I went into the 355 Fifth Ave Pittsburgh Pa location today on my lunch break to ask about promotions on Apple Watch & iPhone bundles. Didn't get any information on that. The sales person asked me what phone did I want and I told her I dont have a preference Im interested in hearing what the deals are. She asked me for my ID and I said what do you need my ID for she said thats how it works here you have to show ID. I said ok but what do you need my ID for if Im asking for prices. She said we need to run your credit, I said for what we havent even spoke about anything. She said well if you dont qualify there's no point to tell you about the promotions. At which time I left the store. I was going to pay cash if we got to that point. One of the strangest exchanges Ive ever had in a place of business. Great customer service Verizon! So I wrote a one star review on Jan. 3 2026 telling of the huge problems w Verizon refusing to correct a defective e sim card they installed in my brand new apple 16 e I phone, purchased FROM the VERIZON store in the water front. new phone is still dropping 2 to 6 calls a day. i received an AI response lp on yelp about how SORRY the VZ store manager is and how they intend to to fix the problem to insure excellent customer service. well--it's 1/24/26. i haven't heard from VZ yet. my 1 1/2 hour 'on hold' call, to 3 different VZ departments , using the VZ APP was 'transferred' between 3 different departments --not to "TECH SERVICE". Then my call (made from my home VZ phone since my cell would be guaranteed to drop the call--) was disconnected by VZ. No call back ! no email ! . VZ is my home landline PHONE and Internet and cell provider. so VZ has my contact info--they sure use it send bills promptly.. VZ's negligence and lack of care to longtime customers like my family is inexcusable. I'd give ZERO stars to VZ if that were an option. . . read more

My son lost his phone in the river, so we had to swing by and get him a new one. The water phone was an iPhone 13 pro, and he picked out the new 14 as a replacement. The fellow that helped us was nice enough, but the up-sales and fees that go along with a new phone are exhausting. Also, the fellow went to the back room a couple times, without explanation once for what was an annoyingly long time, so we asked another employee what was going on. We finally got through it...but I sure hope the kid's more careful with this new phone, as I have no desire to go through this again. read more

Bruce was my Representative helping me. I came in on a Monday evening around 7 pm and there was no wait. Lucky me! I had several questions about wanting to cut internet and cable TV from my cable TV provider and simply use the hotspot on my phone for internet. Bruce helped answer all my questions and select the appropriate service plan to accommodate speeds needed and suggested a dedicated hotspot device which I went with. All told will save at least 50.00 over my current internet setup and will be able to decide on streaming solutions to fill my void of cable TV which I rarely use anyway. I've used equivalent of rabbit ears in the past and can can get all the local free channels that way just fine. Bruce also helped me set up a claim for my existing phone to get the cracked screen repaired for 29.00. Once that is done I can get a new battery with no money spent. Time well spent tonight. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for more than 20 years. We decided to replace our phone system with a new VOIP phone system. We looked into Verizon Business Digital. The reviews for Verizon were pretty bad so we went with another provider. Verizon charged me 420.00 early termination fee. I called Verizon and spoke to Laura from customer service. She told me too bad. I told Laura I would look for other service providers and the Laura offered to get the disconnect department on the line for me to close our account. My elderly mother purchased an iPhone 15 a few months ago after her older iPhone died. Whoever she dealt with took advantage of her and ripped her off. Someone took the brand new iPhone phone charger out of the box and replaced it with an old, used Verizon brand charger. They also upsold her a magnet charger that she didn't want or need, but the salesperson misrepresented the product so bought it because she thought she needed it. Its useless. It's too late to rectify it now and I have since replaced the garbage charger by paying out of my own pocket. Whoever did this was intentional about taking advantage of an elderly customer and they should be ashamed of themselves. Verizon needs to beware of who they have working in the Homestead Waterfront location. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! The employees here are completely incompetent and are only looking to sell you data plans and not help you with your issues. I wasted 3 hours of my time in here with no resolve. one of the employees could not even explain or answer any of the questions I had about the data plan he was trying to sell me. He couldn't even do BASIC math when trying to tell me how much different plans would cost me. After the 5th time having to corrected him he yelled at me and said "Well I guess thats why I work at Verizon isn't it! I'm not a mathematician" He then refused to let me speak to another employee even though there were 5 other people working there. He said no one else could help me. Step inside of the evil empire's little hub alongside the beautiful Monongahela River in Homestead's Waterfront. Immigrants worked alongside born and bred on these toiled grounds many years ago. Fast forward to 2022, when said evil empire sent the wrong "trade-in kit," never sent another one when requested, then the online chatter sent me to the store, where I could've just gone from the beginning (it's closer to me than a UPS drop-off), but the original process didn't mention that. Arrive at store. Evil Empire Employee seems unsure why I'm there, but registers me into the check-in to be seen. Same employee paces around doing "stuff," like looking at the same displays that he's probably been looking at for 17 years and eventually decides, hell, since the other 2 people are working with other customers, I'll see what's up (about 25 minutes into my wait at this point). Says he CANNOT accept the trade-in, since I had already "requested" to do it via UPS and that process was started, but gives me a box to ship my phone in. I realize that most of this is on the corporate / online people, but VZW as a whole is TERRIBLE. And it'll continue to be for the rest of time. I can't WAIT to get the hell out of being a customer and never come back. If you're looking for an easy, helpful experience, try something else. read more

