I've been in three Targets in the last two days. All of them were organised the same, which was very helpful. I did a return in The one in Washington PA and the clerk was very friendly and quick. The clothing was pretty organised, given the weekend hours. Prices were good, I found some things with a clearance price. Checkout was quick also, again the clerks were quick to move you along. I wonder when Target stopped asking their employees to interact with their shoppers (or as they used to be called when I worked there, "guests). Having not been to a Target in Pennsylvania before, we did a lap around almost all of the hardlines areas, from Health & Beauty, through grocery and seasonal, and a fair amount of time back in both Electronics and Pets, looking for a sweater for our dog and scoping out the latest holiday deals. During our 25 to 30 minutes in the store, we didn't interact with a single employee. No one said hello as they passed by us--and several Target Team Members walked right by us. No one asked if we needed help finding anything. And self-checkout meant there was no cashier interaction, either. The store was in good shape for the Monday after Black Friday, but that has me curious if the corporate direction is to focus on making the stores look nice and let people find things (or not) on their own. read more

Considering that I live in the South Hills, I think it's safe to safe that this Target is not conveniently located near my home. It is, however, in a part of town that I pass through on occasion. So sometimes when I need groceries or home items, I'll stop here to grab them. If you like Target in general, you'll probably like this Target location. Parking is plentiful, although getting to a parking space requires some patience due to the busy nature of the Waterfront. Inside, the store has the usual: a Starbucks, a Pizza Hut, and well-sectioned shopping areas. Clothes are in one section, books and toys in another section, groceries are in another section, pharmacy and beauty are in another section...you get the idea. During my visits, everything has been organized and well-stocked. Other reviewers have mentioned their customer service experiences, but for me, one of the big draws of shopping at Target is the self-checkout option. Target's self-checkouts are great! There's lots of space for you to fill your bags, and the machines don't get mad at me for placing a reusable bag in the bagging area (something that ALWAYS happens at Giant Eagle...). The only drawback is that at my go-to Targets, I enter on the left side of the store - here, you enter on the right side. It sounds simple and silly but sometimes I feel a little turned around while walking through this store. I ultimately have no real complaints about this Target; I won't go out of my way to shop here (that would require crossing some rivers!), but it's still a solid shopping option when I'm in the area. read more

This was my first time at this location, but I frequent Target regularly. I just happened to be in the Waterfront for other reasons. I wasn't there for that reason but this Target has a large and well organized beauty section. They carry a fair number of natural beauty products as well which I like. My main reason for going was to look at Halloween items. I will say the section was a bit of a mess. Items were strewn on the floor. Those that were hanging were in the wrong places. There was no organization to it. I didn't have the energy to dig through so we wound up just doing a quick spin through and leaving. The grocery section was fine. However, I did notice they overlapped price tags in the spice section so it was really difficult to know the prices of some items. They had a good number of registers open and we didn't even have to wait in line. We checked out very quickly, even though the cashier had to search for a price on an item which wasn't ringing up. Overall it was a fairly good trip. However, since the main reason we went in there was a mess that took away from it. If I am down there I would stop back in, but otherwise I would probably stick to the Monroeville or East Liberty locations I usually go to. read more

This location of Target is the one that I most frequently visit for buying beauty, hygiene, cleaning, and cat products. Shelves are fully stocked. The store is clean. I thought that their travel-sized deodorant, facewash, and conditioner were very expensive and overpriced for the small sizes. A package of kitchen sponges rang up as several dollars rather than the couple of dollars that the shelf sticker had said. Other products such as baking pans, foundation, and toothpaste were priced fairly. The cashier was polite, and the line of customers at the register was not long. read more

The Waterfront as a whole is a pretty busy shopping area and this particular Target is no different. With a bunch of big box stores and restaurants at this side of the mall it can get pretty busy here. This Target however to me seems like one of the more disorganized ones compared to the many others I've been to. Clothing displays are very mixed up that is many things are on racks mixed up with other things. I found a wall hanging I liked but it was hard to go through them where the diagonal racks storing them were. Some of the toys seem to be like that too. It's not as easy to find things here as other places. Things are or end up being where they just don't seem to belong for one reason or another. The one saving grace of most of the Target stores including this one is the check out lines are very fast and efficient. That and the aisles are large enough to negotiate around because they seem wide enough that you don't feel so tight like at Walmart. read more

I'm an avid target fan and almost every target is pretty consistent. This one is fine, usually has what I'm looking for except there will be a lot of empty selves and I've noticed the women's section can be a little messy. It's a close target to me so I shop here regularly and as far as targets go I've been in way worse. Employees have always been nice and helpful if I'm looking for something. Having this at the waterfront is great because it's easy to get to plus there's plenty of other stores you may want to stop in all close by! read more

