AWFUL customer service & quality control. Purchased a Nintendo Switch Game. The plastic seal was broken when the employee gave me the game, I did not think much into it. When I open the box at home there is no game or instruction manual inside. Just an empty box. The next morning I go to the store and talk to customer service and they refuse to exchange or refund because the seal has been open. Quote from Target,"If we accept this return it will negatively impact our inventory." They tell me to call Nintendo. Nintendo says the retailer (Target) needs to contact them if there is an issue, but Target refuses to take further action. Target told me I should open the game in the store after purchase to ensure there is actually a game in the box before leaving the store. Absolutely Ridiculous. This is very disheartening, I shop at Target all the time, but will not be anymore. read more

Targets are one of those sorta iconic all the stores are the same formula kind of places...but it's still a good place to shop. My son wanted to stop in to see if they stocked an album he was looking for...and they had it. A couple tee-shirt and other stuff later he was happy with his purchases and the prices were okay by me. I go to all the Pittsburgh-area Target stores, and have to say unequivocally that the Monroeville store suffers from a serious housekeeping problem (whereas the others do not). Example: There's a portion of the men's department that they use to park racks of brassieres and other women's clothing. It's directly in front of the shelves of men's clothing. And no, it doesn't move--although sometimes there are three racks rather than the usual two. What kind of merchandising technique is this? I wonder what Target corporate would have to say. read more

This is a Target. It's a very average Target. I don't get outraged by stupid little things that happen everywhere and write nuclear reviews (like the low-star reviews you'll find here). Sometimes, due to the pandemic, they don't have everything I wanted to buy, but that's happening everywhere. I don't sweat the small stuff. I've never had a bad experience at this store. The staff is friendly. The store is clean. The shelves are stocked as well as any other Target (or other discount box store in the US). There aren't screaming babies in every aisle (like at the Walmart). I like their products and the convenience of being able to get dog food, a few snacks or groceries, and a set of sheets all at the same place. I'm not crotchety or persnickety. I hate this particular Target location. Everything about it irritates me. From the moment you turn into the parking lot the irritation sets in. Talk about confusion. More people turn in here to go to Giant Eagle that is further down the lot which clogs up traffic to exit the lot. This is an older Target and it shows already. If feels kind of dreary in here. They need to spiff it up some, reorganize the inside of the store. Am I one of the only people that want to throw up as soon as I walk in here and smell the nasty burned popcorn wafting out from their little cafe? I mean, I think it could be a test to see if you are really fit to shop at this location. If you can survive the smell and walk throw that odor wall, you are suitable enough to shop here. Customer service here is almost nonexistent. It's almost impossible to find an associate in a red shirt to help you out. And who has the time to use their red phones? Be out and about where you are visible. Maybe this is a reason why many more people are doing their shopping online. When I come here, a majority of my friends do not know that this Target even exist. When I hear that I don't even take the time to tell them where it is, because coming here is not worth it. read more

I haven't shopped here in awhile and didn't miss it much until they launched their "Drive-up" and "pick up" service. This new buy online pick up or drive up service is a game changer. Using their store App, I can literally order stuff at 5pm and 'drive up' will have someone run my items out to my car in less than an hour. I don't have to get out of my car, deal with the elements, impatient patrons, crowds, zombies, over shopping my list, long checkout lines, and can even wear slippers. :))) This type of convenience can't be beat! Plus, the app notifies you when your order is ready for pick up. Its a multitasker's dream! While Amazon requires just 1 day, this service is on average less than 2 hours (depending on what you purchase and what's in stock). You can get almost anything in stock for as little as $20 and there are no surcharges. The game is changing for the better. I can get my stuff quickly and move on to my caregiving responsibilities with less stress and more ease. I highly recommend it and currently there are 4 open parking spaces for drive-up and a Target Circle discount program. I give them 4/5 stars because pickup at the desk can be slow and you can't get most market pantry or food items (e.g., some fresh groceries, Brioche buns) using this service. read more

