged my schedule and ended up making an appt for later that day. At this point as I'm walking away, I'm frustrated because I had other things to do so under my breath I said "F this". Danny became sensitive and claimed I said "F you" which I did not. He proceeded to cause a scene in the store and say he was cancelling my appt and I can go somewhere else. Obviously, Danny can't hear and didn't learn in school that you shouldn't make assumptions. First of all, the new appt wasn't with him so I don't know why he thinks he has the power to cancel his coworkers' appts. I told him he's not cancelling my appt because they were going to give me the $1000 off for my trade in. He proceeded to act like a jerk. I tried to be the bigger person and apologize even though at that point, I shouldn't have. Danny still continued to claim he was cancelling my appt and wasn't helping. I asked to speak to a manager but Danny claimed he was the "manager". This is exactly why younger people like Danny shouldn't be managers. They don't know handle conflict in a professional manner. It's not against the law to say a curse word and another guy in the store earlier said IDAGF when someone told him his shirt was on backwards. Danny didn't "cancel" his appt or refuse to help him. The security guard was probably the only decent employee in that store. He pulled me to the side and said to take a deep breath and go to another Verizon store. I went to another Verizon store and explained what happened at the Bellflower location. The guy there was so nice and willing to help. He said the $415 off was showing in my account but he pulled up records from when I bought the phone and saw that the $1000 off was shown as accepted so the deal still stood. Unfortunately, that store wasn't a corporate store so he told me to go to the Lakewood store. I went to the Lakewood store and that sales associate was amazing! I would highly recommend that location! She was able to call Verizon and get the $1000 off for my trade in. Even though she wasn't getting commission for the sale, she still assisted me because that's what great customer service is all about. If Danny would have been a decent human being and knew how to do his job, I wouldn't have had to go through all this trouble. I filed a formal complaint with Verizon against this location and Danny after this ordeal so that no one else has to deal with being treated unfairly. read more

I got my new phone+accessories here last Friday near closing time and overall was a good experience BUT I'm taking couple stars off because I was not able to unbox my new phone myself. During the process, the sales rep did go to the back for printing paper work.. checking stock.. etc. I didn't realize the last time he went to the back, he took my new phone, screen protector, and phone case then brought it out already everything put on the new phone.. I just don't get why he couldn't do that in front of me. It's my very first time in this situation and it made me uncomfortable. That said, to my absolute surprise, my experience at this retail outlet was AMAZING! I did show up on Saturday morning 10m before they opened...I expected a giant line but there was only a few of us. The store actually opened a few minutes early, not a few minutes late and the staff was super helpful. Juan was my assigned as my agent and I just really appreciated him. He new his stuff, he didn't oversell me stuff I didn't need and I was out of there in under 1 hour.