I can't give this place a bad review because I'm always here and I've never had a problem with the staff. Nice atmosphere and plenty of room to move around. They have a nice selection of things, I also love the Starbucks they have inside. They used to have a food court but sadly removed it. read more

This target is constantly under construction, which is great for the company - but as a customer it is annoying to have to maneuver around all of the tarps in the multiple sections of the store. Also, their bathrooms are currently under construction so they have a double PortoJohn bathroom outside for employees and customers to use. On a side note, the Starbucks in this Target makes some of the worst drinks. Save your money and go to the Starbucks closer to the movie theater down the Waterfront. read more

I love shopping at target for the wide variety of items you can buy from food, clothes, beauty, baby, toys, books, electronics, home and pet supplies. This particular location does offer a large selection of food including some fresh produce. They are currently remodeling the store so it's a bit hectic. They also have a Starbucks inside which is a target mom dream being able to get your coffee and walk around. read more

After working for the rival of Target for years, Target has become my favorite mega chain store to shop at. Although it does not seem to have every single item as other stores I'm still able to get in and get out in a hurry. Depending on the time of day, it may be a task just to find a parking space due to the traffic light at the end of the road. If you don't mind walking a bit, the aisle where the pharmacy sign is on the building usually has spots closer to the front of the store. The only downside I can find for this location is the smell of overly burnt buttered popcorn as soon as you walk in due to the cafe location. I prefer not to vomit as soon as I walk into a store, maybe after about ten minutes in I'd consider it. read more

I can live at Target sometimes. I find myself coming back over and over to look at house and kitchen stuff I absolutely don't need. Maybe I need new pillows or thank you notes? No? I still need to come look at them because it's Target. Addicting. This one is closer to my house and it's a relatively nice size. I wouldn't rave about customer service because it's very, very basic or sometimes doesn't exist. On my last visit I had a young lady ringing me up and talking to her friend on the side at the same time. She couldn't scan some soap so she asked me what the price was and I couldn't remember (but I knew it was on sale for two-something dollars). Instead of checking it out, I watched her enter $3.99 as she continued to speak with her friend. I found some other mistakes as well. When I'm out on the floor browsing, I rarely ever get anyone asking if I need any help (if any associates happen to be nearby). 99% of the time I don't actually need help, but it's the thought that counts I guess. I don't usually grocery shop at Target, but if I do need something then this one is fine for me. It's a good location, parking is easy, carts are always available (with wipes to sanitize!), there's a starbucks in there (umm hello addiction #1), and you can find some good deals. I like how they have easy to find/browse clearance sections at the end of aisles. If you have their target card then some of the sales give you gift cards for a purchase and you get 5% off all your purchases with that card. I still love you Target. Always. read more

Target and I go way back like the driver's seat in my brother's car. Despite my murky history with Target, I prefer it way more over Walmart, which is closer to home. Just overall quality, atmosphere, and clientele is way better. We needed a large number of photos printed and my father had decided to go to FedEx. I can only imagine this decision because they're known for print quality. They should also be known for being cumbersome and overcharging. After an hour of struggling with their machines to print, we left. I suggested Target because we were in the area, and I halfway remembered that they used the Kodak app to develop pictures from your phone. As soon as we get in, it's always a win because pictures are 25¢, compared to 49¢ at their competitor. It was easy to sync up the photo library via wifi to the kiosk with the app. After choosing and modifying all of our pictures, we were given a slip stating our order of 63 pictures would be ready in 15 minutes. We picked up everything else we needed and checked out, finishing in 7 minutes. By then our photos were done and we checked out at the photo stand, paying less than half of what we anticipated paying at the other place. Plus the quality was fantastic, the photos weren't too glossy, and everything worked out perfectly. Will we be back? Absolutely! read more

For all you parents out there: the baby section is split in this store. They moved all the diapers, wipes, baby/toddler food, and baby bath/body products in between the adult bath/body products and the electronics. However, the infant clothes, toys, and accessories are still in between shoes and girls. Therefore, instead of being able to run in and grab a pair of socks AND a box of diapers in 5 minutes, it will take you 15 minutes while you wander all over the store. ANNOYING!!! Plus, the parking lot at the Waterfront is always crowded and an accident waiting to happen. read more