Never any crazy checkout lines - they ALWAYS seem to be able to manage their lines well-- Target has the best cat food prices and I love being able to get a furnace filter here, too. Great seasonal section. Nice greeting cards. Candles. DVD's for camp. Um, Scarves... See? This is how they get me! Today I went to the Target store in Monroeville and with a pandemic, it is unbelievable that they do not disinfect the carts. Not only that, but the people that were working there we're not wearing gloves and I only saw two women wearing masks. I guess they don't understand how viruses are spread. It makes me feel unsafe going in there, plus the shelves are never stocked. And when I mean never stocked, even in the best of circumstances. I'm not sure what the problem is with this particular store and I don't know if the manager ever reads these reviews, but he or she should. I've decided I'm not going back to the store anymore. This would get 5 stars if it had a Starbucks. This store is generally clean and tidy despite having a lot of customers. There is a lot of available parking. The lighting is nice. The grocery section is impressive and boasts a generous amount of fresh produce. Because this is a larger store, they usually have more products in stock than other stores. I went to this Target with my mother, and I really wasn't impressed. We went to go check out their shopkin items (which they really didn't have much) but ended up looking at a few other things instead. My mother wanted to get feather pillows for my step-dad. We went over to where they were, and she found the one she liked, however, they didn't have any that she could purchase! We found a memory foam pillow instead that was a lot cheaper than the ones she was originally planning to purchase and went with those. All in all, the store is clean, their parking lot is clean, and their employees seemed nice. I just don't believe they wouldn't keep at least 1-2 pillows stocked. read more

We just did a drive up pick up at the Monroeville Target. The last two times we did not need to show our barcode to the employee and I told her as much. This time the girl said"we always need a barcode with pick up!" in a snotty tone. I said "oh ok". She couldn't scan it because I needed to adjust the brightness. I couldn't adjust the brightness, I mean she's standing in the Sun... it wouldn't adjust so she gives it back to me and I tried again. She finally got it to scan... Warning to "pickup in store" online shoppers using PayPal. If you don't pick up an online order in time and Target cancels it, they do not credit your PayPal account, even though the website says "You'll receive a refund to the original payment tender for any canceled items." They will only send you a Target gift card, I had to call customer service twice to fix this, The first person was no help and didn't care. The second person was magically able to credit my PayPal (so it can be done). It just took 20 min of fighting on the phone and online chat to get what they promised on the website. It seems like a scam for them to keep your money at Target. read more

My husband and I dropped by this Target for the first time last weekend. It's a pretty typical Target, which isn't bad, but just not 5 star worthy. I spent most of my time looking at baby clothes, travel products, and greeting cards and found everything that I wanted with no issue. I noticed that my husband wasn't following me around, begging me to leave... and soon to discovered that he had found a scooter on clearance. As Target stores go, this one in Monroeville is a strong average. Not too big, not too great a selection, not really great bargains, not really friendly or overly helpful staff, just average all the way. On the other hand, there are not fights in the aisles or people getting mugged in the parking lot like some other stores we've heard about recently. Moving here from the Cleveland area I was excited to have a Target so close....boy was I in for a suprise. This particular store drives me nuts. Parking is horrible, the staff isnt very friendly when you have a question, inflatted prices, displays are never faced up/ restocked, and sale items get charged at full price. This Target is next to the Giant Eagle that generates a crazy amount of traffic. This is the closest location to my place so while it's more convenient, I usually find myself with two baskets and not a cart. You know, so I don't have aisle rage. This location has great products and prices, which is why I prefer it over the Walmart by my house. read more

I usually love Target stores but this one leaves a lot to be desired. They often have false displays or old displays up and the checkout people do NOT know the sales and charge full price when the items are taken from the SALE RACK. Management not much help and this Target does not have a huge selection either. Really wish someone would go in and restructure the store and the employees. Went there with my dad to get Pedigree dog food 33pounds for the sale when you buy 2 bags you get a $10 went up to check out the checkout girl didn't mention the $10 gift card so I mentioned it, she called I'm assuming a manger who didn't introduce herself came up the cashier who told her the situation so the assuming manger went back to look at the dogfood then came back said there's nothing there, no sale, nothing, so my dad went back to put back a bag since we weren't getting two if we didn't get the $10 gift card and he came back with the tag saying "when you buy 2 get $10 gift card", cashier called he manager back once again and she really examined the bags of dog food and the sale ticket (you could clearly tell she either didn't want to give to us and/or didn't believe it) she then finally gave us the $10 gift card and then the cashier said to the manger she ripped up the coupon.. sales go from Saturday to Sunday so no need to rip up the sales since people still have one day to get it, we just thought we were getting ripped off, make sure you check and double check the sales make sure you're getting them and don't let them tell you wrong or make you thing you're wrong. read more
