I saw an assortment of shirts, pants, shorts, dresses, coats, and other apparel that previous retailers could not sell. I recognized brands such as Calvin Klein and Nike, but I had not previously heard of some of the other brands. I thought that the prices were low to moderate. At the same time, another employee positioned an iPhone near where we were standing, which made us feel uncomfortable and singled out. We are both African American, and the behavior of the employees felt prejudiced and unnecessary. We entered the store fully intending to purchase fragrances, but left feeling disappointed and unwilling to spend our hard-earned money in an environment where we felt judged rather than welcomed.

I usually sell my clothes at Plato's but they recommended taking dress clothes here. I had lots of name brand and very gently worn clothes. I waited 1.5 hours and then got the text my clothes were done. They took NOTHING- they said it was bc it was youth?? Definitely not true- I had classic shirts and mostly dress pants so how are standard dress pants considered youth? The workers were middle- older women so I think this store must be for older adults. Most of the people shopping there are 50+. I won't return. Also they desperately need to update their website- it's super outdated and have like one pair of pants for 75$.

I did NOT sell any of my used items to the store. When I entered the store, an employee immediately said hello to me. As I browsed the racks, I saw clothing in a variety of extra-small, small, medium, large, extra-large, and extra-extra-large sizes. Surprisingly, I had not previously heard of many of the brands. Only some brands were well-known designers or upscale stores. The prices were reasonable and frequently ranged from $10-30 per item. I chose a long-sleeved shirt from J.Jill. The store's tag was still attached to the shirt, and the regular price was $69. Style Encore's price was only $19. I waited at the cash register for several minutes before an employee rang up my purchase. She accurately charged me and thanked me. She invited me to join Style Encore's membership program (I forget the exact name of it), but I declined.