I'm not giving Target 5 stars for the obvious, which is tons of impulse merch aimed at moms like me- no they get 5 stars for their impeccable customer service. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I was there last week after working a night shift so I was tired. I used the self checkout to complete my purchase and went to my car. At that point I noticed that my wristlet wallet was missing. I completely panicked, searched the car, my bags, parking lot, etc. anyway In a last attempt I went back into the store almost in tears and asked if by chance it had been turned in or found. The security team quickly reviewed the tapes and were somehow able to find my tiny wristlet wrapped around the bottom of my former cart, which was now in use by another customer in the store. They locked the doors and tracked the girl down (at this point I was so embarrassed yet so so grateful) no joke, the security team at target is like the FBI- they do not mess around. I tried to buy them lunch but they were not allowed to accept anything. With that said target has a customer for life- they really care about their customers and really went the extra mile for me and it won't be forgotten. There was a sentimental piece of jewelry in that bag that no amount of money ever would have replaced. read more

Target is one of my favorite stores -- I just love wandering around late at night when the store is quiet -- it's just so therapeutic! This location is now my closest store, so I drop by pretty often. This store is pretty average. Inventory and customer service aren't particularly stellar but isn't poor either. I've generally been able to find what I need here and check out pretty quickly. In addition to the common pharmacy and photo studio found in most Targets, this location also has an optical department. Of the 10-15 locations in the Pittsburgh area, only this store and the Cranberry store sell glasses. I purchased a pair of glasses and sunglasses through Target Optical three years ago and have been very happy with their product and customer service. read more

Target is pretty standard. If you've been to one of them, you'll know largely what to expect from this one. That being said, this store is clean, and the deals one clearance can be good. Just make sure to check the circular and the website, as sometimes additional coupons can be found that the store personnel aren't aware of. The electronics department staff are not very knowledgeable, and tried to pressure me into buying a different TV by repeating marketing lingo, but were unable to explain what their claims actually were when challenged on them, so make sure to do your research beforehand if purchasing electronics. read more

Target is my go to for toiletries, cleaning supplies, and candy runs before the movie. This particular Target is a nice stop on my lunch break. The ladies room is always clean and the scent in there reminds me of Fruity Pebbles, odd I know. Every now and again, I see decent deals on athletic wear and cosmetics. You get 5 cents off for each reusable bag you use. Shelves are generally well stocked. The store as a whole is pretty clean although some areas appear cluttered. There's a Starbucks and Pizza Hut at this location. I've had positive experience with customer service. One time, I was here to purchase items from a registry, but their kiosk was down. One of the associates took her time to show me how to pull up the registry on my phone. Granted, the WiFi was poor that day, but the gesture was greatly appreciated. There is plenty of parking here and the lines move quickly. read more

Is it me or when I shop at Target and get to the register the total is always double what I anticipated it be? Am I the only one?! Target reminds me of Hills when I was a kid. Since the rise of AMAZON I find it kind of pointless to visit any more. They do have good prices of CD's and sometimes a hell of a deal on games, but nothing you couldn't find looking hard on EBay. My experience here was not great at all. I went in like 2 weeks ago attempting to get help with my home phone. I walked into this store expecting to be greeted by an elderly gentleman, alas i wasn't and when i walked back to the home phone department to get assistance they told me my geek squad warranty was no good here. I told the ignorant employee that i was asking just for a new one for free... how simple can that be. I paid 10 extra for my geek squad support and they couldnt even give me my free home phone that i deserved. I asked to speak with a manager and he told me to leave. After the police came and escorted the WRONG person out!!! I went to a more freindly store best buy electronics and they took care of me. I will never go back to target ever AGAIN. 1 star read more

The lines were crazy long today and I was only buying one thing. I was relieved when they sent a few more cashiers in and opened up some more lines. Target has literally EVERYTHING that you could possibly need in your home. They have electronics, food, water, things for babies, medicine, toys, jewelry, makeup, home decor, clothes, a photo printer, school/art supplies, books, movies, handbags and other accessories, gift cards, occasional cards,Steelers merchandise, and so much more. They have a little stand where you can get popcorn, hot dogs, soda, slushies, etc. They also have a Starbucks in case you need a little something else to drink. The people who work there are so kind and want to help as much as possible. And for convenience there is a self checkout! read more