Verizon is frustratingly slow and terribly expensive! Welcome to near monopoly status. To top it off must navigate past striking workers. Get the picture: knowledgeable, efficient employees get sympathy can get sympathy in a strike. Far from the case here! Don't think this is a well managed company either! Why can't Verizon cell and FIOs talk? Like to get just one bill. Adding to this review, the fact that I have to use the working Internet across the street to post this addendum should fortify the reason for my score. I went to this store as a new customer. I was so appalled by the lack of professionalism and the strong arm up selling that I ended up walking out. Severally red flags but a couple were that I told the rep that I didn't trust Apple products and he wrote me up for a package that included an Apple Watch, an Apple charging plate, and a new phone case because of a 30% off deal. Another red flag moment was when I told them I don't watch a lot of tv and I don't need any more streaming services and they wrote me up for their highest package because it came with Disney plus and hbo... I felt like I wasn't being listened to at all. I do not recommend. read more

This location is a little different than the Verizon stores I'm used to. No check-in counter, no list of people waiting so you can see where you stand, you have to have an employee check you in, and then they will call you when it is your turn. The sales staff on the floor seemed disinterested in fixing our tech support issue, instead wanting to instead sell us an upgrade. The sales manager, though, was more than helpful! He completely solved our problem, and turned two unhappy customers into satisfied ones. read more

This company just SCAMMED me out fo $1200. They told us with our business account we get a free portable wifi box. We asked if there will be charges and they said no it's just a promotion and the box and service was free. We took it and never used it and noticed on our bill they locked us in to a 2 year contract at $45 for a box we NEVER EVEN ACTIVATED. These guys are shady scam artists!!! read more

I was astonished at the lack of concern for the customer. I was explained in the phone with Verizon my upgrades were all in place. When I got to the store the story changed. I asked to speak to Sunjay the floor manager who proceeded in a very demeaning manner and portrayed a third version of the story I was told all day. Customer Service is greatly lacking. I went in today having been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and today I seriously though about switching carriers. I've had my phone for over a year and a half and it's totally stopped working. Instead of trying to serve me as a customer I was sent to the online services kiosk and then told that I could do everything myself online. I pay well over $150 a month and I'm wondering why because when I need customer service I get a kiosk and online. If you're looking to become a verizon customer think really hard and then find another store to go to! read more

went to this verizon store to open a new account with my husband, and to upgrade to a new iphone. the customer service was very disappointing. our salesman tried to sell us several packages that we weren't interested in, but the worst part was that he rushed through the information and details about prices, didn't answer our questions clearly, was defensive when we pushed for more information. something that really irritated me: when he turned the phone on for the first time, he skipped through the set up questions rather than let me set up the phone myself. when i asked about that, he told me all the info was somewhere in settings. that may be true, but i wanted to do it myself, and know what the options were for set up. overall, i left feeling pretty uncomfortable. i wish our salesperson was more patient and less sales-y. read more

