Monroeville's Chico's is on the small side, but they make the most of the small space and still manage to offer a great amount of trying-on area. Chico's offers great stand out pieces and often I feel like one piece from their line is about as loud as I'm willing to shout in an outfit. An entire ensemble would make me feel way too I'M OVER HERE, but if I'm looking for a little middle aged fashion focus fun this is where I turn. BTW - couldn't hate the term middle aged more, but there's a definite demographic targeted here and, well, I'm certainly it! Chico's jewelry is often way too much for me, but they have an abundance of scarves and pattern-pop in their clothing lines so there is no reason to feel unfinished or bling-deprived, if going for the whole enchilada! The Monroeville staff is very friendly and helpful and the store shows its merchandise very well. Oh yes - and there's always a sale going on!

Many years ago when I was a teenager, I sometimes shopped at Rainbow Shops. Now that I am older and have more money, I rarely shop here, but I recently felt curious about their merchandise so stopped in. An employee made eye contact with me and walked way rather than speak with me. The racks were packed with many styles of shirts, sweaters, pants, dresses, jackets, and more. The quality of the fabrics, sewing, etcetera was OK. Prices were fairly low. I found a few t-shirts in different colors that I liked and that each cost only several dollars.

The cashier spoke very nicely with me, greeting me and wishing me a good day. She made no mistakes with the transaction. I was asked to donate my rounded-up change to the Hispanic Federation charity, which appears to do good work but, based on your political views, you might want to look up before donating.

It's not on par with that new Dick's House of Sport at Ross Park, but it's decent for this area.

I've noticed these changes since shopping here since 2019 & this location has made huge leaps & bounds by offering what I've just mentioned recently. My shopping experiences have improved in checkout efficiency. Even full service checkout has a little improvement as I've observed 3-4 checkout lanes open recently vs 1 lane more backed up then Pittsburgh tunnel traffic at rush hour. Checkout experiences will vary as some cashiers have knowledge pertaining to non-traditional payments like Healthy Benefits (United Health OTC/Grocery benefit) or store credit card. Eight times out of 2 my checkout experiences have been efficient & reasonably quick while offering satisfactory customer service. Associates strive to assist customers in other areas throughout this store. Each dept offers only essentials within merchandise selections. If your sewing auto or home improvement projects involve beyond their selections of your needs. Go elsewhere. Store cleanliness remains above average; they could stand to maintain their restrooms better & dressing rooms with less items & other clutter left inside. Shopping areas seem to be maintained well as I didn't see any problems with the floors furnishings or anything filthy for that matter. Organization tends to remain a problem but it's kept to a minimum possible & kept as such by dedicated store employee's & OCD (Yes I organize things there too) customers. My main patronage consists of groceries or merchandise from their pharmaceutical section. Grocery selection remains on par with Giant Eagle or Khun's offering 3 basic depts (Bakery Deli & Meats/seafood) & sometimes more expanded depending on what foods youre looking for. I love their pizza selection as theirs is unique carrying primo brands not found elsewhere. Same goes with their other foods or beverages. I shop their electronics occasionally & they've begun offering brands & items you'd usually find within best buy or other major electronics stores. Other service offered on premises is their TLE (Tire Lube Express) offering basic maintenance services from tire repair oil chances along with other selected car maintenance services. First, I'm an individual and not a business - not that that should matter, but maybe it does…read more "Sally" is not going to get rich from my patronage. I've gone into this store, located in the Jonnett Plaza, Monroeville, several times. The issue is not the selection, as they always have what I need. The problem is the service. There is one (1) nice, courteous person in a sea of snippy, crabby women. Example: Me: "Excuse me... Do you know anything about hair?" Her: "Ya. I know mine looks good" period. No smile, no indication that the conversation would continue. AND no one else (except me) in line. So like an idiot, I keep trying and find that I'm not going to get anything. AND being distracted allowed myself to be double charged for an item. Less than $10, but enough to rankle and really be disappointed in myself for not keeping better tabs on my $$$. Did I go back? No. I came here instead. The more frustrating part is that I WILL go back, because their inventory is A+ for my needs... I just hope that one nice person is working. Fingers crossed.