I go to this Target because it's the closest to me. But - with the horrendous experiences I have had lately (coupled with those from the past), I'm not sure I will go here again. I have had the occasional good experience - which is the reason for the second star. But after the reasons I am listing below - I would rather drive further to have a good experience. Reasons: 1. Last weekend I purchased 3 Gimme Seaweed snacks, 4 6 packs of pepsi (target really does have the best price) and a few other items. When I got rung out - I noticed that my pepsi did not get on my receipt. I will give the girl credit - she really did scan it. So i paid for my soda separately. Well, when I got out to the car - I looked at my receipts - I had been charged for 6 seaweed snacks. They were on sale 3 for $5. Had it been $1 difference - I would have moved on but $5 is a couple gallons of gas! I took my bag back in, took it to customer service. I was accused of stealing 3 snacks - leaving them in my car. REALLY!? The girl who could have walked out with 4 6 packs of soda?! I told her she was welcome to come look in my car - which she refused. They also wouldn't give me my $5 back. I tried by speaking with a manager. So if I wouldn't have told my cashier about my 4 packs of soda - would I had been accused of stealing again?! 2. I went yesterday - MLK day around 12:30ish. Being a holiday I expected it to be busy - but it really wasn't that bad. I always look in the cold food section - as I like their simply balanced milk and a few other things. First - this area had about 8 employees 6 empty shopping carts and a few of those big silver carts. You could barely get around - and not a single employee would talk to you. That's ok - I get it, your taking expired food off shelves and putting fresh out? Well...I look at the Parmesan cheese (Not Kraft!) randomly - thinking I may buy some. (sale!) However, there was a HUGE clump of mold in the middle. So I say to one of the 8 employees - Hey - this has mold in it, and hand it over. He inspects it (in silence), says "hm", and proceeds to put it back on the shelf. Blue cheese has mold dude...NOT parmesan! WHAT THE HECK. I go and get the container with intentions of taking it to customer service. (I got it to a manager, told her the situation, and moved on). 3. Same day (MLK day). Cashier...I have a cashier I avoid due to past experiences. She throws your stuff, is rude, and unpleasant. They really need to step up their cashier game. Every single one seems miserable. This trip I had gotten eggs, milk, pasta and sauce. I told her I had cartwheel and a gift card. I had her my phone and my gift card. She scans the gift card first - then flips out on me because I didn't give her my cartwheel first and payment must be done first. Argh. I apologized but said - I handed you both - you got to decide what you scanned first. But the best part was when I got home. She bagged my eggs with my GLASS JARS OF PASTA SAUCE. As you can imagine - 3/4s of my eggs didn't make it. These are just 3 examples of how downhill this Target has gone. I love the closeness, I LOVE Target. But not this one. I'm not asking for them to bend over backwards for me. But don't put the moldy cheese back on the shelf! And for heavens sake - don't put heavy glass pasta jars in a plastic bag with a carton of eggs. read more

I've been to many Targets and they're all the same. However, this particular one is currently being remodeled. Children's clothing, toys, electronics and health & beauty items have been moved to other parts of the store. There is a new Starbucks that is now open. The cafe that is there has been remodeled and will serve Pizza Hut pizza and other new menu items. The area where the electronics used to be it is now going to have a small grocery section. Basically, this Target in Homestead will eventually look like the one in East Liberty. I like this Target, so I am pleased with the new changes (especially Starbucks)! read more

I used to not like Target that much. I always considered it as a more expensive Walmart with less stuff. I mean I guess if you're into decorating stuff and pretending that you're someone you're not, this place is the bee's knees. But I'm not that dude. This store is always clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Plus, there's always plenty of lanes open and you rarely have to wait to check out. Personally, I love their popcorn. You walk into Target and that's the first thing you smell. It smells tasty! And it tastes just as good, if not better, than how it smells. You get a decent-sized bag for a buck. They also have this little area in the front where the carts are. It has about thirty things for a dollar. Usually they're pretty crappy but you can usually find something cool. Most of their stuff is cheaper at Walmart. But occasionally they will have something on sale thats a deal. read more

Yesterday, (for the second time at this target location) I utilized the Kodak Moments app through Targets photo labs. I pick which photos I want printed on the app and submit it for whichever Target location I want them printed at. Every target location I've used has successfully printed my photos for years using this app except the target at the waterfront. It's very frustrating because I not only received a confirmation number but also an email saying my photos are ready to be picked up at the waterfront photo lab! Since this was my second time attempting this (and the first time was unsuccessful as well) I figured I'll call the photo lab to 100% make sure they were in fact done. When I called, not only did I get hung up on and had to call back, but the associate very unprofessionally stated my photos are not there. I explained I have a confirmation number and an email saying they are done. She states "well I can't find them". ....so does that mean you guys lost my photos? Are they floating around for everyone to see? Can you at least attempt to reprint them for me? Can we solve this repeated issue with a better answer then "you don't know". read more

Went here last saturday and the service to customers is great. Sure it was busy but workers could be found in almost every department and even anwser questions. I love that. I should say props to Mike, Michelle and Kaitlyn they were so helpful to me. Helped me find Vanilla extract, A DC Comic Charcter i was looking for everywhere and a cologne they didnt have in stock. Bravo loved it, felt like royalty. Tho their starbucks is not so good! hmm oh well not part of target! read more