Protect yourself.they do not sell items without a data plan. I couldn't buy an iPad. They have aggressive sales -Commision based. The space is nice... but people give off a pawn shop vibe. They high pressured me into a sale for a Hum (car device) assuring me I could bring it back if I didn't like it w out any trouble. If I could give this place, a "no star" you can bet your last dollar I would. Over the last three days, I have been here three times and been met with such horrific service, that it's beyond me how this location stays in business. Twice I was met with downright rude customer service by a woman who answered my questions practically in grunts and eye rolls, and then for today's experience (third time), I was given absolutely incorrect information (so unbelievably off base, that I can't believe such a mistake was made). If I hadn't come home and re-read some information that was mailed to me (instead of just solely going on the information I had been given in store), my bill would have been charged nearly $600!!!! That's right, $600!!!! (And a VERY needless $600, too!!!) Thankfully, by the grace of God, I called Verizon's Customer Service telephone number to follow up on the (incorrect) information I'd been given. It was stunning how terrible my experience was. After all this was over, I felt like I needed an IV of alcohol that would last me the rest of the week. Though this location is definitely the most convenient for me to get to, in the future I will go out of my way to avoid going here. You should too. read more

Came in to add a line onto my account for my girlfriend, Bruce was extremely helpful and set us up with a brand new iPhone7 and a new unlimited data plan. He even stayed with us while we ported her number from another carrier on to the new phone. Bruce made the whole process simple and quick. Can't say enough good things about my experience here tonight. I have had bad times at other Verizon wireless stores but that was not the case here, this will be my go to location from here in out. well, i've yet to see if they actually solved the problem with my phone.. so maybe i'll up a star if it works. but the experience was pretty "eh" at this verizon store. i came in with a memory problem on my phone - it was saying there was no available space when there was next to nothing taking up the space to begin with. the sales associate suggested i try a software update, which of course, i couldn't do because of the lack of space. so then she suggested a factory reset. (i'm really hoping this works considering the phone started doing this even after it was relatively new so i'm not quite sure how resetting it will solve the problem anyway...) and while it was resetting, she proceeded to flirt with an ex-employee who happened to stop by. the associate was friendly enough, but didn't seem particularly knowledgeable. now, this is the first time i've been to this store, so it may be just that particular employee but it didn't reflect well on my visit. read more

Recently we used the trade-in at Verizon for our perfectly good iPhone 4S when we upgraded to a new 5s. The value was at $200 through their estimating tool. Even though they would only give you the funds via a gift card to use at Verizon, we figured we could put it towards our monthly bill. The return packaging came and we shipped it back. To our amazement, the subcontractor they used said it was only worth $35!!! The subcontractor won't return our calls and Verizon said their was nothing they could do about this. So, now we are out $165 that we could have easily gotten if we had gone through the Apple trade-in. What a bait and switch this turned out to be. We will never use a trade-in at Verizon again! read more

Honestly the last few times I went into the store I was satisfied, which is not usual, as I prep for a battle anytime I need to go into a Verizon store. However, this time around they went back to their usual ways. Last week I wanted to trade in an iPhone5S for an iPhone6 as advertised, they guy checking me in line said sure we can do that! Great! I thought. Waited 20 minutes, listening to some old woman with a notepad taking notes on what the salesman was telling her about flip phone plans (are you kidding me?), then finally it was my turn and I was excited, to only find out they have no iPhone6's in stock, which the first guy checking me in was too incompetent to inform me of, so they couldn't help me. More will be in soon they say. So, I call today to find out if they have any in stock (its 20 min away so I dont want to waste an hour driving and waiting there for the same results) and I dial the store number and nobody answers for 30 min. What they heck are they doing in there and no online support or customer service center have access to their stores info or can call a number to get through and ask. So I will continue to play the waiting game. It'd be nice if they actually were concerned about customer satisfaction for once, they are second only to Comcast in how little they care about the customer. read more
